Terrible. Very long wait for food. Felt ill after the chips that tasted of old and dirty frying oil! Very, very expensive for what we had. The tea was good and service pleasant on the whole. Would avoid!

Not cheap, but still worth visiting for the welcome and quality. Lovely people here, happy to chat, and offering a good range of snacks and drinks. Prompt service with a smile and our cakes were delicious. Don't visit if you're on a tight budget, but in my view, still worthwhile.

£4.80 for a take-a-way Hot Chocolate! I'm talking a regular sized no frills Hot Chocolate that should have been more like half this price. I glanced at the menu as we were actually hungry, £11 for jacket potatos.. I don't recall ever seeing a more expensive jacket potato in my life. We used to visit this cafe all the time pre-covid but ever since it seems to have and still is getting more and more expensive, we have since stopped visiting for food and after todays £4.80 hot chocolate will no longer pop in for a drink either. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but upon checking the rest of the reviews I can see everyone is saying this same thing as I am.

We bought 4 cakes, 3 glasses of tap water (30p each!!) and a tea for nearly £30 and that was after removing the ice cream / cream accompaniments to the cakes that would have been £2 each (£8 total) for a small dollop on the side. Can’t remember ever being charged for tap water yet alone 30p for about 150ml. Not sure what market this cafe is aiming for. It’s not exactly in prime tourist location. The park looks lovely but we won’t be paying to enter after our cafe experience.

Along with most recent reviews we found this place to be in a lovely setting and with a nice looking selection of food. But, the prices are through the roof. It feels like one of those places that thinks if they serve a scone on a roof slate they can charge extra. Added to that, when our drinks came the waitress was carrying the three glasses by putting her fingers inside the glasses. Basic food hygiene training would tell her that that is not OK. Such a pity.

We visited a year ago and had a lovely lunch. We visited again recently but found it very disappointing. We had a tuna sandwich, a pasty and two drinks which came to £24. The pasty had not been heated through properly and the tuna sandwich came with a few crisps and a mediocre salad. It is a shame in such a lovely setting that it was expensive but not very good.

This use to be a good cafe. But it has significantly slipped. The food and drink is very expensive, and the service is sloppy. I ordered a pasty, which arrived luke-warm on top and still chilled on the bottom. It went back for a second attempt, and came. Ack tolerably hot. We won’t be coming back.

Sad to be writing such a negative review for a local cafe but something needs to change. Positives- lovely location and ample seating, warm and friendly staff. The cakes looked good. Negatives - they forgot one persons food completely and got another’s wrong. The prices are astronomical, food is not homemade, condiments available are cheap and nasty including watered down vinegar. There was also no toilet paper in the toilets Unsure if this is a recent change as previously had good food here in the past. Hopefully they’ll improve as time goes on.

We’ve visited the cafe on several occasions previously and were very satisfied with the food and service. However - this time I couldn’t believe the difference. Despite initially being the only ones in there the service was appalling. We ordered soup and sandwiches and had to wait for 40 minutes. When it came the soup was poor , slopped out of the dish all over the tray and was accompanied by a slice of mass produced bread. No napkin - kitchen roll instead and a small dessert spoon to eat it with ! Being even hungrier than when we arrived we ate it. Afterwards we thought we’d give them a chance of redemption by ordering cake. This time the till was broken so cash only. Again we had to wait ages. This despite there being four members of staff ! To top it all the prices were ridiculous too. We will most definitely not be returning. This downturn is such a shame as it used to be so good. Don’t waste your money.

Ok I don’t usual write bad reviews because I know what it’s like to run a business but this place is a disaster, such a shame, it has gradually gone down hill the last few years, it’s such a beautiful place and it has huge potential IF run by the right people. First of all the prices! How can a small slice of cake be £4.95! I don’t care if it was served by the queen, that is a ridiculous price! And the single bars of chocolate are all from a multi pack which clearly says not to be sold separately and they are charged at £1 each!! Second the wait, I know they only have a tiny kitchen and it can get busy there but we ordered 2 hot drinks and 1 slice of cake and it took 30 minutes to arrive, there were maybe 4 other couples there at the same time so I really don’t understand how it could take so long!? Thirdly the staff, oh my goodness, the most miserable, disrespectful, couldn’t care less staff I have ever encountered, the older lady seemed nice but the girl on the till was terrible, not one smile, thank you or anything, and the girl with ginger hair was appalling, not to us but to another customer, this lady came in and politely asked how much longer would their order be, the waitress with ginger hair came in behind her gave the customer the middle finger behind her back and mouthed F - OFF to her, absolutely disgusting, how this place is still open I don’t know, but I can’t imagine it being open for much longer, such a shame, huge potential and unfortunately that’s the last time we will go there. Next time we go for a walk around the park we will being our own pack lunch or call in somewhere else on the way home. Such a shame as Gwynedd needs more places like this.

We visited the park and so for convenience thought we would have lunch at the cafe. How things have changed! Two years ago we ate lunch here and it was good quality food at decent prices. I ordered two soft drinks, soup and a children’s meal deal. It was £15! The soup was ok but was served with medium sliced bread which was nothing special. I paid over £6 for the pleasure of this soup, I at least expected to have thick crusty bread! My daughter had a ‘sweet treat’ included in her meal, it was a bun from Aldi. Yes I recognised the buns, such a cheek! How hard is it to bake a few buns? It’s what you would expect in a cafe in this location.

We used it as a cycling pit stop so tea & coffee with what was delicious home made tomato soup with generous portions of bread. Friendly staff too.

I had written a positive review previously, as the cafe made a delicious selection of vegan cakes on my previous visit.

I visited here with my late mum last year and after struggling to get in. Was shocked at the prices. I did complain to Glynllifon but they told me it had nothing to do with the park itself. A couple of cakes two teas a slice of toast and a coffee. Shouldn't have left me skint. Prices are ridiculous! Just waiting for a rude reply from the management now. Very unprofessional. Oh and the flies were awful too.

Make sure you get the price up front as its a complete rip off. Asked for two sausage rolls. While stood with two kids. HALF AN HOUR WAIT LATER. we got two sausage rolls with salad. At the till charged two adult sausage rolls at £7.95 each! Apparently i hadnt said childrens though stood with children. Neither was i asked. Avoid at all costs.

We booked at the last minute for a nights stay, the room was ok except no soap in the bathroom. The bar and restaurant was closed so we cannot comment. It served its purpose we just needed a bed for the night.

Decent pub but what made it for us was Lewis behind the bar. Played an excellent mix of music and was very engaging with customers including us. Lewis also played a few requests and was very knowledgable music wise - it was great chatting to him about music in general and he was spot on with his recommendation of Imelda May’s cover of the Northern Soul classic Tainted Love (which a certain band from Leeds may have covered early 80s too). Regular live music nights are very busy so while generally dog friendly, probably best to avoid taking the dog on live music nights. Thanks Lewis - your happiness was infectious and you made sure our last night in Aberdyfi spent at The Brit was top!

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. A special thank you to Connor who was fantastic and provided a great service. Recommend the chicken tikka masala and the cheeseburger loaded fries 😍

First and last time that I use this place. Over inflated price for two bottles of pop. Can only assume that the extra £1.60 charged , was for the sponsored silence that every customer before and after us was greeted with by the member of staff serving.
