Best food that I have had in a very long time, definitely worth a visit

it's a 4 star as I asked for no sala on my food and they put it on and but the sides and deserts where good and I recommend the pizza I loved it when I got it last time and the bathroom was clean and the drinks where good

I have been to Bella Sicilia on a few occasions and the food and service is always absolutely fantastic. Food comes out fresh and the team are very attentive. Prices are also very fair!

We had a lovely Works Christmas Meal last week, there was 8 of us in our party and the restaurant staff couldn’t do enough to help, I am in a wheelchair and they moved the table around to accommodate me. The food was amazing as always and if there was ever any where I wanted to take people for a meal or special occasion Bella Sicilia is always my first choice. If you want the same amazing food at home then this is the place for a take away, it always arrives piping hot and is beautifully presented, my kids always prefer this as our go to option. The manager and lovely staff always make us feel very welcome and can’t do enough to help. Love it 😍 and will return time after time.

Tasty but uninspiring food. The accompaniments to the main dishes are very boring. The veg is uninspiring and meagre. The menu has not changed in years so after a few visits it becomes more difficult to choose a meal. There are no desserts for anyone who has a dairy intolerance, Only 3 desserts to choose from and all contain dairy. Some thought needs to be put into the menu.

Great experience. Lovely atmosphere. Family run business. Really lovely and friendly service. The food was excellent. Simple and delicious, as good food should be. The prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed breadcrumbed mozarella for starters (very generous portion) and it was delicious (I had a bot of a craving for this on the day, so I probably ate too much before my main!) For my main I had spaghetti aglio, olio e peporencino and it was delicious. Just spicy enough.

Fabulous Italian food with authentic Sicilian dishes. Sicilian folk music in the background creates a very nice atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent menu range, good pricing and good range of wines to suit all tastes and pocket depths. Arturo the owner was very kind, helpful, flexible and clearly a very proud Sicilian. This place is a gem, if we lived in Kettering we would be getting frequent flyer points here. Loved it!

I had pasta but was very watery??

First visit in awhile. Previously, thought the prices where high for the quality of food. This is now a restaurant where I believe the quality has increased to a really good level and match the prices. Having said that the prices are as good as any Italian restaurants I have been to recently. They also now offer good sized pizzas as they have installed a proper oven. The pasta is obviously freshly made. Drinks are a good price, I.e cheaper than my local pub!!! Service and atmosphere excellent. Probably advise you to book as well as the Wednesday night was full.

Lovely little family run restaurant, good pasta and home made proper italian pizza with plenty of flavours. They do a good selection of starters and a great bruschetta. Only small criticism is there chicken dishes which come with great sauces that taste great but the chicken breast can be very tough on a couple of occassions we have had it, very chewy and hard to cut which might just need to be cooked in thinner slices and maybe marinated in olive oil before to get it softer and easier to eat otherwise woukd have been 5 stars. The potatoes and veg are lovely as cooked in butter and herbs so plenty of flavour. Loved the ice cream amerreto type dome dessert, they don't have a big dessert menu and unless you like Crem Caramel or Tiramisu you will struggle to find something but still a lovely place to eat and lovely staff.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place and the staff were friendly but... very slow service: our experience lasted 2hrs 30mins. The food was nothing to sing about for the pricing (creamy sauce had the consistency of water). We ordered a bottle of wine, after waiting a few minutes informed they had ran out and suggested another bottle; not mentioning the additional £10 cost. 20mins for a lemonade that never came before asking again. No apologies for the slow service but fast on collection of payment. Maybe it was an off night them.

Visited on the advice of a colleague but wouldn't go out of my way to go again. Service as reasonably quick and friendly but the food was uninspiring. The Gamberoni starter was served on-shell, which was fine, but they give you a prepacked towelette to wipe your hands. Why? A dessert bowl of warm water with a slice of lemon and an extra napkin would do a better job and probably save money. The same dish was tasteless. It could have been lifted with any number of herbs and spices but instead it just left you feeling 'So what'. Mains was Spag Carbonara and again it was nothing out of the ordinary. I know it takes a bit more effort to make sure the Pancetta is thoroughly mixed in, but it wasn't here. The other thing about the place is the lack of theming. Plain white walls with no drapes makes for a very noisy place, especially when there's a hen party at one end of the restaurant. The prices are OK but at the top end of what they should be bearing in mind the quality of the cuisine.

