Lovely pub, serving good classic pub food. Reasonably priced, staff were very pleasant. Has extensive outdoor seating and nice views.

Only had a drink, on a quiet Monday evening, but the place was clean, the staff very hospitable and the atmosphere although quiet was nice.

Fabulous food, staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere, like a little country pub.

Ate here for the first time today. Wife had Scampi, Son had kids sausage and mash, I had homemade tikka and father in law had hunters chicken. Portion sizes are great, reasonably priced and overall with the great service a great experience.

Local is small, but has a soul and looks amazing! Garden is huge, lot of space for kids to running 🏃‍♂️ 😀 and has a beautiful view! Food was just ok ;-). Definitely we will be back there!

Been coming here for the past 6/7 weeks and celebrated a birthday here today. I'd been a couple times before also and customer service has always been top drawer. Today bar staff helped out with the Birthday. Hiding a cake I'd brought with me, bringing it out and actually singing happy birthday too. Was a good laugh! Also, they've signs for cash is king etc so with many places refusing cash, please use it here. They see all of the money opposed to a bank taking a share. Will be back again soo and thank you for helping out adding to the joy of a good birthday

Excellent "Olde Worlde" blackcountry pub

First time here, lovely little pub tucked away in the corner. Came for food and drinks with friends. Food was lovely. Mixed grill was massive but Sausages abit over done for us. Staff were happy enough to wrap up the remaining meat to go.

Food was bostin, more than generous with portions. Staff were lovely and friendly. Plenty of choices. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a lovely meal, nicely cooked, reasonable prices. Husband enjoyed the beer. The only thing we would recommend is to serve the food on hot plates. Cold plates always spoil a nice meal.

We felt that £11.50 for a bacon and brie baguette and chips was excessive.

It's a nice little pub with an unassuming atmosphere and views from the back of it. Very dog friendly. The interiors are gorgeous and give you a rustic Vibe. We went on a Sunday and the kitchen closed at 5pm just before our arrival, so it's probably worth calling them ahead if you're wanting food.

Family and friends gathering, great selection of beers and lagers. Staff accommodating as we just turned up mob handed. Didn't eat. Great view out the back of the Black Country.

Didn't appreciate the barstaff openly discussing the fact they ripped me off well take a wild guess on why I won't be back

We have visited this pub a number of times and really enjoy the food and atmosphere. The food is home cooked ‘pub grub’ but really hearty and flavoursome. I’ve had the vegetarian lasagne and it’s really nice and seasoned well. They are happy to adjust dishes too if you ask, which they have done for us everytime we have visited. The puddings are nice with the cheesecake being a favourite choice, although they used to be a bit more generous on the portion size, and I’m sure the price has increased slightly (but still nice if you enjoy a pudding and that’s me being a tad overzealous on my puddings haha) It can get busy in there which I always think is a good sign, but it’s always worth calling and booking a table before arrival to save disappointment.

Lovely little cosy pub. I had the beetroot and butternut squash wellington for my Sunday roast and some garlic mushrooms for starters. The portion was huge and tasty. The staff are friendly.

Came here for a few drinks. Very nice pub. Love the old classic features to this place. Pints were very good. Great place for a pint of bathams. Food was also very good, pints are great and the pub always has a great ambience and atmosphere. I highly recommend coming here for a great time.

We had not been to this pub for years and wanted to come back in the winter as it is such a cosy place and it didn't disappoint as the real log fire was going. We hadn't planned to eat but we decided to. I had beef lasagne which was just how I like it done with lots of cheese and my husband had a chicken burger which he really enjoyed. It's obviously very popular as lots of tables booked and all the staff were friendly with the male barman whose name I did not know wins the award for the happiest barman ever! We will be back soon.

By chance we drove past on the way back from clent hills, after a good Hike we sat down and had food, the Sunday roast was great , the wife had fish and chips which she really enjoyed . Well worth a visit

In comparison to some of the bigger chains the menu is a little limited however that is more than made up by the quality and portion size. Definitely recommend.

Always on the look out for somewhere decent to go and what a find! Service was good, place was cozy everyone in there seemed relaxed which is a massive positive. Everything I asked did not seem a bother to them. Meals were a good size and quality was very good. Myself I'm not too keen on massive onion rings just don't think they taste as good as the smaller ones but they were the best large onion rings I have tried will give them that! Beans instead of peas on the mixed grill was a nice touch and again very tasty (wonder if you could swap to peas if requested for next time🤔) The cheesecake although salted caramel is also not my favorite prefer lemon or Oreo, it was still to die for really shocked me! I can find no real reason why I would not return or why I would not recommend to others. They do so many things right! Need to pop back when not driving to sample there beers didn't really see what ales they have on offer so can not comment but if as good as there food should be no issues at all. Bell & bear inn have already raised the bar very high for 2024, well done to all who work there.

