My first time ordering from this takeaway and I had a great experience. The food was great and highly recommend.

not sure what the issue was today as the food is normally really good but all I had was chicken balls and they seem to be under cooked and have a weird/unusual smell to them.

Food was cold and poor quality beef was extremely dry and tough was inedible sauce was disgusting, highly recommend… you stay away from it

This Cantonese take away is top tier, the food is sook flavoursome, not greasy, and the selection is fantastic. The portion sizes are the best I've had. I'd highly recommend 👌🏾

Ordered from here quite a few times and wouldn't have said anything bad until the last order. They made use wait over 3 hrs (still didn't get the food), lied directly on the phone to me saying that it was going to be another 40 minutes after we had already been waiting an hour but i gave them the benefit of the doubt and said it was no problem and then after it had been the second hour of waiting i tried to call back twice and they ignored my call so then my sister tried to call off her phone and i said "they wouldn't ignore my calls on purpose they're probably just busy" and then the answered her straight away and had been sending my number to voice dial. When my sister asked about the food on loud speaker my patience and understand went straight out the window when the woman said it would be another hour and that the food hadn't even left. I didn't get angry, my sister and brother in law obviously were because they had been waiting for 3 hours to be told we would be waiting another hour. I was angry but still remained calm and my sister cancelled the order. I told the woman lying to me was wrong. We're never ordering from this Chinese again and if you're that busy that you can't deliver food for over 4 hours maybe don't try and take orders over the phone as well as sending your customers to voice mail, it's just bad service for any kind of business to do that doesn't leave any trust when you lie multiple times. It's wrong.

Really surprised at these negative reviews! I ordered from Uber Eats - prawn crackers, prawn toast, duck and mushroom and noodles - everything, including the complimentary vegetarian spring rolls, were really delicious! Portions were huge and the price was good, I'll definitely be ordering from here again!!

hi ya , staff seemed friendly and all but the food was on another level . i ordered at 6:21 only to recieve my food 2 hrs later . half of the food was raw , including the bloody pink chicken balls , yet i had a warm fanta . spent £32 and now it's all gona . never coming back , highly reccomend you guys the same ...

Waited over two hours for a delivery that never came :( and the lady on the phone lied about how long the food was going to take to come when we chased the order up etc... and it was a Tuesday night! Not even on the weekend when you’d expect longer waits etc

Normally we order from here no problems. But tonight jesus christ. My partner bless her soul was sick almost 20 minutes after eating her food. Has been stuck on the toilet for about 1 hour. Rest assured we will not be eating here again. I leave this review as a warning to all. Save some toilet roll and the pain of a bad stomach. Have some home cooking.

ordered from this restaurant at 5.05pm tonight. showed up 5.35pm. food was lukewarm and one meal was freezing. called restaurant to complain and request replacement. got told had to deal with uber eats and they insisted food was fresh and hot when sent out. uber eats no help at all on matter and restaurant refused to do anything at all. terrible service and disgusting food. attempted to eat some and was bland flavors and not nice at all. waste of £21! if could have rated no stars I 100% would have!

😡😡😡😡😡😡 Stay well clear... i had chips that looked like was re heated and stuck back in the fryer about 6 times food arrived 2 hours late, had raw chicken balls and satay chicken that was tasteless and chicken very chewy... cold food, rang to complain and not evan a sorry just got next time you visit i will give you a free portion like im going to return! Place has gone seriously down hill as used various times as used to be the best around.. very disapointed and staff attidtude disgusting. Deleivery driver also bad attitude and threw the food into my hands snatched money and drove out my road very quickly making the wheels spin. Only thing i enjoyed about my order was the cold can of fanta! Only gave 1 star as i had to but would be a zero if i could. Stay well clear and save your money. If I could give no stars I would, used this Chinese many many times before but never again after tonight service.. Waited an hour and a half for food on a Sunday night... when food arrived the chips was burnt and dry, no flavour in the chowmein and the beef wasn't edible..told me to take it bk to shop... not sure how when I don't drive?? rang to complain no sorry nothing just said I will refund u next time... their won't be a next time safe to say food went in the bin and my money went down the drain

Found Beholden 4 years ago, the food was great. In the last 2 years, for whatever reason they’ve decided to add ridiculous amounts of salt to their curry sauces totally ruining the meal. I won’t be using them again for this reason.

Food is usually spot on but I found a fly in my food took the food back that m was contaminated and the owner insisted I was lying and that it wasn’t a fly would not eat from here ever again.

Worst experience i've ever had in a Chinese takeaway. They have no respect for their customers! Don't ever order here or go here with your family they are rude, inconsiderate and have no customer respect. Also the food is awful. Also saw unwelcome friends near the side of the building which means they must be inside!! Stay away.

DO NOT ORDER A DELIVERY! Beholden takes your payment but does provide your food. After an hour of waiting we called to ask about the delay, and they said our food had been already been delivered. We explained no food was received so she hung up and wouldnt take any of my calls. Drove to the shop (because they're open after hours) met the delivery driver, who confirmed he had delivered the food to the wrong address...but she still refused to refund. So! 90 minutes after paying I had no takeaway delivered a pointless drive over to the shop at night, rude woman behind the counter, NO REFUND but shes offering me a can of orange fanta for the trouble. Save yourself the bother!

Worst ive tasted First off I found a 2 inch piece of string in my prawn fried rice then i found pieces of hair mixed in with my daughters fried rice. Also the curry sauce aint authentic chinese curry sauce it taste like raw flour. All in all this was the worse chinese cusine ive ever tasted and will definately not be be wasting money here again.

Absolutely the worst Chinese I’ve ever had I ordered bbq spare ribs and mini spring rolls. I would say the meat was definitely not pork, the sauce was not bbq. I will definitely be calling food standards agency. The ribs were cut up into tiny pieces and the bone did not look like a rib. I’ve eaten a lot of spare ribs and these were not pork ribs!!!!! I feel sick from just the one!!!!

We ordered for the first time from Beholden recently and the food was fantastic! Great quality and portion sizes and they even sent a free dish which was a nice surprise. Great range of dishes so we will definitely be regular customers!

Starting eating from here when we ordered from just eat during lockdown . Every dish I've had has been really good then realised they got there own app and do delivery too. This is now my first choice for Chinese food I would recommend it to anyone.

Used to eat from another takeaway but then the food got narly so I tried Beholden and have never looked back, definitely recommend to all lovers of oriental cuisine.

Well I have had 2 meals from here in the last 3 nights it would if been 3 out of 3 but it was shut on Monday. So you can safely say I'm a massive fan. So far ever meal has been cooked to perfection safe are friendly so this place is a welcome addition to the area

First time purchasing a meal from this takeaway and I must say the food was absolutely delicious also received four free spring rolls which were very tasty and the staff very friendly. I definitely will be using them again and I highly recommend them to anybody else who is looking for a good Chinese takeaway, who won’t be disappointed.

Got a few meals from here last night & possibly being boxing night it took over a hour to arrive & needed warming up but surprisingly was a very nice meal. Being a 1st time order from here I will use it again.

The staff are so welcoming, polite and adorable and as a local resident this Chinese is the best for miles upon miles in fact when far away for home - this is the food I crave.
