Is this venue permanently closed? I went along on Wednesday 19th June 2024 at about 14:30. The shutters were down . Went back four hours later, it was the same story. If it is now closed, could the website be updated please to inform people about this? The website gives the impression it is a going concern and you can make bookings. Am annoyed at making a wasted journey.

We found this Bavarian pub accidentally but were amazed how good the food, the service and the beer was! We're saving it in our favourite places to dine in and would become regular customers who would recommend it to everyone who wants to go somewhere nice. We were very fortunate to be served and looked after by their amazing waitress Bilyana who went out and above and made our experience even better than it was already! Their live music rocked and picked up the vibes of all the customers who were there! Thank you, Bierschenke, for the amazing service! We'll be back soon! 🤠🥳🙏🏻

This place was a great find. We were looking for somewhere to eat before a theatre visit and stumbled upon it. Great atmosphere and super food. Staff were attentive and really clued up on my wife’s Gluten allergy and my dairy intolerance. The food was cooked to perfection and good value for money. Callum, the assistant manager, was very attentive and when he realised my wife couldn’t easily manage the stairs took her down in a service lift. This will become my new go to place when I am in the area. Thanks.

As you would expect a large range of good German beers with pricing at the upper end. 3x steins was £43. This time around we did not sample the food but it did look hearty and filling. The toilets would not have been out of place in a football gound but not fit for Covent Garden. Overall I would go again but likely move on to another venue after a few rounds.

This place is a lot of fun. As soon as you get through the door it feels like you’ve stepped into Bavaria. At some point through the night a band started playing music for a short while and the food is really good. But the real highlight was our waitress, Gia. One member of our party is celiac and had a lot of questions on the food, like a lot! We had just been to another restaurant where they scared her off so she was a bit anxious about the menu… Gia was incredibly kind and patient, answered all the questions and gave us advice on the food. It is rare to find such a good waitress and I thought she deserved the public recognition!

The best German pub ever with great beer selection and immaculate food. Especially suitable for big parties. We had our company Christmas party here. This pub has all the elements to make the evening awesome: live band, platters of cheese/ham/sausages/schnitzel, and of course steins of beer! Shout-out to the food - it offered better German sausages than what I tried in Oktoberfest in Munich! The mulled wine came in a cute boot cup and had a sweet, festive taste - just the drink I wanted for the night! The waitress also offered rounds of shots at the end of the party.

Great location for groups but an absolute rip off if you opt for a drinks/food package. £50pp for sausage, chips and a beer (or a bottle of cheap wine). Groups are welcomed with a pretzel (big tickle i hear you say . . .). However, if you are late you have to pay £3.50p on top of the rip off £50 already paid for your sausage and chips. The profit margins here are ridiculous, as demonstrated by their demand for another £3.50p for a pretzel (which likely cost 20p to make), for 2 x late arrivals. The location and beer are good but their drink/meal package deals are not so great!!

Decent lunch - fairly priced. Stopped in for a pint and a quick bite. Place was just starting to fill up but they were clearly understaffed. We ended up ordering our own drinks at the bar and waiting for a waitress to take our food orders. Obatzda Bavarian cheese spread was okay but would have been better served warm. Two Debreziner sausages with sauerkraut and horseradish were tasty. Mushroom soup with a pretzel was good. Pretzels would be better served warm. Overall, everything was good.

They serve German beer and food, so if you fancy some German dishes they definitely worth a visite. Since I don't eat pork my friend ordered the vegetarian option in advancr but never came. The beer was great but from the moment we arrived didn't feel welcome, felt like an inconvenience to the staff, only 1 greeted us with a smile, the rest came across as very grumpy (doesn't cost anything to greet with a smile?) Also, the automatic service charge is pretty cheeky, what am I tipping for, bringing a beer 10 steps my table, come on. For someone with a craving for German Bier, Bierkeller didn't disappoint. It's a relief to bid farewell to the humdrum British brews and opt for the magnificent taste of Deutsche concoctions. The only downside? It's a bit of a wallet-drainer. Ironically, I spent less on the same beer during my recent escapade in Germany. Nevertheless, Bierkeller is a decent place with an interesting concept. Although, if you visit on a Wednesday afternoon, prepare for some solitude. Hopefully, the evenings offer a tad more liveliness.

Been to the Bierschenke in Earlham Street, Seven Dials, Covent Garden twice now since it recently opened. The food and beer here are excellent. The beer hall is situated on the old Belgo's site, and had been made to feel more like a German Bierkeller. The main beer on tap is Paulaner a Munich brewed beer, they serve a mixture of lagers, dark and wheat beers, and also have a varied selection of German bottled beers. The food is excellent here, on our first visit we had the Pork Schnitzel, which came with a nice salad and chips. The Schnitzel was one of the best I've has outside Germany. The dessert of Apfelstrudel, with Vanilla custard and rasberry sauce was outstanding, great taste and flavour. On our second visit, I tried the Flammkuchen, which is basically a tart flambè with sour cream, courgettes and onions, very tasty and not too filling. This time I tried a pint of Auerbrau Pilsener, very smooth taste. The service was prompt, and the staff very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip to Bierschenke Keller.

Tuesday night so expected to be a bit quiet. One manager, one barman, two waitresses. One waitress seemed to have experience, the other - ours - precious little. Didn’t seem to know the menu, definitely didn’t have a clue about the beers. The barman didn’t know what beers should be served in which glasses. The flamkuchen arrived (oddly with a sauce for one of the mains) only partially cooked, rapidly followed by our mains. I pointed out that it was meant to be a starter, the waitress apologised but just made space for the mains and did nothing more. This is meant to be an authentic Bierkeller but it has a long way to go to get that right. The basics just aren’t in place yet, which for the cost, really isn’t good enough. Disappointed.

Right outside my office door so maybe I am going to be a little biased but it’s a great pub. Real German beers in real German glasses. Even one kg the bar ladies was German. Great tasting beer in blonde and white in large glasses. Great place to go after work for a couple of beers.

The concept for this place was fun! Unfortunately the food was completely inedible. If it wasn’t cold, it was clumsily spiced and nothing really worked. The atmosphere was also very very masculine and we were made to feel super uncomfortable. The band was really good though and super fun.

An original cafe with a German name, but Austrian cuisine and interior elements. Next to Imperial College. Very suitable for a snack and a short stop.
