Lovely place to sit and enjoy a coffee while looking out over Willen Lake. We haven't actually had a meal there, so can't comment, but it looks lovely.

Decent and affordable, only thing I didn't like though was the coffee in the plastic cups. ☕ But overall it was lovely to sit down and look out the window at the scenery 🪟

You need to come here early morning When they still have food When there is no screaming children everywhere When you can sit outside and sip coffee while you stare at the calm water and are able to get a seat outside .

Food and drink was great. Be warned if you visit early on a Saturday morning as Park Run finishes just outside so the coffee shop is very busy.

Great place to sit in or grab a takeaway. Friendly and efficient staff. The seating area outside overlooks the lake, with limited seating inside.

I went in just after a parkrun for a drink and a oatbar. The staff were busy with their backs to me and then one of them wandered off. I waited a while until the other turned to serve but instead of serving me and without asking who was next, they served a person who can't in after me. Never been back

Very expensive with very limited selection. Now only serving pizzas after 12:30. Poor customer care and service.

Food and coffee is good. Unfortunately coffee is only served in to go cups, tables not get cleaned though staff is hanging around with nothing to do. A pity that the potential of the venue is not used in a better way.

A pointless cafe that no longer does breakfast and took ages to make 2 coffee's. I won't bother going back

The area is warm and lighting is comfortable, music is good, however, they claim the hygiene is 5 stars here but I saw staff sitting in sofa putting her shoes on the edge of the coffee table. Another staff is cleaning the table carefully but the floor is dirty. A fly is flying indoor and landed on my finished dishes while it’s winter at the moment. Not sure if it is due to a off peak season, the bread and cakes rack are almost empty at weekdays 3:30pm, not much choice of food here. One muffin cost £3/pc and one SMALL hot chocolate cost £3.4, when compare to the other restaurant is selling £9.9 for two main courses, this cafe is definitely overpriced and maybe that’s why we are the only client here. Muffin taste alright and coffee is fine, but just too small.

Good location but awful and unorganized service, very rude staff. Our order was taken and paid but never cooked until we asked again and waited another 30 minutes. It is also quite dirty...

Used to do a good quality breakfast menu, no longer serving which is a massive disappointment. We recommended to friends then turned up disappointed. Also, they have never opened to top section when I have been on around 5 visits now, which is so frustrating to cram downstairs. I wanted to enjoy this place, but I won’t be visiting just for a coffee.

Competition near by much cheaper these are "london prices as many say" . Pizzas hot foods etc used to be good but I'm informed only served when business is busy. Business needs a re think

Had coffee there which is delicious and has a rich taste! The view is spectacular and relaxing on a weekday morning. Loved it

Visited today for the first time and wont be back. Coffee and tea were nice, however the rest of the experience was poor. Had to ask 2 times to get the bun we had ordered and 3 times to get the glasses of water we ordered. Waited 30 minutes for our pizza, and when we asked where it was turns out they hadn't started cooking it. Eventually it arrived however was without any tomato sauce on the base as stated on the menu. Thankfully they refunded our pizza without us having to ask due to the long delay, but the incredibly poor service, dirty surroundings and overpriced food/drink would put off us from returning.

Love coming here for a cappuccino and a delicious almond croissant on a Saturday morning. The girls behind the counter are lovely; I'm not exactly rushing out the door to jump on a train and so wouldn't expect them to be working at breakneck speed ;)

Rubbery bread, little choice, no way of warming food. The view of the lake earned the star

Although clean and tidy the girls behind the coffee bar are painfully slow, orders were all wrong, didn’t care and just talked all the time. Soooo slow

Hopeless leadership and communication skills

Went for coffee and bacon sandwich. Paid by card and was not offered my receipt. When I asked for it was given a very loud eye roll and handed a random receipt which was not mine. Coffee was good and hot but we waited 30 minutes for our bacon roll. Not even that busy only 2 other tables having food. They were not worth the wait and our coffee was finished. None of the staff seem to have been on any customer service courses and were a bit surly but had excellent skills in hair tossing and eye rolling. What was wrong with the old hut that served proper bacon butties and tea.

