This is a review for the place to eat on 6th floor, but there is no listing on Tripadvisor, so please pass this on. !! Called in here, from Suffolk twice in August on the way to Hillingdon hospital to visit a sick parent. The food was okay, but lukewarm and very expensive (£2.50 for 7 chips) The cake was £4.25 per slice and was definitely not fresh. We did not have time to complain as the queues were horrendous and the staff a bit gormless, so we ate and left as we were on a time constraint, but one would expect more of John Lewis. I foresee this to be the next high street casualty !

Very pleased with the atmosphere of this place. Super quiet and cosy. Selection of nibbles and snacks as well as proper sandwiches is amazing! We’ve tried quite a few and impressed with quality! Great place for a shopping break lunch! 👍

Very miserable service. Had something happened in the kitchen? Seriously scratching my head to remember the last time the till assistant failed to smile, say please or say thank you in a cafe. A very poor reflection on John Lewis indeed.

I had high hopes for coffee and pastries after good service at JL in years gone-by. There were no plates available (it was not busy) so the pastries were served on saucers and the cutlery did not match. The tables had not been wiped and the ledge by the window was filthy. Cash is not accepted - only cards. Those things did not alter the fact that the coffee and pastries were good, but at the prices charged better service is expected.

Mistakenly thought this was a John Lewis cafe. Dreadful experience. Surly service. Had a cheddar and chutney baguette which was supposed to be toasted. The outer edge was warm and the cheese inside was still fridge cold. The pricey scone can only be described as tasting like hay from a stable. Ate the first half and thought maybe the baguette had affected my tastebuds so waited 15 mins before eating the second half which I quickly abandoned. It was awful. Hot chocolate was tasty but barely lukewarm. Would not recommend this when you can travel another couple of floors up and use the John Lewis cafe. How this franchise was approved is beyond me.

Shocking prices at Benugo John Lewis Sloane Square - £4 for a scone with butter. Live locally but will not be returning.

The very small café is on the first floor of John Lewis. It serves a very small range of cakes and salads. All items are served in takeaway cups/containers, no crockery or cutlery (wooden forks) as they have no dishwashing facility.. All items are pre-packaged we opted for the carrot cake which nice and moist. I get the feeling this café is for people who just want to stop and sit while their other half’s do some shopping! If all you want is a hot drink in a takeaway container and to rest your legs and this is fine but I would head to the fifth floor if you want something more substantial and crockery.

The service is definitely friendlier but the tea is the same- how much does a tea bag cost? Clipper Organic comes to 4p a bag, retail price & we pay over £2 for rubbish. Think about it? Much cleaner now, too.

Travelled to London for meeting and came in for coffee to prepare. 2x pots of tea and a cake. Tea cup dirty, spoons water stained. Sticky table. Water glass with lipstick mark. Water fountain placed on split window sill with black damp stain. Staff distant and no interaction past taking order. Really disappointed and wouldn't return. Expensive and lacked the touches you would expect.
