Blackwood in Walsall

the food was great but what put me off was how she treated her employees ,the girl looked like she was having a breakdown , i’ve been in there a few times before and the food has always been decent not the best but not the worst, but it was really the way she spoke to her staff ,really threw me off going again as i felt to say something because i wouldn’t like it if it was my daughter !!!!

I have visited this chip shop for years and have seen the size of the fish potions get smaller and smaller you don’t notice at first until you go elsewhere! The last piece of fish I had was the size of the lunch time special and was over cooked! The chips are now pre peeled and pre cut, we know the difference it comes out in the overall flavour! (All chips shops are going this way) all I’m saying is don’t rip us off and please stand out and go back to peeling your own potato’s instead of buying them ready done! I miss the crispy bits!!

This is a great chippy.We love the food and will happily drive to Streetly from Boldmere for the good tasty food. My husband loves the Donner Kebab as it is done to perfection. Thank ou guys.

Picked up our usual take out from here. Delicious as always ... Friendly staff too, thanks guys. See you again soon.

The best fish and chip shop around and there are plenty of good ones locally. Portions are very generous. The fish delicious. Great curry sauce. Very friendly service, always kind yo our children Regulars here for 10 plus years. Highly recommend.

Best takeaway curry around by a mile, really tasty food, fresh herbs, varied menu..exceptional, always delivered piping hot within 20/30 mins.

I'm presuming that Blackwood Takeaway is what we locals call Blackwood fish & chip Shop I have had fish from here many times and it has been perfection. Equal to Harry Ramsdens Some time ago however they may have contaminated the frying fat with cooking something else. Anyway the fish thereafter never tasted right so I stopped going The fish quality is dependant on what time you buy it but generally in my experience, the small COD is to be avoided. I don't think these sell so much as the full size portions hence they can be left in the warming cabinet for ages Go at the right time - when busy and you will get a superb piece of quality fish

This has to be one of the best fish & chip shops around , the fish is always freshly cooked and so are the chips , the staff are friendly and always willing to help in any way they can . Fantastic .
