I love this restaurant so much! I think I've now been about 6 times and always have a great meal there. The food is fantastic, great quality and that bread !!! It's truly worth going just for the bread.....! Lovely waiters as well that can't do enough for you and they leave you alone which I love. Truly recommend this gem of a restaurant...

I went to that Persian restaurant last week. The food taste sensational and devious. It also taste fresh.

1. Food is extremely greasy and smelly. I was told it was freshly made today but the smell told a different story!!! The food was old, smelly, and greasy, so I couldn't touch it, and I threw it away immediately.

great food, amazing bread, nice atmosphere. try their break and lots of starters. the only downside - very few vegetarian options as mains, but plenty of starters.

The kebab had too much bad smell and very old the rice was so dry I got sick …

These guys don’t have a clue ! Awful food, amateur service- this was dinner at the whetstone location, and a terrible waste of money and an evening! It’s tough writing such a negative review, but this is real rubbish.

Our dining experience at this restaurant was delightful, with the lamb and chicken kebabs standing out as highly recommended choices. During weekends, they offer a unique variety of pilau rice, which we paired with a succulent lamb shank. The generously sized, soft, yet delightfully crispy naan straight from the clay oven was a particular treat. The interior exudes a typical Persian ambiance, making it feel like a little piece of Iran right in town. What's more, the prices are quite reasonable, with our entire meal for two coming to just £35.

They have closed down but what they are doing is sending customers to Simas grill and the food is not good at all! We ordered kubideh kebab, masto Khair, fresh bread. No flavour at all and the bread is bought from a shop according to the waitress. I would’ve recommend this at all

We went yesterday for dinner and food was really bad and smell was so bad .. I think food was really old .. disgusting

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The chicken was dry the meat was chewy, the rice was uncooked. I asked for no lemon on one of the dishes and they still had it marinated with lemon, I told them I have allergies. I ended up having to buy chicken from across the road to have it with my uncooked rice. They brought our mains out without clearing the starters. After complaining to the manager he did nothing. Still charged us full price. They don’t care about their customers.

Went to this restaurant on Monday 8th May staff were not at all welcoming or helpfull food was not the best and atmosphere was dead. Manager or owner Amir wasn't very helpful quite didn't ask if we need anything, instead we had to tell him what we needed. Save your money go somewhere else for a meal out. Marks 3 out of 10.

Very disappointing.. Starters are bought from supermarkets, rice is very dry ,food is acceptable not the best.

Highly recommend their bread which are freshly made upon orders, as well as the saffron ice cream. Their kebab and barbecue meat are great but are a little pricy. They do not serve any alcoholic drinks in the restaurant. This place can be a fair candidate for business lunch.

If you have a booking at Beheshte Barin, first of all, be careful because there's one near Ballards Lane and there's one, which we visited, in Whetstone. Yes we somehow managed to go to the wrong one. Anyway, the restaurant was practically empty when we visited although tbf it was a public holiday so credit to them for remaining open when so many other restaurants were closed for the day. I would say that the food was average. We ordered the large platter of mixed kebabs for the three of us - we couldn't finish it. My main gripe was that the kebabs were a little dry. Perhaps that's the Iranian style but personally I prefer the juicier, more succulent Turkish kebabs. Service was mixed.

Absolutely amazing and delicious food! Lovely atmosphere and an amazing place to go out with family. The meat is just Devine. The pickled salad is just chefs kiss 😚 Will definitely be going back very soon.

Really dry and poor quality, tasteless Koobideh. By far the worst in the area. Avoid

Our first experience was great at Yalda night.A polite and helpful waiter served us. Last time ,we went there again, expecting same welcoming service. This time 2 ladies joined their team as waitress. Their behaviour was not polite at all. They were not welcoming at the beginning.Then, We wanted to order fish, asked them what kind of fish they’re serving. She said it’s just fish!!!! Without looking up ! I said I know it’s fish, I mean what kind of fish. She said I don’t know and left!!! We left restaurant without ordering and no one cared why they’re losing their customers.Maybe it even made them happy.less responsibility 😄 food is delicious but for us atmosphere is important.

For years if anyone asked me what is the best place to get Persian food, I'd have said Beheshte without batting an eyelid. I don't know what has happened but the whole place has gone severely downhill. You can walk in to an empty restaurant and ask for a table and be told there's no tables available. No really. It has happened on three occasions. Furthermore the chicken joojeh which I'd say was the nicest I've ever had, has gone from being soft and tender to dry and hard. Nothing like what it used to be. Lastly yesterday we we're given "fresh" falafels. They were clearly old and had been reheated. Once a waiter saw us taking photos of them he came and took them away. We were not charged for them. However when we asked are they fresh they told us yes, so flat out lying to us. If you ask me now where to go for the best Persian I'd say go anywhere but here. Edit: since a change in staff it has gotten even worse. Its like a completely different restaurant now.