Very Tasty pizza, however staff not too friendly. Or we were just “lucky”. Our table wasn’t clean. Had to clean ourselves, nowhere to get the cleaning spray. Staff very busy as it’s Sunday. However i still believe there should be someone looking after tables and hygiene

Tables dirty and staff clearly not trained to tidy up the place… not good when you have a 2-yr old trying to eat at the table… £4.20 for a carrot cake is ridiculous too…

Service was great from the girls on the tills downstairs the one that made my cappuccino 🔥 was the best caramel cappuccino I had. The went upstairs and was served by Bogi great service looked after myself n kids well 🙏🏾👊🏾. We definitely be back here again 💯🖤

I was initially a bit sceptical about spending any money or time based on the reviews I have read, i suggest you judge for yourselves. When we entered I was greeted by helpful staff and was served by Victoria (Manageress) who was friendly and helpful, whilst another member of staff was cleaning the ligh fittings 🤔 was this a set up... no just a new manageress try to make a difference. I have no affiliations with the establishment, our experience was a pleasant one contrary to the reviews. The toilets are unisex but if you prefer there are free facilities just outside.

I love this restaurant, particularly the salmon salad. The restaurant is just such a wonderful and relaxing place to have a bite to eat. The prices are reasonable and since I’ve discovered this place we eat there a couple times a month.

Is nice that you can rest there and enjoy a nice lake view however it would be great if they would introduce a more diversified menu.

Just heard the manageress quote that they are concentrating on making it a very fine dining experience. You should really sort out the basic cafe before you make this leap. The area was dirty. The staff on the drinks counter didn't have a clue on what they were doing, maybe they need to concentrate more on the customer than laughing and joking about with each other.

This was a 90th birthday party. The food was superb, drinks i.e. coffe was cool. But it was very nice and most importantly the birthday girl had a good time.

Not keen on the unisex toilets. They were quite dirty especially the floors . Also no disabled toilet that I could discover which meant it was difficult for me to use. Could do better

Got pull pork burger for lunch, once order has arrived to the table the bun was fridge cold. Returned to kitchen, buns where heated on a grill, but assuming usually they are not warmed and served to the tables. Once finally tried burger I or my partner could not taste any taste of pork, also there was souse used in the burger which reminded HP souse and all you can taste was it. Price of burger with chips and coleslaw salad in which where way to much mayo £13. Not worth money at at all. Most likely not coming back there.

Good menu, kids options and us adults to. Sat on upper level overlooking the lake and was lovely in the August sun. Staff OK, it was very busy as a Sunday, sunny and everything going on. Food was good, quality and hot.

It is the best place for fun as a family and also acquire swimming skills.

Fantastic food stop overlooking Willen Lake. Staff were reasonably helpful, place was clean and good well stocked. It is slightly marked up in price but everything is at Willen now! Food was lovely, would come back again.

I just had a coffee but it was ok

First time coming here but they really need to get rid of all the cobwebs outside where theights are as it's git loads if spiders in them. The whole wooden wall is full of cobwebs and spiders. Yuk

Staff are slow and lazy. Didn't want to serve an alcoholic beverage because they ran out down stairs and didn't want to get it from upstairs bar. Cob webbs everywhere. No understanding of cleaning. Pizzas are very good appart from that a big letdown

Why is it always dirty? Dust and food on the floors, food and spilled juice on the tables. Cob webs everywhere too.. the pizzas are perfect but the place really needs to be kept clean.

Struggling with a basic menu we decided to just get drinks. £6.80 for 2 very basic hot chocolates, I find this place to be over priced. To order you scan the QR on the table, it brings you to a website. The website had a glitch and wouldn't allow us to see the menu. Menus are available inside, so you can grab a paper copy . There's an upstairs too. There are pre done sandwiches inside if you prefer.. They have such a great view and seating area, they just need to get the website to flow easily, or put out menus, and drop the prices, as we are looking over a lake in MK, not London.

