Estaba pasando una gran noche y el portero de repente arrastró a mi compañero sin razón y lo tiró al suelo. Después de tener una conversación con ellos estaba claro que solo son matones y no podían dar una razón sólida. Un comportamiento absolutamente ridículo.

¡Qué divertido! Sin pretensiones solo buena música y ambiente. No esperes las mejores bebidas (palo a borrador y embotellado), pero estarás demasiado ocupado bailando. Fuimos el sábado

Es tan agradable encontrar un bar en Nottingham que no solo se adhiera a las mismas aburridas opciones de bebidas genéricas. Su menú de bebidas es fascinante con tantas opciones únicas para probar. Desde el sol de la luna hasta unas 10 variaciones diferentes de té helado de Long Island y chupitos con un cazador de jugo de pepinillo. Me encanta un bar que tiene un fotomatón, así como que imprime recuerdos de alta calidad de su noche de fiesta. Buen lugar para ver algunos talentos locales en vivo y una buena lista de reproducción el resto del tiempo también. La única crítica es que podrían cambiar algunos de los taburetes de las aulas de ciencias de la escuela secundaria con algo un poco más cómodo que se adapte mejor a la altura de la mesa.

Escuché música en vivo y apareció inesperadamente. Resulta ser una banda de rock. Parece que kater a los adultos para variar. Sal a bailar ahora

Ridiculous queues for drinks, very slow service. Nice place, good beers, decent music. Just a shame about the 15 minute wait for drinks every time!

Percy Picklebackers or Billy Bootleggers or whatever this venue wants to call themselves this week. However Nelly Knuckle-draggers might be much more an appropriate name for the venue, given the pound shop ‘ninja’ patrons in attendance at their Hardcore gig on Saturday 29th April. Whilst it was noted that drinks were served in plastic cups, I believe ‘sippy-cups’ would be more appropriate to the morons in attendance. Just to point out, I am a female under 5ft tall. Whilst at this venue, I was punched in the face in a completely unprovoked attack by a much larger, younger man knocking me off of my feet. I sustained a serious injury to my eye, which instantly started swelling. Upon reporting the incident to the woman collecting ticket money, I was victim-blamed for “being near the front”. I was not offered any first aid whatsoever. If security was present, they certainly weren’t visible. I messaged the venue to complain about the assault and they never responded. Having reported this assault to Nottinghamshire Police, I have waited before posting this to see if the venue would redeem themselves in assisting with the investigation. The police requested CCTV footage on four occasions. The venue never submitted CCTV footage so this crime can only currently remain on file. I am under the ongoing care of the Ophthalmology department because of this assault and the venue could not care less. I would never set foot ever ever again in this venue. They do not care about the safety of their customers, especially vulnerable women.

This review is for Percy Picklebackers which is what this place is now known as. I went here for the New Years Eve countdown and was unsure if the crowd of people outside was a queue or just a smoking area so I just asked one of the two bouncers on my way in 'is that a queue?' and they had a good laugh at me and mocked my stammer (I wasn't drunk I have a speech impairment), impersonating what I said with a jokey stammery voice. I wasn't going to give that place any of my money after that. First impressions matter

Two seniors happened on this wonderful live music establishment. Great atmosphere, sensible prices and a wonderful experience to be surrounded by young people just enjoying themselves. Live group on when we attended was great.

Popped in on a night out, place is just a mess, dirty tables, broken furniture, slow uninterested staff. Just not great. I could go on about let downs like... Been out of ice, only 1 beer on draught as they sold out of the rest (on a friday at 6pm), dirty glasses, broken toilet doors ...But honestly they dont really seem to care. Only giving it 2 stars because the band they had were good.

Great bar and a great location with brilliant drink deals and tasty cocktails and a bit of live music too which finished the night off a treat

Wow. Horrendous attitude. We frequented this establishment on Saturday afternoon. Live music- check. Beers- check. What we didn’t expect was a slice of utterly horrendous attitude from one of the bar staff. We went upstairs as one of our group has new hearing aids and whilst the music was great, we needed somewhere a little quieter. Up came mr attitude and pretty much kicked off with us, shouting. What was wrong with ‘sorry lads, we are closed up here- do you mind coming back down stairs?’ Never in my life have I witnessed such disgraceful behaviour from a member of staff in a bar. Bad day? Everyone has them- don’t bring it to work. The guy should find a new job- one that doesn’t involve customer interaction. Or find a course about not being so grumpy. Won’t come back and didn’t order any more drinks.

Absolutely wonderful place. Had a brill night with dancing and singing. Live band were good. Also sampled the food which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are already planning a trip back

Has the potential to be great. Visited during open mic night and the performers were fantastic, the drinks we had were also lovely. However, it was painful to get served, took 10+ minutes each time even if the bar wasn't busy, and if the bartender knew someone who came up to the bar after you, they'll just serve them first regardless! Very frustrating when the atmosphere in the bar was good but constantly waiting for drinks. Man behind the bar with a moustache, initially very friendly and welcoming, then seemed to care less and less the longer you were there.

I anticipated another great night at Billy Bootleggers. It has been a great atmosphere thanks to good drinks at good prices with good staff. Sadly, the latter is now lacking. Some staff ensured Covid measures were followed in a welcoming way. Others were completely rude. A friend leant by a table to get the QR code to order drinks as ours wasn't working and was yelled at and pointed at by staff to sit down despite him standing for a second. Others shouted at us over the night despite us following all the rules. It's such a shame that these staff acted in this way because some of us aren't planning to return now. Some pubs make you feel welcome under Covid. This hasn't been one of them.

Luke, Yan and Andres (I think I spelt that right the god that makes gorgeous Hurricane's). Brilliant day out (#Sues table) Lovely drinks, great music and we know you guys were busy today but you did amazing and we just wanted to make sure you knew you were good and not to knock yourselfs! Great work! Great bar. Lovely food!!! Enjoyed every minute.

Authentic. Good atmosphere. Great music. Good variety of drinks. ‘Bootlegger Post’ is very informative. Good service. Nice staff.

Quite a wait at the bar while the 2 staff where knocking up cocktails, American craft beer & double Malibu & coke around eleven quid, took a high seat on the back & enjoyed the afternoon (4pm) lounge music band, interesting & quirky decor, noticed bands played most Saturday & Sunday afternoons, pity they are only advertised on Facebook? Leftlion would be a fantastic place for band listings, we will be back, really enjoyed it.

Great non cheesy stab at authentic Americana vibes... free entry was surprising for the quality of the 2 bands I saw sat afternoon and another later that evening. Best bourbon selection I have ever seen .... will be back

The bar has a fantastic range of whiskies, Irish, and scotch, but the main focus is on bourbon. They also have homemade flavoured 'moonshine' to try. Only disappointment was that the staff at the time we visited didn't seem like they wanted to be there,...

You might just remember this as Chemistry (but probably not as it didn't seem to last 5 minutes!) It's pretty much opposite the Nottingham Contemporary. The place has been done up as an American "Dive Bar". As you might expect, there's no real beer, but...