A bit less than average compared to other persian restaurants. We ordered a mixed sini kebab; Over Salty Koobide, absolutely uncooked kebab and unprofessional service ..

The server was extremely rude and impatient. We went when the restaurant was pretty much empty and yet got terrible service- everything took so long to arrive and the waiter was never there. We were served a bread that was leftover from a table beside us. When we asked whether this was leftover bread, they lied and said it wasn’t (even though we saw it happen). The quality of the food was completely mediocre and the food didn’t even arrive hot. If you want to try good Iranian food, avoid at all costs, there are way better options on the same street.

Customer servicec was horrible. They got the order wrong and they didn't accept our complaint and didn't change it. The Koobideh kebab was yellow coloured. The serving dishes were cold and food was not hot. The toilet was wet and dirty. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Not welcoming place, waiters were not even bothering coming to us. We waited for good 5 minutes at the door although the waiters were not busy. Then decided to go and ask for a table and they replied there was none despite many empty tables without a reserved sign.

I had 2 portions of kebab for take out and the meat quality was very poor. The koobideh was raw inside, barg was so chewy, and the rice was tasteless.

The absolute WORST service. Told us we couldn’t have dessert and that we had to leave after our mains. I will never go back. What a shame.

This place used to have great food and decent service but the quality in both has terribly dropped. Our rice was completely undercooked, no saffron in rice and just colour, aubergine in the yogurt was undercooked, and Barg kebab was so bad my friend couldn't eat even half of it.

I don't like leaving bad reviews if possible, but this place and the service provided was horrible, unfortunately. Food came in bits and pieces main food came out the sauces to go with it came about 30 min later. Even though it was obvious we had not finished eating, the staff came over 3 times to ask if we finished eating. Staff were lack lustre, and to top it all, they had an automatic service charge on the bill. The place was not even full, maybe 60% full. Never come across such poor service before and can say I don't think I will be going there in a hurry. As I say, I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this place was not good based on my experience

Great food but unfortunately he demanded that we pay service charge.

Went to this restaurant today but will be the first and last time for us. The place looks a bit old and not very clean specially the toilets very dirty. This 2 Mens serving were very slow and not friendly, not welcoming you or smiling it seems like somebody pushed them to do the job. One of us ordered the fish they toke our order then come back said we do not have fish and we were going to leave then said let me go and Check again and come back said yes we do have so you can order also we ordered Khoresht Ghaimeh but was very oily and with bitter taste. So as I said will not go again and will not recommend

Very poor quality. We ordered Kebab with Rice and Khoreshte bademjan, it was such an awful dish, rice smells and it was Indian poor quality rice, Kebab was almost white colour and taste like plastic with onion. Can’t even imagine this such an awful experience from this restaurant, Khoreshte Bademjan was full of pepper red and green😂 with meet ( I supposed meet been in the Fraser for at least 6 months as it was very hard to chew, with no taste, aubergine( bademjan) was with no taste, where on earth someone cook khoreshte Bademjan with red and green pepper? God knows who is the chef of these awful dishes for this high price. I am so disappointed with what I got from this restaurant. No way I order any take away or dine in there. And I would not recommend to anyone.

Very rude lady manger no respect at all. Came here for two people got treated bad with no respect . The woman manger was not respectful the way she was talking to us and telling the waitress to ignore us . We was waiting 45 minutes for the food we order for takeaway to come and we ask the waitress which was nice how long is our take way to go will take and manger interpreting him saying to us in rude way with hand gestures to wait we are very busy . She was not polite and didn’t seem to like us she needs be more polite and respectful to her customers. When we wanted to pay she was asking if he no cash at all to pay as there is no sign or anything saying cash only and told me to come pay secretly by card . Very small space and tight . Small hair found in food with tin foil! Don’t spend your money here ! Service charge for nothing ! Which was not told ! No worth it ! She was rushing no listening to what I was saying ! Not enough waitresses! Rushing people to leave as place got busy ! Bad service

The worst Persian meal I've ever had

من و دوستانم تو اين ماه دومين تايمى بود كه اومديم بهشت برين بار اول يه خانم جوان بود كه با خوش امد گويى اش ما رو سر ميز برد و خيلى محترمانه رفتار كرد بار دوم أصلًا اون ادما نبودن يه گروه ديگه با يه ظاهر ها مختلف و خيلى بى ادبانه يه اقاى با موهاى جو گندمى أصلًا نحوه صحبتش خيلى تند بود و انگار ما رو مجبورى تحمل ميكرد واقعاً نميدونم كه چرا دو گروه كه براى يك رستوران كار ميكنن انقدر تفاهم دارن

