Good to see Bewitched being proactive in stemming the kids from the Heart of England who use the location as a waiting room, frequently noise, disrespectful and never purchase anything. Well done Bewitched for maintaining its lovely atmosphere. Anya is doing a great job, is always respectful and polite.

This cafe can be lovely, the coffee is great and the food is quite good. However, when my group and I arrived intending to purchase a drink, we were told if we did not all purchase something we could not sit together, I found this to be extremely unprofessional as the way we were spoke to was rather rude. All in all, I think this cafe has become rather unfriendly to a younger audience and I wouldn’t recommend to younger people.

The mad puffer fish review is totally unacceptable. Some of the school children attending Heart of England School seem to think it is acceptable to sit in Bewitched, eat and drink products bought (& in some instances stollen) from other stores, never or infrequently purchasing anything from Bewitched, play music on their phones, leave their rubbish, etc. Many congratulations to Bewitched for finally making a stand and returning the coffee shop to the pleasant location to relax and enjoy a coffee that it always used to be. To introduce a policy whereby the children are required to be an actual customer is perfectly reasonable. Bewitched tried to just ask that a couple of members of a group buy something, but the children just sat in bigger and bigger groups. To resort to Google reviews to make false claims because they can no longer abuse the hospitality offered is appalling. I am not suggesting that all school children behave poorly, far from it. In fact, this group of girls has always been very well behaved historically. As a regular customer, I am used to seeing around 20 students taking over Bewitched every school day. I have had to ask them to tidy up after themselves, to turn their music down, and on occasion to vacate seats so that actual customers can sit down. This coffee shop is the best in Balsall Common. It's coffee and staff are great. They do not deserve 3* reviews from children who don't like being asked to follow social norms

Nice cafe attached to a very posh and upmarket Co-op shop, coffee and cakes are great but there does not seem to be any toilets but parking is free.

Like most coffee houses in that they are overpriced but it makes a change from the rest

Visited with a friend, ideal location with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We had great coffee and cake from a wide selection, other snacks looked good too. Very friendly service. Will be returning again soon and recommend to others.

Cute coffee shop that is easily accessible from inside the co-op. Part of a 16 store chain around the Midlands. They serve a really nice hot chocolate. Easy parking and plenty of seating.

My daughter was out with her friend and their children today, taking a walk, playing in the park and decided to stop off at Bewitched Coffee for a drink and a snack. Apparently, a group of five elderly adults took offence at my grandson pretending to be a monster (whilst sitting tidy at his table) and rather than have a quiet work, decided to bellow "Shut Up" across the cafe at them. My daughters friend got up and was confronted by one of the other members of this group who told her that "you should not bring your children in here" Who the hell do they think they are!!! Not one member of staff intervened in this instance until my daughter and her friend were already leaving.

Great coffee, served by lovely people. The swirl was not to the Barista's liking, so it was replaced with no prompting from us. It just didn't meet her high standards of presentation. 🙂

The chairs are very comfortable, there's plenty of space to sit, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, but the main reason I keep coming back is the coffee - it's a got a rich, full flavour, and is really to my taste.

I came in with my husband on Saturday evening, the coffee was perfectly crafted by a young girl who was exceptionally friendly and talkative. After a wonderful conversation about her unique name - Thalia - my husband and I settled down to have our drinks. A short while after another couple came in and ordered some drinks and cakes, we overheard the couple expressing how there was a problem with their phone in which they intended to pay from. Thalia paid for their whole order. I doubt the other couple could leave a review as their phone wasn’t working, which is why I felt compelled to write this. The kindness and positively joyous attitude this young lady presents is outstanding, what she did went above and beyond customer service. This is in need of serious recognition and high praise. Well done girly!

I wish I'd stumbled across this Gem on my previous visits to Balsall Common with work. Throughout my many visits this week the staff have been friendly and welcoming from the moment you step foot in the door. Coffee was always lovely and always served with a friendly smile, it will be my go to coffee shop whenever I'm in the area with work.

Had called in yesterday (my mistake for when the high school finished midday) but what can I say, the 2 girls smashed it!! Really long queue of people, yet they both had a smile on their faces, interacting with everyone, maintained a nice clean store and served great coffee, well worth a visit👌🏼

We were in this coffee shop this morning. When trying to pay for 2 coffees the credit card didn’t work, despite it working in the Co-op immediately afterwards. The assistant, James went above and beyond his duties to pay personally with his own credit card for our coffees. I have since been back into the coffee shop to reimburse him, but I would like to praise James for exemplary customer service, especially as he didn’t know me before this.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and kept very clean, not forgetting an excellent bakewell slice 😋

Such a lovely coffee shop. Went in this morning and the service from Anya and Anna was amazing, both so friendly and polite! Our drinks were really good and we'll definitely be back!!

As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a extremely polite team. Clean and tidy. Wide variety of snacks and drinks. Opted for pumpkin spiced latte (which was excellent) and then went again for a cappuccino and a cherry bakewell!🤤 Would definitely recommend. Sat down and chatted to Gavin about the prospects of the Bewiched franchise, and it all seems very exciting, good luck to all those involved!

Wonderful experience here today! Even though it was the first day, the service by Anna, Anya, Amy, and Ben was excellent and the coffee was delicious.
