Visited here for a meal over Christmas. 5 star.

First of all the place was freezing had to keep our coats on until dinner arrived , we both had chicken supreme it was reall bad jus a plain piece of chicken on top of mash with a yellow sauce never seen chicken supreme with yellow sauce it was tasteless asked for side portion of onion rings Iam 99% sure they were frozen , I knew something was wrong as on recent visits the food has been top class , this on 7 o’clock on a sat night and restaurant was near empty , we had just booked at 530 …I can’t be certain but iam sure it is a new owner and chef ,,, defo won’t be back £50 wasted

Everything about this place is incredible, it’s always our favourite restaurant for a special treat , the venue is beautiful, staff are lovely and food is beautiful, always look forward to our meals

My daughter and young granddaughter and my self stayed for the night we had a beautiful meal and next morning breakfast fantastic the staff were so nice and helpful made you feel like part of their family nothing was too much for them great bar and atmosphere we have already booked a another night in it we have stayed in a awful lot of places but this was definitely one of the best a mention for James who went above and beyond a hidden jem I would give it more stars ⭐️ if I could loved it

Went here for dinner for the first time in quite a while and weren't sure what to expect but it was really good. Very pleasant young waitress and manager. We felt welcome and looked after. The gluten free options are excellent and they were well managed and presented. The scallops were good (I just don't like slate instead of a plate), the seabass was also very good - maybe fewer capers would be better. Portion sizes are generous too. I would recommend anyone to try it and we will be back.

Prob worst meal out I’ve ever had. Scallops were fishy which means they aren’t fresh and starting to turn. Had sea bass for main which was 2 bits of fish which seemed to be deep fat fried or else shallow fried in oil, these were set on top of 3 or 4 baby potatoes which has inherited all the grease from the fish. On top of that was a handful of capers and a handful of tiny prawns. I felt like Jeremy beatle was going to jump out at any second. The chicken stack which my wife had was the a heap of mashed potato that yer ma cooks on a Tuesday night with a chicken breast with the wing and all still on it sitting on the side of the plate and a bowl of mushroom sauce which was mostly sliced mushroom.

Hidden gem just 2 miles outside Larne town. Food, service and ambiance 10/10, lunch time special £10 Fri and Sat, highly recommend. Thank you Eamon and team, we will definitely be back very soon

Loved this place! Great food, friendly staff and a real welcoming atmosphere. So pleased we found it. My toddler son who I was worried wouldn't sit well for family lunch was made to feel so welcome, they brought him some colouring in to do, and there is a little playhouse in the garden and a swing seat. I think it would be lovely out there in the sunshine.

Lovely bed and breakfast, we received a warm welcome and an amazing cooked breakfast when we first arrived. The rooms were just wanted we needed for the night and clean. Thank you, we would stay here again.

Visited while staying with friends in the area. Had a meal in the restaurant that was first class. Highly recommend the scallops and black pudding. Went home for a few hours then back in the evening for a few beers and some live music. Very friendly pub with the patrons all very chatty. All in all a great afternoon and evening

We stayed a couple of days here while arriving late and wanting to do the coastal route up north the next day. The breakfasts are completely amazing whether going for the Full Irish or granola and fruit. The evening meals are a fantastic quality. The staff all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I’d highly recommend staying here for a weekend break.

A friend and I went to Billy Andy's for dinner, needed a night out and hadn't been here for a year maybe so thought we'd check in and see what it was like. Sent a message on FB to book a table and it was confirmed same day. Arrived a little early and we were seated straight away. Attentive staff answered some of our menu questions and food arrived after a short wait. It was delish, I got the Malaysian curry and my friend got the salmon. We were both very happy with the portions especially as we both found room for the brownie cheesecake which was SO good. Nice atmosphere, clean toilets (though one needs a new lock!), great food, all that you would expect from Billy Andy's 😁. Didn't get any photos as we were starvos who inhaled the food as soon as it came!

My wife and I had Sunday lunch here today and it was exceptional. Only our second visit but we will soon return. Beautiful location, very friendly efficient staff and the food is superb with great imagination in creation of dishes, marvellous flavours and great care and pride obviously taken in presentation. Another restaurant we booked during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme as it’s local and the food is amazing. Covid measures were excellent as was the food. I normally avoid bringing the kids here as service can be slow, not an issue for me when having a few drinks etc but brought them along on this occasion with no issues. We both opted for the rack and ribeye of beef which was delightful as always. Beautiful food and will be returning soon to use the £10 off voucher we received on this visit.

