Bella Italia in Milton Keynes

Very small portions not sure if was because of a bank holiday but was not impressed

Our server Scott was welcoming and attentive. The menu was great, something for everyone. Would definitely visit again.

I had a lovely dinner with my young son at Bella Italia MK. Our server Dianne was really good with my son, engaging with him and being very patient. She also kept checking on us to make sure we were OK throughout the meal. The food was very yummy and great portion size especially for the small kids meal.

We arrived 20minutes late for our booking due to traffic but were accommodated without a problem. Service and friendliness was excellent and served us in plenty of time to make the MK theatre performance. Good pasta dishes too

This restaurant is very close to MK Theatre and so convenient. We were going to a matinee performance at the theatre needing g to be in our seats around 14.15, we arrived at 12.15, our order was not taken till 12.45 (despite us asking earlier if we could place order) and then our food came out at 13.40. Other tables arrived after us and got to order before us. They were short staffed, busy, not full though, but at no point did they keep us informed on timing, other people in the restaurant were getting frustrated and at least one couple walked out. When we got the bill we were given a reduction in the cost of the bottle of wine but with no apology or explanation for the delay. Will go somewhere else next time we are at the theatre.

Appalling service. Arrived 10 minutes early for our 12.30 booking. Took over 30 minutes for someone to take our drinks order and a further 30 minutes for our food order. Our food finally arrived after about 40 minutes and 1 of the meals was cold. I took it to the counter myself as there wasn't a waiter around to speak to. 10 minutes later my order arrived hot, but obviously nuked. So few staff (I think 3) to cope with a full restaurant, most of which were attending the matinee performance at the theatre. I counted at least 3 parties that left without being served. We were given a £10 discount on the bill, but the whole experience was dreadful. Need more staff Bella Italia!!!

I visited Bella italia tonight for some food with my partner and daughter and it was absolutely outstanding! The food and service I cannot fault. I had the pleasure of dealing with Alexa who was very honest and helpful regarding the food. Will defo be returning 🤩

I ordered Deliveroo today. The carbonara was not inappropriate and 5 pieces of pancetta. Taste like cook pasta. Disgusting. 2 times I called the Store but I couldn't talk to the manager. Very poor service.

We came here for dinner had 3 courses and a alcoholic drink each.Brushetti to start..... lovely, lasagne, fries,roasted potatoes all very tasty and hot.Puddings were sticky toffee and lemon cheesecake.... both nice. All in all a lovely meal and service was efficient and friendly.

Scott is one of the most welcoming and friendly person I've met in the food industry or should I say in my life the food was brilliant and the place was spotless

Scott was serving a table and was very friendly and informative. The restaurant was very busy but this didn't stop the staff from giving everyone the best service, even when some customers were being rude and demanding.

Came here on spec when our booking elsewhere didn't work out. Reliable without being exciting. Options other than pizza and pasta rather limited. The dishes we chose were good, service was positive and efficient. Definitely a chain, but you are unlikely to go wrong here. We wouldn't return as a first choice, but might be good choice for families.

Honestly, the food was overpriced and not good. The quality was not at the level needed for the price charged. I have had significantly better food for much lower prices. I would not go there again.

A midrange restaurant that does fairly good food. I took a colleague to lunch there and would do so again. He ate an interesting pasta dish. The sort you would not cook for yourself at home. I had Chicken Milanese. Both very good. One course plus drinks £48 for two people.

Staff were very lovely but beside that a few problems occurred. One of our children ordered a large pizza from the kids menu and received the smallest pizza ever, also tasting disgusting. We also did not get our starter until after our main course, and as we have to leave we had to cancel the starters, not even getting a chance to order desert. Many people experienced it there too. Won’t be coming back, though lovely staff.

Not sure where to start, 7 of us went for a pre-theatre meal. The main points are: We all received our meals at different times, with 5 side dishes missing, of which 3 where brought out after our meal, and 2 never brought out at all, though they were on the bill. The children's meals (or snack) was truly shocking. Again the starters werent brought out, the mini pizza, looked like a piece if stale bread with tomatoe sauce wiped over it, we gave up waiting for their pudding. Would never return. However the three members of staff, did their very best under pressure, as many where complaing. I did feel uncomfortable for them. More staff needed.

Awesome spaghetti Bolognese with a nice glass of Chianti. Living the dream.

