I stumbled in here on day 4 of my West Highland Way walk nursing an injury and it couldn’t have been more fantastic. Had a much needed breakfast and coffee, and a really good chat with the girl at the bar (can’t believe I didn’t catch her name as we spoke for ages). Was really lovely and welcoming - can be isolating doing a long distance hike at a quiet time of the year, so this was really welcome. She gave me great advice both in terms of pushing on with the hike but also transport links if I couldn’t manage it. Could not recommend enough - I will definitely be staying here in the Spring when I try the WHW again - hopefully this time with a less dodgy knee!

We stayed in one of the huts, had dinner and drinks in the pub and used the shop for bits and pieces, and it was all great. Really good, friendly service. Very possibly the best place to stay on the West Highland Way

We didn’t stay here, but my friend and I stopped for dinner while walking the West Highland Way. We both ordered pasta with garlic bread. When it arrived the garlic bread had been substituted for toasted dry white bread. When we enquired after this, it transpired that they had run out of garlic bread. When we pointed out that dry toast wasn’t really a substitute, they did bring us some chips instead which after a day of walk g was satisfactory. We laughed about it more than being particularly angry, it just seemed an odd decision to make! The pasta was average - nothing special, but filled a hole after a day on the way.

Stayed here while completing the WHW, great stop over. Great wee shop and the bar/restaurant was good too. We were upgraded to one of the bell tents, think we were first to sleep in them. Felt a wee bit wet but after a long day still slept soundly. Depending on time of season the midges are rife here so go prepared with your midge net.

We spent one night in one of their lodge rooms and found it to be very comfortable, clean, warm and cosy. The service was fabulous, the food even more so and everything was very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Glad to find out we don't need to be booked in to camp to use their bar/restaurant in future when we are passing so we will definitely be back. With live music at the weekends and cheap overnight camping it will likely be on our list of good weekends away.

I visited Beinglas campsite Bar and Restaurant in late July 2023. A few of my friends and I stayed at the campsite as one of our stops along the West Highland Way. We all had pizzas, they were nothing particularly special however, still fairly tasty. Service was good - our food came of quickly and staff were very friendly. In conclusion, Beinglas campsite Bar and Restaurant serves its purpose as a place to grab a decent bite to eat, stay warm and (most importantly) stay away from the midges!

Another annual trip to Beinglas only to find it is now the Stagger Inn and under new management. Food is of a lower standard, staff not very professional or helpful and in fact the whole place seems to have gone downhill since I was here last. I was very disappointed. We visited this campsite for a couple of nights away from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the moment we arrived we felt instantly relaxed. We stayed in one of the cabins with en-suite which was lovely and the view over the hills surrounding inverannan are spectacular. Being right in the throughway of the west highland way, the atmosphere all day and evening was so nice as all the walkers who’ll come by can sit and have food and a drink at the on-site aptly named ‘staggers Inn’ so depending on how much you want to drink depends entirely how you ‘stagger’ out 😀 Food and service was very good and Ian the head chef added lashings of humour to season further. There is also an on-site shop which sells all the essentials from mid-gee spray to toiletries etc. There are also excellent shower facilities. We visited Falloch falls which is only a 5 min drive away or a 40 min walk approx.. highly recommend as the waterfall is amazing and it’s excellent for a swim .. a lot of fun for both adults and children. In the evenings we enjoyed live music and brilliant atmosphere before falling into bed happily exhausted. Thank you to everyone there and we will definitely be back!

Menu looks good but management prioritise “regulars” over exhausted trekkers. Arguably a mismatch between the different types of guest they try to accommodate. They asked a visiting English hiker to leave whilst I was there in preference for a local group with a clearly aggressive dog. Feels like a cheap cowboy bar with terriers.

Granted, are you really going to give 5 buns for a sandwich? Yes this time. At the end of our hike on the West Highland Way, we come to this simple restaurant and order two sandwiches. Soooo good! Even a sandwich can be spoiled or made extra tasty; this kitchen really succeeded in doing that. If the rest is also made with so much love, we will eat there again!

We stayed in one of the wooden huts that houses 4. We were only two but had the whole hut for ourselves. It was clean and the bedding hired was a nice surprise as it turned out to be really thick sleeping bag with a liner included. Heater available to plug in if too cold (not the case when we stayed). Showers were nice and warm and toilets clean. Plenty of nice grass for tents. The girl at the bar area could have been less moody. lots of foreigners are doing the WHW, not all speak perfect English or have a vast knowledge of the Scottish "delicacies" offered for breakfast

Stayed in one of the B&B rooms Sept 11th during our West Highland Way experience. The room was way beyond our expectations - spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything and more that you could need. Unbelievable! Better than some hotels we stayed in. There were no tables available in the restaurant, but a lady sitting nearby, along with her companions, kindly offered us hers. (Turned out she was the owner). Not only that, she gave us newspapers to stuff in our boots to help dry them out. Food portions were very generous so I felt bad having to leave some of my very tasty meal. A comfortable nights sleep was followed by a hearty breakfast. Really enjoyed Beinglas Farm - one of the best stops along the WHW. Highly recommend.

