We have been coming here kind of regularly for the last year or so, as it is quite convenient because my wife works nearby. The food is absolutely sublime. We have tried most of the dishes and there is not a single fault I can think of with any of them. It is not just the food but the service is courteous too and considering that there is constantly a queue it moves very quickly, which is quite impressive. I don’t know if it was a good idea to write this review as it might entice more people to come. Also, I recently decided not to write reviews for average places but when you are in front of excellence how can one resist ? It might be under the banner of Quick Bites but in terms of quality of food it is amazing. Obviously, it wouldn’t be posh enough to be compared to top restaurants but if you take away the grading system and focus on the food, I think this place would easily sit next to a Michelin star restaurant. Allright, allright, I said it !

Here you can taste a wide arrange of real, incredibly tasty japanese food. I’ve found the katsudon absolutely mouth-watering but you can choose among many other delicious dishes. I left the restaurant really satisfied because I wasn’t able to find a place to eat some japanese food as good as the one I had when I visited Japan!

I used to go here three times a week for lunch. Service is incredible - so efficient, so nice! Very good chicken katsu teryaki bowls.

Good is awesome here, I’ve been a few times and it is really nice! Katsu Chicken Curry the best! Nice staff, fast and efficient, always has lots of people wanting to eat there. Highly recommended.

Bento-Ya is a true gem in the Bloomsbury area. The quality of the preparation is a genuine display of the care the staff have about their food, and I have no complaints about quality or authenticity of flavour! By far the best takeaway lunch option in the vicinity, and includes true comfort foods you can’t get at other local lunch takeaway venues such as their excellent Katsu Don. The salmon is great quality well prepared, and the Katsu Curry perfect for a rainy/cold day. The staff are really friendly and welcoming - I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to pop in one lunchtime to do so! I guarantee you most certainly will not be disappointed!

Dai, is the chef of this genuine Japanese resturant take-away. I have been eating his cooking for years when he was chef in a MayfairJapanese resturant (Ikeda). Mayfair quality with less than half the price.

Reasonably priced , large portions , delicious authentic Japanese food, good variety menu . We can take away , properly packed . Strongly recommend to those who love home cooked delicious Japanese comfort food .

Just as the title says, this place is the best in town for a Japanese Lunch (and i have been to a few). Forget all the chains the quality of the sushi & hot dishes on the menu set this place apart. Very fast efficient service. Don't worry about the queue's out the door - it moves quickly.

The place is small and busy, with people coming and going to get food.. and there is a good reason: the food is extremely good, we tried several plates and they were all amazing. We will come back!

Best Chicken Katsu Curry in London I’m my opinion. Actually didn’t want to leave a review so this place stayed a bit under the radar, but I think it’s getting pretty popular anyway. Sushi and other things on the menu are really good too. But the Chicken Katsu curry is seriously superb, amazing sauce and amazing chicken. Really nice staff and super quick service. Sushi is really nice. Not cheap for a lunch time takeaway but the quality makes it worth it. When I’m local I always come in at lunch!

Found this gem of a restaurant tucked away near Warren St tube whisc serves the best Sushi I have ever tasted....forget the fast food Sushi you get elsewhere as this us all handmade by Chef Dai who is rather popular on YouTube. Great service with a smile and always top quality, delicious food. Warm food also served such as Yakitori chicken. If you love your sushi then head here...

Stumbled on this as I was deciding on lunch and didn’t fancy either McDonalds or Pret A Manger on Warren Street. The soft shell crab sushi rolls were great! Good seating outdoors when sunny. 6 stools inside to side on a long table against a wall. Would recommend for a quick and somewhat healthy lunch.

In a saturated Japanese takeaway market, a place which makes authentic, genuingly tasty Japanese food stands out from the pack, and Bento-ya certainly delivers! I would be more than happy to pay double the price for their bento boxes , they really are that good.. The only downside; prepare to queue ...but it's worth it!!
