Loved this place the cocktail is amazing - i would recomend the mixed grill sharing platter - its got a bit of everything and the portion is huge and the service is really good. I will be returning for sure :-)

I have an assistance dog who has a legal right to be with me if I go to a restaurant. This restaurant was not accommodating and wouldn't consider it despite the legal right just did not want to know. Terrible. Unfriendly and rude.

Went in here for dinner with some friends and was not sure what to expect but pleased to say the food was very good and the service was efficient and friendly. We very much enjoyed the evening and my only gripe would be the EFES beer was very expensive but despite this we would return although probably have a different choice of drinks.

I've been stopping by here for lunch pickups using Mealpal. I've had the chance to try their lamb kebab. Their lamb is right off the grill and quite delicious. The accompanying salad within the wrap is fresh and tasty. Their generous portion of chips as a side is a nice bonus, but no where near as delicious as their wrap.

Decent food, wait staff and nice place, but the portions are small. Perhaps charge a bit more for a bigger portion. £8.95 is a cheap menu, perhaps increase a few £ and give a bigger portion. I could have easily had seconds.

Best food and great value in Farringdon.. Lunch deal is incredibly cheap but all food is fresh.. highly recommend.. and all staff is friendly..

I love turkish food and really wanted to try this place, on my sister's recommendation. We ordered a takeaway of kebabs, which were very tasty, and it's pretty good value too.

Turkish food - ok and not overpriced. Took the sharing platter for two - good selection of meat but not much eating on the ribs and chicken wings which were the bulk of the platter. Service was a bit slow considering the place was almost empty, although the staff were friendly enough. Beer was expensive at £5.95 for a 50ml bottle of Emes. Not sure if I would rush back.

Three of us dropped in for lunch on spec. The service was friendly and very quick, but we weren't pressured into leaving at the end even though we were quite late for the lunch trade. The flat bread with our starters was delicious, and the main courses generous proportions and tasty. The lunchtime offer includes starter and main for £8.95, and the total bill for the three of us including drinks was £32. Excellent value and very nice food to boot.

Been here few times with colleagues for lunch. The service is friendly and quick. They have recently refurbished. The food is really good. Tender meat, nice flavour and good choice. the best thing is that its not expensive. 2 course within a tenner.

Came here for dinner with some cousins. The food was great, we had a few starters to share, and a main each, yet still very reasonably priced. Would recommend if you're in the area.

We dropped in for a quick early evening meal before going on to a wine-tasting event. We ordered pitta, salad, and chicken and lamb shish, all of which was excellent and the salad dressing was especially tasty. We would have liked to linger over the meal and we plan to return to this welcoming Turkish restaurant.

Went at lunchtime, was ushered to a stuffy room upstairs with no ventilation despite being in direct sunlight. A few drinks brought to us after 20 mins, starters brought out after 40 mins but with no cutlery or bread to eat with it. Walked out at 50 mins after numerous prompts to staff who didn't seem to care less.

Fuimos a este restaurante la última noche y mi primer instinto no fue buena, ya todo el personal estaban de pie alrededor y sólo hay dos otros comensales. Pero es alrededor de la ciudad y como la mayoría de los lugares de alrededor supuse que la mayoría de su comercio era a la hora del almuerzo. Debería haber seguido ese primer instinto porque no podría haber tenido una experiencia más desagradable. Tanto de nuestras comidas llegaron al mismo tiempo, pero tan pronto como la mía era antes me di cuenta de que ambos no uno, sino dos aspectos de pelo largo negro muy esparcidos por el piso. Principales y repugnante. Llamé al camarero y indicó y se llevaron el plato. Por supuesto, lo que esto significaba era que inevitablemente tenía que nuestras comidas por separado no es lo que quieres con tu pareja. El segundo plato salió buscando completamente diferentes a la primera, que tenía varios tomates y otros guarnición alrededor de la placa. En esta etapa tenía demasiada hambre e irritada de quejarse. He utilizado tanto el restaurante y llevar asientos. Que yo no califico como un restaurante, pero probablemente más una brasserie como. La gente que trabaja allí es agradable y simpático, proporcionando el servicio que se espera formar un lugar de estar para llevar. Ha sido un tiempo desde que he estado en los países del Mediterráneo, así que es difícil comparar, pero siempre ha sido agradable y sabroso. Un lugar para dar un ir si estás alrededor.

My friends and I use this restaurant weekly. Ali & his staff make you feel welcome. You tend to get lots of London Taxi drivers in there early evening. Probably because it's such great value

There are a growing number of "smarter" Turkish restaurants across the City. Each offer tasty fresh food.Best Mangal is not smart but is honest and offers the tastiest, freshest food of the lot. Lunch Menu an absolute bargain. My choice the Chicken shish but everyone I've taken there loves anything they've tried!

I got warm meze served with great bread and a mixed lamb and chicken doner plate with salad and chips. Really tasty and high quality. Nice, attentive wait staff, too. Highly recommend!

I'm no expert on Turkish food, but what's on offer here seems to be authentic.Starter comes with nibbles and bread. Servings are large. Tapwater provided free of charge on request. Service is efficient.The lunchtime deal is extremely good value and costs approx half of what you'll pay in the evening time.I've been here a few times now and will likely be back again.

My friend and I went there from an afternoon drinking session, which always sharpens the appetite. We started with kalamar (calamari) and sucuk (spicy beef sausage) respectively. For mains, he chose the pirzola (lamb chops) and I had the adana kofta kebabs. We accompanied these with a bottle of Turkish Yakut red wine. Portion sizes were big - except my starter, which was sufficient, especially in view of what followed. We passed on desserts, settling for Turkish coffees.It was quite busy, obviously a popular after-work venue, but the service was brisk. Recommended.

