Was going on a long drive with a buddy of mine who knows about food as I do, we come across this gem which had another hidden gem called Kaleem-ullah. He went through the menu like scientists explaining each dish to the finest details which we found really interesting this attention to details forced to us to order abit more but we didn’t regret any items ordered and we demolish the plates one after another and we finished it with nice traditional green tea. We will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

It’s never overly crowded, which makes for a great dining experience. If you go, don’t miss out on the Qabuli Pilau—the flavors are incredible! Since I heard this shop is under New management I went to try the food. I ordered a Chapli kebab for takeaway. Whilst I was waiting Mr kalimullah offered me chicken corn soup which was very tasty especially with their homemade chilli sauce with vinegar. Finally I got my takeaway. The chapli kebab was delicious. I definitely recommend their chapli kebab. Please share your experience

The restaurant was exceptional all around.I can't praise enough the hospitality of it's proprietar Kaleem. The food was incredibly delicious and the portion sizes are humongous .

I just wanted the rice and the guy said it was 16.95 and for the sake of trying and in hope it was as Baba Wali, I accepted. I went to pick up my order to discover I was given mahicha palow, which is not what I wanted but that's fine because I got soup, bread and chickpeas on the side. The taste is not as good as it was at Baba Wali, the rice quite bland. I enjoyed the chickpeas as a side dish.

I have no words to describe the quality taste and portion of food . Customer service is 💯 they are very welcoming, polite and makes you feel home with extraordinary food taste . If u can see the photo the food portion is massive i had a lot and then take home for work lunch 😅 . And we got complimentary chick soup also loads of delicious stone baked break . Dont order on the phone they dont start making the food till you arrive, they said 45mins for karahi i ended up walking out 1hr 30mins and still didnt get the karahi. Fix this service and dont take phone orders if your not going to start cooking until the customer arrives. There is a reason why people do collection orders, so we dont have to wait.

Way too expensive! They charge £12 for just one portion of beans 😂. When I called to raise my concern, the owner was extremely rude and unapologetic, even saying, ‘You shouldn’t come.’ Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Avoid this place at all costs! 👎👎

Authentic afghan food, opposite Hendon masjid so you can pray Maghrib too. One of the best mantu I try in London and I eat mantu everywhere. Nice relaxing place with authentic green tea smell the cardomom and enjoy on the comfortable chairs. Beautiful artwork of places around Afghanistan and afghani TV channel you can watch and enjoy. Feels very homely and is not just a place to eat, but a place to enjoy your evening.

I had dinner here last night, and it was a complete disaster. After waiting 25 minutes, I ordered a lamb shank Kabuli Pilou and a side of lamb kebab, only to be served food that was cold and completely tasteless. I’ve never had cold Kabuli Pilou or kebabs before—certainly not if they were freshly made. I’ve reviewed many restaurants positively, but this place is one to AVOID. They charged me £33 for two inedible dishes. I left the food uneaten; they can have it, but I still paid, out of principle, as I chose to walk into the place. When I asked why I was being charged full price for such poor food, the staff simply smiled and said, "Yes." Unbelievable. Very disappointing.

Hello a few days ago i bought ghbali polo It was very delicious and customer service is very nice I recommend you try it once!!!

Previously I have been using this restaurant which was better but now it’s gone worst day by day. The name baba wali mean best food. But this is a shame to have a restaurant like this. The traditional Afghan food is not like the way they make. If anyone tried proper Afghan food they will never ever come to them. I called few time before and every time I been telling them but when I called him today, they said so don’t buy food from us. Every business should respect the costumer reviews because we paying them not getting anything for free. And they should understand this. If they were giving us free food then they can say anything they want to say. Every time when ever I buy food I pay them £45-60. I m really disappointed from their service and food quality. Poor quality food and it’s getting worst day by day. Will never ever visit them. And I think people are clever and they know what to do?

To be honest, the food was amazing, I order kebabs online but was cancelled and I called him a gentleman. He said don’t worry I will deliver to you with currently respect and I feel bad he didn’t took any from me guys this is the place you order with any questions you feel free to ask with a nicely respect anything you liked thank you so much for bringing me the food without taking money. Love this place! Food is so authentic and really delicious, at reasonable prices. I love that it’s not too busy and everything is made fresh and delicious. Definitely one of my favourite Afghan places to dine at, I think the Mantu and Qabuli Pilau is a must!

I came here with my family, the old man served us we bought a kabuli pulao and found a HAIR in it. Instead of apologising he was blaming my kids, worst experience. Absolutely rubbish service, I'll never come here again.

We should have known the place was not that good when we went there and saw no one else been there! I ordered Qablebi Polo and the food was big portion of low quality stuff. The owner was nice but not very professional. Service was not satisfactory.

Absolutely rubbish service non experience worker.one of them the young man was good. Was in table menue one price and thay charge me £7 extra.the person told me that the price is gone up. I will never go again there. One of the old man who has small kind of French bear try too makes too clever. But this is the UK. Thay will close soon.

They keep calling me a sag which means dog in my language and it was really rude of them

This restaurant has the best Afghan food I’ve ever had. I love their vegetarian options, they’re very diverse and tasty. I especially adore their aubergine dish that is delicious and fulfilling! Their bread is a different story!! I always make sure to take home some extra pieces of it for the second day’s breakfast! I’ve tried many Afghan bread in the area, but Baba Wali’s is the only one made with whole wheat, definitely healthier and more delicious 😋 my son loves their Kabli rice and meat balls! We’re lucky to have this great place in our neighborhood. I always make sure to go there with my friends whenever they’re visiting. Its high standard of food, pleasant service and generosity always impress my guests. Oh and their green tea with its special mix absolutely provides the warmth one needs in London!
