Belgrade Cafe in Hackney

Sad to find out that this is permanently closed. Great music and even better food, the man who run it was so welcoming and interesting to chat with, I hope he is ok. An artistic laid back vibe cafe with personality, welcoming to all and offering cultural networking for all tastes, in the middle of a fiercely gentrificated stoke newington. Deserves a review even after permanently closed. Thank you for having us!

I rarely write reviews, but this cafe is one of the most lovely environments in London. It is great to rest and relax, but also to work if you need to. The food is divine, the tea and coffee is excellent. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Delicious Brie avocado and harissa toasted sandwiches and salads. Not a huge menu but the above are spot on. Cafe is hardly publicised which is a shame as the owner is a lovely chap who uses fresh food quality ingredients and doesn’t scrimp on them unlike some other places where “avocado on toast” means microscopic amount of avocado paste smeared on bread. Portions are satisfying.

This is my favourite cafe in Dalston. It's cheap (£8 or less per dish), coffee is good, service is fast and the food is incredible. I'm addicted to all their salads and the courgette sandwich. Super chill vibe and comfy. Dogs allowed, too. And there are ample places to park your bike.

The guy running this cafe puts a lot of effort into making tasty simple food... And it takes a while. But they cannot accommodate taking food away. I got a tasty sandwich which was obliterated when I got into work, it was toasted when I didn't want it to be and dripping with dressing and salad... It did look delicious before I left though, and I did eat it, so.... Sit in, or outside, and kick back. But for take away, forget it.