We have been coming here regularly as a family for 12 years, but today will be the last time we are here. There was a new manager there today who was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The waiter was very friendly and nice and trying his best but was clearly overwhelmed. It took us ages to get the right number of cutlery and glasses and we asked 3 times for hot water with the tea we had ordered and noticed the manager telling the waiter to ignore us. To top it all off at the end the manager claimed that the card machine was broken and we had to pay cash. When we enquired more into this she replied “even if the card machine is working you can’t step out for 3 minutes to go get cash?” implying there were other motives for insisting on cash. A horrible woman and an unpleasant experience. You’ve just lost many regular customers.

We've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, and often go out of our way to travel across London. The staff have always been welcoming and food excellent. Today, we were horrified by the outright rude treatment by the lady who seemed to be in charge. To list just a few thing: -She visibly blocked our waiter from giving any additions such as water or butter that are usually without a fee and even rolled her eyes. -Instead of one extra skewer that we asked for and clarified multiple times, they gave and charged for the full meal. -She refused card payment for the bill claiming the card machine is broken. When questioned, she outright said that we owe it to the business, as Iranians, to support the business with cash, telling us to walk to the nearest cash machine. We didn't appreciate being told to be complicit in overt tax evasion, and it just goes to show the lack of respect this lady has for customers, never mind the law. Such cheap behaviour has dropped the value of this once fine restaurant, to one we will sadly never visit again.

Very attentive staff and the food was tasty and generously portioned. The yogurt drink was the best type I have ever tried.

We came here one time & the food & service was amazing. The owner happened to be there & she seemed very respectable. But on the next visit, it was the worst cholokabab I ever had. Even though the food was subpar, we decided to be nice and pay service charge, however we did not expect to be overcharged £10. When pointed out on original receipt the waiter went to the till and returned with a higher bill and items that we did not eat or order. He then proceeded to scrunch up the original receipt and went to pocket it laughing at us ignoring everything we had been saying. It took being on the phone to the police infront of them, to get them to refund the £10 they had overcharged. They were still hesitant to refund us. Thank goodness we managed to rescue the scrunched up receipt. The attitude of this waiter dealing with this was completely disrespectful and dismissive and when we raised the issue with other staff members they were all confused as to what and why this was happening. They kept saying ‘it’s just a mistake’ which it is but not ours- it was theirs.

Service is terrible, very zombie like atmosphere. Very unwelcoming experience! The food is average which doesn’t make up for the overall stay.

Very disappointed by the quality. The saffron colour was definitely not saffron colour. Rice quality was poor. Gorme sabzi should really be a simple standard food for such restaurant and it was definitely one of the worst ones I’ve had with almost no taste. Was a difficult decision to write this as I I so this may lose business (I sincerely hope they don’t) but the purpose of this review is so they are aware and make changes. I certainly won’t be back and will ask others to avoid. Unless quality improves drastically they will keep losing customers. Lovely staff though.. the only thing that deserved stars

Wile working away we found this gem of a restaurant. Food was so nice, plenty of it, very good value for money, and the staff friendly. Will definitely be back.

We had 2 really excellent meals; lamb kebab and chicken. Helpings were so large we've taken away a lot, enough for 2 subsequent meals, and very tasty. We're certainly planning going back.

The worst Iranian restaurant ever. As an Iranian I went to get two chikend and rice called in Farsi zereshk polo with chicken. They put two piece of small chicken thighs with lots of bones. It was utterly ridiculous and shocking. I would never come back there and advise people to check your box before take it away. The poorest customer service and the worst experience which I had.

The manager is really very rude. The quality of the food is good, but I will never go there because the restaurant manager does not know how to treat customers.

At the moment they have the best Koobideh in London. The other dishes are good but nothing super special. If you are craving a really good Koobideh then definitely worth a visit. We always get takeaways but I have visited the restaurant and they have a very nice interior. They have recently cut their salad portions in half, initially I thought someone had eaten half of it. I understand the financial difficulties everyone and business are encountering but getting a half filled salad box is a little embarrassing.

I spent £80 and was charged the service charge without being asked which isn't necessarily a problem because the service was average up until the end. We asked for our leftover food to be taken as a takeaway and were given a plastic bag for our bread and boxes to pack our own plates up, a bit strange but still not necessarily a problem. We then asked for the table to be cleared so we can take a photo, the response was "maybe, we are a bit busy" when there were only 3 other tables occupied. The waiter that said this then continued to set up other tables while the mess was still on our table. I don't understand how this is acceptable when you are assuming it's okay to charge the service charge and behaving like this once we've paid?

