Tasty food with excellent vegan options. Slightly on the expensive side when it comes to drinks however a great experience overall.

Starters were beautiful. My main had to be sent back as the pasta was mushy and part of the sauce. Nish, our server and manager could not of been kinder. He explained that the menu had changed and he had already contacted the company about the new pasta not working. He got me a new main within 5 minutes which was beautiful. He is an asset to the company. Welcoming, friendly and professional, fabulous service.

Can't knock food, but facilities you can, Disabled Toilet door needs a good hard thump to get back out, wrote this on a review months ago, told Manager countless times, yet no improvement!!!

Great food, great drinks, great service. Couldn’t recommend Hannah enough, she was great! Didn’t finish our food as we overestimated how hungry we were, but the food we had was delicious and hot!

Terrible food, carbonara was wrong pasta used to start off with, hardly no sauce in it, no bacon or mushroom in it at all, served luke warm, yak!! Also the other dish my partner had was spaghetti balagnase...again terrible, sauce was horrible, hardly no meat, plus pasta was dry again!! Both dishes was tasteless.... Don't waste your money going, we won't be going back....

This restaurant was amazing.They will gladly change the toppings on a pizza if you ask, and our lovely waitress Angela was really kind and helpful.

Angela was our waitress and she was extremely kind she even told us a bit if Italian.I would definitely come back to Bella italia as the food is amazing and there is quick and friendly service. I had a family member who Can’t have gluten and they had great options for them.

We booked the table online and were able to reserve a booth table that the children love. The piccolo menu is was a success for the children and the adults menu has a great selection. Huge thanks to Panos for looking after us.

Angela was really friendly and made sure we were comfortable with everything and give us money of vouchers for the next visit

Food was okay for the price we paid, wouldn’t pay full price for it though. Majority of the people working here are quite rude/don’t want anything to do with you. Tried to come here twice in the past week but after standing to be seated for 10/15 minutes we went elsewhere. Spent a total of 1 1/2 hours for a pizza and some pasta. Paid the bill in cash, waited 10 minutes to receive change 2 stars based off the food, would’ve been 5 if the pizza wasn’t burnt and the servers had some social skills.

Great atmosphere, lush food and Panos was the best waiter!☺️ Nice and clean,the music wasn't too loud so you could hear each other!

Staff were very welcoming and polite on arrival also asking about allergies which shows their care for customers as well as this the food was brilliant for a very short wait time will definitely will be back again

We went as a group of friends for a special trip, our waiter Panos was very lovely and the food was delicious.

Myself & partner attended this restaurant 21/01/20, after the female assistant 'touted' us to come inside with a 40% off food voucher that she said we could use that night. So on this basis we decided to sit down and we ordered our food. The food itself was 'alright' - basic & nothing to shout about but no complaints either. When we came to pay the bill - we handed over our voucher. The same female assistant came back within seconds & said we couldnt use the voucher as we had ordered from the set menu and not individual menu !!!! Wot an absolute CON - I was very annoyed at this & said it should have been explained at the beginning prior to our order surely. We WONT be coming back - beware in future diners !!!

Whilst Christmas shopping decided to stop and eat here.although extremely busy we were well looked after by a on the ball waiter Ryan could not of given better service.food was delicious and drinks good also.will be back and have highly recommend to friends and family.thankyou

We had an amazing meal in here, the food was real good and tasty service was prompt and very very friendly. We were served by a chap called ryan who was very polite and very professional. I would recommend this restaurant and am definitely going again.

First visit and we will surely come back. Host asked for any allergies on our party which was impressive, we went for the set menu 2 courses for 12.99 giving us a great value. Overall a very good experience

We visited Bella Italia at the Metrocentre today. We were served by Marie who provided a lovely service. Nothing was too much trouble. My pasta was lovely and the Kids meals are really good value. We'll definitely be back.

Attended during a busy hour and got food very quickly and received a fantastic warm welcome off staff. Food was delicious and very enjoyable experience, amazing atmosphere within restaurant at a good price too! Our waiter Ryan was great and attended to us as soon as entered, making us feel very comfortable and welcome! Would return, definitely recommend.

Today I went to Bella Italia for a lunch, it was absolutely amazing experience. The food was so tasty (I had a Cacio E Pepe pasta) and the service was lovely, the waiter Panos were so friendly and helpful with us! I totally recommend this restaurant.

