Awful, waited too long and rice smelled off.

just got a takeaway waited an hour and a half the drivers never have change and 2 outta the 4 rices smelt like cat pee never order again 40 quid wasted

DISGUSTING!!! RICE SMELT LIKE CAT PISS AND THIEVING DRIVER !, delivery man is new but my order came to £19 and I gave him a twenty pound note before I could even say keep the change he just walked away with it i know its only a pound but thats cheeky also on another occasion aswell. Need to get new drivers Also takes longer than said to arrive. Won't be ordering again!!!!!

Superb food. Faultless. The restaurant is small and when we visited the staff seemed overwhelmed at times. Waiting times were a little long but not too bad for us. Other tables did have to ask a few times about when their food was coming. We had been told that there was a bar or bring you own but when we ordered a bottle of wine there was none. That said, they went out to the off licence for a bottle for us. In summary, class food but front of house a bit chaotic.

So incredibly slow would not be able to ever return. Place was not busy. Zero explanation or apologies , with almost 90 minutes to get main courses. Delivery driver in at the same time similarly waited for half eternity for a small order.

Visited this Restaurant on a Friday evening with no prior booking. We thought we might have to wait long to get seated but we got in within 5 minutes. The service was really fantastic and the food was too good but a bit expensive. The staff were all very kind and so pleasing to make us feel comfortable in every single way. Ordered Bengal special Biryani and it was served very quickly and didn't really have to wait very long. When our drinks had spilled on the table, they were kind enough to get us another drink as replacement and got to clean up the mess immediately. One of the staff also offered to give us a complimentary drink when we were done but we turned it down. Very customer friendly and definitely will visit again. It was a perfect evening spent in an unforgettable spot.

Went here today, 31st July with my husband and kids. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. We were all stuffed afterwards and they also had a kids menu available for my youngest. Highly recommend. Parking available close by down from it. My 9 year old got the chicken stripes and chips said they were delicious. Still stuffed 4 hours later... 😍🙂

It was my first time trying this restaurant and although it was very busy the staff was friendly and welcoming. The service was good and the new owner came out and welcomed us which was a nice personal touch. The food was delicious and the wait was reasonable considering how busy they were. The byo is an added bonus and the atmosphere was relaxed.. I'd have liked a bit of background music but overall it was a lovely eating experience. The toilets were spotless which for me is a good sign plus in a restaurant it reflects alot about the overall cleanliness of the place. The only criticism I have is when the staff clear a table they use a very strong detol/bleach spray and the adjoining tables with food could be effected..for me it is a bit off putting..a soap and water solution would be enough for a table clear down and then a stronger disinfectant when the restaurant closes so customers don't get that strong smell rather that the wonderful aroma coming from the food..I will definitely be returning and with just a couple of tweaks and considering it has just reopen, we had a brilliant night ..thank you.

I would love to review the food but the only problem was that it never turned up. Ordered meals for delivery at 5.59pm. Was told it would be about an hour due to being very busy and they had a promotion on. No problem I can wait. 1hr 30 min pass and I ring back and say I can go collect if that would be quicker (I only live 3 minutes away) was told driver was literally going out the door with the deliveries so I said that’s fine let him go. Now 40 minutes later still no delivery so ring again and was told that they take a maximum of 3 deliveries so he should be soon. So after 2hrs 20min waiting still no food or knowledge of said delivery. Rang back to cancel at 8.20 as it is simply beyond reason at this stage. If you cant cope with orders do not take them. Will never be near the place ever again. Best avoided

The food was delicious from starter to our main meal although at one point the gas went off they said, it would be 10 minutes but it was more likely it was 30 minutes besides that it was a very delicious meal. Highly recommend it.

Not great at all for takeaway...poorly presented and needed reheated.Not good value at all...taste not great either I wouldn't recommend takeaway from here again.They need to up their flavours and add more meats...very disappointed to be honest

Came to this restaurant at 7pm, waited an hour and had to ask to Order as they forgot about us which is absolutely ridiculous service then had to get told to move tables as they had overbooked themselves which caused disruption to our experience, by the time we got our meal it was half 8 and the food was nice but we ordered 3 portions of chips which came served in one bowl apparently being 3 portions but i wouldn’t even say we got a full handful each but we couldn’t be bothered ordering another portion cause we know we’d be waiting about a half hour on it to arrive, after eating we asked for the bill. Sat for over a half an hour waiting on it and it never came so we had to go up and ask for it again because by that time it was 9:15pm and we were tired of being there. Overall I will most certainly not be back was an outrageous experience.

