Welcoming friendly staff; we only needed a small snack but everything was great; pork pie, tea cake, cakes, good coffee too;

Cafe is in the Black Mountain Centre, which also houses a shop, post office, doctor’s surgery, library, secondhand book and jigsaw area,etc. Only a few parking spaces immediately outside, but there is a free car park across the road. The food is home cooked, plain fare, but great value. beans on toast cost me £2.95 when I stopped in for a snack yesterday. Everyone is very friendly, and it’s a perfect place to go if you are learning Welsh - nearly everyone, customers and staff, speaks Welsh! The atmosphere is always relaxed, making it an ideal spot to call before setting off on a walk around this corner of the Brecon Beacons.

This is a great facility for who live both Inthe community and from surrounding areas. The cafe serves delicious home cooked meals, all freshly made. Snacks and sandwiches or just a tea or coffee are all available to purchase. My experience of the food on offer is one of high standard, tasty, fresh and we'll presented. Well worth a visit.

The cafe is situated within `The Black Mountain Center` and offers basic `cafe food` at a reasonable price. Take the opportunity to study the photographs and information regarding the history of the Black Mountain and Brynamman while you are there. Unfortunately the blue badge parking is heavily abused so if you are disabled you will probably have to park over the road.

This is a good place for cyclists to stop and take on board some nutrition before going over the Blacks. Food is cheap and cheerful, the coffee's OK (but don't expect any fancy stuff!) and the atmosphere pleasant, with local artwork adorning the walls.

We visited the Black Mountain Café and whilst perhaps not somewhere to go on a date it serves it's purpose really well, we had a great cup of tea and a piece of cake

After a long walk on the Black Mountains, my husband and I decided to call here for a longed for cup of coffee and a bite to eat. The Cafe was spacious and very clean and the 5star rating was a bonus.We were served by a very friendly member of staff, I had Leek and Potato soup and hubby had a large breakfast which came with tea or coffee. We then had a slice of tasty homemade fruit cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definately recommend other people to come here. We were also impressed with what the Centre had to offer, from Doctors Surgery, Library and a well informed Heritage Centre. It's a busy cafe with a lot of returning customers and a good varied menu. So to sum up this cafe and the centre itself, it is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. There is ample parking across the road from the Centre.

Stopped off at this oasis on our way to Tenby. My wife and I both ordered bacon sandwiches and coffee lattes. Beautiful “home baked “ bread (probably from a bakery but looked and tasted home baked) a generous helping of thick cut bacon and a delightful cup of coffee. Staff were busy but friendly and attentive.

After getting fish & chips opposite the lady advised us to go & have a drink... £2.50 a pint she said. So we went and yes it was £3.90 for a pint & a half! What amazingly great value together with a warm welcome from the barmaid. Sat outside with a glimpse of the sea. Highly recommend.

Not suitable for gluten free options despite menu description. We stayed locally and this restaurant had good reviews and described having gluten-free options available which was cinic red when we phoned to book a a table. The reality however was very different. Unless I wanted a vegan red Thai curry there were no options for me on the menu. The items described as gluten free in the menu weren't available and we were told the menu was out of date. Very disappointing and not suitable for anyone wanting gluten free options.
