Rude staff, attitude problem, and stuck up people who clearly don’t want business. Me and my husband fancied some fish and chips by the sea front and out of millions of chip shops we decided this one. What a mistake we made! We walked in and waited while the two staff women were talking to one another. They asked us if we were sitting inside or out we said inside. The member of staff asked us to scan the track and trace app and we cooperated as we respect all Covid rules. My husband had a mask on and I didn’t as I am exempt. However I never had my exemption card on me as I find it Discriminating. I have had both my vaccines I find that this is my personal business and I explained this. The lady turned to her co worker and they just whispered between themselves and said no your not coming in. Extremely rude and unexpected behaviour. We stayed in Blackpool for a week and not once were we spoken to like this anywhere else. I would avoid spending your money here. Give it to a business who has manners and moral respect for one another.

After a GREY day walking around Blackpool we popped into the Fish Factory for lunch and after completing the usual Covid checks and bits, grabbed a table and made our orders. All tables were spanking clean and all staff wore their face masks and encouraged all patrons to do the same when not sitting at the table. Our food arrived promptly and steaming hot so we all tucked in. No sachets of sauce here, massive bottles of sauces to use as you will - get in there! Generous portions of both fish, chips, scampi, nuggets and anything else chosen - normal prices so even better. A satisfying and VERY filling lunch - thank you everyone!

This is one of the places I return to each time I visit Blackpool. Aside from fish and chips, they have a good range of options. My teenager loves their generously sized pulled pork BBQ bun. My 7 year old opts for chicken nuggets! The chips are tasty and they have a refillable drinks option. On the downside the hand sanitiser outside was empty which meant people kept touching it and were then unable to clean their hands. It was exceptionally busy that weekend but it still should have been replaced. Mandatory track and trace is in operation. All in all it's a good place to grab lunch which has options for everyone.

Lovely food always come here when we visit Blackpool and never been disappointed! Fish is amazing, even a small portion is huge! Definitely recommend if you visit Blackpool - staff all really nice too

Visited the fish factory today with the grandchildren for a last trip before lock down. Can I just say from the food to the staff to the ambience of a traditional fish and chip shop everything was just perfect. The children’s meals were great and an abundance of chips the fish was so white and tasted as good as it looked and the steak pudding was perfect 10/10 for this Blackpool gem a must when visiting Blackpool.

I visited this chippy 01/11/2020 least to say me nor my family will not be coming here again. I don’t know what I am more appalled at the attitude of the rude staff or the disgusting hygiene standards. The staff give you dirty looks and rolled eyes when you’re wanting to be served no greeting happening at all. Asked for salt and vinegar on chips I will quote “do it yourself it’s there” 1 we are in a PANDEMIC so only the staff should be self handling these not the customers. Very lazy had to bag everything up myself. I didn’t realise staff wasn’t allowed to bag food up but you’re allowed to touch food/trays when serving it. You all need to learn customer service because it’s part of your job. Especially the young girls, sorry girls but it’s part of your Job description hun. If you don’t like it don’t get a job in retail. I understand busy periods as I work in customer service myself but this was very quiet of the night so a smile would not go a miss. And swearing behind the counter isn’t a good sign neither. I am very surprised you haven’t had a visit from the health inspector due the the cleanliness of the cafe. This is the most rankest place I have ever step foot in during these conditions. You think with covid 19 going on you’d be sweeping, wiping down and not letting customers handle stuff and not wiping it down after every use. Last but not least don’t put signs up if you’re not going to follow government guidelines about face masks it’s not hard in fact it’s very simple. Staff BOH and some at FOH. Would NOT recommend the revolting cafe because you will 100% be catching Coronavirus when sitting in doors. Get some cleaning done instead of giving attitude.

Visited on Sunday (25th October) for some food before we got our train home. The lady who seated us, was lovely and friendly but our waitress MC who waited our table was very rude. When she took our orders we had to repeat what we wanted several times and she got very impatient. We’re from Scotland our accents aren’t that hard to understand. I asked her for the ‘pulled pork burger” as it was in the burger section, to which she responded in a cheeky tone “the pulled porn sandwich” I just looked at her and said well yeah. When she brought our drinks to the table, she slammed them down and practically tossed them at us. The lady who brought our food was friendly and helpful. Upon the realisation we had stuff missing from our order. We went to approach our waitreso to tell her, she then rolled her eyes and shock her head as she walked away. We ended up just cancelling our request and just ate what we had to avoid having her serve our table again. Her fake nails were poking through her gloves which is really unhygienic in itself. She had a horrible attitude problem. There’s people suffering to find work during this awful time and then there’s people like her who act like they hate their job. If she doesn’t want to be there give the job to someone who does. Other than our terrible table service the food was absolutely spot on! I had the pulled pork sandwich with chips and it was lovely. Everyone else enjoyed their food too. They adhered to the social distancing rules very very well, especially in such a crowded place. Social distancing was definitely easy to maintain. I think the waitress needs to brush up on her waitressing ettiequte and be less hostile in future. Given the atmosphere, the food and the hygiene were all spot on for the most part just that particular waitress brought things down, would have given it a 4 but that brought it down to a 3.

