Excellent service fantastic food

This is my local Indian takeaway and it is honestly the best, I think I've tried at least 10 other places when I've been in different areas and around swinton and none have been as good as the Bilash. The food is always tasty and super hot.

Went for a curry just recently 4 of us in total, we were seated quickly it was busy that evening, we sat down and shortly after 1 of the staff passed through with the trolley and pushed it into the back of my chair shouting I had to push my chair in, I told him I also had to breathe and I was in as much as possible HE WAS SO RUDE AND HIS ATTITUDE STANK.......... I asked to be moved to another table as there was no space...... we we're told there are no more tables even though there were several empty tables at this point......... I had to move my chair around to the corner of the table in front of the fire exit just so we had enough room at the table......we we're served our food very quickly and this felt like we we're being rushed, hence we won't be spending our money there again.......Ever

the atmosphere here is very very kind and hospitable, the workers here are very lovely and kind and you can already tell the food here is delicious before tasting it!!!!!

Always meet up with friends there for a Curry. Gluten Free food is possible, ask your server. I am a Coeliac and never had a problem there, always had Poppadum and the chutneys..... but avoid Bhajis, Samosas, Naans and Chapatis.......simples!!!

Got chicken madras and the chicken was like rubber could not eat this, also got tandoori starter which was mostly bone , use to be a good place not anymore gone down hill 2nd disappointing meal from this place in the last year , time to find somewhere else 😞

If you order a chicken curry They now cut your chicken into child size portions giving the illusion of lots when your getting half the amount you use to get,. Sin since gave them another chance tonight ordered chicken madras poppadoms, this place used to be so nice not anymore the chicken tonight was like rubber could not eat also got a tandoori starter which was mostly bone I'm completely forgot to give me my poppadoms , gone downhill over the last year don't bother

Nice atmosphere, good food, competitively priced

This is Indian food? No its really not. Nothing like it. I had a curry that looked like an art project, the colour was just out of this world. I tasted 4 dishes and each was just a slightly different colour. Travelled Asia for 25 years, how embarrassed I was to take myself to this place.

Party of 24 for a special occasion. Food was served to us all hot and swiftly . Beautiful food ,great service ,all staff were friendly, helpful and dressed smartly . Thank you for everything. You made a sad occasion a lovely one .

Enjoyed a great curry, our group had chicken tikka masala, dopiaza, madras and a mixture of starters. Would also highlight the incredible peshwari naan. The service was fairly quick, and can’t fault the value as the portion sizes were good. Overall we would definitely recommend .

Not been to the Bilash for over twenty years, the food and service was excellent then as it is now! They managed to accommodate six guys ranging from 22 to 86 years old, just as a walk in at on a busy Saturday evening. Curries and cold Cobra all round, lads? Sure was! What a place, I loved it. Can't fault one thing about this place. Always a warm welcome from Mr Khan the manager, and his staff are really friendly too. Food is excellent, large portions, and really tasty 😋

I don’t know if I read other comments correctly given for the same place, but having had food three times at this place, I am afraid I found it with the worst quality of food you can find anywhere. I joined my colleagues to dine here three times and every time I did I ended up poorly. I didn’t find their food fresh, the meat was overcooked and microwaved along with the curry sauces. The rice was totally dry and only microwaved which came in small plates that you could tell weren’t washed and cleaned thoroughly, but nearly thrown at the table rather than being served. Popadoms were microwaved and although some were burned they still brought them to the table perhaps to take advantage of big group of conveniently beverage consuming guests. The waiters hygiene could be questionable as some were smelling of body sweat which was disgusting specially when they were trying to stretch over your head passing dishes to the other side of table. I did give this place the most benefits of doubt and went three times over the past 18 months to now protest against it and not joining them for our curry nights anymore.

This place is underrated, cheap and massive portions, really tasty! Best tandoori chicken I’ve had from an Indian takeaway.

Go here all the time for a take away and never had a bad meal. You can see the chefs cooking infront of you. Everything’s spotless and so fresh. Staff are friendly aswell

Fantastic food and service, very busy sometimes , which is a good thing

Not the place it was, new chef maybe!! My chicken vindaloo was a very hot thick paste (very unusual) my son's chicken Bhuna zero taste (Bhuna should be one of the tastiest curries) only decent meal was tandoori fish Most of customers were quite drunk so don't really notice the quality of food they are eating, I however, only had one drink and I am 100% sure they have changed chef. Think il give it a miss from now on.

Visit to Bilash last night for birthday celebration. Food was excellent, customer service was friendly,efficient and professional. Good atmosphere. Busy place. Best curry i have had for a while. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice meal here. Everything was lovely. Poppadums nice, lovely bhajis, chicken tikka and Sheek kebab. Curry delicious. Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Would return. Tried to come here on a Saturday night but was absolutely jam packed so I’d recommend booking in advance. Came back the Sunday and got a table.

Food was lovely we all had different food and it all came out at the same time. Service was great i would recommend to family and friends.

Starter of onion bajis and mains of Chicken Tikka Masala both of zero taste to them. The mains was slightly warm and Chicken tasted like it was only just been cooked. Only a few peices of chicken in a lot of tasteless red sauce. Had better currys in weatherspoons. Felt rough later that night and the next day.

