Bilash Premier cuisine in Cannock Chase

I'll admit I didn't go on a busy day (Halloween) so it was very quiet but with the quality of food and service I can imagine they get very busy. Lovely restaurant and I can highly recommend, prices were also very good. Thank you Bilash for a great meal.

Ordered food from their website on a Monday, I didnt realise they were closed as the order went through and took payment, no food arrived and I saw the opening times said closed on Monday. My mistake although strange the order completed. I called the restaurant the next day to ask for a refund they said no problem. A week went by no refund, called again and they asked for the order number this time and promised a refund. It’s been over a month now and still no refund. Edit: 3 months later, multiple contacts with the restaurant, where they blame the payment vendor they used and refuse to give a refund.

We called to collect a Too Good To Go order but it had been cancelled 5 minutes previously which we hadn't seen. I was really disappointed as we had been looking forward to it all day. The guy kindly said that I could have a meal free of charge as we had been let down. He went away and prepared our meal for us. The food when we got home was beautiful, very tasty and lots of it. We're looking forward to going again in the future but next time it will be for a proper restaurant meal. Huge thank you to the team at The Bilash.

I call for a too hood to eat order but they had all gone. The guy that spoke to me was brilliant. He felt bad about me travelling 20 mins to sample their beautiful food. He took me to their immaculate kitchen and cooked me a curry that that was perfect. What a great guy and what a brilliant place to sample gorgeous traditional food. Delivery Order - Food wasn’t great but not terrible either, very hit and miss, chicken tikka masala had a weird taste which i can only relate to hot dog sausages and the 4 people who had chicken tikka curries have all had similar experiences of being stuck on the toilet all day. Keema naan didn’t have a lot of meat in it, but the wings/king prawns, pakoras were all amazing.

I had been enjoying Bilash for the last 6-9 months, however they have changed all their food. I'm assuming new management or new chef, but the food has gone from being the best in the area to the worst. Disgusting watery bright red tikka masala, keema naan removed the meat, rice rank, chicken low quality rubber... was good before, lettuce salad sent instead of onion too lol... and myself and the misses have the sh*ts. I could go on moaning but I'm bored. Won't ever eat from here again.

Went on Friday for my Son's Birthday (21st). We all had the buffet option. Fabulous food, great choice of dishes and additional sauces, side dishes, salads, desserts etc, all of excellent quality. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Thoroughly recommend, we certainly will be back.

Cancelled my order 2 weeks ago, still not received refund. Not happy, will not be returning

First time me and husband have been, was recommended by a friend. We had the buffet everything we had was beautiful there was so much to chose from the starters, to main and desserts. Staff where welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely be recommending to others and will come back again. Thank you for the great service 😊

We went early doors ( 5.30) and gad a great experience. Staff very attentive and polite. We had the banquet meal offer. Great value for money. Food was lovely. Would recommend.

Went to the Bilash today and the food is amazing the banquet deal Sunday to Thursday 17.95 for a starter I had the Kebab a main which had lamb Rogan josh and either a rice or naan I had keema naan . Service was quick and was given complimentary ice cream and Brandy and Baileys . Interior also good and comfy seating and staff very friendly

Excellent service, very friendly and welcoming. Would be even better atmosphere with traditional music as the pop music wasn't fitting with the environment at all. The food was really good and fresh. They happily catered for my intolerances and allowed us to bringbiutbown wine, they even supplied a cooler ice bucket! My wife and I really enjoyed our visit and booked for the weekend.

Lunchtime menu, started today, food was amazing, onion bhaji burger was delicious and tasty, best burger ever for me. Service was first class, nothing too much trouble, friendly happy staff. Restaurant is beautiful, and tastefully decorated, music was fab, chilled and relaxing. Amazing experience. Thank you all.

Ordered paneer masala, it was some orange sauce that was like a smoothie texture, did not taste like masala it tasted very sweet. Couldn't eat it. In the end I washed off all the sauce and made my own masala for the paneer. The wings had a funny taste which I also had to throw out. Waste of £20. Disappointing as other reviews were quite positive. There is no description advertised on the just eat app it just says paneer masala. Maybe put the description of what's contained in each dish then I can make a better decision of what to order.