Was given a 'Taste of Italy' card as a present for me and my wife. This means a slightly reduced menu. Even so, the choice of food was great with plenty of variety. The food and service was excellent. All in all, fantastic value for money. We would go again.

The last time we visited we ordered 5 family meals and waited for over an hour to receive our food whilst other diners who came late r than us were served quicker. Frustrating when we have 3 children who become bored and agitated quickly. We will not eat there again.

Food was lovely they have a great range for vegans and vegetarians. Our service was great off Chris. We will be retuning soon.

Visited this restaurant with my partner as we were in the area. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. However the food was nothing special in fact we only really enjoyed the soup. The staff are friendly but very few of them and they rush you though your courses

I visited for the first time yesterday lunch time and my experience was marvellous. In particular service off a charming young blonde lady named lorna. She greeted us with a lovely smile and made our trip very enjoyable 10/10 will come be back again.

We were seated to our table in the restaurant immediately as it wasn't particularly busy. We perused the menu and decided what we wanted to order. However, we were still yet to have our drinks order taken. A further 15 minutes passed by and unfortunately no staff member seemed interested in taking our drink/food order - despite there being 6 members of staff on the floor. Walked passed us numerous times and we were not acknowledged. Very disappointing. Due to this terrible service, we left without ordering. Will not be attending this establishment again.

Went today and had some lovely food However the service was less than admirableWe were shown to a table by a young girl black skirt cream jumper (no pinny like the rest so assuming manager/supervisor) and left for nearly 15 mins without a drink. I got up to ask and she made someone else come over. Service very slow, tables dirty around. Girl mentioned above dawdling around faffing with her hair attempting to look busy. Not checked on at all. We had to ask her to come over and she didn’t hear. We commented to another member if staff that she must be hard of hearing since she was slow close and he rolled his eyes. Everyone around us seemed to be having problems, too. Our bill had to be corrected 3 times as well. More items on than we had ordered, incorrect drink price that was in the menu, charged for a dessert which was in the 2 course deal. All in all not worth the aggro of bad service for okay food. Won’t be back until there seems to be better staffing. A real shame.

Visited for lunch, restaurant failrly busy. Ordered lasagne for my son and a pepperoni pizza and garlic flatbread to share. I have never seen pizza so thin, dry and lacking in cheese. The garlic flatbread was also extremely thin and dry. My son's lasagne whilst very hot was also very dry and mailnly pasta. Nobody came to check if our food was OK, eventually came over to clear the table and then asked if everything was OK. When we explained that the pizza and was thin and dry and pasta also too dry, the waiter looked surprised then said sorry.. Bill came to £40 which is not a cheap lunch, especially when hte quality was so poor. Will not be back

Two weeks ago we visited Bella Italian to take advantage of 40% off main course offer. My husband odered a Carne Mista pizza which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had the Cacia e pepe pasta which was to die for. We were so impressed by the quality and freshness of the dishes that we went back there last weekend. This time hubby had the calzone pizza whilst I had Cacia e pepe again. On both occasions the quality and customer service was consistently very good. We went there for about 7:30pm on Saturday each time and this was ideal.... Not too busy.

Excellent pizza, definitely recommend to all my friends and family as i dont think you will find a better place. Very tasty!

We thought we’d have a quick and cheap Italian whilst shopping in the metro centre.It took a while to be seated, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and it took over ten minutes to get a drink.It was over half an hour to get our starter but the mains were immediately ready but unfortunately sat under the heater for ten minutes whilst we sat and looked at them waiting for some service! The staff were too busy clearing tables to even notice that we were waiting and nobody came to ask if we were ok or if we wanted another drink.I was tempted to walk up and grab our meals.To add insult to injury, my pizza arrived and I specifically asked for no cheese as I choose not to eat dairy, it had mascarpone on it.To be totally fair, they were very apologetic and offered to make another. As we’d waited so long and were in a hurry, I took it and scraped off the cheese and they did knock it off the bill, without me asking.The staff here are nice and friendly but unfortunately are totally oblivious to the fact customers are sitting there experiencing a terrible service!Our starters were both poor so I’d only recommend nipping in for a pizza as the pizza was decent enough, if you have an hour to kill!