We visited this place once before and was good, so we called in again food was OK but very busy, fish could have been cooked a little longer but was good value for money

We’ve passed by and never tried this place on many a visit but on Friday evening as we were looking for somewhere to eat and the heavens opened we joined the short queue to sign in and be seated. The restaurant was very busy and it did take a while to have our order taken but the staff were still polite while coping with the demand. The food was cheap but delicious, so much so, we went back the next day for lunch (although still busy, the service was much faster) and will definitely go back on our next visit to Blackpool.

We visit while seeing the Blackpool illuminations. It was around 19:00 and we thought we’d beat the rush of people coming out to see the lights. But we were very wrong. At this fish and chips the social distancing was not forced into action. People where less than 0.5 of a metre next to each other in a queue. No one had face masks on. The most shocking thing is that they do not put salt or vinegar on your food in store. Once they pass your order out through a little window there is a stand around the corner. On this stand you have to use the salt and vinegar if you want any. The same salt and vinegar that 100s on people have used before yourself. This is not just unhygienic In a normal situation but horrific to even consider doing in a high risk area. The fish wasn’t that nice and the chips were very bad. £18 for two large fish and chips which were more like a poor medium. Very overpriced for what they produce. Won’t visit again.

Even during busy times and under the current situation we have never felt let down by the food or the service.Well done all at BFF for doing your very best to keep us all safe whilst still offering a friendly service with excellent Fish & chips.Its often a busy venue but safely distanced and well run.Thank You from local regulars Keep your spirits up and your heads high you are doing a marvellous job.

Came on a busy Sunday evening, food was great but service was slightly lacking. We had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order from when we sat down, and the family next to us had to wait even longer. There seemed to be a lot of wait/kitchen staff but only 1 person taking orders in a busy restaurant - the only thing that let it down. Food arrived quickly and was tasty, other than the long wait everything was fine.

We always come here when visiting Blackpool as the Fish & Chips are great! I always order a small portion as they are very big sizes.The staff are always so friendly and attentive even when it gets very busy!The restaurant can be full of families so if you wanted a quiet lunch this might not be the one for you. They do however do takeaways so great to get and take over to the beach.

First time I've eaten out since the pandemic started. Not only felt safe but the food was great as well. All staff trying hard to keep to the guidelines and still cheerful .

Thought we would get takeout but after seeing how lovely the staff were and how clean everything was we decided to eat in, so glad we did! All staff were friendly and polite and the service was prompt. Didn’t feel like we were being rushed at all. The food was really nice and the chips my partner and I agreed were the best we had had in a long time. Thank you so much for a lovely experience, we will be back!

Quite expensive for the quality, fish was nice and batter light and crispy however chips where Luke warm and hard, service friendly.

On arrival was treated to a screaming match between staff as they tried to seat the group in front of us. Chaos everywhere We were then shown to our seat by a young lad with a mask on (+) which he kept on touching (-). To get to our seat we had to walk past everyone who was already seated with no shield to protect their food. (---)Order was taken promptly, with payment taken at the same time by another server.Food arrived hot but tastless and chewy... No amount of salt, vinegar, mayo or ketchup made it better.Finally food was cleared away as each person finished eating, each time by a different person.Whilst we were eating different groups were led past our table and due to a pram opposite they had to get pretty close. Staff were moving their masks up and down and i didnt see one of them sanatize their hands once.We left as quickly as possible, went home stuck our clothes in the wash and had a shower...

I'm sorry to be writing this review, I had the fish basket which was nearly £10, it was so over cooked that there was barely any meat left inside of the grease soaked food. The chips were stone cold and must have been less that 15 in the bowl bowl, not even my 1 year old would eat the chips.