Ordered a meal to be delivered at 7:50pm. Rang at 9:20pm as was told 1hr 1/2 delivery. Only to be greeted by an argument about a ‘Banana nan’ that doesn’t exist. They have tried to call me apparently 5 times to confirm that I’d got it wrong. There have been no missed calls on my friends nor my phone. When I dared to argue this point he abruptly told me he wasn’t going to argue with me and he was cancelling the order. I have now ordered from elsewhere (banana nan included), and the bilash delivery driver turned up after I was told it has been cancelled! Do not order from here. Very shocking customer service.

Had another really great meal at the Bilash tonight. Went for a family meal, excellent food and service. Extremely friendly staff, always attentive, great service.

Excellent service, very polite, swift & efficient. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Nice food especially the Tandoori lamb chops starter and tongue tingling red sauce with poppadoms.

Really enjoyed our meal. My children (10 and 12) have never been to a curry house before and both really enjoyed the food and the friendly service. The food was plentiful and tasty. We had Kormas, a Dupiaza and a Saag. All tasted great and good portion sizes. It doesn't serve beer though so remember to bring your own!

Just when you think this place couldn't do any better, after recently going into the restaurant for food and drinks, we decided to have a takeaway and wow! the food and delivery for the takeaway was second to none! Great service and fantastic food, thank you.

Decided to go for a last minute curry tonight and having driven past our first 2 choices - both being rammed we settled on The Bilash. Big mistake… No visible signs outside to say take your own drink, and alcoholic drinks still show as available on the menu? Ps. Soft drinks all priced at £3.35!! Poppadoms ok, crispy and light. Sauce & salad trays ok also, no pickle option though like other local Indians. Mains; Chicken Tikka Jeera - ok, thin sliced chicken in a nice sauce, no real heat or garlic kick though as described, sauce had no body. Quite watery. Chicken Tikka Makhani - awful, loose watery sauce laced with coconut - more like a korma, but worse. Queried this with the waiter who simply shrugged his shoulders and said ‘this is Makhani’. Chicken Tikka Masala - nice, however it wasn’t a masala by any means. It was red in colour, creamy, and again coconut, sauce was quite thick, much like a makhani should be, but certainly not a traditional tikka masala. Soggy naan bread, pilau rice and chips ok but a portion barely went between 2 people, poor for and £3 really. Sat waiting almost 15 minutes for the bill, only 3 tables including ours in the restaurant - easy to see why our first 2 choices were full and this was so quiet. Overall experience very poor, won’t be going back.

Do not use. Waste of space. Will take your money but won’t accept your order. Then the attitude of everyone is disgusting. Swearing and kicking off on the phone. DO NOT USE!!!!

Excellent service. First time visiting with kids before Christmas. We were made to feel really special. Lots of free extras were thrown in, which made us feel really welcome and the food was excellent. We will be back. No doubt.

Meal for 2 at The Bilash and honestly couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and quick to be served. Would recommend to anyone who loves authentic cuisine. Regular customer but thought I’d try something different. I had the Sam’s Special Bhuna with Nan and Pilau rice. Absolutely fantastic- amazing value and tasted fantastic!! Just found my new favourite. Top job!! 👍🏻

Food really good, although I did order a delivery which took more than 2 hours, when I phoned the restaurant to ask what the delay was my answer was what do u want me to do about it!!!! The customer service was shocking and the attitude I gone was beyond belief! I wouldn't mind but I use the regularly, won't use again that's for sure

We have just returned to the area after 5 years and visited the Bilash. What a great meal, the food and the staff were superb. We will definitely return.

Foods ok on the occasion have received it , however there just eat performance is hopeless, order then 20 mins later you get a order cancelled message , happened more than twice now so time to use one of the other 30 Indians in Rugeley

Waited 2 hours for our meal. When it arrived we ate our free starters. We then tucked in to the main to find we had no rice. By then it was too late to request the rice in a reasonable time as i spent 10 minutes attempting to call the restaurant with the phone ringing off the hook. Really disappointed in this place and we won't be ordering again!

We went for the first time last night and all four of us had a lovely meal. The curries were beautifully presented and very tasty. Everything was really fresh. My husband didn’t fancy a curry so had a steak. We will definitely be back … maybe you could extend your vegetarian menu and then it would be even better 😀

It's probably the best Bangladeshi food in the area.With a renowned chef,with 30yrs plus experience,his food is 2nd to none.The owner will do nothing short of making your dining experience the best you'll ever have.The decor of the restaurant is very soothing you won't be disappointed.

