Beijing Paradise in Wiltshire

Havent been for years and now i remember why. Tasteless bland food. Sweet and sour sauce tasted nothing like it should and chow mein was bland.

Wish we didn't bother!!!! Chicken satay just water,pineapple and some rock hard chicken!!! Duck just coverd in beansprouts no sauce!!! Curry sauce only good thing!!!

We had a lovely takeaway. We ordered Salt and Chilli Prawns, Sweet & Sour chicken balls, seaweed, egg fried rice, stir fried bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. I was worried after seeing the reviews but I haven’t been there for years and it used to be great so we decided to see for ourselves. It was really nice. Service was friendly. Tasty food, good sized portions, cooked well. Will definitely continue to go there.

Possibly the worst takeaway I’ve ever bought. Ordered the starter for two which was bbq ribs, vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, prawn toast, and crispy seaweed. Food probably refried 2/3 times. Soaking in grease, dry, not at all edible. Who deep fries chicken satay sticks? Spring rolls nearly black and oozing grease. I wouldn’t even feed a dog with it. Dry bbq ribs black, prawn toasts we’re swimming in grease, crispy seaweed greasy and not crisp. Not suitable for human consumption.

This place was once OK, now it’s horrendous, I wouldn’t write this if I didn’t feel strongly, I like to support local businesses, but the food here is disgraceful. We had the following for our family Saturday evening meal: Mongolian crispy lamb, Chicken chow Mein, Sweet and sour chicken balls, some mushy nondescript pork dish, egg fried rice and prawn crackers, there were no good parts of the meal didn’t taste that fresh, it really was terrible in every way and the pork tasted off to me. Looking through the dirty Perspex windows around the service counter, you could see the corner of the kitchen and judging from the floor and the kitchen equipment on display hygiene doesn’t seem a priority, really I should have walked at that point. The lad serving was in a scruffy black coat and the chef lady was dressed in normal scruffy clothes. I hope someone takes this place over and revamps, we need a decent Chinese in BoA!

Sadly the food was not only shockingly bad but the attitude of the staff equally poor. If you dare to complain you just get told they won’t do anything about it and to go away. Staff arguing and shouting. We are very local and last tried it a few years ago and hoped it had improved. It was worse. AVOID.

We have been using this local take away for the last 15 years, if not longer and this was by far the worst take away they have ever produced. I am sure I am not alone here, but on Friday evening, when you've had a long day working in London, you dont want to cook and are starving, you will eat anything (well almost)! My husband and I ordered chicken chop suey, a pancake roll, chicken sweet / sour balls and mushroom foo yung. Chicken chop suey was literally grey in colour when we opened the carton and comprised of just chicken and beansprouts ( no other ingredients at all and totally bland) - in fact the entire meal was totally bland, even the spring roll was not seasoned and soggy. We persevered as we were hungry and this was a mistake - it should have all been binned. We called the 'restaurant' with our complaint and I was hit with a barrage of shouting in Chinese, the girl on the phone trying to translate and an older woman - screaming at her. Eventually the woman came on the phone and told me the food was fresh, then just shouted at me. So I informed her I would be calling in for a refund - she offered me a credit note, but I refused this, When we showed up for our refund today, she again started to shout at me and tried to offer me a refund for just the chop suey. Eventually she gave in and we walked away with a refund. The whole set up is shocking and has really gone down hill - no customer service unless you want to be shouted at! Maybe they are trying to behave like Wong Keis in Soho, by being rude to their customers, but at least there, the food is amazing! Sadly we will now get out take aways elsewhere and tell all of our friends to avoid them like the plague.

I don't even know how they,re still in business! Ordered the young Chow special fried rice, might as well have been plain fried rice, complete rip off, 1 prawn and 1 piece of chicken and a couple of peas in the whole tub, don't waste your money, I,ve never had a Chinese as bad as this.

