Fish tasted chewy and batter was way too greasy and salty, the chips were terrible, tasted like it was cooked I old oil

Kebab portions are ridiculously small and asked for extra sauce but got very little.

Had a very bad experience in this restaurant. Ordered chicken wings and a pizza. Food quality is very bad - both was full of oily ( can assume that the chicken was re- fried again an again ) Pizza- same like the chicken too much oily. For wipe our oily hands they don’t have even tissues. Price was cheap as well as the food also cheap. Think twice before you buying.

Garlic bread is literally grey & I don’t know how, Never ever ever any salt & vinegar on the chips & the chicken is so dry but alhamdulilah

I had SFC panini meal deal £5 can't fault the panini nicely done big piece chicken inside chips were okay a bit greasy for my liking eating area run down and messy only you find alot beggars outside and inside the places unfortunately for the customer whilst eating their food apart from that if you coming for the food cheap and cheerful price just for fast food it okay seating area some needs replacing by the way if you seat facing the window you got nice view of drug up people begging for their next fix boy miss old Birmingham city centre when we didn't have this problem welcome to second city class is gone to pan big time going back to food Big John fast food cheap and cheerful for the customers during a cost of living crisis and finally i can't fault the desi kid service me no issues there kid got manner for fast food places wasn't impressed with bog standards Donner meat just awful lack any taste

foods all squashed and such food should not be delivered on a bike should have then delivered in a normal car so really disappointed since everything's squashed

I recently visited this shop and had a very disappointing experience. The 10-piece bucket of fried chicken was dry and lacked freshness, and the fries were cold and similarly dry. Additionally, there were no restroom facilities available for customers, which was inconvenient. The seating was also in poor condition, with several chairs showing visible signs of wear and tear. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to others, as it does not provide good value for the price charged.

Ordered two pizzas, they were squashed into really small boxes which was rather disappointing.

So basically I always went to Bigjhons in Westbrowm and lawley Middleway their atmosphere is 10/10 I was in Birmingham town so went to this bigjhons but I was so disappointed First of all seats were ripped my kids didn’t wanna sit there . Staff was okaish Food wasn’t like Bigjhons I Donno it didn’t tast like Bigjhons Then there was a drunk guy going here and their talking shit & swearing could have harmed anyone he would go and sit on there serving table staff didn’t do anything about it wouldn’t like to sit there and eat . After all this experience I wouldn’t go back there . 👎👎👎

This particular branch is absolutely awful. The seats are all ripped up, exposing the filler in the seats. There was an altercation between 2 men who came into Big Johns a few days ago, they were swearing at each other and pacing around the store, 1 of the guys was saying "ill punch you right now". I was absolutely terrified. I informed staff who watched behind the counter and didn't do anything! The stupid door isn't allowed to be closed, so you are sitting in this freezing cold temperature inside eating. They put the prices up, but the quality of the food is rubbish. Asked for chicken kebab and chips, hardly any chicken kebab, but more chips (its cheaper for them) and plenty of salad! The SEATING NEEDS TO URGENTLY BE REPAIRED! The damn door fixed. I was eating my food a guy came up to me asking me for a quid. I dont carry cash on me. I try to help the homeless whenever i can, but the truth is, whenever I go here i get it every time! I will never come to this establishment again. Its absolutely awful.

As someone who works in the food service industry, the service at this restaurant is absolutely vile. The workers are rude even if you speak to them with kindness, they always get orders wrong and then say they can’t do anything when you request the order to be fixed. Clearly no one has any idea what’s going on and they don’t have any sort of professionalism.

