Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

I came here some time ago but was put off by the poor coffee and all the large bins around it. These have gone, and the current management offer a real welcome, delicious food and drinks at very reasonable prices. An array of gorgeous cakes and scones tempts you, and tasty snacks /sandwiches are made to order. Service is very pleasant and friendly. Nice touch - a little pair of scissors accompanies those sauce sachets that are impossible to open. Definitely worth a visit (every day)

I ordered a takeaway afternoon tea, so we could picnic with friends. OMG it was the most phenomenonal box of delights I have ever had for an afternoon tea! Anything else now pales into comparison and I don't think I could do afternoon tea anywhere else. I ordered for 3 and could barely carry it to the car there was so much! There was such a variety of savory and sweet. Brilliant range of sandwich fillings, the bread wasn't your bog standard either and delicious in its own right. There were cheeses, pickles, sausages, sausage rolls... Will definitely be going back again and again, absolutely bargain for the quality and amount of food!

Came here today with my 7 month old daughter and my mum. When we arrived they had only just opened so we’re first people there. We had two hot drinks and a slice of cake. It took at least 10 minutes to get everything, when my hot chocolate arrived it was nothing more than hot milk. I asked if I could have some more chocolate in it and it was brought back even hotter with still no more chocolate in it. Cake was lovely. I did feel an inconvenience for having a pushchair and baby. Won’t be coming back

absolute wonderful little cafe that is a hidden gem through and through - great local produce , excellent home cooked food and drink and great banter from staff and customers alike , incredible friendly place to visit and dog friendly what more do you want - the only thing i would like to see is the staff going a little bit slower and not getting so flustered with the lunch time rush - the staff that run this place do amazing upkeep and maintenance of this cafe and are just so welcoming and accepting to everyone. if you are a local or popping into spilsby for a family visit or a quick pit stop you got to stop here - this place is available for dining in but is more suited to grab and go especially if its full

We have recently found ourselves living near Spilsby so generally come into the town a couple of times a week and always come here for a drink and bite to eat. The food really is great whether you have a snack or cake, it’s always top class. Staff are friendly and prices very reasonable. As the name suggests there’s not a lot of space so be prepared to either eat outside or come back later. An absolute gem.

We are very happy that Bijoux has reopened, and that we can again enjoy great cake, coffee and hospitality here. I visited this wonderful tea/coffee shop on a grey afternoon on January 28th. I had the most sumptuous and delicious vanilla dusted scone with lemon and ginger tea. Whilst I ate this I gazed in awe at beautiful home-baked vanilla and chocolate Victoria sponges that seemed to cascade over the counter directly into my gaze amidst countless other mouth-watering delights! Wonderful service by two lovely ladies (one of whom the owner), who couldn't do enough to help me (deciding which scone/cake was a big decision!). Spotlessly clean, immensely affordable, and amazing artwork decorating the walls. Surely one of spilsby's best kept secrets!!

Been in this tiny cafe a few times. It’s nicely decorated with great artwork on the walls (for sale). It is very small and cramped so when it’s busy it’s not the most comfortable. Have only experienced coffees and cake - but these have been good. Our criticism would be that staff seem to ignore you when you arrive if they’re already busy making drinks, etc. A cheery ‘hello’, ‘be with you in a moment’ would be more welcoming.

Popped in for a light bite and a coffee mid afternoon. A pleasant ambience and decor and a warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Coffee very good and a wide variety of cakes and lite bites most of which I would guess appear made on the establishment. Looks like an ideal little cafe, counter, laiden with homebaked temptations, numerous chalkboard offers with tiny scripted offerings. Sadly the attitude of staff was unengaging as though they didn't want to be there. Food was uninspiring, sliced pork had dried out, maybe they were getting ready to close up. When I went to pay, I was told 'it's cash only', (no signs to indicate or advice upon ordering) . I had to walk to the Lloyds Bank cash ATM to withdraw cash. The bill came to £10.90 no attempt to offer apologies for the inconvenience. Very disappointed but I believe this is another example of a rural town business not being supported by Banks Lloyds Bank is to close in Spilsby on 12/11/19. I do hope the constructive criticism will be received in good faith, as there is much potential.