Came across this lovely pub after searching the internet when I was nearby. I was looking for somewhere to eat and this place had good reviews. What a find! I arrived around late lunchtime and it was packed out (always a good sign). Once inside, I asked the girl behind the bar if she had a table for one free to which she replied something like not at the moment. As I really wanted to have a meal of some kind, I asked how long the waiting time was. She then said that some people had just paid their bill and that I could have their table when they left which didn't take long. I sat down with a drink and a menu was brought to me within a short space of time. Lots to choose from including starters,mains and puds I chose the chicken,ham and leek pie, changed the chips for mash and my meal arrived pretty quickly. It was absolutely delicious! The little jug of thick unctuous gravy was just to die for too. The atmosphere was very friendly and the girls behind the bar were lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend for a very good good time meal. I will definitely be going back.

Brilliant place for a food and drinks. Very cosy atmosphere. Brilliant value for money in a country pub vibe! Open fires and log burners make it even cosier. Great atmosphere inside and not too loud. Staff there are so attentive. Best place in the area by a mile!

If your the type of person who like oldie world pubs with good food and a welcoming small atmosphere then you will probably be looking for the Bell and bear a 400 Yr farm house, the down side you've got to book early, but I'm sure you won't regret it as you sit with a good drink and look forward you meal.

Went for Sunday lunch, family of 7( pre-booked table). We all had roast dinner - 3 beef, 3 lamb and one chicken. Lot's of meat and good selection of veg. Very tasty. Had side orders of peri roast potatoes and dauphinoise potatoes which were amazing. No - one could manage a desert as we were so full. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Just stopped in on the off chance (Friday) and decided to have a meal, freshley battered fish & chips for me and Lasanya for my wife both meals were substantial and tasty (batter lovely & crisp & chips were great. Didn't have to wait more than 15mins for the food, would certainly call in again. A nice pint of Butty Bach and friendly staff, next time I go I'll wait for the sun and try the rear garden out

Absolutely terrible experiance especially working for the brewery sector. How I have been treated for a brewery taking my food order, stealing my money by not delivering my food, to ask on what's happened all over 2 mixed menus has blown my mind this evening. To not like feedback on a garden menu that if it states garden surely that means outside? To then the worst of being attacked and barred in front of all customers for a brewery taking my money and not delivering food? If anyone else is confused on such behaviour then please get in touch! As stated working for the brewery sector I cannot wait to give this feedback. As a customer and not a worker this evening I am shocked of such behaviour bar managers think they have when really from my experience they are the problem! Customers first! Manners cost nothing! Don't think much more can be said on behaviours occurred here this evening but if your face don't fit then your not welcome!

We come every week with the family , the staff are fantastic , can’t do enough for you especially Lynn.. we visited today 7/9/23 and it was crazy busy due to the wonderful weather all the staff were doing their best can’t thank you enough for the hospitality , for always making us feel welcome .. we will see you next week

Booked a meal at Bell and bear 26/07/2023. I cannot recommend it enough. All the food was excellent, tasty tender and very well priced. Portions were more than ample. Still ate it all. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. A big thank you for a wonderful meal in a lovely atmosphere. Craig Walker.

Bit of a wait for drinks but staff were apologising and saying we would be served next which we were. Staff were great tbf. Very friendly. Nice atmosphere in the pub with a beautiful beer garden. Didn't have food so can't comment on that.

The Bell n Bear grill is by far the best mixed grill I have had in years. To say I like my food is an understatement but I couldn't finish it. Best value for money around. You need to book if eating in the evening.

Fabulous food and great service with a smile!

Very nice, quirky pub. Service was quite slow on a Saturday evening when it wasn't full and having ask for menus once we had been sat for 10 minutes. If you want wine, then stay well clear, cheap and nasty stuff. Food was amazing and top notch. I personally had the curry and the naan bread was better than some you get from a Indian takeaway. Good selection of drinks and the staff are a good laugh.

Great place! Not local but had popped to that area for something else and needed some lunch, quick google search and came across this place, thought we would give it a try. Bank holiday Monday and no tables unless booked but managed to find a table in the bar. Excellent friendly service, accommodating and knowledgeable about food allergies/intolerances. Food was good traditional pub food, home made and great portion sizes. Shame we are not local as would be a great regular place to go.

This is a regular haunt for us, as the staff kindly book us onto a specific table, as one of our party needs to be situated in a more private area. The food is great, lovely pub grub, plentiful, hot and delicious. The staff are fantastic! So friendly and accommodating, always willing to help out. Always great banter and laughs! They always go above and beyond! If you are looking for a cosy, friendly, local pub, I cannot recommend this enough!
