We love going here, the food is good and the staff were amazed, we would definitely recommend this place.

Typical wethys cheap and cheerful

Managers attitude shocking no apology for food, my friends jacket potato was cold and my wrap had 2 pieces of chicken in it. She came over and said that's what the wrap was supposed to be and asked if my friend wanted it hot???? Is it not supposed to be when the food was brought back my wrap was full of chicken and jacket was obviously hot but we had to wait. The place was disgusting tables full of of drinks and plates and they didn't clean any tables they were sticky, i will not be back!

Really nice stand the place is so bust but they still keep up with it.

Breakfast was nice , lacking mushrooms though , and had to wait till 11.30 to order a pizza , when the pizza came it had an awful taste and left that taste in my mouth all day not nice ,but service was quick

honestly really disappointed with how downhill this spoons is going. ordered a chicken burger and it was dry flavourless and chewy chips were cold and apparently gravy doesn’t exist in this specific pub which is just personally upsetting 🤣 staff where lovely and quick tho!

The waiter Josh is incredible, he went out of his way to help.is and even noticed when I was battling with a nearly empty mayonnaise bottle, appearing with a fresh one. The meal was delicious and I highly recommend.

The hubby and I love coming to Wetherspoons. The service is always great, staff are friendly even when it’s busy. Food is tasty and reasonably priced and there’s a great selection of drinks. It’s a great spot for a relaxed meal or a few drinks without breaking the bank! Highly recommend this location

Nice staff, good food & beers at good prices

Ordered a BBQ Burger and took out the bacon and tomato and it was really nice, it fell over even with the stick in the middle to hold it up. It wasn’t hot, neither were the chips. They were lukewarm at best. The service was great, had our drinks quickly served to us and the woman who served us kept checking in which was really nice as the place was semi busy too. Atmosphere is alright, what you’d expect from a pub place. Overall a 4/5, the food could have been better but nothing else to criticise.

Worst weatherspoons av been to don’t know how to handle a busy store

I was shocked to find the toilets were on the ground floor, this is unlike other 'spoons I've been to! Food is up to the expected standard,

Not somewhere we normally go but had aunt with us who doesn't like Thai, Indian, Italian etc so came here. 🫣Typical Weatherspoons pub so always full, good offers and decent food. The burgers were really tasty and served quickly even tho busy.

Convenient pub and escape from shopping.

Excellent service and fantastic food . Busy Saturday afternoon and the service was prompt and friendly . Order came in around 20 minutes. Clean tables and great atmosphere.

Going down hill fast this place. There's no structure from management leading to lengthy delays, cold or undercooked food and it's a shame really because only a few years ago I would have given it 5 stars. Now I'm just not going back, there's plenty of options for similar money.

Since the recent Manager has left, it has gone right down hill. The previous Manager kept his staff in shape & now since he has left, God knows who has took over! Basically my beans looked like they were sat there for ages in the kitchen & also I had some hard beans, maybe overcooked. Staff members normally say....is everything okay with your meal? Well nobody asked me, probs because they knew the state of the beans wernt presentable. Basically now they have lost a regular customer & will go for my breakfast elsewhere in the Metrocentre.

This was a brilliant pub for drinking, resembling more of a Brewery than a traditional Spoons! The widespread lamps across the ceiling adds a nice feel and counter's arches of sorts are unique, glass separators at the seating is a neat touch too. I had a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale for the city and seating is so comfy to sit back on, tables are kept clean for isolated areas!

Leffe pint amazing 100% . We ordered two big grills, and they came up by teleportation, lol. For £30 we had a wonderful dinner for 2 . Drinks top notch staff very good promot serviable. Good stuff

We went in for my partners birthday there was 4 of us and the Food was not value for money kids size portions for adults not friendly staff disgusting attitudes worse weatherspoons in north east staff not dressed appropriately hardly no alcohol in drinks would definitely not recommend this place to anyone completely ruined my partner's birthday meal waitress bent over to clean a table and u could practically see everything U shouldn't see needs fully restaffed in my opinion will not be back suppose to b a family orientated restaurant that's a joke my opinion go to keel row weatherspoons in the gate in Newcastle best one around and whoever the cook is wants to ashamed of themselves they should try another occupation because you clearly can't cook

To be honest I went to wetherspoons in the metro centre Gateshead about 5-6 years ago and said we would never go back it was that bad..... We went there last Wednesday day ....how things had changed in this establishment...we both a a full breakfast with tea. 10/10 for food and service...What an improvement....and it was excellent food nothing like 5 years ago.....Thank you to all the staff for uplifting this wetherspoons compared to what we had before...We will be back... excellent - first class...

