This is a standard birds with a large selection of bread and pastries. The stock runs out fast though

Great place for cakes, pastry, filled sandwiches and cobs

Local bakery shop with a range of bread, rolls and cake. Also pork pies, takeaway sandwiches etc. Usually a queue. Can recommend the pork pies and caramel doughnuts.

What is going on as this shop has very poor selection, few sandwiches, no sausages and limited cake range. Visit was pre - noon and therefore arguement of selling out could apply as still at least 6 hrs before they closed.

The best Pork Pies but they are expensive

Not sure if the Christmas porky pies are as good as those produced during the year.

Brilliant staff and amazing fresh food

I ordered a number of fresh cakes and sausage rolls for my wife's 40th birthday celebration at her place of work. The service from the shop in Mickleover was first class,food was absolutely lovely. Highly recommended.

Busy & but only 2 staff on at lunch time so took an age to get served with only covid number customers in the shop.

Headed in early Saturday morning for the fresh rolls and something to treat myself. Was greeted by a polite and helpful staff member who catered to all my needs. If it wasn't for the manager screaming at her other staff about what seemed unimportant it might have made it my greatest birds experience.

The best donuts in the world!! Ok I obviously haven't tried all the donuts around the world but the ones I have have always been beaten by Birds. If I ever moved away from Derbyshire and lived in a different country I have always said it would be Birds that I would miss the most (after friends and family of course) Birds offer a wide variety of cakes, tarts, sausage rolls, bread, bread rolls, cheese and onion rolls, meat products and more, all of it is fresh and whatever they don't sell gets chucked out at the end of the working day so you know that everyday everything is fresh! The caramel donut has cream inside, caramel on top and is super soft and yummy - and messy. The Lemon tarts are smaller than what I would normally go for but they are so full of flavour that I don't mind them being tiny! And my last recommendation is the Cheese and Onion Rolls, so delicious and always a great temperature as well. The bread rolls are a family favourite, you can get them in different sizes as well and they can be frozen very easily too. If you are in the Derbyshire / Chesterfield / Burton area make sure to go here to get a treat or two!

My favourite bakery... Might be other maybe more well known bakerys on the high street but not a patch on Birds..... Keep up the good work and looking forward to my next amazing sausage roll from you guys....

Always excellent service. Everything is of excellent quality. Everything is fresh that day, so come early so as not to be disappointed. They do prebooking for collections on bread and sausage. Which is excellent if you are planning a bbq.

What can you say about birds. Simply the best cakes, cold meats and especially there pork pies ! Love the pork pies!