Definitely changed chefs we have been eating here for years and something has changed nice Currys still but you can get a nice curry anywhere really, but this place used to be the best I don't know what's happened but it's just not the same, sooo disappointed

My step daughter told us about this place so we went to try it and it did not disappoint. Four of us went on a Saturday early evening. We were sat and served really quickly. The staff are amazing, some of the best waiters I've seen in a long time. The food is delicious, piping hot. People were queuing waiting for tables a testimont to it's popularity. We all had starters and mains and a couple of rounds of drinks and it came in at less than 25 quid each. Really good value, high quality food. I would definitely go again.

First time eating here. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was quick and efficient. I had a Chicken Madras, which was hot and plentiful, but not very tasty. Not up to the standard I'm used to.

Fantastic food great atmosphere the staff are really fast and polite and the place is spotless ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏻 Three course meal and a pint of cobra 🍺 for £25 quid. Recommend tandoori nixed grill . Be going back. 👍🏻

If you've not eaten here you should , if your thinking about it don't!! Just do it like Nike, you won't be disappointed.from the price to the quality if food it's great value and great food.the best I've had in a ping time .

Loved the food and also the hospitality. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Glad we took a reservation for a Friday night. It was busy and if we hadn't taken a reservation, we couldn't have made it. Food came a little later than expected and quite understandable as it was a busy night for them. Food was really tasty and well presented. I felt like the prices were fair as compared to other restaurants. Only negative about it is parking. Customers has to park in the street in front and that'll be always fully occupied. Would recommend it to my friends as well.

Terrible meal, nothing positive I can say about the Bilash Halti House, poppadoms with the accompanying dips and spiced, rubbish, the chicken pakora's were enormous, all batter and grease and very little chicken, the main, portion was very small and a bit bland. I can make a better Indian meal myself.

I go here all the time with my friend, but after tonight I will not be going back . Our starter got given to someone else Then when we did get it wasn't cooked properly 😒 Our main was cold 🥶 Was really busy If can't cope with the busy buissness then shouldn't allow so many people in Got rushed out as only wanted payment Which wasn't the best service They was all running around which understand when busy but 1st you should take care of your customers They should always come 1st Not about rushing people and getting orders wrong What a waste of an evening 😒 So disappointed tonight

the food was really tasty but, for an indian was quite pricey. the staff were friendly however we’re rushing us quite a bit and there is no parking! we had to park at the mcdonald’s which is around 4-5 mins away.

This place is my favourite Indian. The staff are extremely pleasant, polite, friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. My favourite meal is Tandoori mix sizzler I always swap for a Masala sauce instead of vegetable which is no problem. The food comes excellently presented, hot and extremely tasty.

One of if not the best Indian restaurant in Swinton. Lovely friendly staff which gives a real sense of family owned, wide range of food options for all tastes and if you want something slightly different they will always try and help. Good selection of drinks to accompany your curry. Usually a complementary short drink is offered with your bill. Good value for money and takeaway options available

Shocking service , told staff the chicken madras did taste like curry and too tomatoes and no spice only to be ignored by two waiters. Wouldn't change the curry or offer any alternatives , said we eaten it when clearly we hadn't and one of us was sharing. We also complained to the manager who didn't wanna know and started to argue.

another incredible mean at our favourite eatery in salford. even adding a bottle of bubbly didn't break the bank. the food, as ever, was fantastic n the guys were their usual happy, efficient n friendly selves as they served everyone their food.

Very rushed service. Didn’t ask if we wanted drinks or popadoms and when we had asked with starters, they brought everything at once despite saying no rush. They brought out the wrong starters and then came back with one missing. Chutnies were very bland. We ordered the shahi and a madras and it was just tomato and salt. The Bombay aloo was not palatable with a sour taste. Naan bread was nice and soft but had a pool of oil in the middle. Service was friendly which made it somewhat ok but I’m there for the food and that’s what my review is based on.

Nice Indian I like what they’ve done with the takeaway to the side of the restaurant big screen tv with sport to watch while waiting for food. The food itself is delicious and service from the guys there is excellent!

Visited tonight for the first time and really enjoyed it. The staff where all friendly and smiling, one taking the time to chat with my son (12) and compliment him on his choice of curry! We had the mixed tandoori grill, which was plenty big and delicious, great veg curry sauce and salad with it. My son had Keema Methi, and we shared three massive naans. We will definitely be coming back to try more things.

Food is nice I will stand by that however staff taking the mick and laughing at customers is disgusting behavior I think they need staff taught in customer service. Staff talking about customers in a foreign language is disrespectful.

What a fantastic restaurant, been serving customers for years with great food and with a customer service that is excellent. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced.