Have had countless amounts of lunches at this place. Very good value for money and very friendly staff. Starter with warm bread is a nice touch with the grill food always top notch! You won't leave hungry. Many more returns for me.

Stopped here for a late lunch and opted for the 2 course lunch special. Great choice of Mediterranean food, freshly toasted bread with choose of 7 or 8 starters. Main choices were similar with rice and chips for about £8. The mains were large and all the food tasted great and fresh, couldn't eat all of it. Service was fine too given it was half full. The tables were a little crammed in, but understandable given the location.

Been in here for the lunch deal and there is a good choice of what you can have for your two courses so you cold go regularly and not eat the same thing for a while. I was impressed with the service and the speed which is important at lunch time. The portion sizes are very good so the value is definitely there. Very tasty too. Have never been there for the main evening meals but based on my experience I would definitely be back.

Popped in for a mid-week lunch with a friend and the service was quick, the value was amazing, the portions were substantial and the quality was great.If you like grilled kebabs then I'd recommend it.

I have ate their food a good couple of time and order take-away sometimes. The charcoal grill gives the food a unique favour that I can honestly say no other place can match. I go for the special mix kebab every time and never have to change. Grabbed a kebab on the way home after watching a musical. Opened till late. One of few kebab places in that neighbourhood. I'm not really a kebab connoisseur- but have had enough to know it is not a bad one. Thought it was quite dear - but then it is London after all. Very hygienic it seems.

Although the food tasted above average for a kebab house, the waiter appeared to be a novice. The price charged for a chicken shish with rice and salad, with a coke was £11.70 each. Too expensive doubt my colleague or I will go again.

My partner and I popped in this evening for a light dinner before meeting friends. We went for the Mangal special for 2. This is a platter of different meze items followed by a massive platter of meats served with meat and fries with a side salad. The food was tasty and the service excellent. Will definitely return.

Hi all, went here the other day for lunch whilst working local, saw the outside and fancied something a bit different and boy was it different!!! Me and a work college popped in and ordered a burger each and then after see the place was empty asked if we could sit down to eat our food. A small time later this man who was very rude came past muttering under his breath about this is not McDonalds and maybe we should have gone there!! which was very strange as we had both been polite to staff and so on. When leaving was charged £14.00 instead of the original price ( about a tenner ) said because we had sat down but this was not mentioned before. After had paid the same man was behind the counter still saying we should have had something else to eat, I mean why sell burgers and chips and then get funny when they are ordered. It was one of the most bizarre lunch time experiences I've every had. I would definitely NOT recommend to anyone that I know.

We stopped here for lunch by chance and were really impressed. The lunchtime menu is incredible value, £7.95 for a starter and main course. There were several hot and cold starters to choose from and all came with fresh flat bread. There was a great choice of main courses as well and the portion sizes were generous - too big really. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant and we would certainly go back. A great find!

We have visited this place before however this time they had included fish on their menu. There is a great choice of starters (maybe if you want traditional English food this is not the place for you). For my main course I had the Bream while my partner had the Salmon. The portions were huge succulent and delicious, with a very fresh full salad and tasty rice. The staff are there when you need them, polite and keen to help. Although the food is cooked to order it comes very fast. At £7.95 it's difficult to work out how they can afford to give such good value. It's a wonderful place we will be returning soon.

This place doesn't deserve a single point.I went here for some lunch with a colleagues today, its £7.95 for a starter, main and choice of chips or rice.They didn't have any of the starters we liked firstly, so we chose to not have any.When our food came i was given the wrong meal and the chef simply said 'well its too late now' i said fine to try and keep the peace and said i will eat it anyway.The chef then told the waitress that she had taken my order down wrong (which she had, and my colleagues confirmed) she then came over and i was expecting her to apologize (like any other place would) but instead she started telling me that i told her the wrong order and that i was wrong (despite that i was pointing at the item on the menu as i ordered) i explained that i was not wrong and ordered what i wanted but she was having none of it and stropped off.It was a mixed Donna that they gave me, which i would never order and was horrendously greasy and fatty and only had a few bites before not eating anymore. When it came round to paying i went to the till and the same waitress served me and said it was £11.20. I asked if she was joking as i was given the wrong food, didn't eat any of it and was spoken to rudely by her. She tutted, shunned me off and told me that's the price of what i ordered and it wasn't going to change. I told her my feelings of how rude she was and that what they had done was wrong, that the food i was given was not nice, paid and left.I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! Rude staff. Bad food. And simply awful customer service.

Popped in for lunch because I was in the area and needed to kill some time.I was on my way to MacD when I came across this place. The food is amazing, I am having the minced chicken kebab for main and had a dolma for starter. The lunch is only 7.95. So cheep considering I would have spent £6 at MacD. It's healthy and fresh. Will visit again when I am in the area.

We visited this place just before Christmas and it was good, but when we went back in Feb it was even better. The restaurant has a take away counter and lots of tables and chairs so you can eat in too.The take away trade was busy ( builders and office folk ) always a good sign.We chose a starter each and a chicken shish and mixed shish for mains. The waiter toldus that he would do these for the lunch time special of £7.95 ! We drank a really nice bottle of red wine for less than £14 . The main meals were huge and came with delicious salad and rice . There was lots and lots of really tender meat and we were given free Turkish Delight and a Turkish rice pudding to share. I always like to thank the chef Joesph was his name and he told us that they had two other restaurants with the same name.We both would definitely recommend the Charterhouse one and are planning on visiting the others.
