Great amazing food eat there all the time

Tasty fish, quick turnaround, good local chippy

Not been there before. Regular cod was rather thin and the battery was still greasy.

Used our 'Local' Fish & Chips shop.... And wanted to say how impressed we were! The fish was freshly cooked, not greasy at all and of good proportion, and the chips were fab too! Will definitely use these guys now.... Thanks!

I recommend staying away from here for as long as possible until they have to sell to new owners. As many others have stated. Severely gone down hill since the new ownership. Tried it three times now. First time ordered just chips within a 3 minute drive home they were cold. Second time ordered for myself and mum missing my mums order, called them and they said we can have a free order. Third and final time I shall ever visit went in told them what they had promised and they went back on their word making us pay for it all again. Bring back the old owners. Staff were also rude and arrogant and can’t understand English over the phone.

If I could give a lower rating I would. Ordered haddock it was well over cooked could not eat it, battered sausage was the same kebab no salad all was freezing when it arrived. Chips where the only thing that was edible even they tasted of dirty oil. Very disappointed.

I loved this place, the friendliness the menu the having a little table and chairs 💺 inside and a few outside. It was clean, tidy, warm. I asked for a drink mid meal they were so kind and said to pay for it after I'd finished my food. So the trust and respect to just go enjoy and finish your food went a long way. People regulars where returning, uber drivers and just eat it seemed a very popular place to go to. There was a short queue, but the food turnaround time was so quick I was hugely impressed. We entered with our service dog 🐕‍🦺 with her service lead on, and kindly we were not given the 3rd degree on it while in there, so we enjoyed a scrumptious meal from here. I'm so glad we spotted it and stopped. When in the area I will return. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my food then remembered halfway through. My partner gave his fish and chips a good 10/10 and also said he'd return.

Excellent fish and chip shop. Friendly staff and the fish (I had the haddock) is really meaty and delicious. A great battered fish and they even have a deal on at the moment where it’s buy one get one free on the fish which is fantastic value. Chips are delicious too as are their kebabs. A great fish and chip shop with great value prices too.

We LOVE this chip shop. The food was SO good and large portions. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Look forward to next time

I have used this Fish & Chips shop for many years. Went there tonight, all I can say is what a disappointment it was. I paid £25.00 for 3 meals. The portion size what a joke. Please come back to the previous owners. With regards to the staff all males stood there talking in their native language. All I can say is I am glad that I had my adult son with me. Then when I got home half my order was missing. The only good thing I can say is that when I called them to tell them some items had been missed, they delivered them to me within 10 mins. I will not be going there again.

I recently visited this local fish and chip shop and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the exceptional service. The fish was perfectly battered and the chips were crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside – exactly what you'd want from a classic takeaway. What really stood out, though, was the service. Anton and Sithushan went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like valued customers from the moment we walked in. Their positive attitude and attention to detail truly made the visit memorable. If you're looking for delicious food and outstanding service, I highly recommend this place – Anton and Sithushan really make it a standout!

This used to be a lovely fish and chip shop. Has recently been taken over by a bunch or rude, arrogant men. The whole time we were in there waiting for our food. They spent the entire time laughing at each customer they served. They were all talking in their native language and laughing at everyone in a derogatory manner. They were clearly being rude about the customers. It was a very uncomfortable and awkward experience. The screens detailing what foods they served were not working. They offered no further assistance to their customers and it felt as though it was a chore for them to serve people. I won’t be going back. I think it is important that people are aware how rude these people were.

Last minute ""took the children out for a quick take way came across the really nice fish a chip shop under new management. Hand a really long talk "with the staff and the " Proprietor. While waiting for my, food ,freshly cooked. the children really Enjoyed the food .like wise. If you know about the 2 brother fish restaurant that was in Golders green sadly no longer there any more .then you know .

Good food and a nice size portion of chips

Larger choice than historically, poorer quality, worst kebab I’ve had from there! Meat over cooked, And for the salad really poor also. Portion size is smaller than before too. Will be using a lot less than I use too!!

