Came here tonight for a daughter / mother date night .. my daughter had pizza 🍕 and was totally scrumptious 😋.. I had the spaghetti & meatballs absolutely to die for .. the service we received was incredible .. and the atmosphere was chilled .. definitely would come again

Very tasty food, large portions, a large selection of different dishes, an individual approach to people with allergies, as my friend is allergic to lactose and it is very important that the manager and waiters understand this. Had a bad day & didn’t want to cook but am on a diet. Checked out the menu on my walk to the car park & spotted their salad was only about 250 cals. Popped in & had this with a cheeky focaccia side & it was lovely. Felt like a treat after a rubbish day. The restaurant was clean & the team were so welcoming I didn’t feel awkward being in there alone like some places do.

Decided to eat out on a Friday evening at a restaurant we hadn't visited in ages. Service was prompt, drinks and food swiftly delivered - restaurant only half full, maybe due to Highest Point festival soaking up some of the usual clientele. Food was good, though bizarrely, my wife's meal though not particularly low in price came with no carbs. £16 for a piece of chicken on a bed of spinach doesn't seem like great value. Which brings me to a more general gripe.... Prices have been hiked across the board - I understand that: minimum wage, Brexit and post-Covid pricing are all factors here - but it should mean that restaurants have to work harder to give value. While the food tasted good, and the service was prompt, £3.50 for a pint of coke/pepsi (with ice) is frankly a rip-off. What is worse is the current trend for adding a service charge to the bill. 10% at this restaurant (but 12.5% at others) - this puts pressure on the customer to justify why they don't want to pay that. Being an electronic transaction, it is also not transparent about who gets the benefit of the 'tip' - is it the restaurant or the serving staff? I have no problem with rewarding a good experience, but some serving staff are better than others. So it's a thumbs down from me to Bella Italia for going down the 'service charge' route.

Excellent staff, and excellent food. The pizza was really nice, although all the other food was equally tasty (mushrooms and bruschetta for starters etc..). Couldn't fault it. They even pointed out the auto-service charge which was nice since most restaurants take this as a given these days.

My husband and I were en route home to Kent from a holiday in the Lake District when he was taken very ill and had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Lancaster Royal Infirmary. We knew no-one in Lancaster. Between hospital visits on my first day I chose to go to Bella Italia in the town. The Manager was incredibly kind and sympathetic to my story. I enjoyed my meal and went to the till to pay, only to be told that the Manager had told the staff my meal was on the house. Such kindness was simply overwhelming. To re-pay the kindness I dined at Bella Italia for the next 5 nights and most of those evenings at least one of the staff came to my table to ask how my husband was getting on. I will never forget such generosity and kindness from all the staff.

Friendly staff, good value, tasty food. Would recommend booking in advance as it was very busy when we went, we also got 25% off our food bill when we showed our cinema ticket from the Vue which we went to earlier.

Very nice pre theatre treat. Great kids portion sizes. Pizza and pasta was really good and service was good too. Waited a little too long for starters but the speed of the mains after made up for it. Nice wine selection.

Came here with my daughter and her boyfriend when I was visiting them at uni and was really happy with our experience. The food was lovely and hot and the menu had lots of different options to cater for everyone. The staff were very efficient and made us feel comfortable. This is my daughters regular spot when she’s here for uni and I will definitely be coming back when I am next in Lancaster. Small note for anyone who’s a bit old like me, the stairs are slightly steep so just be mindful of that.

Lovely atmosphere great food and staff. When we visit Lancaster we look forward to our meal here.We were not disappointed. We booked a table for 12 . The staff dealt admirably with 4 vegan and 2 gluten free orders and managed to deliver all our food at roughly the same time. The food was good and very tasty. A really good place to eat.
