Big Fernand in Kensington and Chelsea

I was really looking forward to coming here having heard really great reviews. The menu looked brilliant and, having a gluten intolerant friend, it seemed to tick all of the boxes. The meal was… good! It certainly wasn’t bad and we had a nice time. There just wasn’t any wow factor. The burgers were over sauced with slightly over done patties but tasted nice. The service was fine with a perfunctory nature to it and everyone enjoyed their food without waxing lyrical about it. The absolute stand out was the raclette fries which oozed cheesy goodness. All in all a pleasant evening but, with so many great burger restaurants in London… perhaps not one I’d return to for a second bite.

I visited with a friend before a workshop at the Natural History Museum. We had booked which is a good idea. Food was piping hot and didn’t wait very long. We had a window seat and we were not rushed from our table after we’d eaten. Prices were very reasonable and food was great! Would definitely visit again!

Food was cold Insult to the French name Kids portion price and qty is a joke Avoid it and go elsewhere. Told him feedback and he laughed

We go to restaurant, because we were very hungry. Small portion and too expensive for burger size. And small chips. Not recomendent. First and last time.

We were on the way to Albert Hall and needed a quick dinner. We ordered a hamburger and chicken burger and told our waiter we were in a hurry. Drinks and dinner came in about 7 minutes. Food was great and the spritz was so so. But it was perfect for the moment.

Great drinks, great burgers, great chicken, and great fries, all for a great price. I would highly recommend coming here for some delicious food. Try the Diabolo lemonade, it was delicious.

Les burges étaient secs. On a pris celui avec la raclette, étant Suisse, et le peu qu'il y en avait on ne la sentait pas. Le service est sympa mais sans plus et les toilettes sont degueulasse.

Staff are friendly and ambience is good. Food is good especially the different cheese options in the burger. Definitely worth trying!

Arrivés pour déjeuner, salle pleine, on nous accueille moyennement. Ça parle pas du tout français , ce qui est un peu étonnant pour cette enseigne. On nous dit qu’il y a de la place au sous sol mais que la table pouvait être partagée. On accepte et on se retrouve dans une salle avec 3 tables, collée aux toilettes. Une odeur pas terrible, le séchoir à main quasiment en continu. On décide de rester car il est tard et on a faim mais c’est limite. Alors, bien sûr on ne nous a obligés à rien mais je pense qu’un meilleur accueil serait appréciable. Après ce bémol, le burger est excellent, comme d’habitude chez Big Fernand. Petit conseil, préférez la commande via la serveuse ou le serveur, plutôt que via le QR code sur la table, cela vous permettra d’avoir le choix sur la cuisson de la viande.

Adresse bien connu en France , nous n’avons pas été déçu par celle de Londres . Carte identique , burgers bien réalisés, prix abordable vs les prix des restaurants à Londres depuis le Brexit .

Lovely burgers. They were moist and flavourful. They ask you how you want the burgers cooked, which is a good sign. I would recommend if you love burgers.

Fantastic little restaurant. French cheese on a burger worked so well and the raclette fries were sublime. Gluten free bun option was good and my wife said the bun quality was much better than other gluten free buns she’s had before. My son enjoyed the panko chicken bites which were also very good. Highly recommend giving this place a go. Reasonable prices considering the area too.

Dropped on this place by chance between museums and it ended up being a good highlight! Great team both sides of the counter and really liked having the choice of burgers with different French cheeses! Love Tommie de Savoie so went with the Big Fernand burger and it did not disappoint. Daughter absolutely loved the chicken Regal du Poulet burger. Good veggie options too! And the pudding menu may be small but oh my word the chocolat pot was yummers! Thanks Team Fernand!

Bonjour Accueil sympathique un peu à l’arrache mais ça le fait. Après personnel de sale un peu pressant avec le sourire tout de même mais ça ne colle pas à une image à la française il manque ce je ne sais quoi si ce n’est un burger saignant comme demandé à la commande pour se retrouver avec un truc bien cuit , après cela reste très bon mais….bon s’eusse été meilleurs avec la cuisson voulue à mon goût. Crème brûlée pas mauvaise mais à peine brûlée et sortie de sa brique en préparation… Pas d’info sur les apéros carte un peu trop éclaircie qui ne donne pas toutes les infos , un petit Ricard que j’ai aperçu sur les étagères bien trop tard . Pour une enseigne à la française soyez plus près de votre sujet si malgré cela reste plus ou moins proche pour un non français! La qualité est la mais pas l’esprit Ce commentaire n’est pas pour dire du mal ou quoi que ce soit mais un ressenti et vous permettre de corriger ce qui pourrait l’être. Bonne continuation

After visiting the natural history museum, we were a bit peckish and were looking for a place to eat around the area. after viewing some reviews for places around the station we came accross this little restaurant. Nice atmosphere and nice vibe, we were welcomed and sat. The personal were not as friendly as you will expect but after all because of the touristy area you never expect them to be. They were not rude but they were not warm either. Our order came relatively quick, the burgers were really good and really tasty. Service was average. If you are around then I guarantee you, you will enjoy the food. Also price wise it was london prices.

Amazing burger Went to this place before a show at RAH, and it didn't disappoint. The place itself has lots of character, very clean and appealing. The menu has enough to offer, I had the Jura burger and it was absolutely amazing. Food came out quick, and perfectly cooked although they were very busy. Service was good. Would definitely recommend and visit there again.

Was lovely! Really enjoyed it. Toddler was very happy too enjoyed our lunches and they were great with dairy free options too.

What a shame. I had been planning to visit Big Fernand for months after seeing it on social media. Me and my partner went on a date there last night. The food was absolutely delicious but the staff were awful! Took them ages to take our order, then, at the end of the meal the female waitress told my partner she shouldn’t be paying for me and to be “careful” of me whilst I was in the toilet. The creepy chef also kept winking at my partner behind my back throughout our and both him and the waitress made her feel very uncomfortable. I am a waiter myself and I would never do such a thing. Such a let down as the food was great, very odd staff though!

We wanted a quick bite to eat before a concert & this place was fine. I cant say it was the greatest burger ever I've had but certainly hot the spot & service was friendly & quick.

Wow - incredible burgers!!! The raclette burger was to die for and the paprika fries were simply delicious. Well worth a visit and close to the museums too.

The service was great and friendly as well as the food was very filling and well worth the price.

I had a great dinner at Big Fernand. I had the Le Raclette with the paprika/garlic seasoned fries. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was incredibly sweet. They made me feel very welcome when I felt far from my home in America and was eating alone. Absolutely recommend this place! Also the crème brûlée was wonderful! Thank you!

Went here for dinner with friends, and was not disappointed. Excellent waiters, and very good quality food in generous portions at a reasonable price. Atmosphere and decor is friendly too, would recommend to anyone in the area with some money to spend on lunch/dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised when this order arrived. The burger tasted so fresh and the flavours were amazing. I love that they use a sesame seed bun, and the beef is proper meat. The fries were also delicious!!

Had a raclette burger with a portion of fries. Meal was prepared quickly. Good quality in all products, taste was abundant and staff was caring. Definitely would recommend this place as the atmosphere is fitting to the food you are savouring.
