Bernies Fish and Chips in Manchester

I went to Bernies Fish and Chips last week and was so impressed by the amazing service and high quality food. I had the fish, chips and mushy peas and was not disappointed. I will definitely be back again soon!

Stumbled across Bernie’s whilst driving home and it was the best discovery ever. All the food was made fresh in front of us and tasted delicious, the fish was amazing and the chips were perfect. Staff were welcoming and funny and nice to chat to. Honestly 10/10 would recommend. I live a little bit of a drive away but will be making this my regular chippy because it’s worth it.

He pedido a Bernies varias veces y debo decir que me encanta este lugar. Siempre caliente, fresco y sin que las cosas temidas se peguen al papel de regalo. El personal es muy amable y muy servicial y no tengo ningún problema en recomendarlo a nadie.

Primera vez hoy, pescado fresco y patatas fritas fantástico, tan bien que incluso les tratamos a mamá y papá de Uber come más tarde esa noche, y nuevamente excelente fantástico, sin duda nos vemos el próximo viernes, me encanta la tienda limpia y excelente servicio al cliente :)

Esta es una fabulosa tienda de pescado y papas fritas, la comida es deliciosa, una delicia cada vez. Toda la comida es genial. El personal es muy amigable. Recomiendo encarecidamente esta tienda de pescado y patatas fritas, he estado yendo aquí durante años. El mejor pescado y patatas fritas?

This is a great chippy the best fish n chips this side of Blackpool. Very clean smart little place. Good fresh food, thick meaty cod. Good service I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Delicious you’ll go back for more.

Tastiest chips around. The staff are really friendly and all the food is great. Tucked around a corner so easy to miss this hidden gem.

I've been buying food from Bernie since I was a kid from time to time there is a dodgy chip but that's to be expected when you are given a huge portion of quality chips that are actually big enough for two to share. Since Charlie got involved the place has a new buzz of energy with him trying new pies and puddings out, to get the best for customers. He might be the youngster there but boy has that ld learnt how to make good batter, his fish is amazing, Thanks Charlie! The main thing I love about this golden nugget of a shop is the polite jokey atmosphere, Bernie and staff might just be winding each other up but they provide the best entertainment by doing so which always makes the waiting times seem smaller. Keep up the good work folks

I used to work near Bernies a few years, happened to be in the area and called by this week and the food was every bit as good as ever !!!

Bernies sell the best English fish and chips this side of Yorkshire. One portion of fish & chips are plenty for two people.

Came this evening 21/8/17 first visit watched the lady make the food the pudding came from a red tin and not silver pudding also looked very dark on colour to a hollands pudding, straight away knew they wasn't hollands puddings! Got home defo didn't taste like a hollands pudding tasted peppery! Can't believe I was charged £4.10 times 3, for pudding chips and gravy to be palmed off with a pudding that isn't even hollands furious!

I always come here for the fish and chips. The fish is really meaty and a good size, crispy batter. Tastes delicious and the chips are great! I'd also recommend the scallop's soft potato covered in a golden crispy batter, so naughty!

I can guarantee you will not get better fish in the northern hemisphere. The staff are brilliant and thecfood is always fresh.

I've been going here for years, other chippys invthis area don't come close! Really friendly owners too 😊

When I want fish and chips I come here. Quite simply the best. Plus they do scallops too. Only downside curry is not the nicest. Does mean I have to go to Thom**ons for a tub of curry though!

This is the best chip shop EVER...!! Lovely staff, fantastic food always 🙂 Good old fashioned honest traditional English fish and chips. You can't get better than Bernies -not even close to it...!!

... Ir a Bernies. El lugar es un crédito para comida británica tradicional. Sirven sólo Cod, patatas fritas recién hechas, extras de calidad y nunca prisa.

I visited here and ordered the full works the white of the fish was lovely and soft the chips were soggy and pale so not cooked twice the batter was soggy and fell to pieces when putting on my plate where there should have been a crunch it was just soggy.

As chip shops go, this one is ok. Can't go along with the 5 star ratings as at the end of the day....it is just a chip shop. Friendly staff and half decent food though.

Now this place knows how to make the best fish and chips in the north=west. It does not matter what day or what time of that day there is always the most fantastic smell of good food being made. As I drive lots of miles per week, the best road always leads me to Bernies...

Make sure you get there on time to get the BEST FISH and CHIPS. Superb flavour of fish with light batter and very tasty soft chips which went well with curry sauce . The fish is not a huge wasteful portion. One is able eat all with enjoyment in every mouthful. Absolutely excellent. A rare find.