Have eaten from here a few times and only once was it not so good. E ery other tine it's absolutely delicious. Best Chinese I've found around here

Simply the WORST Chinese Takeaway that I have ever eaten in all the home countries. One meal we did not order, the curry on another was laced with salt, a sweet and sour meal was so pale in colour that it looked anaemic. Taste in all the meals was ugh. If I could have given a ‘0’rating I would have used it.

I'm usually unimpressed with Chinese/Cantonese takeaway fare but every time I have eaten here it has been very good. Ordered a variety of dishes, most of which were very good, some were exceptional. Exceptional: Mongolian Lamb, Crispy Chilli Beef, Spare Ribs, Chicken and black bean, Very Good: Pancake Rolls (Huge) Fried Rice Even the prawn crackers but were better than most. The noodle dish was the only disappointment. If I had just ordered that I would have been disappointed. Yet again, very impressed though!

Last visited in 2015 had a terrible meal vowed never to go again.2019 was told Beijing Paradise had new owners ,so not wanting to drive to Trowbridge to my favorite Chinese would give it a try.I have had many meals since 2015 and this meal purchased this evening was even worse than the meal I had 4 years ago from the same establishment.Not fully cooked poor quality meat and lack of vegetables.Will I never learn !!!!!!!!

The quality of the meat used in the dishes we ordered was terrible - the chicken meat in the (very) "sweet and spicy" dish just tasted of gristle and the beef dish was tough and tasteless. The quality of ingredients used is very poor. I'd be happy to pay more for quality ingredients.

Used this takeaway for a number of years and it's been going down hill and tonight was the worst, bad enough I finally won't be going back , i tend to eat the same dishes so even more obvious how much it's gone downhill. Tonight I got bad to find they got one dish in the order wrong which ended up being the better dish, the house special fried noodles were shocking most of the meats etc were missing just a tub of very dry noodles

The Special Fried rice was definitely not special, nearly all rice which was claggy, the sweet n sour prawn balls were just huge balls of greasy batter, mushy in the middle with a small prawn inside and the sauce had the consistency of a set blancmange. Awful, most of it I,m afraid to say ended up in the bin. Have been here many times before but never again.

We’ve used Beijing Paradise for years whilst living in Bradford on Avon, and the quality has varied enormously over this time.Lately, it’s been consistently disappointing. It depends greatly on what you order though. Good dishes we’ve had include mushroom curry with rice, salt & chilli prawns, vegetable pancake rolls.Last night’s order included a chicken chow mein. A staple of the Chinese-takeaway menu. It was, at best, terrible. The noddles were dry and firm, the chicken was so chewy it was inedible, and the sprinkling of beansprouts didn’t do much for the lack of taste.Very disappointing - and has really put us off going back. We’ve not tried China Town in the centre of town for a long time. We never found that one great, but I think it’s time to give it another chance. We definitely need to find an alternative!

I’d seen mixed reviews but enjoy Chinese and very handy so thought I’d give it a try Very boring menu, food bland Pleasant service but that not good enough these days

We used this take-away twice on a recent visit. The first time we were given the wrong order but only realised this once home - a car ride away and couldn't be bothered to return having estimated that the wrong order was approximately the same value as our own although not as imaginative. So, we tried again and this time checked our order which was correct but very disappointing. We both ordered a special chow mein and they were pathetic in terms of content, quality and taste. Separating the meat (supposed to be mixed) from the noodles gave us a serving of about 1.5 tablespoons each of very small, chopped pieces - hardly the slices and chunks of meat we get from our local takeaway and no prawns at all. So, we will not be back and on another visit will travel out of town instead.