A friend recommended this place and upon reading the reviews I was quite satisfied that it'll be good. We ordered some Falafels (Flafels on the menu) and when they arrived, looked quite nice. As I put one in my mouth I immediately threw it back out. Not what I expected at all. Tasteless, greasy and foul tasting. I asked the waiter if these were fresh and he said " Yes brother, they are fresh". I absolutely didn't believe him and was almost certain that they were not fresh and were reheated in a microwave. I get it, some things do get reheated and microwaves are used, but not this and why lie? Left me a bit skeptical about the other food. The waiter noticed I didn't approve of them and came over to take them away. No charge.

I love the food in here! Nice bunch of people! Baghalipolo and gheyme was amazing! Also I heard fesenjoon is super good there and wanna try next time 😅

I wish I could give zero star! Bad , awful treatment from the cashier and ruddy talked ! I recommend the owner of the restaurant to stay on his business by himself! Because I've asked one the staff who brought me the food and said the owner is not here ! And Sold me a cup of cheap quality apple juice from tesco which whole pack cost £1 for £4.50 and such bad quality of packaging the food ! Not recommended especially for other nationalities because they might think iranian food is the one which you make as food! And they might think iranian people are rude because of your staff on the cashier desk! I’ve visited the restaurant many many times.with my friends.The food is always so tasty and such a good portion.But the service has never been friendly and in no way warm and welcoming .The staff just do the absolute minim in the way of customer service .They take the order ,bring the food and bring the bill and that’s really it .Yesteday I visited again with my friends and waited to be seated At least 3-5 minutes.Absolutely no staff to be seen on the counter or restaurant floor but a few seated customers.A few minutes later a smartly dressed man that had been eating on one of the tables served us.No apology and no acknowledgement whilst he was eating .It turned out there were three staff actually working there .The server was very rude and just not very helpful at all .It got to the point where one of my friends had to point this out .Again he was not only rude but again no apology.We will definitely never be going back there again. !!!

Great food, fresh bread, reasonable prices, make sure you try the fried aubergine dish (kashke).

We enjoyed our very first visit. Starters and main courses were absolutely delicious. Staff were very polite and helpful. Freshly made naan bread was fabulous.All good just one thing no butter nor sumaq for rice. Will recommend this restaurant.

Mainly Good food but waiter tried his best to be inflexible about ordering. Insisting I order mains with starters when we wanted to see how much starters we are before ordering mains. Bad layout of chairs that we couldn’t sit properly. A bit more attention to detail would help.

The meat was clearly not fresh - it tasted terrible. One of our party (who is Persian) couldn’t eat more than a few mouthfuls - hers was the worst. We made a complaint but they didn’t offer any discount. The toilets are dirty and they play terrible music that drives you mad!

Delicious food, great service and clever interior

Nice interior and authentic restaurant! For starters, we ordered kashke baseman and mirzaghasemi. Mirza Ghasemi wasn't great, with almost no egg, very unusual taste for Mirza ghamsemi. Minced and filet kebab was good, the lamb shank was delicious, and the gheyme stew! I would recommend it but avoid Mirza Ghasemi at any cost.

Not impressed by the quality and service. Kebab was over cooked and salad quality was rubbish. Not going to try this place again anytime soon.

24. Chello Kebab Koubideh Two skewers of minced baby lamb, served with grilled tomato. Served with salad and your choice of bread or saffron rice. when the food arrived the kebabs were laden with peppers which are not specified on the menu as above. as a large family we have never experienced this and no other order we have placed any where does this putting of capsicum on food. our family is allergic to peppers and when we addressed it with the restaurant they said we should have mentioned allergies, but why is there no warning on their menu. they said that they cook everything inclusive of peppers. we had to put £400.00 worth of food in the bin. a disgrace, Health and safety need to visit these people. Never again

Really nice chello kabab wouldn't particularly recommend the starters or khoresh dishes, they're ok but this place is all about the kabob! Service seemed a little frassled and it would be nice if they could do something about the acoustics as we couldn't hear each other speak!

Ordinary. Ordered baby lamb fillet skewer and minced lamb skewer. Minced lamb was juicy and well seasoned but baby lamb was somewhat a bit dry and less flavourful. Comes in a big portion so I recommended not ordering starters unless you are sharing the main. Service was nice.

Food was very tasty, with quite big portion sizes. We had someone with us who was vegetarian and her needs were catered for. Service was also very good, but at times slow. Some of the cutlery could have been cleaner and we werent given enough spoons to serve the meals. So for that reason I have not given 5 stars.