Looked forward to a meal here as had been a few times. Tonight though the food was bland and very uninspiring. The mushroom starter was tasteless and not very nice at all. The steak was good and tender but the accompaniment was just sliced potato and carrots. When asked if I wanted potato and veg I thought at least I would get a few different vegetables but alas just some sliced carrot. The saving grace was the tiramisu which was light and tasty. In hindsight I should have chosen pasta of some description. They need to reassess their side dishes. Iceberg lettuce is not tasty and just added to the blandness of the dishes.

I haven’t been here for years; I wished we had been more often as the food is just so fresh, authentic and tasty. We will certainly be returning again very soon to sample more of the menu. Thank you for staying later last night to accommodate our group! Very much appreciated .

Excellent host and food will go again

A married couple, we booked just a couple of days in advance for a Saturday evening, and we were offered 6pm or 8.30; 6 please. Sat in the 'new' alcove at the rear of the restaurant adjacent to the kitchen doors, we had brisk attention from staff, a rather nice red wine and some water soon appeared. This was quickly followed by starters, which were excellent. Mains were no less so; risotto and pasta/meatballs respectively. We shared a tiramisu to finish, which was just a touch too moist on the bottom but tasty nonetheless. The bill was quite reasonable, so no complaints there. We didn't feel hurried, although we were in and out in 90 minutes. Staff were smiley , enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Go here for very good Silicilan food in a cozy setting.

Great birthday celebration at Bella Sicilia. Haven’t visited for a few years now but the food and service were as fantastic as ever. This restaurant has great atmosphere and a wide variety of tasty dishes and caters for all dietary needs. Will be visiting again when I can.

After having several meals delivered to our home by Bella Sicilia both during and outside of lockdown, we decided to pay a visit to the restaurant to celebrate our daughter's graduation. Although the premises are relatively small, there is a clean, spacious feel and we were made to feel very welcome by the owner/manager. Having gone there with the intention of ordering a chicken dish, I instead opted for Straccetti Al Pepe Verde - fillet steak with green peppercorns and asparagus. Sometimes when you go out to a restaurant, you eat a meal and think 'that was very good/very tasty etc'. Far less frequently, you eat a meal and think 'wow, that was fantastic'. Happily, this was one of those latter occasions and the other members of my family were very happy with their choices too. If you're in the Kettering area and haven't been to Bella Sicilia, give it a try.

Visited here last night with family. The food was absolutely outstanding. It was so fresh and really authentic. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was homely and cosy. This was my first visit here and I can’t wait to come again. The tiramisu was to die for!!

Dined here last night and received a lovely warm welcome. It felt very relaxed and had a pleasant atmosphere and the food was amazing! We willl certainly visit again.

My husband and I had the most wonderful first meal here. The steak was of beautiful quality and cooked to perfection, not to forget the tiramisu - to die for! Friendly staff who were very attentive. Would absolutely recommend!

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and will always return. The quality of the food is incredible. I went with my Dad and boyfriend today and I had fillet steak with cream, mushrooms and prawns. My Dad had lamb fried in breadcrumbs with a dolcelatte sauce and berries and my boyfriend had a fillet with dolcelatte sauce. You don’t need steak knives as a butter knife would cut the melt in your mouth steak and the portions are huge. We also had the mussels with white wine and chilli and tiramisu and cannoli. Honestly the food is absolutely sublime, high quality, fresh and tasty!! The atmosphere and service is also top notch. A proper family run restaurant and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This place is absolutely amazing!!

Whilst in Northern Ireland found out that Bella Sicilia was opening again for eat in meals. So phoned Arturo from Ballycastle and booked a table for the night we returned. With a self distancing welcome, all keeping to ourselves but still received the normal high standard of cuisine. With no increase in price for the Corona virus it was a pleasure to eat in the freshly decorated family run restaurant. We will be back again soon.

