Service was top! Alle personeel was super vriendelijk en begaan. Ze maakten de beleving erg persoonlijk, je voelt je daar niet de zoveelste toerist maar een welgekomen en gewaardeerde klant. De kwaliteit van het eten was zeer goed! Je krijgt advies en uitleg en men checkt of het oké was. Van het vlees, tot de de bijgerechten, de cheesecake en de wijn … alles was super lekker! Een echte aanrader .

Wir waren von einem Geschäftsfreund eingeladen, dieses Steakhouse zu besuchen. Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung schenkt uns zunächst erst einmal Wasser ein, was ich als sehr angenehm empfinde. Die Auswahl an Wein, die Auswahl an verschiedenen Fleisch Richter, ob Schwein oder Rind oder auch andere Sachen ist einfach amazing. Ich hatte einen Sirloin vom Rind, welches unbeschreiblich zart und geschmackvoll war. Dazu in Rinder,fett gebackene Chips und etwas Gemüse der gesamte Eindruck von diesem Restaurant lässt mir nur einen Schluss zu: ich muss wiederkommen!

Our first Sunday Roast experience. All the food is to die for. The meat is tender. Carrots best I have ever tasted. Love what we call popovers. The gravy was delicious, I could drink it. We got side orders of the cauliflower and it was very good. We loved it all. The servers were happy, personable, and attentive. I always take choosing where to eat out seriously and as such always heavily scruntinise reviews of nearby restaurants. So when you are in the centre of London, it can seem borderline overwhelming to pick a place that meets your desires and expectations. I'm sure that even the snobbiest steak enthusiast would be satisfied with Blacklock City, cooked to perfection steaks, mouth - watering sides, professionally friendly staff, all in a chic subterranean location - a fantastic place to catch up with an old friend on a friday night (exactly what I did) I chose the standard Sirloin - rare with Bearnaise sauce, Beef dripping chips and Barbecued baby gems & anchovy dripping I asked for rare and it came rare, nothing to fault there, the meat itself was very tasty indeed, tender, smooth, nor too mild nor too rich, almost a creamy sort of taste which might sound puzzling but that's how it came across to me. The only real criticism I could hand to this meal would be that the bearnaise sauce was a bit too sweet but the fact that this is my only real criticism is a testament to the overall quality of the restaurant The beef dripping chips were standout, more or less faultless, that slight hint of beef, the crisp outer layer, the fluffy great quality potato underneath, easily a solid 9/10. High praise indeed. The baby gem with anchovy excelled also, the slightly charred baby gem providing that crunch and bitterness with the bath of anchovy dripping enveloping the baby gem, salty and rich, both complementing each other wonderfully. Would I come here again? Yes, happily. The one thing I would recommend to do is when coming with other people, order with sharing in mind, not just ordering for yourself, this establishment is better enjoyed and better value in that way.

We celebrated my nephew’s 18th birthday here recently, and we couldn’t have chosen better. The food was amazing, plentiful and cooked to perfection; staff very welcoming and attentive; atmosphere lively and vibrant. The birthday boy got a rhubarb crumble with a candle, happy birthday from the whole team finished off with party poppers! Huge shout out to Ollie, Jim, Mitchel, Ana, Andrea, Sandra, James and the rest of the team for such an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

Great steak and amazing service. We came here twice, as the first time was sooo good. The meat was delicious, the dessert was simply yami. The place was packed around 8:30pm and was a bit noisy, but our 7y old didn't mind as he was eating his steak in happiness. By 9pm or so it became a bit quieter. Its a busy & buzzing steakhouse, so it is expected to have many people talking, so mentioning this just in case you are looking for a quite place. The service was great... our waiter for both days was James and he was super nice and a pleasure to have. Attentive and friendly. Great service by him and others. The hostess was also very sweet and welcoming. If you like meat, this is the place for you!

