Bento King Withington Store in Manchester

I have never visited this place in real life however I order from hair when I am wanting a takeaway. They are always so helpful and lovely over the phone. And they always speedily deliver my food to me. I really like the chow mein here as it tastes like a very standard British Chinese chow mein, and although I love the super authentic stuff, this reminds me of memories with my family and friends. The prawn toast here is also good, and isn't too greasy compared to other places.

For our vegetarian friends, the takeaways extensive vegetarian menu offered a delightful mix of flavors. The Vegetable Stir-Fry was a colorful and vibrant assortment of fresh vegetables cooked to retain their crispness, paired with a delectable sauce.

our delivery driver, tried to leave whilst he gave me £2 change from £25 when my order was £16 and i didn’t realize so when i did i waved him back and he came back fully knowing what he done. very dodgy, need to get more trustworthy and honest drivers!

Doesn’t accept card, and is considerably a lot more expensive than other local Chinese takeaways- I will not be ordering again sorry

Cancel orders without rhyme or reason. Say's the are open until 12:30 but orders are cancelled way before that.

I think it’s unfair for this restaurant to have those one star review. From my experience, food taste really nice. Fresh and hot! One of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve ate. I only believe what I ordered not those haters.

I placed an order at around 12am on 17th of May, the delivery guy calls me and tells he is outside, even though I asked for a door delivery. I go downstairs, he is not there, I wait for 5 minutes and he calls again and says he's outside Mcdonalds and wants me to walk all the way there to pick up my order. I then have to walk away from my flat in the middle of the night to meet him to get my order. He gives my one bag which is not what I ordered. I show him my receipt and exactly what I ordered and he tells me, "thats what he was given and tries to give it to me. I tell him that's not what I've ordered and I'm not taking it. First I ordered 3 different things (shouild be 3 containers and it's only one container in the bag. Secondly I'm vegetarian so I can't eat and what he's trying to give me is definitely a meat dish. (clearly he made a mistake and delivered the wrong food). I tell him I'm not prepared to take it, but he tells me the takeaway is now closed and you can't call them. I walk back to my flat and he shouts at me to take the wrong order and leaves it on the floor in the middle of the street. First time ordering from here and it will be the last! Terrible service and horrible experience.

Would give 0 if I could placed a first order on uber eats for £15 off and this place cancelled my order with no explanation its not like they can't claim money back. Disappointed now having to go elsewhere its later before we eat.

AWFUL! Don’t bother! Address is irrelevant because they won’t knock on your door when they arrive! Then just eat will only give you 50% back on the total of the food you ordered that you didn’t get to eat

I would give zero stars if I could. The rice I got was dry and plain, completely lacked seasoning. Same thing for the noodles, they did not taste like anything and the chicken was wet, soggy and weird. Fifteen pounds wasted, will definitely not order again and I recommend no one does either.

£4.50 for cold salt and pepper chips with raw onion chunked in is a p iss take how they justify there prices is beyond belief i go to yummys but it was closed theirs are £3.00 pipping hot ...JOKE

Very expensive for what i got, £9:50 for crispy duck with plum sauce, it wasnt what i expected, very disappointed. I got a few pieces of meat the rest was onion and pineapple. The order was £21:50 and not much to show for it.

Good: crispy beef was alright and delivery relatively quick. Prawn toast was decent. Bad: requested curry sauce to go with battered chicken balls - got given sweet and sour sauce. Chicken tasted like it had been boiled and frozen. Singapore noodles said would come with prawns etc - only got chicken and tiny amounts of beef (it was £8.80!). Sweet and sour sauce looked radioactive but even despite this, it was pretty flavourless. Hot & sour soup looked and tasted like it was watered down sweet & sour sauce. Overall, really disappointing and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I’m so happy it is still open now! Qualify food and nice service. I’ve ordered three times and never disappointed. I like the salt and pepper dishes most, the Dim Sim taste good as well. Btw, there is a 10% off if directly order from the shop! So don’t miss the discount if you order. definitely recommend.

we ordered from here about a week ago, quite late as well .. first the lady who took our order on the phone was polite and lovely. the delivery driver was also lovely. The food, was Hot not greasy and was amazing. I’m very fussy with Chinese food and this has to be the nicest Chinese I have ever ordered. I honestly cannot wait to order from here again, probably this week. food didn’t take to long and delivered all the way to Salford. 10/10 from us, best Chinese.

This place used to deliver nice Chinese food. However recently quality went down. Updated 23/3/19. Nice and tasty food finally back on track. Keep it that way.

Always go to Bento King and never had a problem. Food is always excellent (specifically the Singapore Noodles!). Don't know what the guys in the other reviews are going on about!

Possibly the worst takeaway experience of my life. The food took 2 hours to come, half the order was missing, and their was little attempt at an apology. They even lied and told us the driver had crashed on his way from the shop. Genuinely can't think of a business that's run worse...

Spent £80 and the service we received was frankly awful.. The food was so late, and we received little apology. When it eventually came, literally half of the order was missing and we had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes to receive this food. All of this meant when it eventually arrived, the food wasn’t warm and was frankly poor quality. We’ve used this takeaway so much over the past couple of years and this would’ve been okay if the restaurant were helpful and apologetic but this is the end of us shopping at bento king, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

food came very late, half of the order was forgotten and what we did have was poorly cooked and overpriced. Do not order from here, save ur cash and buy a ready meal instead.

I'm disappointed to be leaving this review but here goes... I've been ordering from Bento king for some now - either from my just-eat account or my partners. Service has been swift and consistent. We were happy with what we got each time and the food arrived hot and on time. Bento King aren't the cheapest, but I tended not to mind at least I knew it was good quality. That was until last night. After a long weekend we decided to treat ourselves to a takeway. We both ordered the same dish. I'm sorry to say the the food tasted truly horrible. It was bland, tasteless, lacking in any redeemable qualities. It's main characteristic was that is was 'watery'. We both threw our food away - a total waste of £20. We contacted Just-Eat, who acted professionally to our messages. They contacted Bento on our behalf. Bento came back and said that the food was cooked exactly the same, via the same chef to the same standards - which to me reads ' it's your fault you thought the food was terrible'. It's not the error of the food that I take umbridge with - it's there unwillingness to deal with our compliant. If they had taken ownership of the issue it would of been fine. This is not how to deal with repeat customers. I will not be ordering takeaway from a Bento King again. A truly depressing experience.