Undercooked pizza and they rip you off when you ask for extra chips and can. They add a meal deal on to your bill and charge you extra. When you complain they don't care. Avoid. FSA should take a look

Big John’s Main City Center is extremely dirty. The chairs are torn, and the floor has not been mopped or cleaned. Not a good place to sit peacefully and eat

Was missing chips and meat in Kebab is cold and not a lot there

Very bad experience. The delivery man couldn’t find the mail box in Birmingham!!! We spent over 1/2 an hour on the phone directing him. He left the delivery in a safe place and just eat refused to refund.,

Don’t bother getting food here, they’ll get your order wrong every time. Ordered nuggets and chips, have come home to wings and chips. Ordered a pizza slice and chips and the pizza slice was missing in the box. Terrible customer service, clearly don’t know how to take orders correctly.

Attention when paying by card. After ordering and paying with a debit card (signature card), it was claimed that the payment was not accepted. I then paid the bill in cash. However, the amount was still deducted from my card. So it's best to pay cash there. It is even better to stay away. The taste is not a feast for the palate. There are definitely better fast food places.

Food was slow and then not available so had to re choose then came and not nice at all and they had no toilets available and advices to use a different food service place across the road

Cheap, but disgusting food. Chips were tastless and looked so sad, chicken wings were horrible, the meat might have been expired for months. Probably the worst food I ever ate.

Been 2 days ago,with own my own eyes seen a small mice run across the kitchen,while i was giving my order to the till staff,completely shocked,didn’t bother telling they guy at the till because he will saying i lying this and that,avoid this big johns!!!

Absolutely disgusting masala fish which was slimey and covered in chilli to cover up the smell, complained to customer services who asked for the photo then didn't reply!!

Absolutely disgusting! The plugs on the wall are hanging off, none of the seating is stable, the toilet is full of mould and they didn't have half the stuff we wanted in stock. I had to change my order twice and when they finally gave me my food, it was undercooked!

Food has gone down hill since I last dined here few years ago. And what shocked me the most was they knly allow fizzy drinks from the machine with the meals and not even a water.... how can you force someone to drink a fizzy sugar drink when they want water???? I wouldn't mind but it's not like it's volvic or evian, it was just the cheap water from Costco and they still said NO only fizzy drink..... shocking

Customer service poor, food cold, milkshake watery. People hassling us for money not once but twice whilst we were seated, which seems to be the thing in that part of the city. Will not visit again and would not recommend.

Expected a lot from them especially after reading their article in the news recently. The chips were never ending and the burger was sort of OK. The server didn't even gave proper napkins to clean up after the meal. Also the fact there were a couple of vagrants asking for spare change and food inside the shop, which was quite annoying. They should have been restricted outside the area.

Ordered chicken from this place and got food poisoning and all that came with it. When this place first opened, it was very good; since then it has gone rapidly downhill in terms of quality, hygiene and customer service. If you value your health, avoid at all costs. The mere sight of the place is just grim!

the order was let down by the delivery driver not the restaurant. the driver did not have capacity to carry the large order and cancelled on us meaning i had to go collect the order which was already over an hour late from initial delivery time. disappointing but the food was great

This place is a joke u went in with missus n kids ciz they wanted a pizza 🍕 there inly 2 amd 3 missis asked for the pizza slice and chips thats on display the guy then tell her sorry this isn't in the menu I said what a pizza isn't on the menu at the same time there cutting and making pizza lmao I told him no got get me the manager I want whats on the board if not the board to be taken down the manager wouldn't come out the guy came back after 1 min amd said yeah sure what do u want then took my order to me thats so lazy they don't want to make pizza for 2 slices im sure in Birmingham City centre they can sell the wrest then when my kids open them 5 mins later he had put the pizza in the bottom of the box and stuck the chips to them so my children didn't eat them discrecefull won't be going back here anytime soon

this was the worst order from big John's ever.

I ordered a Chicken Kebab with Naan ,first the chicken so dry and naan fully cold and at end after wasting 20 min they served the food like an animals. Furthermore the place of chips is so dirty and one of the main things they cook chips and chicken in same oil. BigJohns play with religions. They just love with money,in front of them don’t have care of food hygiene ,safety or any thing else. I am going to request Health and Safety department they took actions against them . If you going to place any order there must check their food and hygiene and food quality.