I spent a rainy night at the Beinglas Farm while hiking the West Highland Way. Beinglas Farm is conveniently located right on the West Highland Way and offers a variety of accomodations: B&B Rooms, Bunkhouses, Chalets, and Campgrounds. I stayed in a roomy B&B room which was quite spacious and had three single beds in the room. After hiking in the rain all day (with intermittent rain through the night) having the extra space in the room was very handy for drying clothes and gear. The farm has an onsite restaurant and bar, camp store, and laundry facilities. Unfortunately, because of the rainy conditions, all of the farm's facilities under a roof were overcrowded and congested.I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant./bar which has a rustic Pub style. Because of the crowding, seating was at a premium with diners waiting to pounce on any chairs vacated and left available. Dinner felt rushed and the meal unremarkable. Breakfast, served buffet style but with only a mini-buffet was only so-so and had only a few options. There was no fruit or yogurt offered and only bread toast was available with no rolls or croissants.A 10 Pound key deposit is required which I felt was out of line. Conflicting and erroneous information was offered by various members of the Beinglas Farm staff, notably from the Reception Staff (which was also the Bar staff) and the camp store clerks. An important message about the next day's hiking about bridge washouts, was never delivered to either of us.

Mac's Adventures made arrangements for me to stay here on Day 5 of my hike on the West Highland Way. There are a number of different sleeping accommodations available and I was booked into the B & B (Room 3). The room was spacious and very attractive with paintings on the walls and 3 twin beds. The bathroom was large and with a shower only. Some places give you the barest in-room amenities (e.g. some tea bags and instant coffee and some bath and/orshower gel in the bath), but Beinglas Farm supplied a few extras which were most welcome, such as some bisquits and extra options (e.g. hot chocolate), and both shampoo and conditioner in the bath which was appreciated. The breakfast was OK, with several options available, but was served in a rather crowded area filled with other campers and hikers.

This is the worst campsite I stayed during our 2-week-trip through scotland. The toilets and showers were filthy (including brown stripes on the toilet seats) so we preferred to leave un-showered.The no-noise-policy is apparently just decoration on their website because there was partying and singing until 2am. Early birds woke us up around 6.30am so that's not even 5 hours of sleep. If you like to party or get drunk in a pub, stay here. I stayed here recently during my walk on the West Highland Way. I stayed in one of the cabins and paid for bed and breakfast. Although a little worn, the room and bathroom were very clean and had everything I needed. I was there on a Saturday and unfortunately there was loud music in the bar till late, which kept me awake. I had a rest day and Sunday was very quiet. I took the opportunity to do laundry and the facilities were good. The location was very pretty and I enjoyed my rest day reading in the sun. The food in the restaurant/bar was very good. When I first arrived, I thought the staff a little gruff but they went above and beyond when it came to my delayed luggage. Jimmy made sure to take all my information and when my suitcase was delivered there by mistake, Robin took it upon himself to drive it over to my next destination. I was so appreciative as I'd been without my luggage for a week. I would definitely stay there again. And, don't bother eating at The Drover's Inn. We stayed at the campsite for two nights last week and had a brilliant experience. You can't book a pitch on the site but there is no shortage of space. The shower and toilet facilities are great and it even has a really handy on site shop. The campsite pub really is like a quirky village inn and has a great atmosphere - particularly with live music on Saturday night. My only negative of the site is that down the road there is a fabulous traditional pub, The Drovers Inn, and we would have loved to stay there for much of Saturday evening. However, the site has a very strict 'gates close at 11pm' so the pub pretty much empties at that time as everyone heads back - so not to get locked out! Possibly a tactical move to get people in the onsite bar and out of the village pub, but it would be best if there was a pedestrian gate or a keypad to allow people to come and go after 11pm.

This wasn't my first choice of accommodations, but as a campsite it was just fine. We stayed in one of those little bunk buildings. We had to rent sleeping bags and if you have to go in the middle of the night, it can be...

After a hard day on the WHW we were looking forward to a hearty meal. Beinglas did not disappoint with large serves of simple well cooked meals. I had the venison stew which was wonderful. The fish and chips enormous and the salmon was very nice as well. The breakfasts were first class as well

We stopped here whilst walking the West Highland Way for lunch. Really good food and service. There were plenty of facilities for walkers and campers too, including the campsite shop.

I loved this pub, which was a great spot to relax and enjoy traditional Scottish fare. Food was delicious. Inside space was a bit cramped and dark but at the same time cozy, though the large outdoor area provides plenty of fresh air.

This coffee shop has opened relatively recently, as it was not on our leader's notes as a place to stop. It is a very welcome addition to the West Highland Way. We all enjoyed refreshments in the sunshine on picnic benches outside.

We absolutely love this place! Very very friendly staff, the chef especially goes out of the way to greet you, service was fast and food excellent. We ordered the salmon (£11) and rib eye steak (£14) and both were big portions, tasty and freshly cooked. Just what hikers off the West Highland Way needs! There's live music on the day we were there (Friday night), starts at 930pm.

Right adjacent to the West Highland Way in a beautiful valley Beinglas Farm is a great place to stay. We had a lodge room with a veranda which was very well designed, cosy, and comfortable. Excellent plumbing and great shower in the bathroom. The bar/restaurant a few steps away was rudimentary but very friendly serving excellent meals and beer. After a long day walking it all seemed like a little paradise.

The Clachan provided a fabulous night out for a family occasion. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect and the food was exceptionally good and well priced. From start to finish we were very well looked after by polite attentive staff and it looked like everyone in the restaurant was having a great evening also. Everyone at our table enjoyed a great night. Well done all.
