Bee's Knees in Cotswold

Went here for an early lunch on a Thursday afternoon, however the service was good as was the food , look forward to getting there to sample more of the menu.

This is one of those places that doesn't look much from the outside. However, inside is good and the food was excellent if a little limited in choice in the middle of the day and a touch over priced.

Great traditional pub with good beer and a great smoke house. Great for watching sport too as they have a big screen out back

We turned up not really knowing what to expect on a hot day after a long journey, staff were welcoming and super friendly we came as a large family group with the usual assortment of allergies and fussy kids. Fin out waiter was super attentive to everyone adapting the menu as best as possible to suit us all. Really looking after my elderly parents needs. The food is fantastic proper American style BBQ menu all cooked fresh I had the Calamari starter which was moist and fresh quite an achievement these days having rarely had non chewy Calamari. Will definitely visit if I come to Cirencester again. Thankyou Fin and the rest of the guys in the kitchen and Bar 🍻

The food was good,service not as good and was charged a further 10 % When quesioned was told it was to late to change the Bill. This was not service and won't eat here again. Shame

Had a lovely evening here with a group of friends. Service was fantastic and the food amazing. So wish this pub was in our village. Highly recommended.

Ordered the platter to share and whilst it was very tasty, there wasn't much. One slice of beef, 3 chicken wings (???) small tablespoon of pulled pork, dollop of slaw and 10 chopped gherkins. Could really do with more for 25 quid. The saviour was the extra portion of pulled pork chips.

If you are looking for a quiet meal in a peaceful environment I suggest you look elsewhere. I hated it, but am probably not the target clientele. I had previously posted a harsher review but received a thoughtful and cogent reply from the business owner, so have deleted and re-posted. My scoring remains the same

Staff were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived. The food is meat based, generous portions and extremely well cooked and flavoured. We really enjoyed our meals. It's a bit out of the way but certainly well worth visiting.

Popped in here for dinner on our first night of our weekend in Cirencester and loved it. Fantastic service. The ribs were amazing and also lovely half lobster.

Their Sunday roast is so good! A lovely small pub in Cirencester which does great ales and great food. The portions were generous and the service was great. Highly recommended if you’re ever visiting.

Found Bees Knees by accident while trying to find a pub showing the football! Great beers, great atmosphere and service. Went back the next night for food, experience just got better! More great beer, food and service! Took a group of 14 next night too, once again, amazing food with great beer and service. This is how local pubs should be! Wish it was my local... 😉☺️

Out for a family birthday meal and we all had a lovely time. Will definitely be going again.

Lovely staff/land lady, but food was sadly pitiful. £22 platter consisted of 1 sausage, 2 wings, tiny tiny blob of pulled pork and 2 small slices of brisket (+chips, coleslaw, sauce). The sausage was banging to be fair, but the rest didnt impress and wouldn't have known it was smoked at all. My partner had the brisket burger which was also dry and not great. Overall I thought it was ridiculously small for the price and very underwhelming. Sorry to the lovely land lady, but had to be said as Ive been drooling all over the gallery all day so have left quite gutted.

Just had one of the best roast dinners I’ve had in a while. I had the roast chicken which had been slow cooked on the BBQ Grill and the meat was so tender, the best I’ve had in a long time. The only thing I would say is that it was a little cold.

Fantastic food with wonderful flavours and very filling dishes! It was a shame I couldn't manage dessert 😕

Great food and friendly staff. There was a wait for our food but we were informed when we enquired about a table and the staff kept us updated. It's definitely worth a visit for a really good burger and fries.

While staying 1 night and arriving around 8pm in Cirencester, we need some last minute food. We called ahead and despite it being late, we were well accommodated. The food was barbecue smoked - there were a few bits that had run out, be we were warned about this when we called. The food was lush. Would thoroughly recommend give this place a go. Thanks for the great evening 😀.

First time I've eaten in the Bees Knees. Amazing food, open fire, relaxing, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back again We had a mixed platter, so much food, incredible flavours. Beef, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, all cooked on their smoker. With coleslaw, peppercorn pineapple.

Great food and wonderful local service. We really felt at home. 4 of us had drinks, an early dinner and desert. The staff could not have been more accommodating. A very friendly atmosphere and lots of choices, including barbecue ribs which were delicious. So was the salted squid appetizer. Do try it. It's also available as a main course. So we'll, next time!

We happened upon this pub as a last minute meeting place and have been absolutely delighted by the find. 4adults and 3 children were welcomed with smiles. Food was top notch and the pub itself is clean, organised and obviously well looked after. Team have done a great job and we will definitely return in the future. Beers good too :)

A cute pub that serves amazing smoked food. The ribs are fantastic and the Sunday roast is very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's also a dog friendly pub.

Great little pub, absolutely love the hurricane amber beer, the food is amazing as well, check out their twist on Christmas menu if you get a chance.

Very friendly and welcoming x No fault of their own, but transitioning the desert menu so just ice-cream, which was also lush 🥰 We hit it mid week for a birthday catch up with friends, so can't comment on the overall atmosphere as that wouldn't be fair. It suited us just eating and chatting together Will definitely go back.

Went with friends for a meal. We had the brisket burger and a crab BLT. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Staff were friendly and the beer was good, what more do you want?!?

Fantastic food and comfortable surroundings! Beer well maintained and reasonably priced. Enjoyed a meal as a couple; ordered calamari and a BBQ platter (a pictured). Generous portions to suit all palettes including sauces and seasoned fries. Will be back again soon; it's a slightly hidden gem!

I had the most fantastic experience at Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill in Cirencester. From the moment I stepped out of my car, the mouthwatering aroma of smoked meat enveloped me. As I entered the pub, the back area greeted me with a delightful outdoor space adorned with tables and a covered area, complete with smokers, perfect for both sunny and rainy days. The BBQMates reverse flow smoker, alongside the ProQ cabinet smokers, showcased the establishment's commitment to high-quality BBQ. The friendly and comfortable bar area, complete with TVs for sports enthusiasts, added to the welcoming atmosphere. Neil, the passionate and friendly landlord, truly stands out. His dedication to authentic BBQ is evident in every bite. The brisket is an absolute standout, perfectly cooked, while the pork is simply incredible. The pub's family-friendly environment and disabled access make it an ideal destination for all. Overall, Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill is a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough. A traditional pub with good ales. We didn't eat but the barbecue food we saw others enjoying looked and smelled delicious. Handy short walk from the Premier Inn and nicer than a Beefeater!

The Cheeky Swine at the Bees Knees (at the Plume of Feathers) is a really good neighbourhood pub. The staff are attentive and friendly, the interior itself is clean and well thought out and the owners have been careful to retain all the character of this century old pub despite the recent renovations. However, it is the food which really makes this place stand out, the Cheeky Swine crew have a really good menu of barbecue and smoked food with really creative herbs, seasoning and sauces cooked over maple wood fresh every day. We have only been there a few times, but everything we have had has been really good. Even normal sounding things like burgers and fries are bursting with flavours which make eating here really special. A great combination of down to earth, friendly and charming local pub with unexpectedly fantastic food! Thank you, keep up the hard work and welcome to the neighbourhood!

Fantastic BBQ, smoked on site. Had the Korean chicken and it was delicious. Highly recommend; good beer, great BBQ menu, friendly staff, clean, reasonable prices, car park and outside area.

I went to the bee's knees with a friend to try cheeky swine smokehouse and grill at this pub. We tried the beef burger and 3 bee's burger which was very good. Seating outside rear of pub with covered area. Good Pub will visit again.
