Terrible food. The containers were broken which leads to bacteria. Food cold. Poppadoms not whole. Telephoned the restaurant and the member of staff was so rude and did not want to remedy anything. AVOID AVOID AVOID

everything was perfect but the naan was hard

The tikka was very oily but still tasty, poppadoms tasted stale or like they were cooked in old oil and the mint sauce tasted off with lumps. Onion bhajis were good. Would not order from here again.

Madras sauce is still far too watery, I am left feeling very disappointed and will not beordering again unless it improves, don't be penny-pinchers, you know it is not good business sense !

Very nicely cooked, the vegetables were not sloppy but firm, colourful and tasty. The rice, naan and chicken were good too. Recommended.

Great food bus costs of delivery are too high. My order was 25.67 Offer discount -5.13 Bag fee 0.20 Delivery fee 2.99 Service charge 0.50 Total paid £24.23 Basically the 20% discount came down to 1% discount after all fees. I love the food but other restaurants are less expensive in fees.

I always get my Indian takeaway from here and my friends have also said it's very good quality. I always get the chicken denask, full of flavour and a good amount of meat.

I don't know if this place has new owners, but the food was definitely not the best. Prices have gone way up, and the food was just a bit bland. The Kathi roll was so icky i had to throw it away. What happened. So disappointed. Last time i'll be ordering.

The vegetable side was sour & soggy & the biriyani tasted burnt! Never had bad food from here before so was disappointed.

The food was substandard and I had an enormous amount of rice in my biriyani portion with just three prawns. For 16.08 that is pretty abysmal. I usually get at least 6 in a portion. This was really just not worth the money.

This restaurant has us returning every week. The delivery is really fast, always prompt or early. The restaurant service is great. They are generous (always an extra popadom, extra drinks) and gives great portions. The food is really tasty with great balance of spice. Totally recommended

The food was disgusting. I throw it away as they put too much sugar in lamb korma. Very bad customer service when I called to ask for refund.

I have just made order via Deliveroo Butter chicken-Paratha-Vegetable Biriyani,we also got some extra mixed vegetables meal and bottle of beer(which i really appreciate) How ever it was impossible to eat this meal.It was swimming in oil.I used spoon to take out top of the oil from the butter chicken, more then half cup of oil just from the small container I didn’t even started with the other meal as when I opened it was soaked in oil too.Impossible to eat as this will only make us sick. Im sorry but for me never ever again this place.

I've been here many times. The butter chicken is great but the chicken tikka masala is my favourite here. Absolutely delicious.

Came well within its time, all a free 0.0% beer which I was very impressed with however the dish I ordered the Tarka Daal almost tasted burnt wouldn't recommend and definitely wouldn't order again however would be willing to try another item on the menu as I believe I just ordered the wrong dish for me.

Wow. Amazing. I had the sag aloo and veg curry with a little side of onion chutney. I had been craving a top notch bengal dish and this was 🤌 amazing and everything I was hoping for. Good portions and free papadams too. Thank you - I'll definitely be back! They were also happy to answer any questions I had about the dishes on the phone. The only critism I have (and its not of the food) would be to be more clear if dishes are vegetarian or vegan, but other than that, food quality itself was lovely. Thanks Bengal Spice.

The food was delivered at 19:55, I ordered the food at 17:49 for 19:30 delivery. Fail! There was 2 vegetarian samosas (10% meat 80% potatoes) whereas I ordered meat samosas for £3.95, that is a proper ripoff. I would avoid this restaurant. Not recommended.

Really disappointed with this place. The chicken jalfrezi seriously lacked seasoning, the butter chicken was more like a korma, the chilli naan has never seen a chilli, and in general a lack of chicken in both of the dishes we ordered. Would not recommend, definitely a less than average restaurant.

Fabulous atmosphere and staff was lovely. Cater to all our needs. Went above and beyond to help me surprise my wife on our anniversary. Food was lovely and as requested. Attention was paid to my order as my kids do not eat too spicy. The king prawn butterfly was absolutely amazing. Well done keep up. Will definitely recommend and will come again for my next event.

Hosted my twin sons' birthday party at Bengal Spice. The food was lovely, and so was the atmosphere. More importantly the staff were amazing and helpful at every step, could not thank them enough! The restaurant is located on West End Lane, parking around the side roads are permit holders only Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM to 6.30 PM. (Aug 2021) Overground and Jubilee line are 10 minutes walk away aswell. Bus Stop is located just outside the restaurant.

Food was hot and fresh in particular the rice, salad, and Nan bread. The meat was in a good standard portion. However, it appeared as it was pre-cooked in advance! Food was arrived fast . Service was excellent.

The lamb in briyani was not cooked properly and was too chewie. The forgot my mint chutney as well.

This evening I had the pleasure of trying the amazing @bengalspice_westhampstead on West End Lane- North London. Bengal Spice was the first ever Indian restaurant in Hampstead, it is run by a lovely family and was first established in 1957. On entering @bengalspice_westhampstead I was greeted by lovely staff who made me feel so welcome it was all extremely clean inside the restaurant and covid safe. The food was also still piping hot for the 30minute drive home which was great ! I had a chicken biryani, Chicken Curry, Bombay Aloo, Tandoori Salmon Tikka & Plain Naan with Poppadoms. The food was so so fresh and delicious. The curry flavouring was perfect and not one bit of oil to be seen (unlike a lot of restaurants) the salmon tikka was so fresh and fell to pieces when I went to cut into it. The biryani was delicious and again the spices perfect and the Bombay aloo also delicious and the potatoes so soft and fresh and the naan cooked to perfection too. The chicken was lovely and fresh and soft too. The Poppadoms were fresh and not oily whatsoever. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the food, the portion sizes and the taste of it all also how reasonable the prices are too. Absolutely delicious !! I fully recommend @bengalspice_westhampstead to everyone !