Service could be better, you jow have to ask for ground pepper and parmigiana for your pasta dish.?

No stars Absolutely awful service ordered on Just eat app for 18:00 delivery they kept changing the time ended up at 20:30 called them and got digital message no one would pick up, cancelled order on app useless company.

I love watching the pasta I ordered sit in the window while nobody picks it up for 10 minutes because they want to put forks on tables, to then eat cold pasta that tasted like tinned tomatoes and nothing else. I don't think Bella Italia is for me.

Lovely meal! Charged for 3 waters instead of 2 lady did apologise and rectified this as soon as. Same with when the bill came there was a mix up nearly charged £11.30 instead of £11.13. For vegetarians and vegans would be nice if they did a cheese that isn’t parmesan cheese.

Me and my friend went to have lunch at Bella Italia near theatre. The restaurant wasn’t very busy. They had £5 pasta deal which is fantastic. The food was so good! The pastas were served hot and fresh. Nice presentation as well. Our waitress Ahid was very polite and attentive. She made sure we have everything we needed. Big thanks to the chef and Ahid!

Great service from our friendly and attentive server, Ahid. Delicious food and prepared quickly by the chef. The Pollo Cacciatore could have done with a bit more chicken and lardons but the sauce was tasty. Spicy sausage pasta and Carbonara were spot on!

Great evening here tonight as we received a restaurant card gift card 4 xmas . Have never been before . Arrived earlier than our slotted time and we were seated quickly and greeted with a warm welcome. January, so had some great deals on and signed up to emails and received a 15percent off code . Service was quick and efficient. Food was served quickly and roasting hot. Flavoursome meals we were all really happy with ! With the deals on in the restaurant 4 jan and 15 percent off we all had a starter / main / 1 person had a pudding/ 5 drinks 70 ish quid. Cant go wrong!!!! 100 recommend 👌

Tasty food and excellent service!

We always receive good food and friendly service whenever we visit. A first class experience every visit.

Our meal was so tasty. The mozzarella fingers with the chilli sauce were delicious. The sauce wasn't too hot, just enough chilli. The Christmas starter of baked camembert with flat bread was so nice. Followed by pasta with chicken, bacon pardons in a very tasty sauce and a meat feast pizza. The pizza was the best we have had for a long time. Our waitress was very friendly and gave great service. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning.

Too slow service. I paid for parking from 11:30 to 13:30 Can you imagine?!! After 2 hours, my parking session expired but still no food arrived at our table. So rude staff. When I told them, they ignored me and said we are busy to listen to you. Horrible

The best Italian meal we have ever had. That is comparing it to restaurants in Vegas, Malta, France and the UK. Everything was spot-on and exceptionally tasty. Very friendly service. It is, by far, the best Bella Italia that we've been to.

Two great culinary experiences! I need to start this review by admitting that my Italian self and my wife are very demanding and very picky with Italian food as it's always very hard to find a decent Italian restaurant outside of Italy. I am now happy to say that Milton Keynes had a very positive surprise waiting for me. On par with some of the best Italian restaurants that I've previously visited in London. We had dinner here on a busy Saturday, beginning of October, and I must say, Bella Italia is definitely worth visiting. We were so happy with our experience that we decided to come back for an encore a month later, Sunday 10 November. Once again, everything was impeccable, from service, to the staff, and most importantly, the food was really delicious. The food is very tasty, feels fresh, and the staff is really welcoming. A big thank you to Jay, the team member that made both our visits to this establishment really unique, and who made my wife and I want to come back weeks later for more delicious food. Dear Jay, a big thank you, thank you for your professionalism, and thank you for making this place feel almost like home. It really means a lot for two Italians in love with food. Impromptu after theatre matinee dinner was very nice and we were able to sit under the heaters in the outside area as fully booked. Great waiter who was very helpful. Food was good too. Only criticism is the toilets were a bit grim and their floors were not clean from dust etc.

The service was wonderful, and the lady who served us, Viki, was so kind and warm. Although chef kitchen needs to learn how to cook al dente pasta, apart from that, the service was excellent, and the Martini Espresso was amazing.

