Best Shawarma in Darlington

Me and the family always love coming here the chicken is amazing whether we get it with salad and rice or in a wrap won't go anywhere else for a shawarma even though we've moved to Richmond we still love to come through for a shawarma now and then when we're in Darlington

Best food place in Darlington rate it 10000/10. People here are so polite and kind and the food came out really fast. Will definitely be coming again!

the wraps and the sandwiches are my favourite because cheap always tasty and i would give anything to have it everday

Wait almost 2hours food come cold had to put all in microwave as when phone them they have no time to speak to me about it lol never again with these.

Food was good but the prices keep going up, I used to get 4 Skewers of meat 2 lamb And 2 kofta with rice salad garlic and bread, I used to get charged £16 last 2 visits for the same food is not £20 so iv stopped going, also the wraps have gone up, so unfortunately I have stopped going,

This place doesn't need much explaining, just know that it is a takeout and had some dining in seats availabke, you don't book tables or anything like that, just turn up. It's not fine dining or anything, it's just amazing tasting, well made shawarma, served by very nice helpful staff at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Visited today with my partner and our two young Sons. Food was delicious. All staff members were polite and friendly. Everything looked clean and tidy.

Authentic Turkish food, very good price and very good quality, be friendly to the owners and staff because they care so much. There's certainly kebab, but there's also vegetarian so very pleased with it

Don't be put off by the basic tables with Formica surfaces, the food here is excellent. Although it has a really busy takeaway trade the small restaurant is well attended. You can choose your kebab and it is cooked whilst you wait. A surprising find with friendly service. NB portions are large!

One thing i keep craving is, after finishing a plate of rice, shawarma and salad, is having their lovely tea and just sitting there - food is delicious, service is really friendly and the tea is banging

Have visited this place three times now, always at lunch time. Had wrap to takeaway and on each occasion was very happy. Whilst the exterior and the interior decor is a little tired, the food was flavourful, succulent, hot and amazing value.

Nice take away food or eat in the wraps are the best in Darlington, all made fresh and salad, we have tried all the food on the menu and it is all beautiful

very dirty place kitchen dirty iast time when i visit i see rat running in the kicthen i did report to counsel and i did drive behind the shop where the bins are omg i never see dirty horribal place squirrel's and rat's playing 5a side football

Absolutely disgusted with best shawarma, placed an order online with just eat, delivery was expected to be 60 minutes which you would accept is standard, 80 minutes later delivery arrives, happy days you’d think, just for the driver to hand over the order and £7 and said sorry we had no chicken so here’s your refund, how’s about letting us know 80 minutes earlier so we could have ordered something else! Well I’m sorry NOT SO BEST SHWARMA, I won’t be ordering from you again.

Although the shop closes at 8, they accepted my order from JustEat (to be delivered) for 20:25 (I thought that this may just have been for last delivery). Anyway, the food was delivered at 7:35 to my girlfriends address where I wasn’t even at yet (hence the time of delivery). By the time I eventually arrived food was cold so had to be heated up. Food wasn’t that bad in the grand scheme of things so won’t leave a completely bad review, but more needs to be done in terms of communication with JustEat.

Went to visit a friend in Darlington and we went to Turkish restaurant. We had a lovely meal at shawrama. Food was lovely and staff were very nice. When we will go to Darlington will visit this place again. Great value for money.

Had chicken kebab. Served with garlic sauce chips salad and naan bread. All was very tasteless. Won't bother again

Took 1hr 40 minutes to arrive, nobody would answer the phone, delivery driver rude, food cold, very small portions and dry rubbery meat. Utter disgrace and would never, ever use again. They haven’t even marked the order as finished so I can’t review on just eat. Awful.

This is a little gem - you can sit down in a friendly, unpretentious restaurant and eat excellent food. There are wraps that are full of meat, or plates with kebabs and rice. It all looked excellent and tasted yummy. Not too spicy either.