Excellent quality food as well as top notch service both times I've ordered. For a recent birthday dinner I ordered a starter, main, and naan through their website/Bookyup all before they opened with a delivery request for 6pm that evening. Meal arrived on time to the minute, spoke to a friendly guy who handled cash payment quickly and easily at the door. Meal was delicious and I would very much recommend them.

On Sun 4th Dec went online and ordered a meal from Bilash Abbots Bromley (same company). Paid £37. Got a message an hour or so later saying order declined yet money was taken. Eventually got a phone no and spoke to a manager who informed me that the Abbots Bromley branch had closed. Therefore, why did they take my order and money. Have lost the money, they won't refund. Had a nasty phone call from the manager who insisted the money had been refunded into my account the same day. After speaking to PayPal and my bank they confirmed that they did refund the £37 by echeque however that was declined due to insufficient funds in their account. Luckily, PayPal at now going to sort it. The dam cheek of it is the manager told me never to order from them again........as if!!!!!!!

This is the worst Indian I have ever had as a delivery. When ordering online it said 35-40 minutes, I then get an email to say it will be 80 minutes, after 2 phone calls to the restaurant, which both times were not helpful and used poor excuses of why it was late, 2 hours 15 minutes later food finally arrives and it was dreadful. The popadoms were stale and tasted like they had been out for 3 days prior. I ordered a garlic Nan bread and it came as plain and cold!! And our dhansak was the spiciest thing I’ve ever tasted. This curry is supposed to be mild, my husband who loves spice was even struggling!! Take my advise and do not order from here!!!! To top it off that’s £30 down the drain!!

Decided to order a take away from The Bilash, as had previously eaten in and found the food lovely. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Ordered a chicken tikka bhuna, but it was the blandest curry I’ve ever tasted. The chicken appeared to have a red marinade but there was no flavour whatsoever. It was simply chicken in a tomato sauce but even Heinz Ketchup has a fuller flavour than what was on my plate. I certainly won’t be placing another order here any time soon.

Great food, generous portions and very friendly and generous staff

We asked for a specific time slot an hour and a half in advance so that we’d have time to put our kids to bed first, which was disregarded and it turned up 30 minutes early whilst we were putting the kids to bed. The food way tepid on arrival and really lacked flavour, on the whole a big disappointment. We won’t be using this restaurant again.

Visited for the first time recently. Friendly welcome from staff. Very nice table settings. Food arrived promptly. Quality of food was very good. I usually use a Tikka Masala for a bench mark when visiting a new restaurant and the Bilash served up an excellent example. We chose the three courses deal and we're very pleased with all dishes. Staff attentive but not overpowering. Restaurant is licensed a plus in my opinion. Will recommend to friends. A special mention to the young man who opened the door for us on leaving. He was very smart and obviously has a promising future career in hospitality.

Noticed the Bilash was doing a midweek 3 course deal plus I’d heard good reports recently so thought I’d give it a go. I always have the Chicken chaat starter wherever I go because it is always really tasty but this version was quite bland and disappointing. Opted for the Lamb Jeera main course but, again, this didn’t tingle my taste buds plus the meat was overcooked & a bit rubbery. Only good point really was the Keema Nan was very nice.

By far the best restaurant of its type in Rugeley. Far superior service, ambiance and quality of food. Would recommend the staff special and the biryani.

The quality of food is good however there seems to be a bit of meeting point at the bar area for some of the local lads (could be delivery drivers). Still worth a visit!

Food is delicious and very well presented. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food is spicy, so go one level down from what you would normally have. Would definitely recommend.

I can safely say this was the worst curry i have had the displeasure of tasting. i had high expectations as i entered as i won't lie the interior and service was outstanding however the most important part of a meal is the food and this is where we were let down. I wasn't sure what i was actually tasting as it was like no other masala i have tasted before as it was extremely sweet and unbearable and the prawns were like deep fried curly fries. The best part of the meal was LEAVING. 1/5

First time visiting the Bilash. I have to say I will definitely be returning! From start to finish everything was bang on ... The staff are very friendly ..the restaurant is lovely and most of all the food was delicious ...all 4 of our group loved it ! ...Also handed us complimentary drinks to finish....Thanks guys So I'm posting this 8 weeks from our first visit .. because we had such a great meal first time round we have been back every week since and have to say they just keep on getting better ! Tried something different every week and seriously getting addicted to there food !! THIS PLACE IS A MUST !!

Ordered tonight through the just eat app. Food came 15 early. Foods fantastic and really hot loads of freebies too . proper bang on highly recommend best Indian inrugeley .
