Birch Tree Cafe in East Northamptonshire

Popped in for a quick takeaway drink as we were passing by. Hubby had a flat white and really enjoyed the taste of the coffee. I had a hot chocolate and it was amazing, the best I’d had in a while. Personally, I find that so many of the big chains have a weak, milky, watery excuse for hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was actually chocolatey. The person who served us was lovely, polite and smiley. Would defo recommend takeaway and will be popping in to have a dine-in experience!

One of the best tea rooms and such a lovely couple that run it. It was like stepping back in time. Well worth a visit

I had a great time here, the staff were all lovely and very attentive to my needs! Beer was tasty and staff were amazing.

We were led to believe this was above average - ho hum... Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Finding a wine list took some 20 minutes. After another reuest when it arrived it was crumpled and stained. As it was warm night we decided to eat outside - tables could have done with a good wipe, and the floor had obviously not seen a sweep for some time - cigarette ends all over the place. Menu was nothing more than average selection of pub food, and from arrival to food arriving took one hour. On the plus sign - food was hot, and acceptable, portion size - substantial. (No need for a starter.)