This is a little secret, North Road the food is very good value they close early which I would like it to stay open longer this so I could have more stuff on and I'd try it you would like it

Every time i visit darlo i have to go. I like everything. The food is homemsade. The okra soup is very tasty.

I've eaten here 5 or 6 times now and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh plentiful and beautifully cooked. Staff are very friendly and offer you bread and soup when they bring your food, if you want more just ask! Really good...

Siempre 2 encontrados envolturas para salir; estos comprenden de pan plana auténtica cubierto con el Cordero y el pollo del spit, con ensalada fresca y salsa, laminados y sirve para £2.50 cada una. Todo está preparado en frente de usted y con eficiencia rápido; sólo así como las colas pueden estar fuera de la puerta en horas punta.

Estado aquí unas cuantas veces, y cada vez que tengo una cálida welocome y un personal amable. El shawarma y Kebab de pollo carnes son muy buenas, la mejor de la ciudad, diría el pan recién hecho nan es justo en frente de usted. También lo tiene muy buena relación calidad-precio.

This is a great place for a lunchtime shawarma wrap! They have seating inside, or if you're just visiting during your half hour lunch break they can prepare it quickly in front of you. The naan bread is very nice. Mine had little marks of coal on so I can only assume they make them fresh over a coal fire - which is very impressive! I've had the mixed (chicken and "meat" - I think that's lamb) wrap last week, then this week had the chicken wrap. They're both very nice, I think I prefer the chicken though as the "meat" had a few chewy bits. It's a good lunch time treat!

We have used this shawarma for the last 3 years and enjoyed it every time so much so I have recommended it to colleagues friends and family. Today however I purchase 2 and on opening them they had very little content except garlic sauce and chilli sauce clearly to bulk them out from the lack of meat. They were stone cold and could not be eaten.

It's still one of the best Turkish kebab shops in the North East!! And the prices are very good too. Try the Lamb Khozi - the portions are very generous, and the owners give you a nice cup of Turkish tea to go with it. The shawarmas (both chicken and lamb, or if you're greedy, you can have a mixed shawarma) are delicious - the perfect fast food!

Best kebab we've ever had. Beautifully moist chicken, soft flatbreads, rice, salad, jalapeños and chilli and garlic sauces. For a fiver. Great service too - chicken not quite ready when he ordered, so he was offered tea while he waited. Will definitely return.

this place is a basic but clean and welcoming small cafe on a stretch of road heading north from the town centre in among about a dozen or so other fast food outlets, cafes and restaurants.the lamb (or, if you prefer, chicken) kebabs are superb! the lamb kebab in particular is the best i've ever had - and i've had a few! whenever i visit darlington i make sure i visit best shawarma. even my son, who's a fussy divil, loves the food here. the staff are very friendly and each time i've been in, there's always been a cheery atmosphere. the range of traditional mid eastern food is good. friends and family who have also been agree - it's one of those places you'd like to keep to yourself but i think the cat's out of the bag as you have to get there early because when the food's gone it's gone - til tomorrow!

Wraps are awesome, fresh and filling I often pop in for naans to go with home made curry Staff are pleasant and if you eat in they bring you water and Kurdish tea, which is lovely

Highly recommended! Their Vegetarian menu is limited, but absolutely scrumptious! Staff are efficient and friendly. Small, but clean and bright environment. Take away is quick. Cheap, but filling food.

Have been going to this place for the past year or so - just decided to share what I know with others here. They serve really tasty food - and serves really quick too! It's mainly shawarma prepared either in wraps or as a meal. They also do kozi/kozeh meals served with rice and bread. They are very tasty and best of all, very affordable. It may not have the options like the ones in London, but I think it does fit in with what this town needs. It seems that the secret is already out as I used to see mainly Kurdish and Muslims of different cultures coming here, but for the past few months, a lot of local people seem to have discovered this place and are coming in droves. When a chicken or a lamb wrap costs only £2.50, I don't think you can argue much.. I think they would really welcome a lot more customers after this...
