Enjoyed the food but felt the service was a bit slow near the end of our meal. We waited to order a dessert however no one came to our table

Pub food, nothing exceptional, just good

It's ironic this is located in Cheap St as its anything but. Overpriced, average food. The serving staff are nice but the food is honestly average. Cold poached eggs for three of us, most of our food lacked basic seasoning and just not tasty. It was super busy so that could mean one of two things - we were unlucky, or they don't need to make much effort as they have footfall from the tourist community. Either way the kitchen staff need to up their game. If they are putting eggs in an ice bath after cooking they were served stone cold and unpleasant. Bills cheesey potatoes were undercooked cubes of potato with velveteea? Kraft slice? Orange processed cheese melted with a couple of slices of onion...really unappetising. Add in tinny music blasted out in an already loud environment and all in all not a great experience. Felt sorry for the overworked staff who were rushing around trying to serve, sit, bring bills and check in with everyone. It needs a reset with some decent food and better prices.

We tried Bill’s BBQ Tray and Bill’s Fish Pie and we liked them both.

Have visited a number of Bills around the country. Never had a bad meal. Bath venue was no different. Went there for drinks- plenty of choice. We went back a second day and had food- really good.

Lovely spot in the centre of Bath. We had never heard of this chain and chose it based on the vegan options for one of our party. We were all impressed, the menu was fantastic and the service was perfect. We would return.

The breakfast wasn't that good for my taste. Ambience is quite nice. Toilets are good.

A nice restaurant in the middle of the city for breakfast and lunch, close to the Abbey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was not fast, but they apologized for the delay and refunded the cost of the drinks.

We highly recommend eating at Bill’s a Bath. We went there twice during our stay in the Cotswolds. Well located restaurant, a warm atmosphere, appetizing and very good dishes, quality service with smiling, professional and polite staff. Very pleasant meal and very kids friendly! 👍

Bill’s Bath is good if it quiet, but mediocre when busy. We like the food and staff who work very hard, but it slips when the restaurant is very busy, so choose to avoid then.

Food was pretty nice, but I was mainly amazed by how crazy fast the service was, even though all tables were full and there was a small waiting line outside

One of my favourite places in Bath to get a great meal at a decent price. Does get busy so worth booking before walking over! Great selection on the menu, everything we’ve had has always been great with no complaints! Not usually a fan of chains but this is an exception

A fantastic evening's meal to draw birthday celebrations to a close. Service was excellent, drinks were fantastic and the food was to die for. Went with the veggie/vegan route tonight and was not disappointed. The cauliflower wings defy explanation, the halloumi fries are divine. The dirty vegan burger was just perfect - upgrade to the truffle cheese fries, your body will love you for it - and desert, apple and mincemeat crumble, was a joy from beginning to end. Great night, great food. Thank you too the team for making it such a wonderful experience.

The food was OK. but nothing special in terms of taste. Unfortunately there is no draft beer. Quite unusual for the UK.

Yesterday we had dinner there with 4 people, we were very happy to be welcomed, attentive and friendly staff, the food was perfect, 4 different dishes were served at the same time and everyone was very satisfied, I can definitely recommend it

Service was fantastic and food great.

We ate here at lunchtime after seeing the Roman Baths and we sat outside. The seating area had some shaded areas which was great as it was 29 degrees that day. The service was quick and we had the Halloumi Burger and the Greek Salad. Both were great. Would recommend for a lunchtime stop off

Good place for bites and drinks

We returned to Bill's in Bath after a great first visit but were highly disappointed this time. The hamburger was dry, and the bacon was rock-hard. Although we had a late evening booking, it shouldn't justify the drop in food quality and service we experienced. Disappointing overall.

After recently going to Bill's in London - we thought we'd try our local ones in bath. The food was excellent (the BBQ Bourbon burger is among the best I've had!). The service was excellent... Although maybe a little too good as we felt we were being rushed! Prices were about average. Although I would say if you're going to charge £3.50 for a coke don't just bring it in a can that I can buy for £1 🤷‍♂️ It's very busy so booking is essential.

Really good food, but a bit too loud music

We loved the service, the food was great!! And the decor and atmosphere felt very comfortable. We liked the layout too, it is more spread out and feels like you have your own space (not cramped up. We had the same lovely waitress serve us for last 2 days. She was excellent as we're the rest of the staff. Thank you for providing a excellent experience with great fresh food.

breakfast was ok,but l don’t like there coffee

Popped in for a quick meal. We had the beef burger with short rib and whiskey glug and rosemary chips, and chicken sharma. Both really good. The staff was excellent and very friendly.

