BigTaste in Derby

If anyone can tell me why goat curry is just pure oil as I've tried calling with no answer at all! The only thing that was nice were the dumplings and it takes some kind of special to mess that up.

The worst chicken ive ever had i had the bbq chicken meal didn't know if the so called chicken was actually chicken or a mole rat for what it looked like. Wouldn't feed my dog this monstrosity of a meal.

Went in and saw them charge the guy in front of me £5 for white rice and when questioned he just asked him Do you want it or not? So I walked out as I found that disrespectful

New management but food still as good

Feeling ripped off, such a small portion, half to what I expected. Go to Dunns River down the road in Peartree, you get a full container same size full of rice and peas, another container the same full of stewed chicken and a side of steam veg. Still hungry. Good job I live close to a KFC. Really disappointed, won’t go again.

Would love to support the community but it's difficult when you're overcharged, given less than Al a carte portions and bad service to match

Oh my goodness!! I want to eat this food every single day. Travelled from Leicester to eat here, and it was so worth it. 100% authentic taste and great variety. Extremely friendly and warm service... Cannot recommend highly enough. Ackee and saltfish, festival and plantain was super tasty, hot and cooked fresh.

Excellent food good quality and service

Myself and my husband have just eaten curried goat rice & peas...it was absolutely delicious! Also the staff on the phone & delivery driver were very polite and pleasant. Truly recommend Big Taste.

Delivery service was fast, food was hot, tasty and well cooked. Dumplings were fluffy and not dense and the jerk chicken and its gravy has to be one of the best in Derby.

Just passing through derby, I'm from London and am spoiled for Jamaican food, I had curried goat and I'll say it was the best I have had at a price I have never seen, proper tasty food and plenty of meat not just bone, I only wish I had ordered the larger size, also girl in the shop can SING trust me, I would be bankrupt if I lived here it's that good.

What a lunch i have had from this lovely place, the food was awsome, well presented taste was just spot on, im a big fan of Caribbean food but BIG TASTE have realy proved to me that by far they are way ahead of there competitors. Keep up the good work and see you soon..

Always great food and not expensive

Ordered oxtail butter beans and rice and peas plus fried dumpling as an extra never got the fried dumpling in meal.

Good value for money food,cooked to your liking ,eat in or takeaway, a varied menu satisfy even the fussiest of diners.

I used to buy fried chicken here, however had one episode of an extremely rude old man there that was serving, that acted like he was doing me a favour when I bought a meal there. Decided to never go again