Went here with my family on new years eve, ordered drinks,beer was warm, waited over an hour for our food to come out, when it came out half the order was was missing, my sons kids meal came down when everyone was finished their meal, he didn't eat it, the chicken strips were uneatable , nan breads were very small and undercooked, when we got the bill they over charged us for drinks .don't mind paying for good food and service, but this place was not, prices were ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend, plenty other nice Indian restaurants to choose from.

ordered a takeaway a few times and the quality of the food is very good but the service is beyond belief .I'm surprised this place is still doing business .The cash machine appears to be broken most of the time and I was told the order would be ready in 30 mins yet almost 2 hours later and still waiting as were numerous other customers .People were returning to say part of their order was missing everyone was complaining but the owner just continued to take more phone orders ,unbelievable

Omg. I know we’re in a cost of living crisis but we paid full price for half an Indian meal tonight. Asked for chicken tikka patia - 5 tiny pieces of chicken which weren’t tikka. And as for the naan - half a naan? I didn’t pay for a naan which is the size of a side plate. Will not be ordering from here anymore. Insulting to your customers because your price hasn’t reduced with the portions. Bengal Brasseri on the lisburn road has maintained their portion sizes and their prices. Absolutely ridiculous.

Went last Saturday night first thing to greet us was a hand written sign cash only. I wonder would this be the same on the lisburn rd. Food was tasteless my friends hadn't finished there meal and the waitress was trying to clear there plates. We ask for coffee to be told the machine was broken. We had a 10% loyalty card which stated they took and they said they didn't. My friend ask to take her food home with her to which they appeared with a tub asking her to tub it up herself. We had no drink only two soft drinks poppadoms which we where forced to take three mains 80 quid. We try to support local but that experience was rubbish won't be back and would not recommend it.

Just had takeaway and very very disappointed. Always promoted this restaurant and recommended but not again. Naan breads were the size of a side plate & all 3 dishes ordered had hardly any meat, still tasty but not filling. Come on Bengal Spice !!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS RESTAURANT. We phoned the restaurant a number of times to get an update on our very late food, being told it was waiting for a driver, then it had left 5 minutes ago to they had no record of our order whatsoever. The manager Mark was conveniently out at this point, and a promised phone call never materialised. After a very rude and ridiculous conversation, our food finally arrived at 10pm, 2.5hours after placing the order. Late orders and mistakes can be forgiven after an apology and attempts to rectify, but instead we were lied to and fobbed off by Mark who refused to address the situation. Pathetic customer service. Avoid

Ordered via Just Eat and I actually live relatively close however my partner has just had surgery so thought we’d order a delivery. We placed an order at 19:37 and given it’s a Saturday we expected to wait a while. Just Eat updated at 20:50 to say it had been delivered. I rang them at 21:03 and they told me it went out for delivery at 10 mins ago. My partner then rang at 21:35 and they said that the order had just come through. I then requested a refund from Just Eat at 22:00. Safe to say the food never arrived. Edit: the order finally came and we sent it back with the delivery driver. To be fair he was lovely and I think we should highlight that.

Called in yesterday on the off chance not having a booking. The server was very welcoming and so helpful throughout our stay. I ordered Mixed Grill from tbe Tandor and my wife ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, both meals were excellant. This resaurant is a real gem in times of falling standards in food. Definately will return.

2 hours for food to arrive. When it finally arrived it was stone cold and they forgot the rice and Coca-Cola I had ordered and payed for... total waste of money

Be aware - the menu has prices blacked out. Average dish is £15 (fine dining prices) the food is way below par. The prices on website are what attracted me. Felt sorry for front of house staff. Food was tasteless and way too salty.

Fantastic new app firstly , as always one of the best Indian cuisine available in Belfast can't recommend enough.

Arrived after over one hour 10 mins. Wrong order delivered and blamed the delivery driver. Owner was very arragont on phone and would not take delivery charge off bill if we re ordered. Would never use this Indian again.

We dined here on a Friday evening with a party of 10 people. We ordered all different meals, with some having dined on Indian food before and others first timers. All our meals where presented together with no one having to wait for anything. My meal was delicious and everyone else fully enjoyed theirs. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much for them. A big thank you to them as well as the kitchen staff for cooking a great meal.

Food is still good but the last few times we have went in it is getting ridiculous they constantly overcharge now and it's not worth the hassle having to go through the bill to point out once again we are being charged extra and for items we haven't ordered or received we won't be back I don't like being robbed I'll go elsewhere from now on

Would leave zero stars if possible, we waited over 4 hours for delivery and nothing was delivered, after several phone calls to the restaurant to try to resolve this and repeatedly being told that the food was 20 minutes away every time we were left with no dinner and no resolution. Absolutely disgraceful service from the management and delivery driver. Do not recommend at all!