Been going here for a long period and simply it's the best around, it was shut for a while so tried other but never the same. Order is usually the same, veg spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken balls, mushroom chow mein, egg fried rice and sometimes prawn crackers and I love it. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We got two meals for 2 on a Saturday evening around 7pm Swift turnaround and was ready when promised. Food ok but quite short of meat. Lots of rice and noodles. Parking is a huge plus for this place

Aquí llamado en el camino de vuelta de vacaciones. Es un restaurante de comida para llevar y no, así que he tenidos que en escribir esta crítica. Pedí un chow mein y carne básica mi pareja en salsa de frijol negro de tofu. Mientras que el tamaño de las porciones estaban muy bien, el chow mein en sí era un soso y masa de fideos con glutinous muy poco en el camino de verduras. Es sorprendente que algo así de simple no tenía sabor, ya con la correcta combinación de ingredientes frescos, chow mein puede ser una grapa sabrosa y debería ser fácil para cualquier comida para llevar China para llegar a la derecha. El tofu y la salsa de alubias negras estaba bien, pero nada especial. En general, tengo que decir que no fue una gran experiencia y hay otros, llevar mejor en la zona.

Precio buenas porciones de tamaño. Visitamos mientras estaban de vacaciones en la zona y era terrible comparado a mi local en casa.

Después cambiaron a Bradford on Avon hace 6 meses, hemos sido muy decepcionado con la tome siempre en la ciudad, tanto que a Trowbridge.

Fuimos a este hotel chino hace unas semanas atrás ahora y fue absolutamente además, soy un gran admirador de la cocina china, pero ya no. Teníamos Sweet n pollo pelotas con arroz frito con huevos, carne en salsa de Chili rallado, pollo Chow Mein con patatas fritas. ¿Por dónde empiezo ... La C/Bolas eran rock duro, el arroz era como comer cartón y muy seco, la carne era muy duro y los fideos muy stoggy, y para rematar el Chip (recalentada) estaban fríos. En conjunto es un mal ejemplo de cocina china y nunca jamás volveré. Gracias por una pérdida de € € € €.

We have had takeaways here regularly. Always good quality, generally prompt and hot. Recommend the mongolian lamb

Comida realmente encantadora, grasa no fuma, buenas raciones de tamaño y los ingredientes frescos. Comida de más bonito que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Tuve pollo de especias de mar y arroz al vapor, precioso, tenía mi hija mien la comida de carne y huevos arroz frito, dijo que estaba delicioso. También nos dieron una bolsa de galletas saladas, ¿qué no como gambas. Pedimos comida lista en 10 minutos, muy, muy felices. Muchas gracias.

placed telephone order for a meal for myself .ordered Beef chop suey and fried rice.as it is a 3 mile round trip I was told ready in 15 minutes.Drove down and collected meal.

Menú fijo es muy buena relación calidad-precio. Buena selección de otros platos. Tiempo de espera es, como era de esperar. Tienen una tarjeta de fidelización aunque no promovía y cuando se intenta usar para obtener su descuento y pagar con tarjeta ‘informo!

My favourite is Kung Po Chilli Chicken with Plain boiled rice - great spicy dish - you have to try - Fab

Always on time, always piping hot and really tasty and great value. Cant get much better from a takeaway!

This place used to be good and to say it's now the reverse seems rather like kicking a man while he's down, because I'm told the management hasn't changed, but oh dear! The food was dreadful and almost flavourless apart from liberal helpings of MSG. They also got the order wrong, not that this would have made much difference. To be avoided, I'm afraid.

This place has always been a family favourite for a take away, but not anymore. The food was awful! The pancake roll only had bean sprouts in it with about 4 pieces of very small pork! We also had egg fried rice which was awful, very dry! The chips were dried out and looked like they had been hanging around for a few days! So overall it was a disaster! I would not recommend this to anyone. Don't waste your money! You'd be better off with a Mc Donald's!

This place used to be very good, I can only assume it is under new management as it was absolutely the worst meal I have ever had. They got the order wrong, the food was tasteless and completely inedible. My meal was swimming in grey gravy with large pieces of boiled chicked floating with soft beansprouts. A total disappointment and waste of money. never again!

Restaurant was freezing. Had to keep coats on, no one else in the place all evening....now I know why. Gave us the wrong food. Bland and boring. Will never go back. Sorry ...
