Great coffee, yummy pastries, friendly folks, picturesque locale. Great stop on the NC500! You’ll need the caffeine 😂

Lovely Cafe -- now called Clachan Cafe -- Fiona served us the best tomato soup as well as gorgeous vegan chocolate cake and coffees:) Well worth a stop and once the museum is built -- certain the crowds will pour in.

A great place to stop in an area without many cafes. We enjoyed big sandwiches and nachos. Like everywhere, seeming to struggle with enough staff but they were very attentive and helpful.

Best mac & cheese ever. Exactly what we needed. Warmed up our tums on a chilly summer day. Thank you x

A quaint stop on the NC500. The cakes are delicious and the lady who works there is lovely and helpful, she gave us a great recommendation for a small campsite with amazing views. We were also able to stock up on leaflets from the little tourist information here too.

Me and my family went here a few months ago. This little place is really good for fish and chips. The prices are very good for the amount and quality of the food.

I've been here twice so far. Nice location, nice coffee, nice food, nice service! There is the Strathnaver museum tucked away at the back. Worth a visit!

I always stop off at this cafe / information center when travelling along the North coast. Food is always great and the owners very friendly.

Quick note before review. They only accept cash. I wanted to try it as it is a lovely setting and bakehouse. I went in at 10:30am and fancied some quiche off the menu. It wasn't ready (wasn't cooked). There really wasn't anything that made it a bakehouse on the day. I ended up having homemade broccoli and stilton soup and a old school corned beef toastie which was quite nice.

Attended a party here last night, Terrible service and drinks. The staff were miserable definitely no service with smiles in this place. I do agree with the last review, the staff need customer service training. Gin with a warm bottle of cheap lemonade for my first drink, Then I got a glass of Warm Prosecco (which I was advised by the staff that the party guests were drinking far to quick so can’t chill quick enough)🥴 Then I received a flat dreg from a different kind of Prosecco bottle which I had to send back. Then I noticed each round of the same drinks I was being charged different prices. When questioned I was told I should be lucky that I have been undercharged the previous time🥴 Good job this place is at the bottom end of the town so it was a 1 off visit, I’ll not have to visit again.

Customers both eating in and taking out have to queue at the till where there is very little room. Dogs aren't allowed inside with their owners to eat but they are allowed to queue inside. Today a man with a large dog was queuing for at least 10 minutes the dog was barking which made a child cry, it was smelly and getting in staff and customers way until he eventually got his food and sat outside. It would be much pleasanter experince for cutomers if orders were taken at the table.
