This used to be a great chip shop but the quality has steadily decreased over the last couple of years. Today was the worst I have had. The chips were dry, hard and appeared to be undercooked. I don’t think I will be using them again.

Asked for small kebab with salad got large nan looked like no salad when I phoned to say they forgot salad he said its underneath meat I looked and a piece of lettuce was there hardly a salad really poor compared to before used to get fresh salad that was noticeable not just a piece of lettuce

Chips was really chewy and didn’t get what was asked to be put on them

I love BJs but today was just rubbish! Ordered a large kebab and its tiny! 3x mayo, a tiny drop. Asked for lettuce, none! All the meat and toppings inside the tiny pitta not spilling out like it should. Very disappointed and won't order again as not value for the price!

Not impressed at all. Large kebab was small,hardly any filling and not very warm let alone hot. Extremely disappointed

I been told off by not placing an order correctly. But you were delivering to a job, what makes it more obvious. It is a site! Have some common sense and please leave the food at the reception. Even if I set the correct time or wait or whatever else you think, it is food your delivering. Drop it off with reception/ security. If the costumer doesn't collect, you at least have delivered it.

I LIVE BJS PLAICE!!! It is one of the finest establishments I have ever attended. The cuisine was delectable, I would especially recommend the ‘Large Battered Sausage’ it is one of the greatest foods I have ever consumed. Make sure to try it out if near by!!

Worst pizza in Peterborough by far. Never order from here for pizza.

Placed order at 14.45pm and didn't arrive until 16.10pm. This is the first time I have ordered from BJ Plaice ...I won't be ordering again I'm sorry to say.....not happy

One side order missing (refunded) but everything else was good. Great value for money compared some other palaces, generous portion sizes.

Terrible fish n chips, fish was warm and greasy and chips were Luke warm, £21 down the drain.. Previous meals have been great but this time around the meals were terrible.. I don't think I can trust ordering again as it hurts throwing money away on cr*p

1st time I've been dissapointed. Ordered donner and chips with salad and was next to nothing of it and what was there look old.

Pepperoni pizza is tasty, but very little pepperoni, probably three slices cut into the whole pizza, very few mushrooms, a lot of cheese. Fast delivery is a plus.

Food was spot on, I was told to try you out via a family member, your chips are spot on, whatever you use as a coating it’s really good.

my order was missing the chips and when we called up the restaurant we were told that the kitchen was closed, it was really pointless in even sending the other food to not have a complete meal, really disappointing as we don't normally have any issues and we really rate the food and service.

Always late, arrived near 9pm. And when I called they lied and said they were waiting for a driver. 30mins later it arrived. We were a regular customer, won’t be ordering from them again.

The Large Doner kebab was like a kids portion won't be ordering from here again 1*

order 6.22, rang at 7.15, Email at 7.30 saying on way rang at 8.15 got put on hold food came at 8.20, no good reason given

order said delayed, then never turned up, also tried ringing 6 times no answer. wont be coming here again. save your money buy a pot noodle

Very fast service, great chips good portions

Honestly the best tasting chips in Pboro, not sure what they coat them in before frying but they are 10 10. Don’t go as much as I usually do as there large portion is hit and miss, one week you get a decent portion following week there’s barely much. Hands down tho best chips in boro

The food was nice as always but the order was delivered by a person on a push bike so it was all cold by the time it arrived.

Fish was. Very thin one end not able to eat. Chips very yellow lots of hard small chips on this occasion

delivery was fine but feedback to BJ's. Mushy Peas so salty we could not eat them and same for chicken tikka in naan.

I had ordered a pizza before with exactly the same toppings, however the pizza for this order lacked enough sauce, so much so that the sauce was only near the crusts instead across the whole pizza. The cheese was not melted properly and once removed, it was clear that the dough was undercooked - making the pizza inedible. I applied for a refund and lost - so live and let learn, won't be ordering a pizza from here again, will just stick to the kebabs and chips for next time.

Put mayo on chicken burger when it should of been in dip pots sent wrong drinks should of had sprite and Fanta twist got full fat coke and Fanta orange not good for a diabetic

Too much herbs on pizza, was tasty though. Barely any chicken on fried chicken all bone (happened more than once), so won't purchase again. Rest was good.

I want start off by saying thank you to the staff that cooked and prepared the order, the food was lovely and nice and hot. I would also like to thank the delivery driver too, for delivering the order, he was friendly, had positive attitude and he handled the order well, I highly recommend the delivery driver.

Doner Kebab was missing and a large chips would like a refund

Everything was great, except they forgot the Donner Tray order. I fell asleep not long after delivery, and only noticed just now.

Very good chippy. Chips are amazing, kebab meat is perfect. Everything is good, apart from one thing. The fish isn’t great. Which kind of lets it down from being the best chippy around.

Family group order. Nearly three hours before arrived. Shame, food not bad but not piping hot. Said lack of drivers but didn't call to let us know of delay, we could have collected? So sorry, no friendly updates about problems, left hungry, waiting. Bad customer service.