Cold over priced food! Coffee horrible Was expecting alot more for the price we paid. Service was poor staff not bothered or helpfull! Would not visit again! So surprised they are getting away with it.

Been here before. Place on first floor can complain to much. Different story on ground floor. Came in on Sunday morning for breakfast. Just few tables occupied. Not busy. Guys on till do not look confident. Came to ask if they serve any breakfast (first floor was closed for event). Been directed to go back and take meniu. Ok, let's do it. We took menus and sat down. After we decided what to have went to tills. Been told to wait for other costumers, who came back after us and. They where still deciding what to have. That's strange. There is no sense in who is ordering first, who is getting drinks first. Got our food. Had to come back for our drinks (2c lattes and 1x tee). Guys forgot to make them. As I understand one girl was new or still on training. Ok, we all been there. No problem at all. Girl on espresso machine looks like she knows what she does. Apparently NO. You charge +3 pounds per coffee. I do expect to get nice latte. While I was waiting for my drinks, I saw she just poured 3 lattes from same milk jug. That's not latte. Those where milky coffee drinks. Been working as barista long time ago. Sorry guys, but you NEED TO WAKE UP AFTER COVID. what ever stuff you do there, you can't call it work. It's disrespect to customers, disrespect to business owners. Lots and lots of training.

Went for Easter day great for a day out with the family. Food was amazing and plenty of choice for the kids, the water park is literally in front of the restaurant which is nice.

Nice roof top with a great view of the lake. Highly advised.

One of the best pizza I have had in a while. Plenty of space outside and dogs are welcome and also cared for. Can’t wait to come back and try the breakfast menu!

Where do I start…. This was our second visit in a few. First visit wasn’t the best experience but we gave it the benefit of doubt/ bad day.. That was the first mistake. Placed and order of just one pizza and provided our table number and went upstairs to sit on our table. Sat there patiently for 30 mins in which time we were offered at least 3/4 times somebody else’s food which we declined. Anyway, we asked one of the waitresses to check on our order as people coming after us had received their food. Waited and waited and waited to the waitress to come back with a response. Finally a manger called Tanny came to our table to inform us that we made an error when placing the order because even tho we had given our table number at the point of order apparently they have the same number tables upstairs as well as downstairs ??? How abused. I asked the manager how would I know this and surely if the staff are aware of this the. when I placed my order they should have asked if we are sitting upstairs or down… I went back downstairs to see if there was any signs stating this which there are non. Just says give your table number. You can imagine when the manager decided to blame us for their mistake it totally infuriated us. At this point it was 40 mins since we placed our order. The manager didn’t at any point apologise but said I can ask the kitchen do make your order at which point I demanded a refund. For the next 15 mins we watched the manager stand behind the bar doing anything but to sort the refund out. I had to get up and go to the bar to demand my refund which took all of a minute to hand my money over. Clearly the manager thought wasting 50 mins of our time wasn’t sufficient she would make us suffer more. Never would i ever recommend this place. Avoid at all cost

Place was really busy but very clean and fast service, nice atmosphere and great coffee.

They do one of the best bacon 🥓 rolls in Milton Keynes

Went on a sunny Saturday so booked a table to beat the crowds. Sadly their employees aren’t the brightest and told us you couldn’t book a table, even though we had an email confirmation. There was a 45 minute wait for anything hot, tables were dirty and it was chaotic even though it actually wasn’t yet busy. We got out as quickly as we could. Avoid this place if you can.

30 minutes to queue for a coffee and when I finally got it it was cold!!! Staff didn't care

Great view, terrible service. What a shame. Uncleaned tables everywhere, toilets out of order, staff (seriously all of them) looks like they been forced to be serving people. I you dont like serving people, why would you get a job in restaurants?