I ordered a collection over the phone when I arrived i received a bag of takeaway food. I arrived home and opened the containers and found it wasn't the order I placed. I returned to the restaurant to sort my order the girl told me I had be given the wring order by a make member of staff when on the premises another customer arrived and he was handed the order I had took home. I informed him that I had opened the food and received it over 30mins ago. He informed the staff he did not want it and wanted it replaced. I left with my correct order to a verbal abuse from a member of staff who proceeded to call me all the vulgar names of the day in front of customers. Total disgrace at this treatment as a customer. I will never return this was the make staffs issue whi gave me the wring order in the 1st place. I had my young son with me and this was totally over the top

My usual Indian I would always go to but after getting a cold meal on the weekend I rang the manager in the hope he would make this right he said next time he would give me a bit of discount so when I next called in he gave me the discount with a cheeky comment that next time I should use the Indian down the road I did confront him straight away about his comment as a loyal customer Customer service skills are shocking instead of just taking responsibility for there mistake Food normal beautiful and would have always recommended but this has totally changed my mind on there service absolutely shocking won’t be back..!!!

If you have eaten and like Indian food, you need to avoid this place. Food was rotten, overpowering taste of jerra and had to be binned, chickem also tasted of poor quality Disappointed is an understatment. Waste of £15, went in the bin.

We have been here for dinner a few times. On our most recent visit we enjoyed our food but we did encounter some problems. Items we never ordered appeared on the bill, which we queried and which was eventually rectified. The staff are lovely, are quick to take orders, but they visit the table too often to ask if everything is ok, and because no particular server is assigned to your table, there is a steady stream of different people coming over. It often feels like they are just bored. It’s unnecessary and annoying. Most irritatingly, they couldn’t get their hands on our glasses and plates to take them away fast enough, even before we’d finished our drinks and food. It’s not as if there were other customers waiting to take our table. Usually there is a long wait between getting the bill and actually being able to pay. All of these issues with poor customer service point to a lack of good staff training and restaurant management.

Food was amazing. No complaints from a table of four and Mark was an incredible server. 10/10 ❤️ - Will be back. Mark made our night with his service. Very welcoming and great at what he does. We tipped.

Had a family meal here for 7 adults 5 kids. Service was great, everyone served same time, no mishaps, very friendly and efficient, and yes, food was great. Lovely little restaurant, very informal and relaxing. All the dishes we tried were very good with their own different tastes unlike some places were it was impossible to tell the difference between individual curries. We had prawn, lamb and chicken all of which were beautiful tender and tasty. Plus a kids menu of Indian or European so everyone was more than happy

This is our local Indian Restaurant and the food is good, however, the standard of customer service has dropped considerably. On our last visit after booking a table, we arrived on time and although we counted 6 staff members, nobody came to meet or greet us, instead, they were chatting to a friend who came in to collect a takeaway. After several minutes of being ignored, we left disappointed as we were looking forward to a nice meal after a busy week. This lack of customer service needs addressed otherwise customers will go elsewhere and we all know what that leads to, come on management, sort it out?

Table booked for 6.30 didn't get starter until 7 0 clock service was awful and the starter needed more sauce was so dry. The young girls were run of there feet and the main course took forever, was told there was a party of 40 coming in but that shouldn't of been more important than us we are customers too. Would not recommend and we are going to stick to India Gate in future .

Just ordered a meal and after waiting 1hr 20mins the order arrived. At best the meal was lukewarm and greasy. I've used this restaurant quite a few times but I don't think I would be recommending it again. It's definitely gone downhill

Amazing Indian food, service and price. We had it last night for the first time, definitely will be back. Both curries were full of flavour and just the right heat (we were even able to ask for more/less spice for our meals). The naan was gorgeous, and so were the sides. I think they even gave us an extra complementary side. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much!

Food was absolutely delicious! The veggie dish was packed full of chunky veg, the prawn dish was packed with prawns (which is rare, trust me). And delivery was quick and the girl on the phone was very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend and can't wait for my next one!

Great food pleasant staff we will visit again

Really disappointed with my order tonight. Ordered 2 meals, they came without rice. Their excuse was it was we ordered from just eat, if we ordered from their website we would have got rice for the SAME price. The chips we disgusting. Extremely greasy had to be thrown in the bin. Tasted like they had been recooked several times. This Indian is normally nice but tonight was horrible. Definitely my last order with bengal spice

Food tastes great, very fresh but we ordered at 8pm last night and just over an hour later still hadn't arrived, was asked "did you even order something?", why ask that then tell me "your order is probably in the latest delivery batch"?????? Food arrived at 10.35pm, needless to say the delivery driver was told to keep the cold food, disgusted.

Found the experience very good when first open. Mainly takeaway. However of late find they are cutting corners. Nan bread not freshly made. Feels like it's made then refrigerated.
