7 Spice in Belfast

We had a meal in a pod on Thursday 16th January 2025,portion sizes are made to look more generous than they actually are,but are Very tasty.We had a Vegan Korma,with Peshawari naan,battered chips,pilau rice and a Chicken madras.All very tasty,but portion sizes are small,and it's expensive especially mains as the cheapest is £15.95,and battered chips are a gimmick.The pods are a novelty with heater and Bluetooth speaker for your own music.

Absolutely vile. Couldn't eat it. Fuming what paid. Kormas was like tasteless cream. Was near vomitting. Rang the place also to manger to complain!! I wish for a refund!!

Ordered the food about after 3 didn’t get it till 6.10. They kept just changing the time had ring them where they told me ohh leaving now waited further 20 minutes for the driver to leave wouldn’t minded as much but my lunch became dinner better off ordering some where quicker.

Asked for there recommendation for a starter and they charged us £84 for ‘Indian tapas’

So enjoyed our meal for 2 plus our wee dog! The food is Bangladeshi, with an international twist, and is delicious. Great value too

We had a lovely meal 10/10 as has been our previous experiences. The location is in one of the nicest areas of Belfast for a meal out. As previously stated the meal was lovely but it must be noted the staff are also excellent again 10/10. Lovely and friendly and very helpful and pleasant and seem to be genuinely happy at their work. One thing which is disappointing they don’t sell poppadoms. This is the main reason we don’t visit more frequently. Price ways for those that are interested it’s roughly £40 per head for a starter and main and 2 soft drinks and coffee afterwards.

Food arrived cold not a happy customer

We tried to have lunch here, having chosen the sharing lunch (4 curried 2 rice to share) £11.95pp served Mon-Thurs until 4pm as advertised in their website and on the current board outside the restaurant. It was Thursday 1pm. They said they don’t serve that, and offered us a more expensive menu. After asking again for the menu they were advertising, and being told they don’t serve it, we left and dined elsewhere.

This family owned business is outstanding. The owner is personal and has more than one restaurant in Belfast. The food was fabulous and his personal attention along with the staff was wonderful. The pods are a nice touch (he built them during (Covid). A definite stop - make it personal and say hello.

Nice spot. Best part is the awesome outdoor pods, great spot for your meal! You also get to play your own music, which is a great touch. Food is nice, but I think you can find better for that price.

Ordered at 4pm, estimated for 6:30-7pm but didn't show up until 9:20pm. I contacted support at 7:30pm and didn't get a response until 8:40am today. I had to order from somewhere else and was denied a refund after I was told there were no drivers.

Received wrong order, called, chef laughed when told, another man on line then asked me for my card number to "process refund" (wouldn't accept my account number/sort code) and told me to go to Just Eat. Never ordering from here again

Curry is delicious along with some side they added. Only thing i prefer the white pula rice theirs is yellow so its not the same flavour/taste

We were there yesterday for lunch (the 4 rowdy ladies) and we were excited to be seated in a pod I have to say everything was excellent the food was divine - best onion bhajis Service was amazing all the staff very knowledgeable and friendly and the cocktails were great too Lunchtime menu was 2 courses for £19.95. Which is an absolute bargain for the quality of food Highly recommended and cannot wait to go back

It was difficult to choose because they had so many great options! What we did order was delicious and would definitely eat here again

The paneer rogan josh was below average with no salt or any flavour. Chicken bhuna was average but not woth the price at all. The drinks were also below average. For sevice when I asked to pack the leftovers, I got told to do it myself with a very rude attitude. Overall worst experience. Never coming back here and wont recommend anyone to come too.

Tasty and really great delivery time

the food was freezing cold and absolutely horrible and uneatable. i tried phoning the restaurant but no answer. i did not contact Just Eat because i have heard so many bad reviews regarding there customer service and that they will do nothing about this.

Food was delicious, lovely relaxed atmosphere , we didn't want to leave as background music was so good! Service was second to none! Will definitely be back the next time we visit Belfast.

Interesting place with pods to have a very intimate meal. The food was very good and the service too. The portions were a little small for the price.

I just love, love, love coming to this wonderful Bangladeshi restaurant. The food, staff and surroundings are just fabulous. Always make us feel so special. Please do not confuse this very special restaurant with an Indian restaurant. There is no comparison and this is the reason we always come back to it.

This was a really great curry - a delicious peshwari naan (one of the best) and a very saucy curry… exactly what you want!!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Visited with family for a birthday meal out and we were in one of the outdoor pods. Very unique experience and we loved having our own privacy and could play your own music through the speaker. Staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh!! Fantastic meal, cocktail tree was a lovely added touch and food was 5 star quality in our opinion. Would highly recommend and we would definitely return. Thank you.