Good food and service. Lovely to sit on ample terrace and enjoy the spring sun and view over the lake. Playground next door was ideally suited for grandchildren

Lovely visit nice and clean great coffee

Average coffee, had a bit of a strange taste. Felt that the music was too loud on the outside terrace. Staff attitude needs to be addressed, one particular staff member was rude, bored and uninterested, lacking basic understanding of customer service. Altho it is a nice setting, I wouldn't go back due to the service experienced from the staff today.

Location is nice but everything is overpriced for what's available and plastic cups and plates are left on tables.

The prices here are pathetic at the moment it is £7 for a salad and 14 pound for the Willen burger these prices are appauling. prices for a this quality of a resturaunt is very bad it might as well be a shop at an airport you might as well spend you money and time making the food yourself

Pretty poor, it has to be said. Not enough tables inside, upstairs closed; most tables outside uncleared or dirty. Not the experience I was expecting after a nice long walk.

Beside being overpriced, as lots of people's says, it was also so dirty! I was before noon in workday, it wasn't crowded, just employees was just standing chatting (about subjects they should not talk publicly, not mention if you are in work and surrounded by customers). So they have plenty of time to clean anything, but they just choice not to. Shame! Ps. That's my 2nd review cos 1 disappeared, but there was pictures about how dirty place is (with was shocked for me since it's COVID time and No1 even swapping tables!

Pollo pesto pizza was delicious

Went in this morning with my wife for a snack and they had virtually no stock ! They gave the usual excuses of lack of delivery drivers , get in a car and go to Costco down the road and fill your display fridges up ! Because if you ain’t got it you can sell it !

Lovely place inside however £7.20 for a flat white and bakewell tart. The coffee was £3 and cake £4.20. Not sure if this was right but poor customer service and not replied after making contact about it

Had breakfast with kids this morning at the new bar&restaurant in Willen Lake. Location is stunning and despite the cafe being really busy because of the runners, service was fast and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Their salmon on toast was delicious and they even took care of my puppy with a bowl of fresh water. Highly recommended.

I've just been to willen lake today with a friend. Well how disappointed we were. Firstly there was very few cakes or pastries to choose from. Plus you can only get your coffee in a cheap takeaway cup.Then most disappointly we went to the decking area to sit. Most of the tables still had the remains of the last customer's food on it or around the ground. It wasn't busy so cleaning shouldn't be a issue to be honest. Won't be back

I’ve just had the full English breakfast here. Despite it being busy it came really quickly and was delicious. Nice friendly service too, and the online ordering worked well. Recommended!

Whilst the prices are rather generous, Benugo is very well situated and provides stunning views of the lake. We are yet to try the restaurant but the coffee and ice cream were lovely.

Central London/Airport prices have arrived at Willen Lake. £2 500ml water or 330ml can of Coke, £6 pints! Limited menu of average looking food. The over priced chicken salad baguette I had was average, about the same quality as you'd find in Boots. Long term and when it's cold this place will be empty. I hope they revise prices or close asap.

If you will look for new job that place is amazing. Team is very lovely and helpful. You will never be bored here 😃

Impromptu tea and breakfast at Benugo. Lovely day, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff and nice English breakfast.

I recently started to use Benugo at Willen Lake along with my dog and I have to say the manager and staff are a credit to your company. Always made to feel welcome and the first thing they do is bring a fresh bowl of water out for my fur baby. I hope to be able to frequent here often.

Beautiful views, stunning decor and a great variety of delicious food and drinks! upstairs has a balcony perfect for an evening drink overlooking the lake. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, would 100% recommend

Espresso includes lipstick… no smoking place anywhere…but nice view.

Food was good, and service was speedy. Coffee was good. You can order from your table which is helpful. 2 storey so lots of srats with great view across lake. Best part is dog friendly with plenty of outside seating

Absolute rip off. Bought kids box meal for £5.50, it had half a thin cheese sandwich, a bag of popcorn and an apple!!! Also bought a small blt sandwich, cost £4.40!!! What a joke! Toilets are unisex and were filthy. Will not be returning.