The chippy was ok could of been cleaner outside seating area and they don’t do kebab which was very disappointing

We called in here for some fish and chips on Friday evening. It was busy and it looked like they had a good set up for COVID-19. However once inside and watching what was going on it was a different story. We had our hands sanitised, were shown to our table and given a piece of paper to use for track and trace. That’s where it ended really. Only 2 staff (that we’re serving the tables) wore the masks correctly, most had them under the nose, one under the chin. There was a one way system for the customers to follow but the staff didn’t have to follow it apparently. The procedures for cleaning tables weren’t followed fully either - one lad was even sweeping seats rather than wiping them and didn’t bother me with the table, there was still bits of food left on it. The food was ok, probably better than I expected and the staff member that served us was friendly. I work in the service industry so know how hard it can be but I just think with the current circumstances a bit more needs to be done here.

Well this is a place we visit for lunch everytime we go to Blackpool and never disapoints the fish and peas are to die for i always have large lightly battered fish and mushy peas and they always deliver super food my partner also has the same and the grandkids have the chicken nuggets and chips in a basket great disabled facilities had a change last week went somewhere well known further down the prom we sure made a big mistake we love you fish factory xxxx

Literally took an hour to get our food, a plate of fish and chips, when we asked they said sorry they were super busy but there was Only around ten other people in the restaurant.

Seemed a bit manic with their queuing system to get in. People mixed up with takeway and wanting the sit down service. Staff seemed rushed of their feet so didn't seem very attentive. Food was nice, but the atmosphere was that of a primary school dining room.

I would recommend this place its great food and friendly staff and it's a good service and they always welcome you in and we come back every year to this place we love it. we know all the staff here to stay safe and take care keep up with your business you all doing great job

Although service was very friendly the quality of the fish and chips was disappointing. Fish tasteless and chips were bland and not hot...even loads of salt and vinegar could not save it. Would not go back.

Popped into this gem of a find on the golden mile...greeted by lovely smiling eyes( they were all wearing masks so couldnt the full smile but knew it was there!) Great customer rapport..nothing was too much...will definately revisit...you could taste that everything was fresh...well done everyone..stay safe see you soon

The scampi was amazing. Big group of us stopped for food. All orders fresh and quickly delivered. Definitely worth the ratings. Toilets clean. Staff were lovely. Especially when my son decided to be a cheeky bleep. They had a laugh and banter with us.

On our way to meet friends on Central pier for a few beers, we thought we'd better have some dinner so not drinking on empty stomachs. This place came into view and decided to give it a try. At first it looked like it could have done with a bit of a clean but then when you saw the turnover of people it would have been impossible. Ordered fish and chips for my wife and daughter and I had pudding chips and peas. The food was excellent, unlimited refills on hot and cold drinks which was brill. All in all it turned out to be a nice little place so just goes to show "Don't judge a book by it's cover"

A great lunch of fish chips peas and gravy. I would definitely return. Good efficient service with ordering etc.

When we arrived (about 830pm) they had no cod left, so decided on scampi instead, portion size was very small for price considering cheaper places literally next door

Quick family snack turned into a nice lunch alittle above average chippy prices but oil was fresh so chips was good batter was light and crispy bread and butter was over priced and bread felt stale but was moistened down with a beer which was a twist in a chippy but probably common in Blackpool lol over all nice food must visit

This honestly has to be the best chippy in blackpool!! Nice and clean, staff really friendly, great value for money and the food was brilliant. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing fish and chips! The batter was light and crispy and not greasy at all. I would definitely return and recommend visiting whilst in Blackpool. Even better to get take away and eat on the beach :-)

The staff couldn’t be more helpful, always smiling. The place is kept spotless and the tables cleared, cleaned and swept before the next customer has a chance to sit down. As for the fish and chips, fantastic!! Do visit, you wii ok n’r be disappointed!

My wife and I went in for fish and chips, the restaurant was clean and tidy, the food was very good, hot and fresh .

Paid close to £25 for 2 fish and chips and a kids sausage and chips meal. Food came quite quick but wasn't very nice. Mrs enjoyed the chips but I didn't. The fish tasted like dirty water or something, not nice and probably the worst fish I've had in Blackpool! Also, when my food came I had to wait around 10 minutes for a fork as there was none and I was told "there being washed" - Not a good experience and will not be going back!

Poped into here 12th October, for fish and chips. Fast service, and very filling, was told free refils on hot and cold drinks, which was a great bonus. Service to fast, Tables where clean, Staff very helpful. Look forward to going again.

