Benny's Bistro in Belfast

This is the worst place I’ve dined in ever in my life ! There is no way that those chefs are qualified wouldn’t give the food to a dog and that's me being nice. The service was spot on from the waiting staff but as for the food taste and presentation was brutal .

Servicio amable, muy limpio. Almuerzo encantador, comí sopa de champiñones casera y pan de trigo, mi esposo comió sándwich de pollo, jamón asado, relleno y arándanos en pan de granero, un sándwich bien relleno y una porción de papas fritas. Té para dos, todo para 15, muy razonable. Definitivamente regresaremos.

Recomendaría su sopa y sándwich combo. Mi papá tenía el estofado y el pan de trigo. Todo muy bueno. Excelente servicio.

Fui hoy con un amigo la comida fue absolutamente asquerosa. Las patatas fritas fueron quemadas, el cartón era como el cartón. La tortilla tenía cebollas crudas, huevos quemados. No recomendaría este lugar a mi peor enemigo. Cuando llegamos al lugar hasta que el hombre preguntó estaba todo bien, dijimos que no, dijo que tenía que inspeccionarlo. Dije que adelante tomara el precio de una parte de las fichas de su factura. Era un hombre muy ignorante. no le hizo gracia cuando le dije que no todo estaba bien. pagamos 20 pds por lasgne chips una tortilla 2 bebidas que espero obtener un almuerzo decente, un servicio con una sonrisa, por no mencionar que rompí mi tarjeta de crédito casi tirándonos. No volveré a ese lugar.

Definitivamente no frecuentaría este lugar. Nuevamente, la comida fue pobre. Las papas fritas se quemaron. Lasaña negra estaba dura como una roca. Mi amiga comía tortilla y las papas fritas. Las papas fritas estaban quemadas. La tortilla negra era queso y cebolla y muy sosa. . Al ser un visitante de Escocia, no volveré a usar este lugar nunca más, el hombre que trabaja allí es muy grosero y no tiene habilidades con las personas. . ! ! !

Called here as another local eatery stopped serving breakfast menu at 12 noon. Ordered simple scrambled eggs and brown toast 2 x rounds with two sausages. You shouldn't go wrong with this as it's as simple as. The portion of scrambled egg which at £4.50 was miserable and needed plenty of sauce and salt. The sausages were obviously cooked early that morning and kept reheated at a separate £1 each you would expect them reasonably fresh. So for 2 x scrambled egg and toast with one tea and a coke, the bill was just under £18 lol I could believe it. When I went to pay a lady and her daughter left nearly all if their fry which was probably left heated for hours also. Seriously need to get their act together as a cafe. Needless to say never again. £18 for two portions of scrambled egg and toast with a drink each, small portions too, lol. Benny Hills this should be named.

I popped in for a spot of lunch as I was out shopping. We ordered our food and the staff were pleasant enough. When our food came out I almost thought they had brought out a child size portion. Luckily due to the salt content in the food I'm glad that the portion was not any larger. I had the chicken curry and my other half had a baguette, we also had a drink each. Our meal cost £24:50!!!!!! However the worst bit was when I paid, I handed over the extorsoniate amount of cash and when the fellow gave me the change he placed it on the counter in front of me and slide it across almost like he didn't want to touch me. I find this extremely rude!! I don't think I will be back, especially at those prices

Called in for a breakfast as our car was getting serviced. Noticed the place was very quiet. Got 2 menus and were ready to order. One of the staff were chatting away to a friend for eternity and the other was nowhere to be seen. The wait was that long we had to leave and go elsewhere. No wonder the place is empty if they struggle to serve more than 2 people

Had breakfast in here on sat while my car was getting serviced . Ordered the French toast and bacon with maple syrup. Unfortunately the bread looked like it was brushed with egg and not dipped so left it a bit dry and the maple syrup was the golden syrup imitation so disappointing . The service is friendly and the place is clean so would try again ... just maybe order differently .

Terrible do not order the chicken curry got a nice bowl of chips but as for the curry 6 pieces of chicken with 3 spoons of curry for £7.95 complete rip off better of stopping at your local grauge hot deli for a better filling

Popped in for an early lunch never having been before. Chicken and ham pie was a microwaved soggy mess. The display counter was drab, the food looked like yesterdays leftovers. I have given one star for the service which was pleasant. Definitely won't be back.

We called here for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. The earthy flavours of the mushrooms contrasted well with the spiciness of the red onion in my bowl of thick, warming soup. The thick slice of wheaten bread was very fresh. My wife's stew had plenty of mince and potatoes and was a hearty bowlful. The filter coffee was good. We will return.

We were close by so thought we woud give them a 2nd chance to see if they had improved.... soooo wrong THEY ARE WORSE. Friend asked for a portion of chips and 1 egg - when it came it had 2 eggs and the waitress said there was 2 eggs as it cost the same as a portion of chips and 1 egg. She thought great but she wouldnt be able to eat 2 eggs thats why she asked for 1.. When we asked for soe brown sauce we were given 1 small sachet - when asked for more we were told we were only allowed 1 sachet. Seriously is this war time rations? When the bill came we were charged for the 2 eggs.... I asked for a refund for 1 egg as we didnt ask for it - oh my god you would think we asked her to dress up as a sheep and go bahhh.... I assume she is the manager - Michelle, she started shouting at me "did she eat the egg" "am I for real asking for a refund of only 95p" "we do not serve 1 egg you have to buy 2 eggs" How dare she, who does she think she is - I am the customer and if I have been overcharged then I am more than entitled to a refund without having to take all her rudeness and ignorance. Bennys should take a look at their staff and train them in good customer service. It is not as if this place is cheap - £3.25 for a small plate of chips.... Chips were overcooked, eggs rubbery and my stew was tasteless.. We will never be back and I would caution anyone thinking of going there. Rude Staff Charges for items not requested Poor quality food Dirty Tables and surroundings.

We called into Benny's for a quick bite today. Comfy sofas, nice sweet treats and great coffee. The young man at the till (didn't catch his name, unfortunately) was really helpful and sold us a bag of delicious Bailies coffee beans to go. We'll be back.

Called in here on Sunday at 4.40 as we fancied a roast dinner.... the opening hours said they were open until 6pm so plenty of time... after sitting down for 5 minutes waiting on a menu a member of staff came over and said we are closed. I asked why as they open until 6pm he simply shrugged his shoulders and said "bleh"... there were other customers sitting down to their meals. We felt embarrassed and left - never to go back again.

I always like to give a local place a chance rather than go to a big chain. Sometimes that's a mistake. I was here mid-afternoon for a cup of coffee and a slice of something sweet... and that's what I got. I'm not at all...

Been there a while ago was nice, but shall not be back. Benny's Breakfast was spoiled by a greasy egg plonked on top of potato bread making it inedible. Rest of wasn't too bad except for horrible cheap sausage. Miserable looking staff too.

I have been to Benny's three times now and it is fantastic. Great range on the menu, serves fresh quality food. From traditional choices to great lunches.