The manager is quite frankly one of the rudest men I have ever met. Made a new mother cry for not booking her new born baby a seat and has an attitude to curdle milk. Not friendly at all. Otherwise food is nice and other nice staff but the manager leaves a sour taste. Would not recommend if you like to be served with a smile or a nice hello, actually just common decency. Rang to book a table to give another try after a year and the attitude was intolerable. I see why they do so well with the food, but a nicer experience if they changed up the manager!

I have been meaning to visit Billy Andy’s for many years . All my friends have been recommending and talking about it . I certainly wasn’t disappointed, from I arrived until my departure we were looked after by a wonderful team who work well together giving you a first class experience . Really enjoyed the food but I’m writing this review to thank the staff for the effort they have put into heath and safety measures. They have implemented a safe sensible logical approach to the covid issue. Staff were taking sensible precautions which allowed us to relax and enjoy our food as usual. Thank you!

Fabulous little place full of charm , great atmosphere and most importantly great food , I have been here twice now a few weeks ago for dinner and today for lunch , both times have been equally good and will definitely be returning

Visited this restaurant mon 10/8 with my husband for some lunch .... booked it online through opentable ...... when we arrived , it was quite busy , but all staff had PPE and there is a one way system in operation, which is good . We decided on the 3 course lunch, and realised pretty quickly, that it was very busy and most of the staff where run off their feet . So we expected a long wait between courses , and that's fair enough, given that they had twice as many covers in , than they would have on a Saturday. I know this because one of the staff told us !! .... now not wanting to make a fuss , we patiently waited between each course , infact we where there for just over 2 hours !!! ..... found it hard to attract the attention of anyone to get our bill .... but there again, we where patient ...... so whenever the senior member of staff came over and told us that we would have to vacate our table, I was gobsmacked!!! ... our dessert plates hadnt even been lifted at this point and i was finishing my coffee!! Not good . Either up the staffing levels or dont take so many bookings .... it's a simple enough solution, rather than taking it out on diners because you think they have been dawdling over their lunch !!!! .... now it's just as well that the food is excellent , so tasty and very well presented, so 5 out of 5 to the chef !! And for the quality of the food , the price is very reasonable...... this review should have been all about the fantastic plates of food, the atmosphere and the ambience of the place, which is simply first class.... but I'm afraid the attitude of some of the staff has marred what should have been a perfect lunch

My wife and I went as part of the eat out to help out deal, the restaurant was really COVID compliant, staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, I felt for them and everyone working in the open kitchen with their PPE, the menu was fantastic, the quality and flavours of the food was fantastic, great value for money, can’t wait to go back

My 1st visit to Billy Andys and it won't be my last.From we arrived we were made to feel very welcomed by john. We got the lunch menu and it was hard to pick what i wanted so many good options. The service was excellent, and when my starter arrived and after the 1st bite i new it was a great choice. I had prawns for starter and battered fish for mains the food was really excellent.It was also very reasonable From john, to the girls and guys serving us and to the chefs thank you for a great lunch

Such a shame as the food really is scrumptious! However, my husband got the lamb - there were two tiny little bits of lamb and 3 small baby boiled potatoes. It was the size of a starter and that’s being generous! Perfectly cooked though. It also took an hour and 15 minutes to come out. We actually had to stop at KFC on the way home as he was still so hungry! I decided to have a pudding - again it took 35 minutes but was lovely. When I mentioned the wait, the waiter said it was just so busy. It is on ‘the eat out to help out scheme,’ and we had booked so thought maybe they should have anticipated it being busier than usual. Definitely order some sides! Would also like to mention we aren’t big eaters!

A friend and I ate here on Friday night for our first meal out since the pandemic caused chaos. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Hard copies of the menu are not available and you are given the wifi code to browse the menu online. The kiev starter was beautiful and the 12oz steak was cooked to my liking. The mini desserts were ample after the starter and steak.

We have always wanted to try Billy Andys but have only now got round to it. We book a table for our dinner out since lockdown. This place did not disappoint. The food is exceptional. We will be sure to return.

Popped in here for lunch whilst waiting for the ferry back to Cairnryan. It's only about 15 mins. from the ferry terminal and, honestly, everyone should eat here if they have time to spare. The food was fantastic and excellent value. A genuine hidden gem. Service was brilliant too, very friendly and hospitable. I wish I lived much nearer to this restaurant because I would just keep going back and back.

Such a shame as lovely food. Front of house manager without doubt the rudest most unwelcoming guy. The type of guy that treats customers as if they they get in the way and he is too busy. Shocking frankly.

Had heard through word of mouth from friends how good this restaurant was, I had the opportunity to visit today with my wife Julie. Probably one of the best meals we have had in a good while. Everything from the menu choice to the wine list was so much to our pallet. I even got to choose my own whisky from the front bar. Love this place and can't wait to go back.

