Beefy’s Restaurant at Hilton Ageas Bowl in Eastleigh

Lovely food, great service . Beautiful venue, friendly staff. I would recommend going here for a great evening out, overall excellent

Overall.... Good food, truly great staff but let down by dirty toilets and menus. First impressions were bad - just another hotel restaurant - too bright and yet no outdoor lighting to take advantage of the situation, so left looking at yourself in the black double glazing ! Mix of hotel guests, newcomers and some loud blokes in tracksuits who'd been on a course I.e. it's trying to be posh but reliant on the high footfall. Menu given to us was curled up and very dirty - really at these prices ??? The toilets were communal and had dirty urinals. Menu was new for spring but they didn't put down that one option was vegan - luckily we asked or else we wouldn't have eaten it. Perhaps reprint the menus more often then you can update them for errors and keep them clean !! Food was trying hard but let down by some flavors dominating others and we both left the chocolate pudding it was just far too heavy and the orange/mango (?) Was left to wither as it was too cold. Could do with some specials - tried very hard with the standards but some "different" options would have been nice. Wine stupidly priced and not the best for the markup but ok. Having said all that - enjoyed going to a restaurant where the food is loved and the chef is trying. Staff were absolutely great - very knowledgeable and attentive. Would go again for new menu but exhausted it in once go this time. Can go anywhere for a burger or fish n chips!

We loved our visit, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We had the signature Tomahawk for 2, and it was amazing, we would definitely recommend. We will definitely be revisiting as there was a varied menu with lots of choices.

Really enjoyed our 3 course meal at Beefy’s. The staff were very welcoming and it’s a nice varied menu with healthier choices too. My fish was melt in the mouth and my husband loved the belly of the pork. My stewed plums dessert was gorgeous. 10/10 for menu, good, surroundings and service.

Lovely food nice and hot gammon and a delicious warm choc brownie with a view of the ageas bowl. Staff were friendly and would happily eat here again.

Had a wonderful family meal. We had a selection of starters, mains and desserts between 7 of us. Great choice on the menu. The food was delicious, compliments to the chef. The food was okay but extremely expensive for what it was. £8 for 3 scoops of 'normal' ice cream; £15 for a cheeseboard; £18 for a burger and a handful of chips etc.

Visited for dinner after the recent England / NZ International. Good and imaginative choice of 'pub' style food and quick friendly service. Reasonably priced. Food was a little bland for my palate, but that is a personal thing, others will find it fine.

We were staying at the hotel so thought we would try this restaurant. Our order was taken quickly but sadly no food arrived. After 45 minutes, we asked for the food to be chased. The waitress we had spoken with came straight back with our starters. Our mains arrived 20 minutes after the starters were cleared, which was fine. The waitress removed the cost of the starter and the service charge from our bill without us asking which was a positive. A lady on a table next to us also had a meal removed from her bill, so I guess she had a problem as well and the couple the couple the other side had a very long wait between starter and mains and then waited over 30 minutes for a coffee! Strangely though, a man who came in after us had eaten his main and left before or starters even arrived so something was going wrong in the kitchen systems. The good was very nice but totally let down by the service. Such a shame.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel before going on a cruise from Southampton. We had read about this amazing restaurant so were excited to eat here. The service was shocking. We had been in the spa since we arrived so we deliberately booked a late dinner to avoid the rush. It was clear that it had been extremely busy before we arrived but when we arrived most people had finished eating. We stood at the point waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes as staff walked past us many times with their heads down. They had nothing in their hands so we didn’t understand why people kept walking past us but no-one would seat us. Then this was the same for the rest of our evening. We waited over half an hour after being seated to be offered drinks, then another 15 minutes before we ordered. We were becoming more and more aware that it was getting later and maybe the kitchen would close. My husband actually let out a dramatic noise at one point saying that he was dying of hunger while staff walked past. I of course was embarrassed but we were still ignored. When we did eat the food was delicious but the service was the worst I have ever received anywhere. We asked to take our dessert to our room as it had got so late. My husband ordered a chocolate dessert that was given in a box to take to the room. Our breakfast experience was better as we were staying in the hotel but I have never received such terrible service before or since.

Fabulous restaurant all round! The welcome, the service, the staff, the foo / all superb. Great choices on the menu. The quality of food was excellent. Each dish was balanced with delicious ingredients and flavours. Even my request for a fresh fruit salad, not on the menu, was met with a smile and crisp, tasty and varied selection of fruit.