Have to disagree with a recent review, a lovely cafe with great food, such a pity that Veolia put the bins of the Step In Pizza on the public pavement outside, not great, but a shame the town council don't tidy up the area better, the car park is very handy as there is an hours free parking, just time to pop in for a great latte and hot pork roll with stuffing - delicious

We were directed here from the pub across the road as we were looking for somewhere dog-friendly; there is a sign by the counter stating 'all our friends have paws.' The place is tiny and I was amazed how they manage to turn out such tasty food in such a small space. If I could give 10 stars for the scrambled eggs, I would. They were light and fluffy and a generous portion. I don't know how many other cafe's get such a simple dish so badly wrong. One of our party had the Welsh Rarebit, and I really wished I had done so when it arrived; it was pretty much perfect. Spilsby is a very quiet Lincolnshire town on the edge of the Wolds and frankly not the sort of place I would expect to find high quality baked goods - shows that I can be wrong. The Bijoux is a tiny cafe at one end of the High Street , specialising in light lunches and snacks. So far so ordinary. It is lifted to great heights however by the superb quality of its home made cakes. I tried the chocolate brownie and my wife had the fruit cake. Both were superb examples of their type. The fruitcake had been matured over three years! More sherry than cake really while the brownie had chunks of melted chocolate embedded in it. On a second visit my wife tried the toasted tea cake which came properly served - that is to say with the butter already spread and melted in. This, in our opinion, is the only way to serve a teacake. On our third visit we had a light lunch. The menu lists a great variety of panninis, toast based foods etc but we tried the special - hot roasted pork in a roll with stuffing and apple sauce. The meat was incredibly tender and melted in the mouth while the roll was light, fluffy and just plain gorgeous.

We enjoyed an evening meal for 6 when staying locally. The dinner was a suprise for one of the party and we appreciated Bijoux's help in arranging this. We took up half of this tiny, quirky restaurant, but had attentive personal service from first contact through to the serving of the meal. Caroline the chef (who also does event catering), prepared great food which everyone enjoyed. We were able to adapt the menu in advance and little requests were catered for. We had fish/seafood sharing platters to start and a dessert medley/cheese board sharing platter to finish. The portions were generous and because we ate too many olives/delicious bread selection before the starters we were a bit too full to do the meal proper justice - so be warned! There is no licence for alcohol but we were welcome to take our own. This was great because we drank what we preferred and didn't have to pay restaurant mark-ups. The menu prices were very fair for the standard of food. It is not a huge menu which is a plus, because what is available is done well. Alistair who served us was very friendly yet professional and we felt like VIPs! Our only disappointment was that we didn't make it back again during our stay for a light lunch or cake and coffee at least, Bijoux really is a little jewel in Spilsby's crown. Firstly, the address is 44 High Street, but the premises are actually facing onto the market square and not among the premises in the main High Street. Secondly, the premises are TINY, really teensy and cramped: probably not much bigger than my own kitchen at home. The lady serving was very polite and friendly although we had to wait for a while to be served. Having looked at the photographs on the Tripadvisor reviews we had intended to try a piece of cake, but unfortunately the cakes on offer, under cloches, all looked as though they had actually been sitting in exactly that spot since the photographs had been taken - they all looked extremely dry. We therefore just ordered coffee which we had outside at one of the tables just outside the cafe. The coffee was fine (nothing exceptional) and the price was reasonable. Certainly we will not be making another special trip to sample the cakes, coffee or ambience.

We stopped for lunch whilst passing through Spilsby. I ordered a sausage sandwich but the owner persuaded me to have the haslet which was just out of the oven on that morning's cornbread. What a splendid lunch. My wife had an equally yummy roast beef panini. The only downside of the carrot cake pud (served with cream and chocolate sauce) was that I had to share it. We spent a very relaxing hour chatting to the owner- easily done as the cafe is tiny- and recharging before continuing our journey. This is a new venture and we wish them the best of luck, on this showing they deserve it.

An unassuming little place that offers a friendly welcome and excellent, attentive service. It's got a cosy, slightly bio/eco feeling with very interesting plants and an insect hotel outside the door. Menu is limited but more than adequate for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nice music playing unobtrusively in the background too. A really great touch is their bottomless cup for tea or coffee. Blink and you'll miss this place as you drive along the busy and fast A52 between Boston and Skegness. It's on a cross-roads just after the main Friskney village turn-off travelling NE. But DON'T miss it because it really is a worthwhile pit-stop. Opposite, down the lane towards the Wash, there is some brilliant wild walking.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back

Enjoyed my full English breakfast here. I've just sold my cafe/bar and relocated from Kent and decided to check out Louth. I'd definitely return and have more refreshments at Tina's cafe. Real butter ( on the side of toast) just as it should be. Friendly service, good value grub...... Thank you Joe x