One of the best South Asian restaurant in town. I have been here a couple of times and the service is always excellent along with the food. It tastes just like home. We recently celebrate our work Diwali dinner here and not one person left the place disappointed. The food was delicious, plenty of options, especially for vegetarians and they went above and beyond with their service, which is rare to find nowadays. Not only that but they accommodated our requirements as best as they could. We had a lovely night and we will definitely be returning.

VERY Disappointing. Read the reviews,booked a table, arrived..it is a very average restaurant. They seem to LOVE big groups who can pay a premium for the 'pods' outside...inside is very mediocre, we saw a couple walk away from the table they were offered ( next to toilet door) another man on his own asked to move as he was too hot( under the heater) and was told no other tables..( at the time.. 2 of us, a single lady and no one else.) We asked if we could sit in a pod...to be told that one would be available "soon " and we would be moved.....then a group of 6 arrived..no booking and they were given the booth! Anyway. Food was reasonable, service average, prices far too high. Would certainly NOT recommend. Think they have first time diners who read the reviews and therefore won't be returning so couldn't care less about customer service. Overpriced. This was a visit on Monday, so goodness knows what Friday/Saturday are like! But no doubt this is a 'one off' 🙄

This was easily the best meal out I have had in the last year. The food was beautifully presented. The service was outstanding. Everything was fresh, flavoursome and interesting! Look forward to another visit soon. Highly recommended.

Good portion size but the food was disappointing, pilau rice was completely bland and the tikka masala sauce just tasted of pure sugar. Wasn’t expecting it to be spicy but it was like having a dessert there were no other flavours to it

We tried this Indian after reading the reviews...wished we hadnt! The food was edible, not delicious, not very flavoursome! The black lentils, which we usually enjoy, were really watery and not good, we left most of it, around £18 worth! The restaurant was busy but the management didnt seem to be able to cope and were fussing about! The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Such a shame, great situation could be so much better!

An incredible experience from start to finish! The butter chicken was absolutely superb—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. It was hands down the best I've had in a long time. But what made the experience even better was the service. The owner and our waitress were so attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. They made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place with both amazing food and such exceptional service, but Seven Spice nailed it. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Butter chicken was too sweet, lamb rogan Josh was decent, dal makhani is not authentic as it was more of a plain daal. Dishes were definitely more westernised than authentic Indian cuisine.

First time to 7 Spice and will not bethe last. Excellent atmosphere, food, ambience, and service. I know I can be a critique, but 7 Spice is the One to go to in Belfast. Superb. We will see you soon.

Despite the website showing fully booked we phoned anyway as it was close to our apartment and looked and smelt wonderful! We managed to get in, and the experience made more special by being seated in a pod. We could play our own music as mentioned in other reviews. The service was excellent, the whole team were polite and friendly. Special mention for Mani and Kami! The food....none of us had experienced Indian starters quite like these, traditional but with a twist and delicious, fresh and clean tasting if that makes sense! The main courses and sides were equally fantastic. We had our best meal here during our four day break in Belfast and would definately recommend.

Good food with amazing environment and friendly service

Lovely choice of dishes. Not as good as if you sit in but still a good selection! Lots of paneer in the curry and the lamb biryani is yum! Curry sauce is a bit thin for me, I prefer a thicker sauce but probably just my personal taste. Super quick delivery! Happy customers!

This was a special experience. We were seated without reservations in one of the pods outside. Service was prompt and efficient. We were offered drinks, starters and / or meals quickly but not rushed. Our pod had a separate heater if we were cold and a separate blue tooth for music we would prefer to hear. All waiters (Luthfur) was attentive and co staff made sure we were all taken care of. Food was well spiced and generous. An order could be shared easily and staff was gracious to suggest accompaniments. We ordered several dishes and we were not disappointed by any. The only sad thing was having too much food to finish or take his with us

The staff were very attentive and seated us in a pod, which was a nice surprise as a couple out for dinner. Our orders were taken quickly and we had our drinks and starters within 15 mins of arriving. The cocktails were strong and really nice. The food was even better. Good portion sizes and lots of choice for meat eaters or vegetarian! Overall a lovely place for dinner.

Great service amazing food with beautiful little pods to sit in outside. Manager friendly and helpful. With complimentary Baby Guinness at the end of our meal. Well worth a visit if in the Cathedral Quarter.

Naan bread not cooked and no garlic … chicken tough and not nice … no condiments etc would never order again - money wasted as thrown out

Service was good. Food was very sweet and Western style. Would not recommend if you like a real flavour. Should be called No Spice.

Seven spice was more like no spice. Super sweet everything. Lamb was soft & chicken was dropped onto sweet sauce. I wouldn't recommend to anyone for service or food. When we provided feedback the manager literally changed the subject. The waiter was apologetic but seemed to get into trouble providing our feedback. Poor all round. Waste of money.