Me and the wife thought we would have a day out so we to Blackpool to see the lights but the lights was terrible not like they used to be but the best part of the day was when we went to the fish factory for there lovely fish and chips this is the second time we can't wait to go back but not for the lights

My girlfriend and I came up to blackpool for a few days just to get away and see the sea even though the weather was rubbish. We then discovered this fish factory and of course we had fish and chip and everything was freshly cooked as the fish and batter was full of flavour and was perfectly cooked and would definitely be returning!

The menu is a bit limited when it comes to fish but it was the best fish and chips I have had in Blackpool. Fantastic fish at resonable prices for a chippy on the front.

We went here the other week and ordered food waitress came with arms full of food as she was putting it on the table she spilt gravy all over me and the floor she was very sorry but other members of staff we’re taking arms of food they should have trolleys to put it on so much safer while there a lady slipped on spill on floor staff didn’t rush to help. There is no happy staff here atmosphere is aweful managers need to put more into this place and build team spirit.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food good quality and hot. All areas clean and staff on hand to make sure tables clean when people left.

Busy chippy and I can see why. Great portion size and good was excellent. Good quality fish , better was crisp and chips were perfect. Nothing more to say.

We had lunch here choosing traditional fish & chips, very generous portions & nicely battered. Very good service by helpful & friendly staff. A good sign for a fish & chip shop is if its cooked fresh, this was & that it was busy also indicate the quality was high. Worth stopping here.

Visited yesterday with family, they was 4 of us. I'm heavily pregnant and was struggling sitting where the lady had asked us to when going in and the booths with the comfier seats were for 5 or more people she requested we sit to a table with 4 chairs. Chairs were very small and hard. No support at all. We politley asked if we could move to the different seating areas as I was struggling. The lady replied, 'no they are for 5 or more people' I said 'I'm sorry but I'm pregnant and I really can't sit on these chairs they are very uncomfortable' to which the lady replied 'ill ask the manager but I doubt it cos we will get a rush on now' calls over to another lady then looks back and just says 'no' I said 'OK we will have to go elsewhere as I can't sit here' so off we went.

When at the seaside who doesn't enjoy a good english chippy and this one didn't disappoint at all. Great menu choice, friendly staff, good size portions and most of good value for money! We found you could sit down and enjoy a meal here for the same cost as some of the prom take away only counters.

The food was really nice and the staff were really friendly and quick service so didn't wait to long.

Am back again my favourite chippy. Always excellent friendly helpful staff. Fish and chips are just amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Since finding it at easter. Would highly recommend. Thankyou

We went here for dinner on our second day when ordering staff were friendly and even told us what would be cheaper or more helpful such as refillable drinks. We stayed in for our food and when ordered it quickly came to our table we all had a refillable drink and there were plenty of choice (fizzy). Food was great all finished what they ordered and loved it some of us even went back for dinner the next day and this was quite a walk from south pier so must have been worth it. Place looked and felt clean and by normal dinner (we had gone a little early) it was packed.

Was ok I guess tho very expensive for what we got. Will be going elsewhere next time. Some staff very rude

The food was tasty and nicely presented, the chip barm + spicy chicken burger with lettuce and mayo-WOW!! abso more-ish. Highly Recommended folks!!

We had just arrived in Blackpool, checked into our hotel and decided to go for a walk along the Promenade. Kids were hungry and we came across this place and ordered an early tea. The batter for the fish was really light and tasty. A nice size portion too. The chips were proper potato ones and really nicely done.

Good value for money me and my family have been coming here many years every time we visit Blackpool we always have our tea here

Lovely place, great tasting food, clean inside, brilliant staff :) food is a little pricey & only got 3 nuggets with a kids meal hence why the four stars. But would recommend :)

Fish factory was the only proper descent chippy open at that time in the morning. As well as Breakfasts it was also serving Chips and Fish. Who goes to the seaside for a breakfast...you go to the seaside to eat Traditional fish and chips. Blackpool Fish Factory is a great New Chippy that has recently opened and it had all our requirements we needed, spaceous seating area for the Family & Kids. I would recommend this Chippy and we will definitely be using it again

the fish was greasy and had no flavour, the chicken nuggets and the sausage also the same not really good value for money for the prices they charge

Quick service but not very nice food, the batter was very enemic looking and mushy x6 adult portions bought and noone finished them. I had the burger which wasn't nice either. Wouldn't go back 9r recommend.

Cheap food, but lovely food. Unlimited cold or hot drink for a whopping £2... that's something Will visit again when up Blackpool

If looking for something fancy to eat then def go elsewhere, if looking for wholesome filling hot tasty food then this is the place for you.