Knowing the restaurant is well established and what a good reputation it has, we booked in as a group for a birthday celebration. Staff appeared to be very stressed and not very friendly either. Some of the group had starters which were passable, nothing special. The mains took approx 45 mins to arrive, which was served in a manner that can only be described as chucked out at you as quick as possible. Again the staff appeared stressed and unfriendly. After waiting some considerable time, no staff attempted to ask us if we would like the bill. Eventually one of our party got up to collect it. Again, when we were given the bill, no staff appeared for at least 15 mins to settle the bill, had to get up and do it ourselves. Very disappointed both with the food, which in the past has been amazing here, and also the lack of care and attention by the staff. Would be unlikely to return which is a shame.

I have to say I have never had a greeting quite like it. We were made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the bar tender, who continued to swear and complain and refused to serve us drinks whilst we waited for a table as he was completely overwhelmed. Some of the language was absolutely appalling and the people stood next to us were too afraid to even ask for drinks. It would be unfair not to mention that the food and the rest of the staff were really lovely, but with a welcome like that we wouldn't return, nor recommend it to others. Such a shame!

We visited Bilash after a recommendation from our nephew. Service was good however the food was really, really disappointing. Not what I would expect from a restaurant. We have only been the once and don't think we will return again unfortunately.

I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a young man and this is by far the best always excellent service and staff are always happy always welcoming and friendly and get to no each person who come to eat and drink I can not wait for it to reopen I will be first at the door iv just ordered for myself and family we all can not get enough and good quality food and good price for how much u get

Everyone’s favourite Indian restaurant didn’t disappoint!We chose off the midweek menu which is excellent value. Chicken tikka and lamb tikka starters were tasty and a good portion.For mains we had Lamb Saag and mixed meat Balti with boiled and Kashmiri rice...which we’d never had before but really enjoyed. It was unusual with mango (I think) and grapes mixed in but a nice contrast to the spice. Service was spot on. The guys are really friendly and attentive.

Very busy restaurant but kept informed all time we for waiting for table. Food was excellent and cost was unbelievably cheap.

I have seen mixed reviews about this curry house, but after having visited many times in the past couple of months, we haven’t had a bad meal yet. My wife especially enjoys the Chicken Karahi, never disappointed

I've been going to the Balti House for years, as have most people who have lived locally for a long time. It is the only place worth going for a proper curry, great beer, and simply the best service around.I'm genuinely shocked to read so many negative reviews on here when I have only ever had positive experiences at the Balti House. A firm favourite for over 20 years.

I visit here all the time and have tried most dishes . I really like the food and the staff will recommend dishes if you are not sure what to have . They are so flexible and will make you something that’s not on the menu if you can’t find what you are looking for. The food price is really reasonable as well as the price of drinks . Most drinks are £2.50 . You also get a complimentary drink when you pay your bill . Great for kids . Relaxed atmosphere . Always busy

We came for a nice family meal for my partner to have a red hot starter dropped on his arm which put us totally off the rest of the meal will not be coming to this restaurant again was not even put into any accident book or given any first aid was given a hot towel to put on a burn

Found this place by chance on a business trip to the area and had an early evening meal. Great menu choices so we tried some different dishes and the food was excellent. Service was great with really friendly and attentive staff who cared about your experience. Extra little touches made this a very enjoyable meal. Super value for money too. It was obvious that they had a lot of repeat local custom which is a good sign.

Serving quality Indian food for 3 decades is quite a achievement. Excellent food with exceptional service always guaranteed. Highly Recommend.

You won’t get better Indian food anywhere else in Manchester I assure you. The food is always stunning and the place itself is hustling and bustling whatever day of the week we visit. Exceptional food, great staff, great price for super tasty food! You MUST visit this place! Oh and the poppadom tray mix is to die for!

Our local curry house must have Been 12 + times staff are friendly and always have a laugh. The quality of the food is outstanding for the money you pay - particularly like the special starter, prawn or king prawn chatt and the jalfrezi, only item I’m not a fan off is the lamb chops, can not wait to go again

Excellent food staff are friendly and very good value for money. We dine here once a fortnight and the food is always great. My son and myself love curry.

The staff are great and the Cobra cheap but it stops there. The restaurant is dark & dingy. Needs a good spruce up. Starters OK. The mains, the sauces were good but the quality of the chicken was dubious. I know I will upset a few people as this appears to be a popular place. Sorry but the food came well short of the many curry houses we go to. As to value for money, there are far better deals about & for me better quality.

If any new restaurants starting up want to know how to do it right, they need to visit here for hospitality lessons. The restaurant and takeaway were packed to the rafters last night yet the staff were still cool, calm polite, efficient and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble... service was quick, food was wonderful, prices really reasonable!

Nice food but expensive . either that or I was charged wrongly .when I tried to ask the man on the desk he was very rude..there was 4 of us who wanted to pay separately .he found this a big deal ...people do pay separately .people eat and drink more than others .my friend had a bowl of chips where as I had starter curry sauce rice chips nan came to 22 pounds which is expensive..ie.reasons we pay separately..the guy had a terrible attitude very rude ..you can see he was very stressed as the restaurant was very busy .infact chaoes ....everyone is crammed in on top of everyone not a relaxing environment anyway .fair to say won't return again.shame because food is nice .just far to hetic and expensive

Best Curry in Salford,staff are so welcoming and if it’s sitting in or getting a take out can’t beat this place I go here every Saturday evening and will never change