Food was good and delivery time good also.

One of the best Indians of our lives and also dog friendly (which is super rare in Ireland) in their great pods where we felt very good and sheltered from the Irish bad weather! Unbeatable quality/price with the menu served between noon and 4 p.m., go there with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed!

Great place, amazing food. I would highly recommend. The staff here are so attentive no matter how big or small the booking is. We had the pod for a group of 8 and it worked perfect for us! The food was amazing and the atmosphere made it even better.

Spent a fortune to eat worst butter chicken in my entire life with no salt or taste whatsoever and the boiled chicken was extremely smelly, NOT cooked fresh. Who in the world is cooking something like that?!?!? Will never ever go back or recommend this place to anyone!!

Great find from TikTok. Fabulous food and uber attentive staff. Concept of eating in a owner made POD, listening to your own music (Bluetooth speaker in POD) is quite smart. Definitely recommend and the baby Guinness at the end - nice. Perfect for the 4 seasons in one day in Ireland:-)

After three days in Belfast we needed to find food with more flavor - stumbled in to 7 Spice late one evening and were greeted warmly and offered a heated pod. Great food, super friendly and accomodating staff - a real gem in the Cathedral neighborhood!

On our last night in Belfast we experienced our most delicious meal. I highly recommend this Bangladeshi restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful, the service was impeccable and fun to chat with. We ate in one of their outdoor pods which was really fun, but inside looked lovely too. If you are in Belfast and looking for something different than pub food go to Seven Spice.

We were in this beautiful place for the first time with 4 friends.so amazing the food was incredible the best restaurant in Belfast! We had chicken garlic chilli, tandoori chicken ,Bangalore lamb chop and chicken madras we try. We will give 10/10 all food is so delicious. The service is so good the staff is so familiar we really enjoyed we different come back. ❤️❤️

Went for lunch, starters were ok but Lamb Balti was really poor and nothing like a balti, Chicken Tikka Masala was also not great either. Tried to charge me for an extra chip and then asked for a tip. Im glad I wasn’t paying full price and won’t be back. might look nice from the outside but that’s it.

The servers were very nice and professional the handi biryani was outstanding.

Would highly recommend! Myself and my young family were here this weekend and the food and staff were excellent. Food was delicious with perfect portion sizes, and the kids chicken tikka went down very well with our 3-year-old. The staff were very helpful and kind and even allowed myself, wife, and two children to nip into one of the available private dinning pods to breast feed our 1-month old daughter in privacy. We will definitely come back here!

We didn't enjoy the service nor some of the food, the Naan was very nice. The really bad experience was that no one bothered asking us why we didn't even touch one of the dishes (spoiler:it was very bad), which is the minimum that they could do!

I was there on Saturday 25th of May and the food was beautiful and tasty. Very rich in consistency. Ive always recommend you as one of the best restaurants in Belfast. However, today I ordered the same food to be delivered and the taste, the consistency, and flavour are not comparable. Even the peshuari nan is debatable. The chef is definitely someone else.

Despite a delay in the orders, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and look forward to returning🌟

I went with my friends for my birthday and the experience was amazing from start to finish. We booked one of the pods which itself was a perfect experience, never mind the lovely food and cocktail tree for a great price, topped off by the exceptional customer service. Ahmed, Nik and Mith were faultless, they checked in with us throughout the night, were smiley, approachable and jokey and even brought us complimentary drinks at the end of the night. I will be recommending 7 spice to everyone!! They even sang me happy birthday!x

Absolutely gorgeous birthday experience at 7 Spice; Ahmed, Nik, and Mith looked after us amazingly! The vegan bhuna, vegetable tempura, garlic naan, and pilau rice were gorgeous. Lush cocktails, incredible service, and even a little birthday treat for us! And in the cutest pod outside! A really special experience, thank you so much, can't wait to come again!

Food is of a very high standard, however, I ordered a lamb bhuna and the lamb portion was very tiny. Also only got one tiny piece of tomato in the curry. Rice was delicious. Would order from here again.

There were two of us and one dish out of two was bad... It was the butter chiken which was excessively sweet and whose dominant taste was that of almond (which covered the taste of the other ingredients)... It was impossible to finish it because it was so bad! The price is excessive! The quantity, however, is copious... On a neighboring table, we saw a chicken dish with an excessively red sauce (a red that seemed to be a coloring)... The waiters, on the other hand, were friendly.

Delicious food and plenty of it. Will definitely order again

Food was absolutely out of the world, staff were brand new and couldn’t do anything more for you, we dined in the pod and it’s was so chilled and relaxed there was no feeling of being rushed