This restaurant is fabulous. The warm welcome and friendliness of staff are outstanding. The menu has been created by an absolute genius who knows how to marry together flavours and textures. The composition of the dishes with very fresh ingredients and the presentation of each course served on a vast array of quirky plates/bowls adds to this high end gastronomic experience. This restaurant offers more than a meal, it provides a food experience second to none in this country. It is a first class constant in terms of food and service as I am basing this review on many visits with many more to come.

Went tonight to this place for a valentines meal as we haven’t been for a while. It didn’t disappoint as per usual. Scallops with cod Bon Bon for starters was great. Then for mains surf and turf was stunning. Think they saved best till last with the trio of desserts Will defiantly be back soon.

A large group of us visited here for an early tea over the Christmas break. The food was delicious but the service was terrible it took ages to get a drink but we ordered our meal which was served after a short wait We then ordered desserts and coffee the coffees came first the desserts took almost an hour to appear, the children in our party got fed up the adults in our party got fed up then the adults got served and the children still had to wait so unprofessional they weren’t busy they just didn’t seem to have a clue, no explanation from management The wait spoilt a delicious meal they need to up their gamePlease can we have white plates not a fan of the rustic pottery

Went for a couple of cocktails (very small bar area) and friendly customers moved to allow us to sit down. Decided to have dinner and although we had no reservations the staff managed to seat us. Dropped in on a busy Saturday, hadn't booked but was quickly seated, served and the food was to die for! Good quality flavoursome food and great value for money. Service was excellent , very attentive staff, Can't understand how or why anyone could complain about this place.

This is a quirky pub/restaurant in the countryside just a few miles from Larne. I was really looking forward to a varied menu with a twist on local produce and that is what we got. There is a tdh menu with two or three course options. Service was charming and attentive and the menu represents great value for the quality of food on offer. Among our choices were the delicious soup and the goats cheese panacotta for starters. I was then tempted by the Glenarm salmon (a special). This came with vegetables and roast potatoes to share. I can always manage more salmon. Few of us could fit in a dessert, but the choice is two mini desserts from a choice of about six. That is a nice idea. The baby who was with us was well catered for with mash, gravy and ice cream. There was a good choice of wine by the bottle and the glass. After eating we retired to the small bar. There are lots of interesting nicknacks about to attract your interest. Rightly popular with locals and visitors.

My husband and I went yesterday 28th dec 2019 to try the Christmas evening menu to celebrate my birthday. The starter of goats cheese panna cotta was beautiful - a wonderful mix of flavours. We waited a long time for our main course but weren't too bothered. I had specifically asked for our meals to be served on plates instead of wooden platters but mine arrived on wood and had to be replated despite the request being passed to the chef. My main course which had a £3 supplement was extremely disappointing, poor value and not as described on the menu. The 6oz sirloin was a round pillar of steak and I doubt it was 6oz. The rib of beef was a tiny minced down concoction of shredded meat and onion and the 'leaping lamb's ale pie was not a pie but another spoonful of minced down lamb and veg,mostly carrot and with no pastry or "pie". The waitress told me they had no pastry left!! The chef's response to my feedback was that he had done 100 covers and noone else had complained!! My husbands meal was fine but I am afraid I was left disappointed. We were given a small reduction off my meal but that doesnt make up for a poor experience

My first visit and definitely not my last!! Delicious meal in the restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. Presentation and flavours of both starters and main courses faultless and the hospitality of the owners and staff a real find in these times of fast food and chain restaurants!! We felt valued as customers and the brandy tasting in specially warmed brandy goblet / gin discussions something else! The arrival of our prebooked taxi meant our visit was just too short. But we will be back in the Nee Year!

We kicked of the Christmas holidays with a yummy lunch at Billy Andys. The food, as always was flawless and the staff and service fantastic! Very disappointing evening on this occasion, we visited with friends for Christmas party night, it was very disappointing to say the least, my prawn starter was quite chewy and almost cold,main course okay but not the best (Turkey & Gammon, not sure what happened to the gammon.) Deserts were good. The staff were very inexperienced and didn’t really understood the runnings of a restaurant, we waited for drinks which didn’t arrive and my husband had to go to the bar twice to get them. The best thing of the evening was the music. At the end of the evening when we went to discuss with the manager of our grievances we were informed he’d gone home.

Very disappointing.The service was very poor due to young inexperienced staff getting no help from management who were only there at the beginning of the night.The entertainment was excellent and the food was good but the whole experience was ruined by the service