Called into the bella italia for late tea got seated straight away ordered our drinks .the waiter fetched our glasses to the table one still had lipstick on the glass we ordered 3 pizzas and a pasta dish with a parmesan crisp well the pizzas where tasteless and the crisp tasted burned called the waiter over he tuck the crisp back to the kitchen he placed it with another one and that one was stone cold then my husband went to the toilet and the sink tap was slack and there was no soap to wash your hands with either told the waiter about it .he said the contract cleaners clean the toilets he would see the manager about it this place is usually ok I don't think I will be returning in a hurry

As soon as we got in we were told there is a 20 delay,3 adults, thought that was ok, as 20 mins would pass quickly. Over half hour, maybe more, the waitress came over and apologised about the delay but they had lost our ticket! we were offered free drinks and a garlic bread. The food came and the burger was insulting for the price, was more the size of a slider, dry and not enough salad on it. the tomato on the margarita pizza was too sweet and lacked enough cheese, carbonara was large and tasty.we couldn't find any staff to pay for our bill so we went to the till to be charged £434.00 obviously a typo. The points are for the politeness of our waitress and the other point is for the carbonara. I wont be eating at any Bella Italia again.

Great service and delicious starter let down by awful mains! Pizza was shocking- tasteless and sad looking! Pasta Luke warm. Will not recommend or return!!

Great service, Valentin welcomed us with a great attitude, service was very quick and he gave us great suggestions about the menu. Food was served quickly and was to an amazing standard. Will definitely come back again!

I would just like to say how amazing the customer service is in the Bella Italia specifically from one waiter called Valentin. I always go to the Bella Italia located in Newcastle, but this one in the metro centre I will not be returning.My salmon had no taste.My potatoes were rock hard, one of them was actually black.My asparagus was really chewy The waiter didn’t ask if everything was alright when I left most of my meal as I would have complained. I didn’t want to go out of my way to complain. Tbh it felt like my food was the leftovers from earlier in the day heated up in the microwave. Never a person for leaving a bad review either.

Lovely meal and great service. Came with my friend while shopping and we will be definitely coming again. The pizza was perfect and the pasta looked delicious. Staff were lovely, especially Valentin.

The only thing Italian about this place is the name. The food is so poor and uninspired ,,,,, more like a snack bar than a restaurant. If you simply want to refuel .... then eat here. If you want Italian food .... then don't.

The food was lovely (the best carbonara I’ve had) and served very quickly, staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice chilled atmosphere. Came tonight with my husband to try the new menu. I had the bruschetta to start which was lovely then the new risotto and my husband a chicken pasta which were both great and the Pana cotta even better. Great service from Sabrina.

Attended Bella last Friday with a couple of friends before we went to the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Pollo Rosso was devine and my friends enjoyed the framenti dessert. We would also return as the staff were lovely, especially Megan who helped us decide what to order.

Met up on Friday night for a family celebration and the food was very disappointing. My husband had the seafood risotto which had a pungent vinegary smell and was otherwise tasteless. I had the vegetarian calzone, which was a dry pizza base rolled up with uncooked vegetables in it. Also thought the service was very indifferent. No particular care or enthusiasm shown at all.

I visited here last week with the family,we had Jen as our waitress and she was a star nothing was a problem for her she went above and beyond for our fussy little eaters. Food was lovely A*** Desserts were fab too. Will be returning the kids loved it and reasonably priced too :)

Went with family for sons birthday. Our waitress was Jennifer, Couldn’t ask for a nicer more attentive person to wait on our table. Nothing was a bother and she was so friendly and made sure we had a lovely lunch. Will definitely return if she’s our waitress again.

Pasta Dish and 2 Pizza's were tasty, however a small bottle of Stella and a Lemonade was just short of £8, the bee a 330ml so small bottle was £4.99. They do not have draught beer. You know you will pay a bit more for drinks but nearly £5 for a small bottle of beer - Dick Turpin comes to mind.

Have visited Bella Italia now twice in the past couple of weeks. On both occasions the food and service were excellent. Tonight the guy who served us had only been working there 4 days but he was attentive friendly and professional. Certainly would recommend the Gamberoni. It was amazing. Our waiter recommended the New Zealand Sauvignon Bland. He certainly knew his wines as it was a wonderful flavoured wine. We will be back

last twice I have been there our food has arrived before our drinks with at most two members of staff serving the food and pouring the drinks. then trying to find a member of staff to order desert or your bill is quite hard . real shame as the food is good but we have been put off going as good service is a part of the experience. someone needs to sort it. I see there are many excellent reviews from people making their 1st ever review. always make me think its the staff or their mates but who can blame them - place is being let down my quantity of staff not quality