27 minutes for 3 portion of chips. Lots of staff not doing a busting amount. All the new screens look OK but getting multiple orders wrong and not having enough food cooked is adding to the problems.

I ordered a kebab from here today. Instead of serving me the attendant ranted about the construction project I work on for several minutes. Then he forgot to add any sauces to my meal. Poor food and service. Would not recommend.

We had a corporate volunteer group visit my work earlier this week. As there were quite a few, I called the order through for collection at lunchtime. Everything was ready on time and well packed for the short trip to work. Everyone I spoke to was really friendly and helpful and then helped me carry the food out to the car. As we’re a charity, we even received a discount on the order. I checked a few of the boxes as we handed them out and all were very consistent portion sizes, and nicely cooked. Our volunteers, and staff who’d ordered food, all said it was fresh, of great quality and very tasty. Lots of happy folk. Thank you Berryfields Fish Bar

Honestly the best chippy I've ever had the friendly service you receive off the staff is 2nd to none all of the staff are fantastic honest caring and give a fantastic experience the food is always amazingly fresh hot and tastes amazing chips are perfectly fluffy savaloy has amazing flavour and the onion rings are perfectly Crispy not to mention the halloumi it's sooooo good and I would always recommend them to people you honestly can't beat them there is no better chippy in aypesbury or anywhere for that matter I will always keep coming back thank you

It’s a warning to everyone. Placed an order, waited for 20 minutes. All staff busy talking and wasted my break time. Asked them if when my order is ready, this guy is extremely rude and showed the worst gratitude ever to the customers on regular basis (came to know about him from other shops yet). He told me don’t tell me to do if how I’m doing my job, which I didn’t tell him to do. They returned my money in cash which I paid in a cashless transaction. Attitude and behaviour counts a lot to run a business which they lack a lot. Customer service is zero. They don’t deserve even a single start, wish I had that option.

I had a question - do you cook your chips separately to all other things? Youve told people your meat is halal but if your frying it with the pork etc then it is no longer halal. Please confirm weather all things are fried together or not including the chips.

The fish and chips from Berryfiekds Fish Bar is first class - we live 30 miles from this fish shop so come here when visiting our family but it’s by far the best fish shop around - freshly cooked quality fish and chips - high standard of cleanliness - excellent. Would highly recommend. Friendly staff.

We were in Aylesbury visiting relatives in the first week of July and we wanted fish and chips and was told of Berryfields Fish bar. Wow what can I say everything was beautifully cooked the batter was light and crispy and the chips were delicious. We returned back to Cyprus and we will be back again when in Aylesbury.

Ordered a burger with lettuce. Recieved a Burger with loads of tomato the burger bun was stale.

Very efficient friendly staff, great cod and chips for under £10.

Slack service. Waited far too long, served last. Man behind the counter used his bare hands as ‘tongs’ on more than one occasion, i was baffled and couldn’t believe what I saw!

I have been using these guys a lot recently, and I am extremely pleased with the service. I call up for collection, and there is always polite staff there to help with any issues. I would recommend these guys to anyone in Aylesbury fancying Fish and Chips.

brilliant food. i had a problem with my uber eats delivery, which was delivered to the wrong address, i had a son waiting for his dinner patiently to arrive, anyway i rung berryfields fish bar and explained, they advised me to contact uber eats, couple minutes later i received a call back from such a lovely women, who told me her amazing manager has agreed to redo the order as it was slightly late and my son was waiting for his dinner. i can’t thank you lovely bunch enough. your food was amazing as always.

I was very disappointed with the customer service and quality of food.There was so many people but they have decided to serve other peoples even though they came afterwards. Had a Haddock and my sons vomited because haddock still had the scales under the batter. Ordered a salad and all I had was in there lots of onion and lettuce apart from two small pieces of tomato and cucumber. One thing I have notice is they look at your skin colour before they serve food for sure.

Don't use filthy staff handle money and food.