Delicious food, great value for money, Laura was very friendly and welcoming, we ate there 4/7 days, generous portion sizes. TOP NOTCH! We will be back next time we are here!

How can a fish and chip shop have no savaloys ? The only thing I like from a fish and chip shop, this was the only thing that let it down. Which is a big thing for me

Visited with friends and thought the place looked busy which is usually a good sign. We found a table and looked at the menu. A good thing is they have refills on soft drinks.

This is the 2nd time we have visited as a group of 7. The place is clean, staff are friendly and food is lovely will definitely be visiting again when we come back for a visit

Great place to eat. Clean & plenty of seating. Lots of staff. Quick table service. No extra cost to eat in. Value for money & delicious food.

The only complaint was miserable lady serving other staff was great. Would visit again if grey haired lady isn't serving inside or if she decides to make it feel like your welcome.

Dined here late afternoon. The fish was possibly the best tasted from a chip shop batter was crispy and the fish extremely fresh cooked to perfection.

Me and my fiancée thoroughly enjoyed fish factory which was recommended to us by the owners of the Hayward and Newbury hotel! Absolutely fantastic food and the food was always boiling hot.

Myself and my partner both had the regular fish and chips, £14 for both and the portions were very big so good Value for money. The chips were gorgeous, proper chippy chips and the fish was beautiful too although it was very greasy, the oil oozed out when you cut it and if you lifted it your hands were glistening, apart from that it was a beautiful meal

My favourite chippy in Blackpool. I've tried a lot of them and this is my favourite so I keep returning to it now. Decent price, very clean, staff are all friendly and helpful, good food, decent portions free tea and coffee refills.

Had a few different things but my fav was the steak sandwich nice chunks of cooked onion and mushrooms all nice and hot and very tasty just what was needed after a stroll along the promenade

We visited here in February with my wife and daughter as fancied fish and chips for tea. Lovely fish massive portions chips was fab as was the peas our daughter had sausage and chips. Place is reasonably priced plenty of seats situated right on the front near all the attractions. Nice friendly staff would recommend and eat here again.

While walking town the promenade of Blackpool me & friends felt Hungary so choose the Blackpool fish factory to eat . The food was very tasty & value for money . The medium fish & chips was large enough for two . I will definitely come here again to eat !!

Food was cooked fresh within minutes, staff were top notch for customer service. Place was clean and not too steep on price. A lovely dinner with my girlfriend well served

Only wanted a lunch snack so it was chips some with cheese some with peas. Drinks from the unlimited refill, good value.

I’ve had fish and chips before a hundred times but this was the best ever! It’s also excellent value for money. The service we received from the girls was outstanding and the manager or supervisor was willing to go above and beyond to help me with my missing receipt. I would recommend this plaice to anyone going to the promenade. And yes that typo was on purpose!!

When we first arrived we were told our black Labrador was allowed in the restaurant, so all of our family agreed to dine here. After placing our orders and the food arriving we were told " no dogs allowed, sorry the staff didn't understand as English very limited" why did they say yes then?! So I chose to sit outside with my father and dog whilst the rest of the family ate inside. Food actually very delicious. Food very fresh, fish especially. Outside area strong smell of urine, put me right off my dinner!!

Really enjoyed the fish with an amazing curry sauce. So fruity and full of flavour. My boys don’t usually like curry however they both dipped their chips, many times.

Chose to eat here after passing a few other Chippies on the seafront. It was getting on so a few were packing up. This one had a takeaway and restaurant. We chose to eat in the restaurant. You place your order at the counter and they bring it over to your table. The restaurant is quite spacious with different seating available. Cutlery is self service, which isnt made clear until after you have your food brought. Condiments are on the table ready. We ordered a large fish and chips; they brought 2 small fish on each plate. This could have been down to it being near closing, or it could be how they do it (??). Tasted good, 7/10.

The food is well cooked, you can tell the fish is fresh. But, for the money, i'd want a few more chips on the plate or a slightly bigger fish. Unless I accidentally ordered the kid's option...

This is a first stop, when we get to Blackpool. Brilliant fish and chips. Only thing is the mushy peas can be a bit over mushed. Yet over all 5 stars. The other food on the menu is high class

What a great welcoming clean place to eat you couldn't get any more fresh food and what you do here we was going for a good night out n wanted somthing to eat so we stopped of here I ordered the large fish n chips and OMG it was so big wish I ordered the small that would of done me lol and refills drinks even better as I said the place is so clean the staff are very friendly and welcoming full of laughter service with a smile keep up the good work guys..