We had wonderful Saturday night at Blacklock City. The food was lovely starting from Pre-chop bites and finishing Porterhouse cooked to perfection. We saw videos on Facebook about this place and just had to go 😁. My heart sunk a bit when we were asked if we had a reservation 😔 obviously we didn't. We were absolutely ecstatic when they said they could fit us in ☺️. All of the staff were super friendly and offered a lot of helpful advice on drinks and menu choices, we opted for the Blacklock lager and the All In sharer meal 🤤 the pre chop bites worried me slightly when the waiter explained exactly what they were as I'm not that adventurous 😂, they were absolutely delicious. Shortly after another waitress brought the pigs head starter over to us, we were shocked as we hadn't ordered it but she said that because it was our first time she wanted to let us try their most popular starter and OH MY GOD it was devine. The main course was awesome delicious meat piled high with bread at the bottom soaking up all those delicious meat juices, the beef dripping chips were so crispy and morish, and the slaw and broccoli and walnut salad were the perfect accompaniment, but the thing that bought it all together for me was their chop sauce 🤤🤤🤤 I could have drank that on it's own 😍 there was so much depth of flavour and my only issue was that I had to share it with my husband 😂. The staff here are like a family and everyone was lovely. We were even given a bowl of their beautiful white chocolate cheesecake to finish. We have never been to a restaurant that makes you feel so welcome and with such impeccable customer service. We are already planning our next trip to London and we will definitely be booking in to at least try their lovely looking Sunday roast platter. This place is awesome!!! Thank you xx

This is a great venue, food is great, staff are great. The all in is forever a great deal. Shame about getting mugged on a red you feel obliged to drink. Not great. Sour taste. A beer and tap water please.

Mitchel is fantastic but so are all the rest of the staff! This was the first reservation I booked coming to London. Their reviews were stellar and they did not disappoint! Busy Saturday night, we got there 20 minutes early for our reservation and they were eager to accommodate. The restaurant was packed! It’s where the locals go and we are so happy we spent our first dinner with them!

Disappointing not up to usual standard. I told my girlfriend after previously having a nice meal with son. But the pork meat was dry and the waiter didn’t even ask us if we enjoyed. We did tell him a the end and they threw in a random cheesecake. Not sure it’s exciting enough to come back especially if the meats are not cooked to a great standard

Nice place friendly staff not sure the restaurant it’s as good as all the hype. I have been to quite a few chop houses, I can honestly say I was a little underwhelmed, don’t get me wrong the staff were lovely but the food was good just not great like some of the reviews would lead you to believe. I had fillet and a side of chips and “slaw” the steak was nice but I have had better. Price was was ok, not too expensive but expected a little better if I’m honest. The food came out on plates that looked like they had been donated by a load of OAPs, it was a bit random considering look of the place. One thing to avoid would be the slaw it looks like they put a carrot and cabbage in the vinegar bottle it was disgusting. Good but not great I think would describe my experience.

Absolutely perfect meal - in fact I think the best meal I’ve ever had. And aside from the incredible food, Mitchell and his wonderful service made this really special. Give this man a raise! Will definitely come back and could not recommend this any higher. All praise to Mitchell and the chefs for making this a truly fantastic evening!

Best service and ambience you’ll find in London! Celebrated our 5th year anniversary here and the staff were so attentive, friendly and lovely 😊 Erold was very professional and gave us great recommendations on the food. The food was incredible, we had a lovely lamb starter followed by 800g sirloin steak, finished off with the bread and butter pudding. Emma was so sweet and gave us a takeaway white chocolate cheesecake as it’s our anniversary 😍 you can tell that the staff loved working there as they truly cared about the guests!! Definitely recommend, 5 ⭐️

dined on a Monday evening (found on Open table) and told it was butchers price evening with large chops/cuts at special prices. Unfortunately they sounded too big a portion even if sharing - no doubt excellent value given how busy the place was. It was hard to hold a conversation as it was so noisy/humming (in a good way) Chose an individual ribeye steak , accompanied by sweet potato (roast) and winter slaw - a hearty meal. sadly the steak was over salted which rather spoilt the meat but the blacklock gravy (rich jus) and sides helped . Disappointing that nobody checked whether food/service were ok or not and plates were cleared away quickly. Emphasis appeared to be on turning the tables quickly to get more diners in and assumptions that clients knew what was what. After some time the waitress who'd shown us to the table came and asked whether we wanted dessert so we explained our disappointment at the over salted steak. She said salt is added to flavour but we found it overpowering. She apologised and offered dessert or coffee which were good. If returned, would request far less seasoning.