Stumbled across here a few years back....back then...varied menu but enough to give a nice choice...dimmed lighting...candles in tables...cosy and inviting....last week...less on the menu, all the lights switched on....didn't get offered the afters menu....all of the above kinda subliminally made us leave...the food was great but in the whole nit as inviting as it used to be...

Bill’s Truffle Chicken 2 Ways was excellent. Both the grilled chicken breast in red wine jus and the buttermilk fried chicken breast were well prepared and tasty. The staff were friendly; and the service was prompt.

Lovely Restaurant in the heart of the city close to the Abbey and shops. Popped in for breakfast after a recommendation from a colleague. Was early when I visited, so it was still quite quiet. It is spacious with nice decor and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. I had come for an English breakfast so this is what I chose and it was lovely. There is a nice menu for lunch and dinner as well as a bar, so I will definitely be back soon to try 😋

Stopped by this busy restaurant for lunch. Despite the crowds, our service was quick and our server was friendly. I had the fish pie which was delicious. The rest of my family liked their meals too. I’m glad we stopped by!

Fantastic burger. Really good staff. Seriously though, the quality of the food is a singular reason to go here. Oh, and they're up for customisation of a burger. Delicious! Did I mention the chilli margarita...?

Bland and cold food. We purchased a big breakfast (fried egg, bacon, sausage, potatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato and toast). A gluten free avocado and poached egg. As well as two cocktails (passion fruit and Prosecco, strawberry and Prosecco). The food took a long time to come out and when it did it was cold and bland. Particularly the mushrooms and avocado which felt like they had just come out of the fridge. Cocktails were pretty bad as well. Only positives were that they had a specific gluten free menu and servings were large.

Good solid brunch/lunch venue especially if you have kids. Wide variety of options. Good little kids menu. Happened to luck in on a week when kids eat for free which was a bonus. The kids vegan meatballs were delicious. Aubergine parmigiana very nice and desserts well made and presented. The apple crumble could be cooked better for the little kids. Haloumi was brilliant. Very bust at lunchtime and may have to wait for a seat to come up.

Nice restaurant as always. Bill’s has been in the market for ages and it would never let you down. The staff is super polite and well trained. The food is on point. It was the best options for a good coffee and rest after all the cafes closed.

Style over substance. Cannot believe an English breakfast can be so disappointing. Had to ask for water 3 times. Staff don't seem to care much.

Had the truffle chicken but didn't taste of truffle, pretty tasteless too. My partner paid, I glanced at the total thought it was pretty expensive, came to realise they added a 12.5% service charge. Absolutely shocking amount. You set your prices for your food so leave the option to tip to the customer

Highly recommend this gem in the heart of Bath,the breakfast we had is by far the best we’ve ever eaten,you can see the food is cooked with love and attention to detail.We will definitely come again.

😑 Adventurous menu, but the execution falls short of expectations. At time of writing, Bill's is a highly rated eatery in Bath for brunch in a convenient location in the centre near the Roman baths, and the menu has a number of interesting-looking dishes. However, the meal on the plate doesn't quite live up to that. The English breakfast is a generous portion, but when served had slightly stale toast, tough bacon, and the black pudding was like a briquette! The duck salad was a bold choice to include and fared better, but didn't dazzle. The side of sweet potato fries was decent though. Lastly, the fresh tropical juice was very tasty, but a small portion for the price- albeit that the menu mentions that half a kilo of fruit and veg are used. Overall the food is not terrible, but I think this place will be disappointed to not live up to high standards. PS the coed bathrooms are well maintained but bizarrely dark! 🕶️

It was a very lovely atmosphere and the staff was so kind, service was very fast. Foods are amazing! You should give it a try definitely.

Saw good reviews of the place and decided to try it. Unfortunately we were never served and after around 20 minutes we left and were finally noticed by the waiters. Maybe the food is good but the staff should be better trained about how to manage busy hours.

Jasper was amazing. The chicken shawarma was lovely, great flavours. Would recommend the bottomless cocktails, the staff kept on top of our drinks and were lovely recommending their favourites. Thank you!

Not the best experience. A couple in our party had to send food back as it wasn't hot. It was dealt with efficiently and they were very apologetic but it shouldn't have been necessary.