Lovely pub/restaurant in gateshead Metrocentre. 20/01/2025. great atmosphere and brilliant customer service from the young lad Liam, the waiter, absolutely lovely polite and proffesional young lad, he'll go far. Only downfall was the size of the new sharma wrap i got. Absolutely tiny! Must have been about 2 chicken nuggest in it squashed up! No small side salad, just the wrap. Very disappointed.

Staff dont seem to know what they are doing. Waited for service at the bar for ages, left in the end without buying anything. Used to go regularly for my breakfast but wont bother in future. Its gone downhill.

Average spoons....little bit slow clearing away previous customers ..plates and glasses. Had to request wipedown. Food average spoons fare.Drinks ok cheap enough for area.

Mostly come in here for lunch when shopping at Metrocentre. It is always value for money and we love the food here.. Sharing platters for 3 are a hit with my child... Might need to wait a few minutes for a table as it's full on weekend days.

My wife and I popped here on our Christmas 'date night'. It was the perfect end to a lovely evening. The place was quiet but not empty. We ordered to the table and I was surprised at how fast the drinks arrived. The staff were lovely and place was spotlessly clean. I highly recommend a visit. Hopefully i will be back when the wife and kids want to go shopping.

Ordered a shot of liqueur with a can of lemonade Poured the lemonade to find half a nut float to the top of my drink Handed this to the waiter who came back and told me "it's from your lime" condescendingly Neither him or the bartender seemed to notice that my drink had no lime.... just ice and my drink. This is more disappointing when you keep in mind that I'm ALLERGIC to peanuts, so if that had been a peanut I could have had a reaction...

Wetehrspond used to be the go to. Although the drinks are very competitively priced, the food prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality is the same or in some cases worse. It's a shame. Small com

Busy Venue serving Metrocentre.

I had quite low expectations for the Christmas dinner, but I was very happy with it. The food was tasty and pleasing. Of course the price was excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I don’t often write disappointing reviews, but I think it can also be used as constructive criticism when needed; I have been to quite a few Wetherspoons before, and I have to say this is probably the most miserable I’ve been to. Not once, but three times I have visited in hopes you guys were just having a bad day. Got to the third day and I’ve came to the conclusion that maybe your management should be pepping their staff a bit more… Very awkward table service and bar service; putting drinks down and walking away, and I saw one lady across from me ask for a straw once to which she was met with a little toss of the straw and nothing else, she watched one of your staff just walk away… I visited twice for a little pit stop and one for my dad’s 60th.. and it has always been the same. Very sombre expressions, lack of drive, food always looks like it’s just been thrown on the plate. I’m definitely a creature of habit, so I usually get the same food every whetherspoons I go to, which is why I can say this is definitely the poorest, not just in presentation but in portion sizes (or lack of). Lord knows it isn’t all your staff, as I have been greeted with smiles from a few of them! But most of them make me feel like none of us are welcome in the pub at all. None of us like/ have liked our retail/ fast food/ waiting jobs… but a smile and a bit of laughter makes it go by quicker, I promise!! :/

there were a lot of empty tables and all of them had dirty dishes, and when the waitress finally came to us, she didn't clear all the dirty dishes and we had to clear the rest ourselves, but the bartender was friendly, good beer, the food is worth the money

The fish and chips were ideal as was the pizza.

Food was a big disappointment. Second time in a row we've been here and won't be eating there again. Used to come regularly and it was good standard and value, but the tiny portions and poor presentation have massively let this company down. Not particularly cheap at £15 for a burger and alcoholic drink, especially considering what was put down in front of us.