Not overly impressed with food. Ordered cheese chips x2 at £1 extra per portion and they turned up plain. And kebab on naan was extremely greasy with very limited salad

Chips have a coating which is nice especially if the chips are a bit crispy fish was ok ,and they do a lot of good deals on meals

It as gone down hill they are more interested in over the phone orders I had fish and chips and nuggets and chips we all so wanted some southern fried chicken there was a load freshly cooked but we where told they where for a phone order and it would take 45 minutes to cook some more. the fish was stale and the nuggets were hard they were more interested in over the phone orders than passing trade I will no be using this chippy again

After a brief misunderstanding about what services this establishment offered I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Not what I expected from my evening visit but I had a pleasurable visit anyway in the form of top quality food.

Used to be a good chippy wrong order waited far to long for food more interested in on line orders rather than face to face customers will not use again on the plus side did get a partial refund bought to the door which was very appreciated thankyou

Use to be my to go to fish shop however the chips ate now over greasy and depending on who serves you to the amount of chips you get, staff on my last visit ignored my existence for 3 minutes so I walked out and haven't gone back. Food is expensive and yet cheap in quality. Shame really

Asked for a fish butty, got looked at like I was speaking Chinese,I explained a fish in a bread cake same response then cod in breadbun then fish sandwich,she didn't have a clue I know it's not a traditional fish and chip shop but if you sell fish and chips you should know what a fish butty is, ended up getting a kids cod and chips even though I just asked for a fish on its own. The fish was ok, lots and lots of chips that where average, I would eat from here again but the staff really need to learn English. The lady after me also struggled with making her order it was quite awkward.

Ordered donner meat and chips, when food arrived chips tasted average however the donner meat tasted like it was out of a toilet and then microwaved. Shocking !!!

Like the chicken and chips from this place. Most of the times good but today big thigh pice was slightly undercooked. Crispy chips with a coating nice with salt vinegar.

Not sure what's happened recently but a large portion of chips is shocking in size!! I thought maybe a one off but again tonight it's shocking!?? Were paying more money for less food??

Our food tonight was full of greeze n the chicken did not taste nice & our pizzas was cold I really would not have it again we sometimes enjoy what we have but it was not good I wasted 60 pound on food that I didn't enjoy very much so I would like a refund but knowing me I wont get Plus my pitta was rock hard as well

Went in this place in the 8th of November , ordered a large Donor and chips , saw the manageress filling up a yellow plastic box with the Donor meat . I asked if it came with pitta bread and salad , got the rudest look and attitude so that cost me £7.45 I said I wanted it with salad and pitta bread well thought I was a naughty school boy she un wrapped it and opened a uncooked pitta bread stick the meat in and the smallest salad and virtually chucked at at me , oh after having to pay another £1.50 Sisgraceful service and after all that worst coldest Kebab I had ever eaten , sorry guys for this but terrible service bad kebab what more can I do , the manageress certainly needs some training and your donors certainly need to improve very poor won’t be returning any time soon , your shop looks very impressive shame

Was very shocked at the service I received today 19/10/22. Went to order food and the response from the young lady behind the counter was appalling. Manners don't cost anything. I left the shop without ordering any food and told them that I thought her mannerisms were shocking

Stood in a queue at the front door while the staff were running around fulfilling delivery orders and deliberately doing their very best to ignore all the waiting customers wanting to place an order. I just gave up and left.

The chips are next level here!!

Ordered dinner wrap with salad, donner meat chips and salad and cheesy chips - wrap arrived without salad and the cheesy chips without cheese - when I called to complain was told they would bring some cheesy chip and check the cctv to see if salad was put on the wrap. Asked to speak to the manager - no manager there tonight - asked to speak to who is in charge - no one in charge - I feel very sorry for the poor 16-18 year olds who are being exploited and need to deal with these situations - will never order again !!!! 8 days later and the refund the owner promised to arrange with Uber eats hadn’t arrived - after putting a call in was told they would bring the refund at 9pm - arrived at 10pm with the refund - no apology and in fact it was the owner who I was told is overseas (I know this as a former employee (underage) was in my house to verify his identity) - I don’t think I have ever been as angry at a company’s customer service - I understand mistakes happen and if dealt with properly as they usually are by businesses it’s no problem - but to argue with a customer and lie to the is unacceptable - have already reported to the GLAA and won’t stop here as I am so upset - all I expected was for them to bring me chips with cheese on, the missing salad from my wrap and a simple “sorry”

Good for a cheap takeaway. Chips were well cooked not too greasy, bit crispy in places and cooked through properly. Burger was what you expect from this type of takeout not great quality but a decent cheap burger.

Really disappointed. Used just eat to order. Had a call from bjs to say they didn’t have the naan so would we like wraps. We accepted. The food that arrived was not ours, and our food was just missing! we tried to call the restaurant. No answer, phone just kept saying busy. Rang the mobile number who had rang us. No answer. Just eat, email only contact. So 24 hours later still no refund Will never use again!!

Terrible customer service tonight considering I was the only one waiting on a order. Not the best to see all 4 of the front staff messing about, screaming and telling the whole world who fancies who was ridiculous. Then after waiting for over 10 minutes they finally remembered that I was still waiting for my order, only to get home to find it was wrong!

Oh dear. Used this chippy for years, the best chips in Peterborough by miles. Visited on the 10/03/22 . Had some crazy queuing system, one person at a time in shop (fair enough) but standing outside for 20 minutes next in the queue and not being able to place an order was ridiculous staff were aware I was there but looked away if you made eye contact. It was better during lockdown. Needless to say I went elsewhere and won’t be going back anytime soon.