My mashed avocado with 2 poached eggs was nice except that the bun was cold and hard - my wife’s order of scrambled eggs on toast was better - 32 GBP with a 12.5% tip 😏 felt hungry so ate a Cornish pastry thereafter at the Abbey ( burp)

I went there for breakfast with my wife.Since it was so busy, given that my partner was pregnant,I told her to sit somewhere available while I was waiting to be seated by waitresses. A waitress greeted me, and I said my partner sat at a table over there. The waitress then showed a long face, voicing her dissatisfaction towards me without even asking the reason as to why my wife sat at the table by herself. She just ignored me and went to the table to give the menu to my wife and then me. The food was okay, and the premise was neat.

The place looks nice but the food is average. I ordered eggs with feta and butternut squash. There was barely any feta on it and the bread was supposed to be sourdough, it didn’t look nor taste like one. Disappointed, not coming back.

Food was disappointing, we had 'Classic Burger' which had a distinct lack of seasoning in the meat pattie. We also had Poached Eggs on smashed avocado with hollandaise sauce, I have no idea where the sauce was made, but it was bland! The atmosphere was good, though, so we may be back.

Worth the 5 star reviews. The location, atmosphere and staff just excellent. Imogen and Daniel served us and made us feel so looked after. Food not expensive but tasty. Best place in Bath for brunch and rest.

If you go to Bath you need to try Bills' "english breakfast"!! The food is very good, the place is special and very pleasant, and the service is second to none!! It is worth it!!

Bills was OK atmosphere great but rather pricey for what you actually receive when ordering food....service very good though.

We went there for bottomless pancakes(3 to 5pm) and they were so good. Thought I could eat forever but was quite full after the 2nd pancake. Very worth the price (around 10£ and you can eat all the pancakes you want in 90 mins).

Friendly service, sometimes a bit chaotic. Dogs are welcome. Food tastes great, with an extra side dish it is also sufficient.

Poor. I've been to Bills both in Sydney and London and this was by far the worst I've been to. Decor was drab and old and seemed slightly dirty. Ordered breakfast and it was average at premium cost. Not sure if Bill's passing means all Bill's have dropped in standard but I'd rather have supported a local cafe for what we were getting.

Happy with set menu for £17.95. Portion size decent. Served by a lovely team. My only issue is that the men's and women's toilets are together and share a washroom. I personally feel vulnerable in these situations so wouldn't go again.

I went here a couple of weekends ago with my friend to celebrate a recent event, and we had a bottomless brunch (she had cocktails, I had prosecco). It was amazing. The staff were brilliant, offering more drinks as soon as our glasses were empty - they were so on the ball. So smiley, and lovely. The food was lush and because we were there for 90 minutes, I even managed to fit in pudding (a chocolate pot, presented beautifully). We had a window seat, being able to see the Abbey. A wonderful experience - well worth the high price as a celebration treat.

Even though we have been living in Bath for 4 years, I went to that restaurant with my family for the first time last Saturday. The food was very delicious. The waiters are very experienced and friendly. Thanks.

Fantastic service! Nice place as per Bills usual. The food was very very poor, not to the usual standard. I went around 10am on Sunday 31st March, so not sure if the chef were hungover or just not a good cook. The food was slapdash and lazily prepared. The toast wasn’t toasted properly. The black pudding not cooked. The hollandaise tasted weird and couldn’t be eaten. The potato cubes cold. All very disappointing and not sure I’d go back to Bills again after. £20 is expensive for such a bad breakfast. I didn’t eat most of it and went and got another breakfast elsewhere.

Great set menu with lots of choice, so bill was reasonable. Lovely friendly staff. So sad there's no longer a Bills in Bristol.

It's okay. They did get us two mini tables pushed together. Touristy and crowded and cramped, but not bad if your expectations are modest. Food portions were generous. Service was pleasant. Location right down in centre of things.

We have a lovely meal and there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. We had a train to catch and Nico was very quick to take our dessert order which was greatly appreciated.

We went to Bill's for a hen celebration and they were so accommodating for a large group, being one of the only places letting some partake in bottomless drink options and some not (much harder to find than you would think!) Just wanted to say a massive thank you and especially to Kitty, who never let our drinks go empty! We had a very happy hen! Would recommend!

Arrived today to find a queue outside in the rain, all for 1pm bookings, at about 1.15 someone inside passed back a message that they couldn't fit anyone in despite our bookings? Couldn't even be bothered to come out and speak to us all waiting in the rain, families and people who had travelled to Bath for the day hence we had all booked. Terrible customer service.

Friendly staff who found us a table for two despite being very busy. The food was quick to prepare, well presented and delicious. Family atmosphere and they allow pets and even brought a bowl of water for the dog, which was a nice touch. Quite busy of course; it's Bills.