Me and the lass had a pint before watching gladiator 2. The pint was fine but the movie was not. Service was great but I mainly put that down to my lass ordering before I arrived. Can't complain at cheap beer

I had a southern friend chicken burger with mayonnaise and from the first bite, I had flavour fill up my mouth. It was single handedly the best burger I have ever had. I would 100% recommend to families. I gave atmosphere 4 star as it was a little bit too crowded and hard to find a table at first. Other than this, very good food.

Actually, it’s spacious restaurant here in the Mall. We ordered fish and ships. The food is good and the staff are friendly.

Great retreat from the stress of shopping.

So the food is hit and miss, the set meals are definitely just reheated, processed and manufactured garbage with no nutritional value or substance. I think the sandwiches and some other food is freshly prepared but if they get it right it's not too bad. On the positive though there's bottomless coffees with a decent selection from the self help machine. Rant over.

Meal this afternoon for 2 of us, vegetarian burger was uneatable served with 10 chips, ham and cheese panini was worse and served without any chips or salad. Absolutely the worst meal ever. Never buy food in any Wetherspoons again, waste of money, disgusting

Whole experience was awful. Started with sticky table and finished with dreadful curry which resulted in spending 12 hrs on loo.

Racist staff. Visited the pub in a big group on a Monday night - there were hardly anyone in the place meanwhile they kept telling everyone off for being “loud”. Not a single glass was collected from the table it was blatant racism and an attempt to single out the table against the rest. Will never step foot in any Wetherspoon establishment again absolutely disgraceful behaviour from all stuff I am appalled by the treatment everyone received. Shame on you spoons.

visited Wetherspoon in metro centre on Monday 14th October with friends. There were 25 of u,we ordered food and drinks,spent a lot of money between us. Th pipes quite we were seated upstairs with there being a lot of us.whilst having our and drinks the tables were not cleaned of empty glasses or plates or bottles during our visit.we found the staff to be very rude and racist towards us.we were told to keep the noise down although wearer only talking amongst ourselves in our own language,I find that had we been English customers they would not have been spoken to us as this manner. I would not go again Mitra

This Wetherspoons is in a bit of a run down area of Seaham on a pedestrianised high street, but can't fault the food - probably one of the best Wetherspoons meals we have had & the staff were lovely. We moved tables due to an icy blast from the air con & informed one of the lady staff as we had already ordered, who apologised profusely & said she would turn the air con off. They couldn't do enough for us, returning to the table to ask if we needed anything else & if our meals were o.k.

First time in this area, and their are a friendly and service area very well.

Didn't eat on this occasion, it was a very busy pub, waited a while for a cup as we ordered from the app, staff friendly but very busy.

Visited here last week, worst food I've ever had here. The small fish was smaller than a fish finger, and that hard snd chewy I couldn't cut through it so left it. The chips were dry and the peas cold. Rubbish meal for such inflated prices. Short staffed which resulted in dirty tables and and uncollected glasses and plates. Might pop in for a drink in the future but won't be wasting money on food.

It's OK, nothing special bar staff who served me was a bit aggressive in her manner didn't really want to give me her time when ordering food at bar then food arrived not the best it was warm. Will not go back

Very disappointed with the pricing and menu at Wetherspoons. The cost of neatly £15 for fish and chips and a pint does not seem to follow the ethos of value for money, yes they sell a pint of bitter for £1.99 but you are more than a pub, you also sell food and not the highest quality so bring your prices down to reflect the quality. Also really disappointed with no steaks on the menu and curry selection was poor. I seem to be visiting Wetherspoon establishments less and less. Maybe get back to providing great value food and drink

Very slow getting served with only one server

Well this has to be the worst bar meal I've had. I've not been here for ages the menu wasn't great so we ordered American burger with chips . Awful food . The tinest portion of dry oven chips accompanied by a dry burger . I didn't eat it I thought it was vile. I actually don't know how they dare to present that dreadful food if you can call it food to anyone . That's off my list .

The staff are patient and helpful. I often bring people with special needs because the staff actively assist us to have a pleasant visit.

As far a spoons, standard. Random guy at the bar talked to me about alcohol. Random drunk but you know what, made my day at the metro. I recommend a classic Bells and coke, for only 1.80. enjoy!