Our original booking was cancelled due to flooding, blacklock allowed us to re book and dine for free. Absolutely incredible service, they went above and beyond to make up for the original booking being cancelled. The food was phenomenal and we can’t wait to go back and eat there again!

I don't know if it was a bad night but we waited an hour for our food and when it came the meat was all completely overcooked. It was really disappointing, especially as its a meat specialist - won't be back. The only highlight was our server Artur, who was lovely!

We had a superb Sunday Lunch at Blacklocks City. We chose the "All In" which was a sharing platter for 2 of beef, lamb and pork with the usual yorkies and veg. All were delicious and the waiter provided top ups of extra meat and fabulous gravy. Don't mistake this for one of those budget all you can eat places, as the quality is very good, it's just the ethos is to provide excellent meats etc at reasonable prices. We shared a dessert of wonderfully light bread and butter pudding. Our waiter George (also the Manager) was ever so friendly and helpful. Also, because of an ear infection I was a bit deaf on the day and initially struggled to hear but they were very accommodating and found us a quieter table. We felt really well looked after.

This was our 2nd visit here and it doesn't disappoint. The atmosphere is buzzing and although the restaurant is extremely busy, we never felt rushed. We shared a porterhouse steak which was cooked to perfection, together with the chips and a side of carrots. The carrots were the best I have tasted in ages. The cheesecake dessert was amazing and they don't scrimp on portions either. I would definitely return here rather than a nearby better known steakhouse where you get moved to the bar area as soon as you finish eating. I would highly recommend this restaurant, but ensure you book.

What an amazing experience me and my friends had in blacklock last night. First let's talk about the reason we came , FOOD ! Definitely recommend the pigs head on toast and the mushrooms starters. We had the all in wich is a mix of meat (such a great value , ) and a prime rib, Delicious! We thought we couldn't handle more food but when we saw the white chocolate cheesecake been served at the table next to us we decided to share some, So , so good ! Last but not least, the Team ! Everyone is so enthusiastic ,nice ,and knowledgeable that we all said we could come back actually just for the atmosphere. Big thanks to everyone and see you for the Sunday roast .

Fabulous meal. Ribeye steak and sauce was beautiful. We only had 2 sides and one sauce - this was enough for the two of us. Couldn’t squeeze in pudding which was a shame as they sounded fabulous. The server was very friendly and attentive and made our meal even more enjoyable.

Good food and good service with plenty of staff on duty for a late lunch on a Monday. The only negative was mayo added to the burgers (not listed in the menu) but they replaced them quickly (sans mayo) without quibble.

The steaks are great to share with mates!! This was my second time back here and again I can only find sheer praise for this fine establishment! The food is A1! Steak cooked to perfection. Loved my gem lettuce side dish and my chips. The sweet potato is absolutely fantastic. My friend had the lamb chops and love it! Decided to have a night in town yesterday (Thursday) and booked this venue on line for four of us at 7pm. The weather was bad and two of our party were running about 30 minutes late and as I was I. Simmons Bar just around the corner I went over and pushed the booking back 30 mins. I spoke with Alex who could not have made the adjustment any easier for me. I the returned to Simmons and awaited the rest of our group. We got back into the restaurant at 8.30pm and were shown to a lovely booth table and Andrea introduced herself as our server and answered Al the questions we had as it was our first visit. She also directed us to some excellent food choices and the mains arrived and were both plentiful is extremely tasteful. The portion sizes are ample and the food itself was excellent! The end of the night came all to quickly and we were given a free shot from Jarek before we made off into the night. This place is one of a group and was incredibly busy so I would highly recommend booking up early. A fabulous find for us and we will definitely be back Guys! Thank you