Enjoyed a lunch here, nicely served by Vidislava. Good location for the theatre and the John Lewis end of the shopping centre. Prices moderate. Food was properly hot and pleasing. My only regret is that they have thinned down the meat end of the menu; it is heavily pasta and pizza oriented nowadays. Nevertheless I enjoyed a caprese salad and a carbonara with added chicken. Bella is a chain Italian with all that implies.

my cooker broke so ordered a takeaway through just eat between both of these companies they first set the delivery driver to the wrong address then he delivers it in just a paper bag no thermos bag at all, the food was cold i phoned the restaurant and the man down the phone said not our problem !! just eat want to give me £8.71 refund on a £39 order that was inedible do not use this restaurant

We came in for dinner on the 29th October. The food was great. We were served by a lovely young lady called Jay. She was polite and made sure we had all We needed. She made us feel very welcome Would recommend and will be back again.

Bought a triple chicken pizza which was okay. Came with a free bolognaise as part of an offer which would usually cost £14 so that was fair BUT for an Italian honestly the WORST bolognaise I’ve ever tried it was basically bolognaise flavoured pasta… 99% spaghetti and a faint bolognaise sauce basically no meat. Again…. Worst bolognaise I’ve ever had in my life. You are basically paying £14 for a bowl of spaghetti.

Came in at the weekend for a bite to eat and was immediately greeted by a server called jay who was absolutely amazing throughout the whole evening she made sure our food was perfect and that we were given the best service ever had to leave her a tip 10/10 would defo pop in here again.

Bella Italia has been my fav restaurant for years and this one is no different. The food is absolutely amazing! The spaghetti bolognese has been my go to order and I love it every time.

Amid the rush from the theatre this was a welcoming retreat. We were shown to our table in the outer conservatory type structure with IR heaters. Our waiter - Arif - promptly took our order and delivered them quickly and efficiently, our only criticism the desserts could have been hotter.

Always a pleasure going here, Atmosphere was great. My go to carbonara always hits the spot definitely recommend it if you don’t know what to get from all the mouthwatering choices. Now onto the service nothing but the best, Jay was an absolute legend hand down one of my favourite servers. The food came on time, very friendly while taking our order, and has a great work ethic. We use this restaurant when we go the the MK theatre and enjoy the food. It is busy before and between performances. For the second consecutive visit we have been told they have no Pino Grigio. It’s a popular Italian white wine and we are in an Italian restaurant. Get more in! Enjoyed the service and food, always consistent.

Pollo Cacciatore pasta had a lot of tomato taste. Pizza for its size is pricey and was a bit rubbery. Didn't feel authentic

Came during lunch time and got a window seat. The service was so great and the food came out so quick. First time trying Bella Italia and it was really good, would definitely come back again!

I was disappointed with my visit to Bella Italia in the theatre district. I was quickly shown to my seat in a fairly quiet, but well-lit restaurant. The menu was placed in my hand and the greeter left. I was immediately approached by the server wanting to take my order, I'd barely had time to open the menu, but ok, 'keen', I thought. The food was all delicious and really quite good value for money. My food was delivered so fast after placing my order, that if I didn't know better I'd have thought it was from someone else's table! Unfortunately, that's where the speediness stopped. When he took my plate away the server asked if I'd like to order dessert. I told him that I'd not chosen yet and could he come back in a couple of minutes. He returned 42 minutes later!!! I'd chosen a hot chocolate and mini donuts. The mini donuts were unceremoniously thrown in front of me a few moments later, but the hot chocolate took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. I was seated so close to the barista that I was able to watch him make it, but also I was able to watch it sit on the counter and go cold, while two servers sat at the pass, chatting - yet sat - on the counter top/cabinet that stands in front of the pass! Only when the barista realised I was watching all of this, did he signal to them for one of them to deliver it to me. I watched servers repeatedly hanging out at the pass and chatting. Whilst it was a very promising start with prompt service and great food, sadly the service went from one end of the scale to the other and was dreadful by the time dessert was ordered. Getting my bill was another ordeal entirely and I virtually had to leave the restaurant almost before anyone got my bill. I decided that being a lone diner perhaps I became invisible as the restaurant filled up - this is no excuse though. To top it all off, there was a fly buzzing around my food for the duration of my time there!

Such a lovely meal, staff were very welcoming and pleasant. So busy in there on Friday and we still received service and our food very quickly. All 4 of us went for 3 courses and they had a deal on that was very good value for money for the amount of food we had. My favourite was definitely the dough balls starter but everyone agreed that the food was lovely. Would definitely go back!