WOW we have never ordered from Bella Sicilia before but it came highly recommended from A family member and friend who regularly order from here... so I decided to try it .. had a lovely convo with the owner and he recommended the bruschetta I’m glad he did it was Devine ... as was the lasagne and Bolognese Gorgeous fresh food very happy customer and will recommend and use again x thank you Heather p

Phoned at 1700 hrs and gave Arturo our menu request as they are not doing dining in at present. Arranged to pick it up at 2000 hrs and turned up just before to a very nice greeting. Got home and served up an extremely delightful meal supported by an excellent wine suggested by Arturo. Have never had a disappointing meal at this restaurant and long for it to be fully open so we can enjoy their company as well as the food.

When ordering our food I first thought it was a little expensive. I have to say I was totally surprised. The portions were very generous and the taste was just amazing. Definitely the best lasagne I've ever had aswell as carbonara. I felt the potatoes and carrots were and amazing little extra which was free and too tasted amazing. Well done all I will definitely be visiting for a meal in the very near future and will be recommending you to all

Decided at lunch time to phone and make a booking for the evening. Arturo welcomed us with his usual cheerfulness and a perfect evening was had. His Steaks were, as usual, cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. The finale of the evening was a gorgeous liqueur.

Easily one of our favorite restaurants not only in Northamptonshire but of all time. The food is truly home-cooked Sicilian with generous delicious portions. Cosy but always lively atmosphere and excellent service. You really won't go wrong and will have a fantastic meal and a great night out.

Was called to confirm booking, greeted warmly on arrival. Menu is very good, the starters were large, and we struggled with the main, really wanted the Tiramisu but did not have the capacity. Look forward to going again.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and from now it wont be my last. Amazing value for money, the taste of the food and the portion size was everything you could ask for and more. The restaurant's vibe was friendly warm and welcoming and the staff where so polite,respectful and helpful. My overall experience is after visiting many different restaurants over the years from everything high classed to value classed this is overall the most amazing restaurant and i base that on the fact that i as a customer was given so much appriciation for chosing this restaurant by the staff and the owner.

Once again a welcome that makes you feel part of the family. The food was excellent as usual and although my wife had a problem with swallowing Arturo was understanding and so we took a doggy bag home. A week later my wife thoroughly enjoyed the salmon and pasta with no problems. Will always recommend the food and reception at Bella Sicilia.

Due to unforeseen family circumstances I genuinely forgot to cancel by booking. I explained to the owner only to receive an insulting text message calling me a b***ard. I was shocked that a genuine mistake could lead to such an insulting comment. I phoned the restaurant to complain, only to be told it was his granddaughter who’d sent it. Totally unprofessional manner which could have a detrimental effect on business.

Great authentic atmosphere. Lovely food. Great service. The side of fries was a little undercooked and they need an emergency bottle of red sauce!! Everything else was spot on. Thanks again.

I was visiting a friend in Kettering. He has a penchant for cheaper chain pub type venues, but as I'd be paying for this meal I chose this place, based on TA reviews, and I'm so glad I did.I called ahead to confirm a table, and thankfully they were able to accommodate us on what was a very busy evening. I opted for a mushroom starter and my friend had the calamari. We both opted for lamb as a main. I had tiramisu for dessert (no surprises there!) and my friend had a lemon dish.All the food was delicious, of decent quantity and cooked very well. Service couldn't be faulted.With a large glass of house red and two coffees the total bill was a little over £70: not the cheapest of places, but well worth it. Thoroughly recommended.

Visited mid-week to celebrate a friends birthday. Very friendly and on first visit, thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, not to forget the top rate food. Thanks to Arturo for his rendition of "hapy birthday" and other music on the accordion. Superb - very authentic. Look forward to a future visit.

A late booking due to problems on the trains from London but Arturo fitted us in even though they were busy. The service and welcome was the same as if they had been quiet and cannot be faulted. The food was as exceptional as ever. We have never had a poor meal in the restaurant.

