My girlfriend’s chicken tikka and rice was apparently very nice, and the poppadoms and naan were too. However, when it came to my order of a vegetable biryani, I asked for my meal to be made without onions, as I have an allergy - They had neglected to inform me that this meant I couldn’t have the buryani sauce, so I paid full for only half a meal as they only sent me the rice. The rice box was also labelled “no onions”, but the rice was actually full of onions. When I phoned up they actually doubted what I was saying, but at least they offered to send me a new rice box without onions - I didn’t accept though as I didn’t particularly trust them. Which is fair. I personally wouldn’t come here again, only because they didn’t respect that I have an allergy. If you have no allergies or intolerances, you’ll probably enjoy the food.

Worst Indian food I have tasted in recent times. Tasteless, textureless, saltless. Briyani was nowhere close to what Briyani should taste or look like. Paneer was hard. Mushroom side was a shocker...you won't know what you are eating. Utterly disappointed and really upset.

I've read a couple of bad reviews saying this place has gone downhill. My question is, was it ever "uphill"?! They have a food hygiene rating of 4/5. I'm not what the hygiene standard officer was smoking that day; The same guy who man-handled my poppadoms that I was later to be consuming was also taking card payments, using a calculator, handling cash, touching door knobs and work surfaces without cleaning or disinfecting his hands in between. I also saw the chef using an old curry stained damp cloth to wipe down surfaces. This same chef may have previously worked in the paint-mixing department at B&Q, you know the bit where you can mix and match colours? I say this because he had a wall mounted rack of pre-made curry base mixes. He either knew all 70 dishes off the menu from memory, or he was just blagging it, grabbing a dash of this and a splash of that, similar to a toddler making a piece of artwork only his/her parent could appreciate. My chicken curry that I ordered was rubbery and dry. They allowed me to order it as "mild", but it was the hottest thing that I've ever eaten. I'm dreading the next few days as it leaves my system. If I've got to make the choice between ordering from here again and eating both my arms, put it this way, I wouldn't be very good at playing snooker.

Ordered a selection of currys for birthday party at external venue. The food was absolutely terrific and they supplied more than we had ordered. Everyone at the party commended the food. Especially enjoyed the tarka dhal and lamb Rogan Josh which had loads of pieces of tender lamb. Recommend them very highly!

I've used this take out on and off for a couple of years. Its always been ok, but recently it's gone down hill. Ordered a lamb dish with next to no lamb in it, which was also very fatty. The fish dish I ordered was also very poor. Won't be back unfortunately.

Placed an order for samosas for a NYE party. On the phone they were abrupt and very ill tempered. Upon collecting the samosas they were again rude as we were 15 minutes late. The samosas were average. Wouldn’t go again - they must improve their customer service

Excellent quality takeaway meal. Hot and tasty, with extras thrown in - there is a lot of competition in Lymm but this is my first choice.

We've only tried the kebabs as our local one closed down for a while. The kebab is huge, big enough for 2 to share and still have left overs if you get fries as well. Great value

We visit Bahjis regularly and have never been disappointed. We have tried their mild curries, which are my fav. My partner usually goes for the very spicy ones and he is always happy. Staff are friendly. Would def recommend.

First of all I found the man taking the orders rude, he was busy but not at all friendly. He said he wanted cash rather than card because I was only spending £8.50 then proceeded to take s card payment from a guy obviously a regular for less. I ordered chicken madras and pilau rice. Got home to find the pilau rice solid in one piece so god knows how long it had been in the carton. The chicken madras was a thin brown spicy liquid with a few pieces of dry chicken in. I love my Indian food but this was a real disappointment and I won't go there again even though it is within walking distance.

A year on from my last review and probably last Indian take away from this establishment and nothing has changed. It is a standard Indian takeaway that at best provides an urgent curry fix when you don't want to go out but nothing that really makes me want to order more frequently when I can get a better restaurant meal in Warrington. The food is average, the madras chicken was not really spicy but the veg dishes were better. The curry source is probably more watery than I would normally expect but this place has been trading a long time so I guess it is doing well enough with two other Indian restaurants in close proximity. Overall, ok for a quick takeaway just don't expect a culinary delight or take a short trip to one of the better places in Warrington or Stockton Heath.

Seemed to be busy which I think has to be a good sign.Chicken Madras- seemed to be good quality meat and a decent portion of it. However the sauce was very runny and nowhere near as hot as I would expect from a Madras (the heat was more like what I would expect from a tikka masala or something like that). Garlic Naan- was ok, perhaps a bit undercooked if anythingSaag Bhaji- again just ok

Not a regular customer but tried a week ago after a year or more and very good value for money. Is it the best Indian food? no but the lamb biryani was well cooked, the lamb curry was very well spiced and tender lamb. The onion bargee & samosa were just ok, both could be much better spiced and bigger to enjoy the filling. Nann bread and chutneys were ok. Overall a decent Indian takeaway when you need a quick curry fix at home at a cheap price. Bhajis have been open in Lymm for many years so I guess local business must be good, no problem recommending.

Ordered a take away from here. The place itself is clean and appealing. The food though isn't great. Orders onion bahji starters and they were undercooked and warmish. The garlic naan bread was tough and tasteless. But worse of all the korma and tikka masala sauce was so so so watery and tasteless. Very disappointing to be honest.

This is the only take away Indian I go to in Lymm, I've tried most of the menu and find the majority of dishes tasty and good value. I've never had a problem with frozen or bland food as other users have commented on and I've been eating from here for about 5 years.Perfectly positioned to order and then go for a pint whilst waiting, it does get busy given the lack of local options so patience or planning is required. The staff are always very friendly and happy to advise on different dishes and ideas, you normally get a cash discount or a freebie which is well received.

Quite possibly the worst curry we have ever had. Undercooked Naan bread, frozen solid yoghurt and mint sauce, kept waiting 35 mins after the pick up time without so much as a sorry and then to top it off all 3 curries we tried were utterly flavourless and the lamb was tough. Mango sauce was lovely though so I'd stick to that and poppadoms! So disappointed.

Moored our boat along with a few others close to Bhajis so we ordered several dishes to share.Every dish was lacking taste and out of 8 of us nobody enjoyed it.My chicken dish was so bland I have no idea if they put any spice in it.Service was fairly slow and there was an absence of customer skills,no smiles, hello's or pleasantries and to add insult to injury it was overpriced.

The staff/chefs are friendly and always give us a quick hello from the kitchen - which is open plan. Would highly recommend that you give this place a try - worth it!

I've been to all the curry houses/restaurants in Lymm and I have to say that bahjis is by far the best value for money and the most consistent in Lymm. In terms of price it's pretty standard for the area and the waiting time in general is really good (longer waits on Saturdays due to its busyness). At Bahjis I usually flit between the madras and balti depending on what mood I'm in, Baltis feature a lot in the chefs specials and it's really flavoursome. If your into your mild curries then the tikka is nice and the korma is also full of flavour and creamy. The naans are good and the popadoms are always fresh. As for the starters I never stray to far from the mixed kebab or the onion bahjis. Overall bahjis is the best curry takeaway in Lymm although it's unfortunate they don't do deliveries.

I had the meal for one, a chicken bhuna (i think) and some poppadums and rice and some samosas, rice. The food is ok here, the curry was swimming in grease and didnt really cut it. The starters and poppadums were fine, but i left 3/4 of the curry as it was just too greasy and fairly uninspiring.

Had a really good take-out from Bhajis. We've only been the once - I had a chilli chicken missile which was really hot and the wife had an amazing biriani.
