Brilliant choice of beers and spirits! Friendly landlord who made us feel very welcome. The homemade pizza was excellent, a lovely village pub with the a beautiful beer garden

I don’t know what’s wrong with that old man, he stared at me whole time though I’m not a star… Anyway the pizza is nice and I like the pork scratching is very nice, haven’t had that at least a year.

Funny that the sheep were proffessional shrinking ones. We ate Chiddi con carne. Yummy yummy. Cystic fibrosis is king dicso of similar diseases. The four skullers which decorated the skullery bought me a nice drink of cherish, a new real ale. Yummy again. Single, hell yes. Take me to the Smithys arms.

Came into this pub as staying nearby with a party of 7 girls. Went to the bar we ordered drinks and a pizza each we were told quite rudely that there was only two of them and that there was a few ordered in front of us. We explained that was fine not to worry ,when the lady brought the pizzas over to the beer garden she was cross and very rude ,we made the mistake of asking for some mayonnaise. The next time I went to bar I asked again for the mayonnaise and then got a mouthful from the lady saying she couldn't bring mayonnaise as pizzas burning ,we didn't ask her to bring just to show us where to get it. I understand she was busy but her attitude was uncalled for and had we have known it was that bad we would have eaten in the crown where the staff were friendly. Shame as the pub was lovely

A proper pubs pub, very inviting and cosy. Nice pizza and can't argue at all with 10 pound each. Nice interior with friendly owners and locals. Very nice 👍

What a great little village pub, you are always made to feel welcome by the staff and locals. The pub serves some really good pizzas but be warned they are very popular and once they are gone that's it for the day.

Quick service, Guinness and Peroni now on draft, lovely outdoor seating area with covered booths and trestle tables with planters and floral borders. They have a pizza oven serving a variety of lovely pizzas. No loud music, no TVs, just good conversation in a lovely rural village

The Blacksmiths Arms is what I would call a proper old school drinking man's pub. It's a popular place to go for locals and visitors alike to enjoy a good beer or two and have a good crack. It has a great Landlord and a friendly atmosphere and although it doesn't provide bar meals it does serve absolutely delicious homemade pizza which are very popular and can be take away if you're in a rush. I really do recommend you call by and try the pizza!

Lovely place that accepted people on holiday. Had a great beer and a really cool vibe to sit there. The pizzas were great (homemade) and you could tell. Initially after a pub grub type meal but this went above and beyond ! The owners were really nice too and the place was dog friendly!

Visted my Brother in the village of Mickleton in Teesdale and discovered this amazing pub.A true local where strangers are warmly greeted by the landlord.The beers are superb and kept well.The homemade pizzas are to die for This is a real pub no glitz no glam just the impirtant things.done with excellence.Thsnk you

We both fell in love with Mickleton and the Blacksmiths Arms. Anthony, Selina and Amy make you feel very welcome and the atmosphere is chilled, warm and friendly. The locals are happy to converse in conversation, and to offer advice about travelling around the area. The beer is spot on, Anthony takes real pride in keeping a good cellar and he is very knowledgeable about the pub industry. The pizzas are top notch, we loved the very hot veggie pizza washed down with some Estrella. The decor is very fresh and smart , the tiolets like the pub are very clean and tidy. The beer garden is stunning, with lots of flowers to give you that chilled vibe. Much love guys! Hopefully see you all again! Andy and Verina Huddersfield.

Sat in the lovely pub garden, filled with beautiful flowers and small shrubs. The seating arrangements are well thought out and extremely comfortable. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. 👌

Just popped in for a swift drink on our way home. We were struck by the warmth of our welcome. The garden is beautiful and so well cared for. We would recommend it and will make it a regular stop off. Well done to everyone.🍷🤗

Went along with our dog and were made very welcome sat inside as weather not great, although the outdoor seating area looked really good with little pods to sit in. Had the vegetarian pizza and meat feast hot n spicy. Both pizzas were very very tasty base nice and crispy at edges. Wine and beer were also good. The owner who served us was very friendly would definitely recommend and even go back and stay at site just to go for pizzas.

I would 100% recommend the Blacksmith’s arms. I messaged in advance to ask whether they would be able to cater for a vegan. They were so accommodating and the pizza was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had!! My boyfriend who is vegetarian had the veggie pizza and said the veggie pizza was also the nicest pizza he’d had. They were also so dog friendly and our lovely Mindy enjoyed chilling in our pod with us. Thank you so much we will be back x

Renovation looks great, really lovely pub with a good sized beer garden. Hand sanitiser on every table too.
