6 of us for dinner on a busy Friday night. Great atmosphere and the place was buzzing. We enjoyed the food and the pizzas were especially good. The red wine we chose (Nero D'Avola) was very good indeed.Brighton Marina is not blessed with many good restaurants but Bella Napoli is a treat!

The Stoneham Pub

18/09/2020: As the years have gone by, I think the Stoneham has got better & better. Such lovely decor & feel-even tho’ its a big old pub-it still manages to keep a cosy warmth. Great service in these tricky times & a menu boasting some great food-which certainly delivered. Something for everyone here & very tasty with it.
30/08/2020: Popped in here a couple of weeks back for Eat Out To Help Out. First thing to note was that the table was a bit sticky. My wife said it showed they disinfected it, but I just think it hadn't been wiped properly. Our order was taken quickly, though we declined to leave our card behind the bar (who would do that if they'd never been before ???). We then had 3 separate people come to ask us to pay the bill over the next 10 minutes. When the food came out, my wife asked for a spoon as she was given a knife and fork for a dish that required a spoon. The response, I kid you not, was "I don't think we have any spoons". As the waitress went away as we are her to check, my wife commented "but they serve desserts!!". A spoon was provided. The whole atmosphere, whilst not unpleasant, did reek of disorganisation, and whilst this could be down to new staff due to Covid-19, it may also not be the case. We just don't know. What I would say us that the food was actually quite good. For the price, great value, I just opting for a burger that was not Brighton Burger standard, but really good for a pub restaurant, whilst my wife had a pasta dish that she said had a very tasty sauce. Might have given it 4 stars, but the staff, whilst very friendly, were just too disorganised.

Pizza Express

16/09/2020: We went as we often do for my birthday and had three courses plus wine. We reeled at how expensive the restaurant has become, when the main ingredient in almost all dishes is effectively, bread! £82 less the £10 per head government payment and a £20 gift card we had.Covid was being managed well, staff were good, but to read in the media that this chain is struggling financially, there was c. 80% gross profit on our meal is unacceptable. Wine is 4-5 times the retail (let alone wholesale) price in the nearby supermarkets, which are not the cheapest anyway. We have paid far less when Pizza Express were offering deals and what happened to my birthday Prosecco? We’ve been losyal for nearly two decades but I can not justify over eighty pounds for a pizza meal.
24/08/2020: Impressed with how this branch are managing distancing during Covid. We visited this week for a family meal and the restaurant felt clean and spaced out well and both the food and staff were great.