Really good food (the fillet steak is exceptional), lovely atmosphere and Arturo (the owner) entertaining us with his Accordion playing was a real bonus and had everyone singing along. Well recommended for authentic food, great customer service and reasonable prices.

This is a small, cosy Italian/Sicilian restaurant with fabulous food and a great atmophere. We've been a few times and especially recommend the seafood, pasta and steaks.

We have visited Bella since they first opened for family meals and special occasions and we have always rated it highly and recommended to other family and friends. On a recent visit we found that the service was not what it used to be. There is no longer the warm and friendly Italian welcome that you used to receive. It was quite stand of fish and verges at times on being rude. We placed our order and due to what was a reasonable wait for our mains we asked if we could have our cheesy garlic bread to start rather than accompany the mains. We were refused as order had already been placed. Come on how long does it take to do a few slices of garlic bread. Food was good although not outstanding. Would no longer recommend based on our recent experience and doubt that we would return. Shame really.

We went here for a family meal early in the evening. Its a nice little Sicilian/Italian restaurant not far from Kettering town centre. It has a vibrant Sicilian theme from the pictures on the walls to the plates the food is served on. There is no children's menu so our kids got to eat from the grownups menu and they loved it. The food is fantastic everything we had was wonderful, delicious sea food and pasta but next time I am having 'il manzo'.

I have been to this establishment several times and cannot understand why it receives high food reviews both times food was warm and tasteless. The waiter whom I assume is the owner was very impatient wanting the orders And seemed disinterested in his customers

Stopped off in Kettering on way back from visiting the Eleanor Cross at Geddington. Decided on Italian food so Bella Sicilia was a real gem of a find. Tuesday evening so not too busy, although this is quite a small restaurant so you would definitely be advised to book for weekends. Food and drinks menu quite concise but very authentic and I was a bit spoilt for choice to be honest! Opted for the Merluzzo alla Messinese in the end (cod fillet in a rich sauce of chopped tomatoes, olives, onions and capers) with a broccoli side. Almost too much food for one person so you definitely don't need any starter or Antipasti as a prelude! Dish was prepared from scratch and took around 20-25 mins to table and it was fantastic! Personal professional service from the proprietor Arturo. Highly recommended - but remember to book!

There was about 13 of us on a Thursday not for and the restaurant was full. Friendly owner and the service and food was good. The atmosphere here is great , feels like you’re in an Italian restaurant not like some modern establishments. My swordfish was delicious!

After being advised the food here was good we were not disapointed. All three of us enjoyed our meal imensley. The food was plentiful but we would have like a variety of vegetables with it instead of just carrots and potato. The steak chosen by one of our party was excellent and they catered for her food allergies apart from their being no dairy free desserts.

Went here for my mums birthday. It is costly however the food was great, it tasted fresh and great portion sizes. Only suggestion is that the staff are more attentive to guests, especially new ones as they are more likely to return if they feel welcome.

Came for a friend's birthday. Second time my husband and I have been and have been disappointed. Food was below average standard, definitely not worth the prices. Not fresh pasta and wasnt very hot and quite tasteless. The garlic bread has been very undercooked on both visits, almost not cooked or grilled at all. Most people in our party were dissapointed by their meal. That said the waiter was friendly. Sadly I will not be returning.

I'd suggest you not to go there.The food is awful,the owner's wife is cooking in the restaurant,although she doesn't know a thing about kitchen. In my opinion,this is NOT an Italian restaurant,let alone a Sicilian one!

We visited the restaurant one Saturday evening with our son and daughter-in-law and it was busy in the best possible way. The restaurant is not massive so it is advisable to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. We had a superb meal and the staff were friendly, professional and attentive but they kept in the background until they were needed so they seemed "invisible". I had aranchini balls, as did our son, which tasted amazing. My wife and l both had seafood risotto which again was superb and our son had a lasagne which he failed to finish as it was a large portion. We asked for a delay between starter and mains and the owner told the kitchen staff not to prepare our mains until he told them to so we know the meals are cooked to order and the temperature of the food when received was testament to that. We will return, if we can get in.