Food was alright. Very odd experience in the shop when the staff started rowing with each other over the orders whilst customers just watched on. It made for good entertainment whilst I waited a lifetime for my order. Food was ok, will be bringing a chair next next for a ringside view

Refused* to serve my Hijabi wife and told her to leave the premises on the reasoning that pork is cooked on the premises. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour- if we wanted moral policing we'd move to a country that practiced it. Edit in response to the business reply: I've always said the mark of any good business is not how they operate when things go well but how they respond when things go wrong. Needless to say that their response has underlined how poor they are in my eyes- inviting us to come back for a second go after such behaviour is frankly insulting, especially as there has been no mention of any sort of investigation, action or substantive response (even if it was just please get in touch directly so we can investigate) to my wife's experience. I understand the younger lady behind the counter was somewhat shocked by her colleague's behaviour, not to mention I am sure the incident would have been captured on CCTV. The fact that there are now two 1-star reviews mentioning experiences with racial and/or religious overtones on the same day suggests that something is seriously wrong, not least when considering the response (or lack thereof) of management to such behaviour. The mention of offering halal food is laughable when clearly there is one member of staff who has decided that Muslims should not even be on the premises, let alone served or eating food from this establishment. The lack of any sort of real response seems to demonstrate that this sort of behaviour is at least tolerated if not outright condoned by the owner/management. Fortunately for all concerned my wife does not wish to take the matter further. * Yes, out right refused, not politely advised of the circumstances as has happened in other places before which is always met with a "Oh, thanks for the advice, we'll order something else/from elsewhere.

I hardly ever write a bad review as I completely understand a business is based on reviews however I felt this time I need to. If it was me that experienced this I would say ok I am a little picky however yesterday 18.08.2022 my husband decided to surprise me with chips. When he came home i asked him what's wrong and he said it was the WORST customer service he had experienced. He said the lady that served him not once said "hello", or "how can I help," my husband asked for chips and that's exactly what he got, not a single word came out of this ladies mouth to even say thank you or a bye. My husband never ever says anything negative but when he came home he threw the chips straight in the bin and said we are never getting food from there again. I never ever pull out the race card but he said it was busy and when he got there customers were being welcomed in a professional and polite manner until it was his turn. Absolutely shocking and for him to throw food away showed how upset he was. We do a lot of local charity work feeding the more worthy so throwing food away is a no no. I hope this lady seriously learns that everyone is the same regardless of skin colour!

Had a lovely meal here and will be my go to when in the area. Portions were very generous and quality of fish was better than I’ve ever tasted…believe me I’ve had my fair share of fish and chips! Can’t go wrong with Berryfields. Will be back for the haddock next!

I enjoy the food here, with very friendly members of staff. However, on a couple of occasions when I have ordered Kebab I have found a small peace of fish there, so please be a bit careful, hence the 4 starts instead of 5. Otherwise very good food, please keep up the good work. Thank you.

Purchased a large chips, portion was small, chips were stale and most were thrown away. There was also an odd smell coming from the chips.

it's ok , it does what it is, opening times can be weird

I have used the fish bar since it has opened and have been impressed with the food. But lately, things have changed. The service has gotten worse. And the portions have gotten smaller, but the prices remain high. I used to order a mixed kebab and chips with salad. It was so big u could split it between 2 . Now it's a small offering. A large chips used to be huge. Now it's a spattering on the bottem of a box. Shame really, I used to boast good things.

The was a bit of a queue but we were served very quickly once we had ordered. Generous portions.

Have been here time and time again, wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area to be honest. Great service with a smile. Made a big order for family and it was ready quickly, they even stayed 10mins after closing to make sure the order was fulfilled. I always go for the Cod because it’s so fresh and full. Kids loved the cod bites and good value kids meals.

Fish was nice once you got passed the batter which was dry on the top and soggy on the bottom. Chips were terrible,dry and flavourless. I get that this happens from time to time at every chip shop but having been here several times to try it out its always the same. Will stick to the Codfather round the corner from now on.

My sons burger was soaked in mayo which made the roll soggy n wet, he was very upset and would not eat it. He said the texture if the bread roll is disgusting. Very dissatisfied with this fish bar.

Best fish bar around I wouldn't go anywhere else the portions are big and its all nice and fresh. It's very clean and the staff are friendly.
