Beijing House in Wigan

Absolutely amazing!! The restaurant is all you can eat. You can order as many dishes as you like for a set price. It definitely did not disappoint!

Had high hopes for this ... went in was put on a table next to the toilets even though there was no one in . Ordered our food it came out bit by bit .. the spring roll was cold in the middle and everything tasted bland like it needed seasoning and salt . The chicken and sweetcorn soup had no taste whatsoever . Everything tasted like it had been microwaved from the night before very dry noodles and rice .we wanted to order a second lot of food no one in sight to re order . I went up to the bar where the lady server was busy plaiting someone's hair ... behind the bar ... we left half of the second lot of food we had . Got the bill and left . Definatley won't be returning . Waste of money .. very disappointing.

We went for our daughters 30th birthday. The food was piping hot, presented well but tasted fantastic. The best spring rolls I’ve ever had. The staff was very quick and very friendly.

We used to really enjoy this eatery. What on Earth has happened When we arrived only 2 other tables in use. The tables were in made. No cutlery,no napkins,no glasses,no menus. It was as if no one was expected. The young Lady server was polite but new little about what dishes were on the menu. Everything required neede to be requested. No urgency in things arriving together When food did arrive,no plates,cutlery,napkins. What’s gone wrong? A former good eatery has lost its way

Excellent all you can eat cooked fresh for each dish. Restaurant decor is like the old eighties style but still clean and worth a try.

Excellent atmosphere for family birthday celebration. Pleasant greeting at the door, given sufficient time to study menu, ordered starters selection, fast service with a smile, piping hot and very tasty, then soup, and main courses all piping hot and very tasty. Although some of the decoration is slightly dated - who goes to a restaurant to look at the decor?? Great fish tank for a family friendly restaurant. Totally recommend, booking advisable, and ensure you have sufficient cash as cards not accepted.

We moved from Norwell, MA in 2010 but return to Beijing House whenever we're in town. Best food of any kind anywhere!

Not very nice overcooked all tasted same. Cornflour thick. Such a shame lovely people serving. No dips. Could do with a good Chinese restaurant in Hindley

Enjoyed the food at this quirky Chinese. Not accepting any cards caused us a big problem when most ATMs in Hindley were out of order. Rather ruined what was otherwise a surprisingly good dinner. Honestly, you need to make it easy for your customers to pay. Very poor.

We tried this place on recommendation of a friend and really glad we did! The place itself is a bit rough round the edges but you're not eating the decor! Food was amazing. With it being an all you can eat I was expecting little portions of everything, was I wrong. Four of us eating, ordered multiple starters (so many I began to feel a bit guilty 😂) and three massive plates of food were brought out really quickly. Ok the calamari was as bit chewy but sides from that the food was amazing. We demolished those and ordered some mains. Again these came really quickly. I had the Thai style king prawn fried rice/chow mein and spicy Thai king prawn. It was one of the nicest things I've eaten. The mains are slightly smaller than full price but if you can keep going they'll keep bringing it. The drinks aren't the cheapest, 3 pounds for a pint of soft drink but I guess that's normal restaurant prices. The staff were lovely but they were getting busy towards when we were leaving, deffo needed one more member of staff on but that's a minor gripe. Even whilst busy they were really polite Someone mentioned on another review that they couldn't take any food away, which is strange as they were giving people containers to take what they couldn't finish with them. We ended up spending 92 pounds (including a small well deserved tip) between four of us! Not bad for an all you can eat. We will definitely be going back!

Well don’t know we’re to start ! Booked a table for 6 30 after being told on booking that 6 30 wasn’t available,then said they could book us in but they were only accepting cash as card machine wasn’t working We arrived on time and they couldn’t find our booking,there were 2 English waitresses who were run off their feet and obviously couldn’t cope!! Then more people arrived and there was obviously no tables available and they had booked as well , anyway we just walked out and went to Abacus on Middlebrook Horwich. Best decision we have ever made the food and service was Amazing!!😀 No more Beijing House!!😡

We have visited a family in the area. We have chosen this restaurant as was very close to the place where we stayed. The restaurant is under new management and the food was just delicious !!!! Andy was very friendly and served us with very kind, polite manners. The grilled ribs tasted heavenly. We ended up going back twice for the dinner. Well Done Andy

Having had many fantastic meals here in the past we booked for a family meal to celebrate our nieces 18th birthday, it didn’t bode well from the start when we arrived and they only had us as a party of 10 not 16 as originally booked. However a table was arranged and drinks orders were taken. It went downhill from there with only part of our starters arriving. When we asked about them we were told the rest were on there way. We’d ordered duck and had to ask for it again only when it arrived they still had missed the other tables portion which had to be reordered. Main courses weren’t much better part way through taking the order they went away and we ended up writing the rest of it down on a piece of paper. When they arrived part of the 1st order was missing some meals were cold and others went cold while we waited for meals to come out, when we questioned the missing items they hadn’t even been ordered. At that point we gave up and asked for the bill. Having arrived at 5.00 thinking it would be relatively quiet for them to deal with a big group we eventually left at 8.00 very disappointed. During the whole evening the phone didn’t stop ringing and delivery drivers were in and out. I think that you need to decide if this is a take away or a restaurant as they clearly can’t manage to do both.

Ordered set meal for 2 had it delivered. Starter really nice, however main meal were poor quality, very watery and chicken appeared to be cubed like you would buy frozen from the supermarket just very poor quality for the price.

We had a very good family meal this evening. We all had the buffet, Everything freshly cooked and piping hot. The staff were very pleasant and friendly It was very nice to be looked after again.

Having been a customer for many years,I am sad to say my visit last week was a huge disappointment...Served by a young kid that could hardly speak English was the first problem..Then spare ribs served with complimentary 2 foot long jet black hair wrapped round it,didnt exactly whet my appetite..Finally after no apology I was asked if I wanted the same portion of ribs with hair removed,or would I like a fresh portion.!!!! My partner took ill half way through the starters, I explained to the waitress that we had to leave, the reason and requested the bill. The bill arrived for the full price. I explained again why we were leaving and stated I was disappointed they hadn't adjusted the bill. I was offered desserts for the children presumably to eat in the car whilst rushing to the hospital. Won't be returning.

Several of us had dinner with a party of visiting Chinese one of whom took care of the ordering, great selection of dishes all of which were made to order and served at just the right rate, the quality of the dishes were great, Drinks selection is good, and the staff are very attentive. Price is fixed but you get what you pay for, a great dinner experience.
